Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract, is associated with a significantly increased risk of both venous and arterial thromboembolism. Common risk factors for thrombosis include disease activity, surgery, older age, central venous catheterization, etc. However, thrombotic events related to pharmacological treatment are often under-recognized, despite their potential for severe consequences. With the rapid expansion of therapeutic options for IBD in recent years, it has become increasingly important to acknowledge that different agents carry varying levels of thrombotic risk. This review summarizes current evidence on the thrombotic risks associated with IBD therapies and outlines preventive strategies, aiming to optimize the thrombosis risk management and reduce treatment-related thrombotic events in IBD patients.

Objective:To construct a new nurse pre-job training program based on transformative learning and explore its preliminary application effect.Methods:A quasi-experimental study was conducted, and 52 new nurses enrolled in 2019 in a three-A hospital of Hangzhou were randomly divided into experimental group ( n=26) and control group ( n=26). The experimental group adopted transformative learning based pre-job training program for new nurses, while the control group adopted traditional pre-job training program for new nurses. SPSS 20.0 and Microsoft Excel 2010 were performed for data processing, and t test and Fisher's exact probability test were used for statistical analysis. Results:After the training, the comparison of two groups of new nurses showed that, the total score of clinical core competence of the experimental group (226.62±32.84) was higher than that of the control group (197.00±29.54), the total score of self-efficacy of the experimental group (28.46±4.94) was higher than that of the control group (24.31±4.76), the total score of the transition shock of the experimental group (77.23±14.13) was lower than that of the control group (91.27±17.98), and the mean value of clinical assessment of the experimental group (73.16±17.05) was higher than that of the control group (61.58±14.24), all with statistical significance ( P<0.05). Conclusion:The pre-job training program for new nurses based on transformative learning can improve the clinical ability and self-efficacy of new nurses, reduce the transition shock of new nurses, and have a profound impact on their career.

Mammals exhibit limited heart regeneration ability, which can lead to heart failure after myocardial infarction. In contrast, zebrafish exhibit remarkable cardiac regeneration capacity. Several cell types and signaling pathways have been reported to participate in this process. However, a comprehensive analysis of how different cells and signals interact and coordinate to regulate cardiac regeneration is unavailable. We collected major cardiac cell types from zebrafish and performed high-precision single-cell transcriptome analyses during both development and post-injury regeneration. We revealed the cellular heterogeneity as well as the molecular progress of cardiomyocytes during these processes, and identified a subtype of atrial cardiomyocyte exhibiting a stem-like state which may transdifferentiate into ventricular cardiomyocytes during regeneration. Furthermore, we identified a regeneration-induced cell (RIC) population in the epicardium-derived cells (EPDC), and demonstrated Angiopoietin 4 (Angpt4) as a specific regulator of heart regeneration. angpt4 expression is specifically and transiently activated in RIC, which initiates a signaling cascade from EPDC to endocardium through the Tie2-MAPK pathway, and further induces activation of cathepsin K in cardiomyocytes through RA signaling. Loss of angpt4 leads to defects in scar tissue resolution and cardiomyocyte proliferation, while overexpression of angpt4 accelerates regeneration. Furthermore, we found that ANGPT4 could enhance proliferation of neonatal rat cardiomyocytes, and promote cardiac repair in mice after myocardial infarction, indicating that the function of Angpt4 is conserved in mammals. Our study provides a mechanistic understanding of heart regeneration at single-cell precision, identifies Angpt4 as a key regulator of cardiomyocyte proliferation and regeneration, and offers a novel therapeutic target for improved recovery after human heart injuries.

