Coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CHD)is an ischemic cardiovascular condition caused by the narrowing or blockage of the vascular lumen due to coronary atherosclerosis.Clinically,it presents as angina pectoris,heart failure,or sud-den cardiac death,and stands as one of the primary causes of mortality among both urban and rural populations in China.Cir-cRNA,classified as non-coding RNAs,can function as upstream regulatory molecules for miRNA or RNA-binding proteins.They actively participate in various pathological processes associated with CHD,including endothelial cell dysfunction,smooth mus-cle cell migration,macrophage-derived foam cell formation,an-giogenesis,myocardial injury,and repair,as well as post-in-farction heart failure.The expression pattern of these molecules is highly specific to the illness and tissue,indicating their poten-tial as therapeutic targets for disease management and as biomar-kers.Furthermore,they also open up new avenues for drug tar-get development in the field of traditional Chinese medicine.This article aims to provide an overview of the recent research progress on circRNA in the regulation of coronary heart disease,as well as the mechanisms involved in traditional Chinese medi-cine.It serves as a valuable reference for future research on cor-onary heart disease.

The aim of this study was to investigate the virulence determinants and genetic diversity of foodborne Yersinia enterocolitica from Wenzhou.A total of 71 strains of Yersinia enterocolitica were isolated from food and foodborne diarrhea ca-ses in Wenzhou,and their biotypes,serotypes,and drug resistance were analyzed.On the basis of whole genome sequencing,we assessed virulence gene profiles,and performed multilocus sequence typing(MLST)and core gene multilocus sequence typ-ing(cgMLST).A total of 94.4％(67/71)of isolates belonged to biotype 1A,and the highest proportion had serotype lA/O∶5(29.6％,21/71).The sensitivity rates of the isolates to 14 antibiotics exceeded 95.8％.A total of 16 categories and 126 viru-lence genes were identified,with two strains carrying the pYV plasmid and chromosome-related virulence genes.ST3(31.6％,12/38)was the most widespread MLST type,and cgMLST analysis revealed no dense clusters of genotypes except for strains sharing the same ST.In conclusion,pathogenic strains were identified from foodborne Yersinia enterocolitica in Wenzhou and were found to exhibit high genetic polymorphism.Enhanced regulatory supervision is essential to prevent the outbreak of food-borne diseases caused by Yersinia enterocolitica.

This consensus governs every facet of medical data handling through artificial intelligence, encompassing data gathering, processing, storage, transmission, utilization, and sharing. Its purpose is to ensure the management of medical data adheres to ethical standards and legal requirements, while safeguarding patient privacy and data security. Concurrently, the principles of compliance with the law, patient privacy respect, patient interest protection, and safety and reliability are underscored. Key issues such as informed consent, data usage, intellectual property protection, conflict of interest, and benefit sharing are examined in depth. The enactment of this expert consensus is intended to foster the profound integration and sustainable advancement of artificial intelligence within the medical domain, while simultaneously ensuring that artificial intelligence adheres strictly to the relevant ethical norms and legal frameworks during the processing of medical data.

Objective: To understand the detection rate, epidemic pattern of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in hospitalized children with acute lower respiratory tract infection (ALRTI) in China. Methods: From June 2017 to March 2020, a prospective multi-center study on the viral aetiology among hospitalized children with ALRTI was conducted in six pediatrics hospital of North China, Northeast, Northwest, South China, Southeast, and Southwest China. A total of 2 839 hospitalized children with ALRTI were enrolled, and the respiratory specimens were collected from these cases. A multiplex real-time RT-PCR assay were employed to screen the respiratory viruses, and the molecular epidemiological and clinical characteristics of children infected with RSV were analyzed. Results: The positve rate of RSV was 18.6% (528/2 839), and the positive rate of RSV in different regions ranged from 5.5% to 44.3%. The positive rate of RSV in male was higher than that in female (20.2% vs 16.3%), and there was a significant statistically difference between two groups (χ2=6.74, P=0.009). The positive rate of RSV among children under 5 years old was higher than that among children older than 5 years old (22.3% vs 4.5%), and there was a significant statistically difference between two groups (χ2=97.98,P<0.001). The positive rate of RSV among the <6 months age group was higher than that of other age groups (all P<0.05). During January 2018 and December 2019, RSV was detected in almost all through the year, and showed peaks in winter and spring. RSV-positive cases accounted for 17.0% (46/270) among children with severe pneumonia, including 36 cases infected with RSV alone. Conclusion: RSV is an important viral pathogen in children under 5 years old with ALRTI in China. The virus can be detected almost all through the year and reached the peak in winter and spring. RSV could lead to severe pneumonia in children and caused huge threaten to children's health.

2019-nCoV Omicron (B.1.1.529) variant, which has brought new challenges to the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic, has the characteristics of stronger transmissibility and more rapid transmission and more significant immune evasion. It took only two months to become a predominant strain worldwide after its identification in South Africa in November 2021. Local epidemics caused by Omicron variant have been reported in several provinces in China. However, the epidemiological characteristics of highly mutated Omicron variant remain unclear. This article summarizes the progress in the research of functional mutations, transmissibility, virulence, immune evasion and cross-reactive immune responses of Omicron variant, to provide references for the effective prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic caused by Omicron variant.

