Leonurus japonicas Houtt., has been recorded as "light body and long life" properties in the oldest classical medicinal book Shennong Bencao Jing thousands of years ago. Herba leonuri, also named Chinese Motherwort or Siberian Motherwort, has the effects of activating blood circulation, regulating menstruation, diuresis and detumescence, clearing heat and detoxifying, and is known as the "sacred medicine of gynecology." It has been well known by doctors and usually used in the treatment of common gynecological diseases in clinic. Leonurine is a very important alkaloid in Herba leonuri, which has many biological activities such as anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation, and anti-apoptosis. Diseases of the cardiovascular system and central nervous system are "major health threats" that threaten human life and health worldwide, however, many drugs have certain side effects right now. This paper reviews the potential molecular therapeutic effects of leonurine on cardiovascular system and central nervous system diseases, highlights the current findings of research progress, and focuses on the therapeutic effects of leonurine in various diseases. At present, leonurine is in the stage of clinical experiment, and we hope that our summary can provide guidance for its future molecular mechanism study and clinical application.

ObjectiveTo explore the therapeutic effect and mechanism of Guipitang on rats with myocardial ischemia. MethodFifty SD rats were divided into five groups： a control group， a model group， low and high-dose Guipitang （7.52， 15.04 g·kg^-1） groups， and a trimetazidine group （0.002 g·kg^-1）. By intragastric administration of vitamin D₃ and feeding rats with high-fat forage and injecting isoproterenol， the rat model of myocardial ischemia was established. After drug treatment of 15 d， an electrocardiogram （ECG） was performed to analyze the degree of myocardial injury. A fully automatic biochemical analyzer was used to detect the changes in the serum levels of total cholesterol （TC）， high-density lipoprotein cholesterol （HDL-C）， triglyceride （TG）， and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol （LDL-C）. Hematoxylin-eosin （HE） staining and Masson staining were used to observe myocardial histopathological changes. TdT-mediated dUTP nick end labeling （TUNEL） staining was used to detect cardiomyocyte apoptosis. Western blot was adopted to detect the protein levels of extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 （ERK1/2）， phospho-ERK1/2 （p-ERK1/2）， p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase （p38 MAPK）， phospho-p38 MAPK （p-p38 MAPK）， B-cell lymphoma-2 （Bcl-2）-associated X （Bax）， Bcl-2， and cleaved cysteine aspartate proteolytic enzyme （cleaved Caspase-3）. ResultCompared with the control group， the ECG S-T segment decreased in the model group. The serum levels of TC， TG， and LDL-C were increased significantly （P<0.05）. The arrangement of myocardial tissue was disordered， and the proportion of cardiomyocyte apoptosis increased. The protein levels of cleaved Caspase-3， Bax， and p-p38 MAPK in the heart were increased， and the Bcl-2 expression was decreased （P<0.05）. Compared with the model group， the S-T segment downward shift was restored in the low and high-dose Guipitang groups and trimetazidine group， and the levels of TC， TG， and LDL-C were decreased. The protein expression of cleaved Caspase-3 and Bax in the heart dropped， and p-p38 MAPK and p-ERK1/2 protein expressions increased significantly （P<0.05）. The degree of myocardial injury was alleviated， and the proportion of cardiomyocyte apoptosis decreased. Bcl-2 protein expression was increased significantly in the low-dose Guipitang group （P<0.05）. ERK1/2 and p38 MAPK proteins had no significant difference among different groups. ConclusionGuipitang could alleviate myocardial injury and inhibit cardiomyocyte apoptosis in rats by activating the expression of ERK1/2 and p38 MAPK.

Objective To explore the correlation between the incidence of foodborne diseases and meteorological factors in Jinan, and to provide targeted measures for the prevention and control of foodborne diseases. Methods Data from the reporting systems of two sentinel hospitals for active surveillance of foodborne diseases from 2013 to 2021 in Jinan were collected. The meteorological data in the same period in Jinan were also collected. The generalized additive model was used to explore the nonlinear relationship between meteorological factors and the incidence of foodborne diseases, and threshold function analysis was use to perform subsection regression. Results The incidence of foodborne diseases was positively correlated with daily average temperature (r_s=0.23), relative humidity (r_s=0.05), and daily average wind speed (r_s=0.01), and negatively correlated with daily average air pressure (r_s=-0.19). Based on the GAM results and segmented regression analysis of meteorological factors, it was found that when the daily average temperature was below or above the threshold of 24.63°C, for every 1°C increase in daily average temperature, the incidence of foodborne diseases correspondingly increased by 0.04% and 0.18%. When the daily average wind speed was above the threshold of 2.26 m/s, the incidence of foodborne diseases decreased by 0.36% for every 1 m/s increase in the daily average wind speed. Conclusion Nine years of observation and data analysis have shown that meteorological factors such as daily average temperature, relative humidity, air pressure, and wind speed are related to the incidence of foodborne diseases. These findings suggest that meteorological factors may be important factors leading to foodborne diseases, which provides an important scientific basis for formulating effective prevention and control measures.