Sex reversal, representing extraordinary sexual plasticity during the life cycle, not only triggers reproduction in animals but also affects reproductive and endocrine system-related diseases and cancers in humans. Sex reversal has been broadly reported in animals; however, an integrated resource hub of sex reversal information is still lacking. Here, we constructed a comprehensive database named ASER (Animal Sex Reversal) by integrating sex reversal-related data of 18 species from teleostei to mammalia. We systematically collected 40,018 published papers and mined the sex reversal-associated genes (SRGs), including their regulatory networks, from 1611 core papers. We annotated homologous genes and computed conservation scores for whole genomes across the 18 species. Furthermore, we collected available RNA-seq datasets and investigated the expression dynamics of SRGs during sex reversal or sex determination processes. In addition, we manually annotated 550 in situ hybridization (ISH), fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and im-munohistochemistry (IHC) images of SRGs from the literature and described their spatial expression in the gonads. Collectively, ASER provides a unique and integrated resource for researchers to query and reuse organized data to explore the mechanisms and applications of SRGs in animal breeding and human health. Objective To investigate the home-based rehabilitation of stroke patients in China, and to compare the curative effects under different factors, so as to discuss the strategies for home-based rehabilitation. Methods A total of 234 cases of stroke patients who has been discharged from the center of rehabilitation medicine of a Class Ⅲ Grade A hospital were selected by random cluster sampling method. Family rehabilitation status of patients and their caregivers was investigated by outpatient follow-up, home follow-up and telephone follow-up survey. In the survey, the general information questionnaire, the Barthel Index (BI), the Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL), the Self-perceived Burden Scale (SPBS) and the Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview (ZBI) were applied. Results The results showed that the BI score was (61.77±22.83). The average score of IADL was (7.25±6.26). The SPB score was (29.26±7.07). 91.13% of the patients in the study group had a sense of burden. The ZBI score of the caregivers was (43.97±12.28), 59.40% of which had moderate or severe burden. The result of single factor analysis showed that the differences in the scores of BI, IADL, SPBS and ZBI of patients in different gender were statistically significant (P＜ 0.05). There were significant differences in BI and IADL scores among patients of different ages, main caregivers, family rehabilitation time and caregivers' gender (P＜ 0.05). The differences in the scores of IADL and SPBS of patients with different educational level were statistically significant (P＜0.05). The differences in BI and ZBI scores of patients with different disease types were statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusions The family rehabilitation of stroke patients is poor. Medical workers should pay attention to the rehabilitation of patients after discharge, especially to female stroke patients, caregivers and to strengthen the rehabilitation knowledge training for male caregivers. It is suggested that community rehabilitation, family doctor responsibility system and hospital-community-family Union should be vigorously developed so as to improve the family rehabilitation of stroke patients, reduce readmission rate, increase the utilization of social resources, and improve the health level of the whole people.

Objective To explore the effect of continuous quality improvement nursing on HAMA, HAMD score and pain in patients with cervical spine fracture.Methods A total of 120 cervical spine fracture patients in our hospital were randomly divided into control group (n=60) and experimental group(n=60).The patients of control group received routine nursing care interventions while the patients of experimental group received continuous quality improvement nursing intervention.The Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA), Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) score, visual analogue scale and nursing quality score were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention.Results Compared with intervention before, the scores of HAMD and HAMA in the two groups were decreased after treatment (P<0.05).The scores of HAMD and HAMA in the experimental group were significantly lower (P<0.05).Compared with intervention before, the visual analogue scores of the two groups were decreased in different degrees after intervention, and was significantly lower in experimental group than that of the control group (P<0.05).The quality of nursing was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with conventional care, continuous quality improvement in the treatment of patients with cervical fractures can not only effectively improve the patient''s pain, but also help to improve negative emotions, and improve the quality of care.So it''s worthy of clinical promotion.

Objective To observe and study the effect of PDCA circulation nursing management mode on the axial symptoms, quality of life and satisfaction of patients undergoing cervical operation.Methods A total of 100 patients with cervical vertebrae surgery in our hospital were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 50 cases in each group.The control group was given conventional nursing, and the experimental group used PDCA cycle nursing management mode of nursing, axial symptoms, the quality of life and satisfaction at discharge and in one-year after were compared.Results The experimental group had lower axial symptoms rate than the control group at discharge(P<0.01), and it was higher in one year after discharge than the control group(P<0.01).The quality of life score and satisfaction of the experimental group were significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion PDCA cycle nursing management model can significantly reduce the symptoms of patients with cervical spinal surgery, improve the quality of life and satisfaction of patients, so it is worthy of clinical practice.

Objective To explore the prevalence and relationship of urinary incontinence and depression among elderly female patients.Methods A total of 118 female patients older than 60 years old were interviewed face to face.The prevalence of urinary incontinence and depression were estimated using the International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire Urinary Incontinence Short Form-Chinese (ICIQ-SF-Chinese) and Geriatric Depression Scale-15 (GDS-15).Linear regression and Spearman correlation were used to identify the relationship between urinary incontinence and depression.Results Urinary incontinence was found in 27.1％ (32/118),and depression was in 39.0％ (46/118) of the survey population.Urinary incontinence with depression was found in 13.6％ (16/118) of the overall population.Urinary incontinence was positively correlated with depression,r=0.211,P＜0.05.The frequency of entertainment and urinary incontinence were significantly related to depression symptoms,P＜0.05.Conclusions Urinary incontinence appears to possess an additive effect on incidence of depression,which seriously affects both physical and mental health of patients.Clinicians should give patients health education and intervention measures at early stage.
