Objective:
To investigate the characteristics of psychological symptoms and the associated factors among students with close contact to tuberculosis in school settings,so as to provide evidence for school tuberculosis control and mental health interventions.
Methods:
A cross sectional study was conducted in April 2023 from 4 schools in Hangzhou using a multistage cluster random sampling method. Students identified as close contacts of tuberculosis cases ( n =406) were assigned to the exposure group, while non close contact students ( n =426) were matched at a 1∶1 ratio within the same schools as the non exposure group. A questionnaire survey was employed to collect data on general demographic and family sociological information. Psychological symptoms were assessed using the Symptom Check List-90 (SCL-90). A global severity index (GSI) score ≥2.0 was defined as moderate to severe psychological symptoms (MSPS). Logistic regression analysis was performed to identify associated factors.
Results:
The overall MSPS detection rate was 15.38%. The detection rate in the exposure group (20.69%) was significantly higher than the non exposure group (10.33%)( χ 2=17.14, P <0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that middle or lower family economic status ( OR =1.90, 95% CI =1.10-3.28) and poor interaction with others ( OR =2.95, 95% CI =1.79-4.88) were independent factors associated with MSPS among the exposure group (both P <0.05).
Conclusions
Students who are close contacts of school tuberculosis cases have a relatively high MSPS detection rate. Poor family economic status and poor interaction with social personnel are the main factors influencing MSPS. Schools should simultaneously strengthen psychological health support targeting factors in tuberculosis prevention and control.

Psychological problems are significant factors that contribute to the occurrence of postoperative complications, reduced quality of life, and prolonged hospital stays. Lung cancer patients who require surgery often experience high psychological stress related to both the disease and the treatment, making them more susceptible to depression and anxiety. Therefore, timely intervention to address these psychological issues is crucial for promoting postoperative recovery and improving patients' quality of life. This paper will review the current status, impact, and interventions for depression and anxiety-related psychological problems in lung cancer surgery patients.

In recent years, hybrid brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) have gained significant attention due to their demonstrated advantages in increasing the number of targets and enhancing robustness of the systems. However, Existing studies usually construct BCI systems using intense auditory stimulation and strong central visual stimulation, which lead to poor user experience and indicate a need for improving system comfort. Studies have proved that the use of peripheral visual stimulation and lower intensity of auditory stimulation can effectively boost the user's comfort. Therefore, this study used high-frequency peripheral visual stimulation and 40-dB weak auditory stimulation to elicit steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) and auditory steady-state response (ASSR) signals, building a high-comfort hybrid BCI based on weak audio-visual evoked responses. This system coded 40 targets via 20 high-frequency visual stimulation frequencies and two auditory stimulation frequencies, improving the coding efficiency of BCI systems. Results showed that the hybrid system's averaged classification accuracy was (78.00 ± 12.18) %, and the information transfer rate (ITR) could reached 27.47 bits/min. This study offers new ideas for the design of hybrid BCI paradigm based on imperceptible stimulation.

This review aims to analyze the current applications of open surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and robotic surgery in the treatment of colorectal cancer, particularly in elderly patients. It compares the differences among these three surgical methods in terms of surgical indicators, as well as short-term and long-term outcomes.Studies have shown that laparoscopic surgery has become the standard treatment for colorectal cancer, resulting in fewer postoperative complications and faster recovery times. While robotic surgery offers advantages in surgical precision and maneuverability, it is associated with longer surgical times and higher costs. For elderly patients, laparoscopic surgery has demonstrated fewer surgical complications and shorter hospital stays, with no significant difference in long-term survival rates compared to open surgery. However, there is limited research on the application of robotic surgery in elderly patients.Future studies should involve larger-scale, multi-centre randomized controlled trials to provide higher-level evidence and scientific guidance for the individualized treatment of elderly colorectal cancer patients.

Objective:To observe the effects of moxibustion at Shenshu(BL23)and Zusanli(ST36)on Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)-myeloid differentiation factor 88(Myd88)signaling pathway-mediated inflammatory factors in the synovial tissue of ankle joints of rats with rheumatoid arthritis(RA),and to explore the molecular and biological mechanisms underlying the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Methods:A total of 24 male Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were randomly divided into a normal group,a model group, and a moxibustion group, with 8 rats in each group. The RA model was established with exposure to wind, cold, and damp environmental factors, along with Freund's complete adjuvant. After three days of modeling, mild moxibustion was applied to bilateral Shenshu(BL23)and Zusanli(ST36)in the moxibustion group using moxa sticks of 0.9 cm in diameter for 30 min each time, once a day for 14 d.Structural changes in the synovial tissue and cells were then observed using hematoxylin-eosin staining and transmission electron microscopy, while immunohistochemistry analysis was used to detect tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α,interleukin(IL)-17,IL-1β,and IL-6 levels. Moreover, the protein expression levels of Myd88,TLR4,and transient potential receptor vanilloid type 1(TRPV1)in the synovial tissue were detected using Western blotting, while their mRNA expression levels were detected using reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. Finally, the levels of IL-1β,IL-2,IL-6,IL-17A,and TNF-α in rat serum were detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results:Compared to the normal group, the model group exhibited notable pathological synovial tissue damage, along with significantly higher IL-1β,IL-6,and TNF-α levels(P<0.01)and a slightly higher IL-17 content(P>0.05).Furthermore,the Myd88,TLR4,and TRPV1 protein and mRNA expression levels and serum IL-1β,IL-2,IL-6,IL-17A,and TNF-α levels were all significantly higher in the model group than in the normal group(P<0.01).Compared to the model group, the moxibustion group exhibited a lower degree of synovial tissue pathological damage, along with significantly lower IL-1β,IL-6,and TNF-α levels(P<0.05 or P<0.01)and a lower IL-17 content without statistical significance(P>0.05).Moreover,the Myd88,TLR4,and TRPV1 protein and mRNA expression levels, and serum IL-1β,IL-2,IL-6,IL-17A,and TNF-α levels were all significantly lower in the moxibustion group than in the model group(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Conclusion:Mild moxibustion at Shenshu(BL23)and Zusanli(ST36)can effectively inhibit TLR4-MyD88 signaling pathway-mediated inflammatory factor expression in the synovial tissue of ankle joints of RA rats.Furthermore, the effect of moxibustion on synovial tissue inflammation in RA rats may be attributed to TRPV1 channel activation.