Objective To explore and analyze the application effect of hospital quality monitoring system in medical quality management.Methods 800 patients from March 2021 to March 2022 were selected as the control group and routine medical quality management was adopted;and 800 patients from April 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the experimental group and the hospital quality monitoring system was adopted for medical quality management.Results The complication rate and re-admission rate after implementation were significantly lower than before implementation,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).The satisfaction of patients after implementation was significantly higher than before implementation,and the difference was statis-tically significant(P＜0.05).The score of medical service quality after implementation was significantly higher than before im-plementation,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application effect of hospital quality monitoring system in medical quality management is remarkable,and it is worthy of promotion.

Objective:Studying the effect of PRDX4 on esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cells(esophageal carcinoma,ESCC)proliferation and apoptosis as well as its potential mechanism.Methods:The University of Alabama at Birmingham cancer data analysis portal(UALCAN),gene expression profiling interactive analysis(GEPIA)and the Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)databases were used to predict PRDX4 expres-sion in ESCC and its relationship with pathological features and prognosis.The cancer and adjacent tissues of 60 patients with ESCC who un-derwent radical resection in the Affiliated Hospital of Weifang Medical College from August 2010 to August 2023 were selected as research samples.The expression level of PRDX4 in the patients was detected by immunohistochemistry(IHC).The extracted cancer and adjacent tis-sues were homogenized to analyze its mRNA expression.The expression levels of PRDX4 mRNA and related signaling proteins in ESCC cells were analyzed by real-time quantitative PCR and Western blot.Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8)assay and flow cytometry were used to analyze the effect of PRDX4 on cell proliferation and apoptosis.Finally,a subcutaneous tumor model in nude mice was constructed to validate the in vitro experimental results.Results:The data from the GEPIA and UALCAN showed that PRDX4 expression was abnormally increased and re-lated to the pathology stage,grade,and survival rate of patients.After knockdown and overexpression of PRDX4 in an ESCC cell line,the ex-pression of PRDX4,phos-phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(p-PI3K),phos-protein kinase B(p-AKT),cyclinD1,and survivin protein decreased and increased,respectively;cell proliferation and apoptosis were positively regulated.Compared with the sh-NC group,tumor volume and weight in the sh-PRDX4 group were decreased.Conclusions:PRDX4 regulates the proliferation and apoptosis of ESCC cells by activating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of Forsythia suspensa ethanol extract on the proliferation， migration and invasion of lung cancer cells NCI-H226. METHODS As research objects， lung cancer cells NCI-H226 were divided into control group， F. suspensa ethanol extract low-， medium- and high-concentration groups （5， 10， 20 mg/mL）， activator group [10 mg/mL F. suspensa ethanol extract+0.5 μmol/L nuclear factor kappa B （NF-κB） signaling pathway activator PMA]， inhibitor group （10 mg/mL F. suspensa ethanol extract+10 μmol/L NF-κB signaling pathway inhibitor BAY 11-7082） and positive control group （20 μg/mL cisplatin）. Except for the control group of cells without intervention， all other groups of cells were cultured with corresponding drugs for 24 hours； the proliferation， migration and invasion of cells were all detected， and the proliferation rate， migration rate， and the number of invading cells were also calculated； protein expressions of NF-κB p65， NF-κB inhibitory protein α （IκBα）， phosphorylated NF-κB p65 （p-NF-κB p65） and phosphorylated IκBα （p-IκBα） were determined. RESULTS Compared with control group， the proliferation rate， migration rate， and the number of invading cells as well as the protein expressions of p- IκBα and p-NF-κB p65 were decreased significantly in F. suspensa ethanol extract groups and positive control group （P＜0.05）. Compared with F. suspensa ethanol extract medium-concentration group， the proliferation rate， migration rate， and the number of invading cells as well as above protein expressions were all decreased significantly in inhibitor group （P＜0.05）， while those of activator group were increased significantly （P＜0.05）. CONCLUSIONS F. suspensa ethanol extract can inhibit the proliferation， migration and invasion of lung cancer cells NCI-H226， and the mechanism of which may be related to the inhibition of NF-κB signaling pathway.