Professor YANG Jun's clinical experience of acupuncture and moxibustion for oculomotor paralysis is summarized. Professor YANG Jun pays attention to disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation in the treatment of this disease. According to the characteristics of oculomotor paralysis, "early diagnosis and seeking treatment from the source" is advocated. According to the etiology and pathogenesis, professor YANG divides oculomotor paralysis into three types: the syndrome of wind-evil attacking collaterals, the syndrome of spleen-stomach weakness and the syndrome of qi-deficiency and blood-stasis. As such, the acupoints are selected according to syndrome differentiation, and several different acupuncture methods (pricking needling at eyelids, penetrating needling and lifting eyelids and contralateral- balance needling on the healthy side) are adopted to improve the symptoms of oculomotor paralysis. It is also suggested to use the combination of scalp acupuncture and electroacupuncture to achieve the best dose-effect state. Moreover, local stimulation around the eyes is important to achieve the effects of "qi reaching affected area".

Objective:To analyze the dominant genotypes and epidemic characteristics of human rhinovirus (HRV) in pediatric community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) in China.Methods:Between June 2017 to December 2019, throat swabs or nasopharyngeal aspirates were collected from pediatric CAP patients hospitalized in 6 medical institutions in Southern and Northern China (bounded by Qinling and Huaihe River), respectively.A total of 16 species of common respiratory viruses were screened using respiratory pathogen detection kits.Samples with positive HRV were genotyped for further epidemiological analysis.Results:The total detection rate of HRV in pediatric CAP (2 913 cases) was 12.2%(356 cases) in this study, which was 10.3%(145/1 410 cases) and 14.0%(211/1 503 cases) in Northern and Southern China, respectively.The detection rate of HRV in the Southern region was significantly higher than that in the Northern region, the difference was statistically significant( χ2=9.562, P=0.002). Epidemiological analysis showed that the distribution of HRV-positive cases in the Northern region was similar in all age groups, while 90.5% of positive cases in the Southern region were infants under 3 years.Classified by seasonal distribution, HRV-positive cases in the Northern region were mainly distributed in summer and autumn, while those in the Southern region were mainly distributed in spring and autumn.The coinfection rate of HRV and other pathogens was 40.7%, which was significantly higher in the Southern region than that of Northern region (49.0% vs.28.0%), the difference was statistically significant( χ2=15.801, P<0.001). The most common pathogens mixed with HRV were respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), human boca virus (HBOV) and parainfluenza virus type Ⅲ (PIV3) in the Northern region, with the mixed infection rate of 5.0%, 5.0% and 4.0%, respectively, which were RSV, PIV3 and human metapneumovirus (HMPV) in the Southern region, with the mixed infection rate of 9.0%, 7.0% and 6.0%, respectively.The genotyping results showed that all three HRV genotypes were detected.HRV-A (118/220 cases) was the dominant genotype, followed by HRV-C(82/220 cases). Conclusions:The detection rate of HRV in pediatric CAP cases is 12.2% in this study.There are significant differences in age and seasonal distribution of HRV-positive cases in the Southern and Northern regions.Coinfection of HRV and other pathogens is detected.The coinfection rate is significantly higher in the Southern region than that in the Northern region.HRV-A is the dominant genotype, followed by HRV-C.

Objective:To analyze the status quo and development of the Hope Houses for individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) in Shanghai. Methods:In June, 2018, the organizers and managers of Hope Houses from 16 districts in Shanghai were investigated with the self-designed questionnaires, which covered the personal characteristics, knowledge of related policy, development of projects and obstacles, and rehabilitation recognition. The descriptive analysis and correlational analyses were conducted. Results:Totally, eleven organizers and 16 managers were investigated. The knowledge of related policy for organizers was not good enough. Eight Hope Houses in 16 districts in Shanghai were operated by social organizations. The average implementation rate of projects in Hope Houses was 60.6%, and the highest was rehabilitation knowledge education (96.3%). There was insufficient provision in legal services, job skills training, rehabilitation nursing guidance, job referral, medical referral and education referral, etc. The main related factors limiting the development of the Hope Houses were lacks of budgets, social consensus and professionals. The rehabilitation cognition of organizers and managers was generally good, but the cognition of rehabilitation principles and rehabilitation value needed to be strengthened. Conclusion:The Hope Houses for individuals with SCI in Shanghai work well, and the rehabilitation cognition of organizers and managers is satisfactory. It should be strenghened in resource input, comprehensive rehabilitation and standard of management, to expand the service timely.

Objective To analyze the effectiveness and safety of chest pain centers in the management of patients with acute chest pain.Methods The clinical data of 315 patients with acute chest pain who presented to the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2012 to December 2016 were retrospectively analyzed.The chest pain center of our hospital was established in December 2014.A total of 123 patients with acute chest pain who were treated before the establishment of the chest pain were included as the control group.From December 2014 to December 2016,192 patients with chest pain were admitted and included as the observation group.The percentages of acute myocardial infarction and patients receiving emergency intervention(percutaneous coronary intervention,PCI),the door-to-balloon(D to B)time,average length of hospital stay and rates adverse events between the two groups were compared.Results The percentages of acute myocardial infarction among patients with acute chest pain was 75.6％in the control group and 82.3％in the observation group(P=0.027).The emergency PCI rate was 83.9％in the control group and 92.4％in the observation group(P=0.001).The door-to-balloon time was(64.12±34.76)min in the control group and(58.08±16.26)min in the observation group(P=0.025).The average length of hospital stay was(10.09±4.03)days for the control group,and(7.41±3.78)days for the observation group(P=0.025).There was no statistical difference in the incidence of recurrent myocardial infarction between the 2 groups(P＞0.05).The rates of sudden cardiac death,heart failure,cardiogenic shock and adverse events were all significantly higher in the control group(all P＜0.05).Conclusions The establishment of chest pain center provides safer and more effective treatment to patients with acute chest pain.