Objective:To summarize and analyze the results of the individual dose intercomparison in which province-level health institutions participating, and explore the role of ability intercomparison in improving the detection capabilities of province-level health institutions.Methods:From 2009 to 2022, the results obtained by the province-level CDCs and occupational prevention and control institutions in the individual dose intercomparison countrywide for time periods of 2009—2020 and 2021—2022 were summarized. The intercomparison results were analyzed and compared for three regions of east, central and west China divided according to the method from China Health Statistics Yearbook 2022.Results:A total of 24 province-level CDCs and 14 occupational prevention and control institutions countrywide participated in the ability intercomparison from 2009—2022 for 13 times. Number of participating institutions increased from 26 in 2009 to 37 in 2022. The qualified rates of the intercomparison results among the province-level health institutions in the three regions were maintained at higher than 85% for 37 times and 100% for 28 times. The pass rate and excellent rate of the three regions were higher than the overall level at whole country level (2009-2020) and national level (2021-2022) in the same period for 9 and 5 times, respectively. The excellent rate of province-level health institutions in central region were higher than that of the other two regions in 9 intercomparisons.Conclusions:With the improvement of the intercomparison standard, the province-level health institutions in various regions have maintained a relatively stable and high detection capability. The ability intercomparison effectively improve the detection ability and the quality control of the province-level health organizations. Many province-level agencies have listed the ability intercomparison as the regular work.

Objective: To improve radiation testing institutions’ ability and levels of personal dose monitoring for external exposure and standardize monitoring work. Methods: According to Testing Criteria of Personnel Dosimetry Performance for External Exposure (GBZ 207—2016), the intercomparison programme was made, the 2021 class-based personal dose monitoring intercomparison were organized by the National Institute for Radiological Protection, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and provincial monitoring institutions. Results: A total of 150 institutions participated in the 2021 national intercomparison of personal dose monitoring capability. Of them, 143 (95.3%) passed the assessment, including 51 excellent institutions (excellent rate, 34.0%), and 7 (4.7%) failed to pass the assessments. Conclusion The 2021 national personal dosimetry performance intercomparison showed great improvements in the pass rate and excellent rate compared with previous national assessments. However, still seven institutions failed to pass this assessment, including four institu- tions with class A qualifications. The testing institutions need to find out the reasons to increase their testing ability. This class-based intercomparison improved the point-to-plane relationship between the organizing and testing institutions, help- ing the organizing institution focus on improving the testing ability of provincial testing institutions and class A radiation health service institutions.

Objective:To enhance the capabilities of individual monitoring technology services for external exposure.Methods:The intercomparison results of the national individual monitoring for external exposure during 2015-2019 were presented, together with a summary and analysis provided of the main existing problems.Results:By 2019, 382 of individual monitoring technology service uints, from 30 provinces, autonomous regions or municipalities, participated in the individual monitoring intercomparisons results, involving disease control and prevention centers, occupational prevention and control institutions, research institutes, universities, nuclear industry, medical institutions, and companies. Except for slightly low in 2017, the pass rate in the other four years was above 90%. The excellence rate increased with the years.Conclusions:The capabilities of individual monitoring service units can meet the concerned requirements and provide standardized monitoring report for the period of 2015 to 2019, but with some being unqualified. These service units should carefully analyze and identify the reasons for the failure, standardize the quality control of laboratory, and improve the level of measurement and the ability of data analysis.

Objective: To compare the test results of domestic and imported eye lens and ring dosimeters, and master some dosimetric performance indexes of eye lens and ring dosimeters. Methods: According to IEC 62387—2012 and GBZ 128—2019, the performance of the eye lens dosimeters and ring dosimeters with the domestic thermoluminescence detectors were compared with the imported thermoluminescence detectors in photon response. The dose response deviation of the im- ported eye lens dosimeter and imported ring dosimeter was studied under the same irradiation condition. The difference of linear response between imported ring dosimeter and domestic ring dosimeter was studied under the same irradiation condition.  Results: The same dose was irradiated to domestic and imported thermoluminescence detectors in the imported eye lens and imported ring dosimeters, and the linear correlation coefficient all met R2 > 0.999. The maximum response devi- ation of the imported eye lens dosimeter and ring dosimeter was less than 10.0% for the same dose. Two kinds of imported ring dosimeters and one kind of domestic ring dosimeter were irradiated with the same dose, and the linear correlation coefficient all met R2 > 0.99. Conclusion Both domestic detectors and imported detectors can meet the needs of monitoring re- quirements. There was no obvious difference in linear response between imported ring dosimeter and domestic ring dosimet- er. The repeatability of imported eye lens dosimeter and imported ring dosimeter met the performance requirements of the dosimeter.
