Objective To investigate the influence of a disintegrin and metalloproteinase 12(ADAM12),S100 calcium binding protein A8(S100A8),and serum tumor markers on chemotherapy outcomes and prognosis in patients with triple-negative breast cancer.Methods A totla of 300 patients with breast cancer admitted between January 2020 and January 2021 were included.Based on pathological immunohistochemistry findings,the patients were divided into a triple-negative group(n=98,triple-negative breast cancer)and a non-triple-negative group(n=202,non-triple-negative breast cancer).Serum tumor markers(carcinoembryonic antigen[CEA]and carbohydrate antigen 125[CA125]),the levels of ADAM12 and S100A8,and tissue protein expression levels of ADAM12 and S100A8 were compared between the two groups.The relationship between the protein levels of ADAM12 and S100A8 in the cancer tissues and the clinicopathological characteristics of the triple-negative group was analyzed.Differences in the protein levels of ADAM12 and S100A8 between patients with different chemotherapy outcomes(remission vs.non-remission)and different follow-up outcomes(survival vs.death)were analyzed.Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was used to examine the relationship between the protein levels of ADAM12 and S100A8 in cancer tissues and the prognosis.Results The protein expression levels of ADAM12 and S100A8 in cancer tissues from the triple-negative group were higher than those in the non-triple-negative group(P＜0.05).The protein expression levels of ADAM12 and S100A8 in cancer tissues were correlated with tumor diameter,histological grading,axillary lymph node metastasis,TNM staging,and differentiation degree in the triple-negative group(P＜0.05).The levels of CEA,CA125,ADAM12,and S100A8,as well as the protein expression levels of ADAM12 and S100A8 in cancer tissues in the non-remission group,were higher than those in the remission group(P＜0.05).Similarly,these markers were also significantly elevated in the death group compared to those in the survival group(P＜0.05).After 3 years of follow-up,the overall survival(OS)of patients with low ADAM12 expression was 36.0(8.0,36.0)months,while that of patients with high ADAM12 expression was 32.5(4.0,36.0)months,showing a statistically significant difference(log rank x2=12.913,P＜0.001).The OS of patients with low S100A8 expression was 36.0(7.0,36.0)months,while that of the high-expression group was 31.0(4.9,36.0)months,also showing a statistically significant difference(log rank x2=24.151,P＜0.001).Conclusion ADAM12 and S100A8 protein expression levels in triple-negative breast cancer tissues are higher than those in non-triple-negative breast cancer tissues.Serum tumor markers and ADAM12 and S100A8 protein expression levels(in both serum and tumor tissues)affect the chemotherapy outcomes and prognosis of triple-negative breast cancer patients,among which the expression levels of ADAM12 and S100A8 proteins in tumor tissues can serve as predictors of patient prognosis.

ObjectiveTo explore the clinical efficacy of Gouteng prescription in treating the patients with primary hypertension with anxiety disorder due to yang hyperactivity and heat toxin and the impact of the formula on the balance of inflammatory cytokines. MethodA total of 98 patients diagnosed with primary hypertension and anxiety disorder were randomized into control and observation groups. On the basis of conventional western medicine treatment for hypertension， the control group （47 patients） was treated with Shugan Jieyu capsules for 8 weeks， while the treatment group （51 patients） with Gouteng prescription for 8 weeks. The two groups were compared in terms of the blood pressure level， 24-hour blood pressure variability， Hamilton anxiety scale （HAMA） score， Pittsburgh sleep quality index （PSQI） score， quality of life （SF-36 scale） score， traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） syndrome score and efficacy， incidence of adverse reactions， and the levels of interleukin （IL）-1β， IL-6， IL-10， and IL-4 in the serum of peripheral blood. ResultThe final trial was completed with 95 patients， including 46 in the control group and 49 in the observation group. The treatment in both groups lowered the blood pressure and blood pressure variability （P<0.05， P<0.01）. The observation group outperformed the control group in recovering the systolic blood pressure （SBP）， 24-hour mean systolic blood pressure （24 h SBP）， 24-hour systolic blood pressure variability （24 h SBPV）， and 24-hour diastolic blood pressure variability （24 h DBPV） （P<0.05）. After treatment， the HAMA and PSQI scores in both groups decreased （P<0.05， P<0.01）， and the observation group had lower HAMA and PSQI scores than the control group （P<0.05）. Compared with those before treatment， the SF-36 scores in both groups increased （P<0.05， P<0.01）. After treatment， the observation group had higher scores of physiological function （PF）， bodily pain （BP）， social function （SF）， role-emotional （RE）， and mental health （MH） indicators than the control group （P<0.05）. After treatment， the TCM syndrome scores in both groups decreased （P<0.05， P<0.01）， and the observation group had lower score than the control group （P<0.05）. The total response rate regarding TCM syndrome in the observation group was 85.71% （42/49）， which was higher than that （63.04%， 29/46） in the control group （χ²=6.621， P<0.05）. The treatment in both groups lowered the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines （IL-1β， IL-6） and elevated the levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines （IL-10， IL-4） （P<0.05， P<0.01）， and the changes were more obvious in the observation group than in the control group （P<0.05）. There were no adverse events during the research process. ConclusionGouteng prescription can recover the blood pressure level， reduce blood pressure variability， suppress anxiety state， improve sleep and quality of life， decrease TCM syndrome score， increase total response rate， lower serum IL-1β and IL-6 levels， and elevate serum IL-10 and IL-4 levels in the patients with primary hypertension complicated with anxiety disorder due to yang hyperactivity and heat toxin. It may exert the effects by regulating the balance of pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines.

Osimertinib, the third generation of epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI), has demonstrated notable clinical benefit in the targeted therapy for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, the development of drug resistance is an inevitable challenge. In order to tackle this issue, ongoing efforts are being made to develop new generations of targeted drugs and treatment strategies, some of which are already undergoing clinical trials. This article aims to review the current research on the mechanisms of osimertinib resistance and outline the advancements made in post-drug resistance treatment strategies.

Cell epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation is one of the causes of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The emergence of targeted drugs for EGFR gene mutation provides a new direction for NSCLC treatment. The common EGFR-targeted drugs like the first-generation gefitinib and erlotinib, the second-generation afatinib and the third-generation osimertinib have shown their good efficacies in a number of large international clinical trials. EGFR gene mutation in Chinese NSCLC patients is different from that in European and American NSCLC patients. This paper briefly reviews the characteristics of EGFR gene mutation and the current status and progress of EGFR-targeted drugs in Chinese NSCLC patients to investigate the mutation characteristics of EGFR in Chinese NSCLC patients and the response as well as prognosis of Chinese patients to EGFR-TKI therapy.

P1B-ATPases are a group of proteins that can transport heavy metal ions across membranes by hydrolyzing ATP and they are a subclass of the P-type ATPase family. It was found that P1B-ATPases are mainly responsible for the active transport of heavy metal ions in plants and play an important role in the regulation of heavy metal homeostasis in plants. In this paper, we dissusses the mechanism of P1B-ATPases from the structure and classification of P1B-ATPases, and review the current research progress in the function of P1B-ATPases, in order to provide reference for future research and application of P1B-ATPases in improving crop quality and ecological environment management.

Professor, who studied from professor, is a famous acupuncturist in Quanzhou of Southern Fujian. The publications authored by professorwere collected in this study to summarize his academic characteristics of acupuncture and moxibustion. The result indicated he highly valued the regulation of, and established the theory of "developingto nourish", which proposes to developto achieve the effect of culturing; he summarized eight methods to regulate the governor vessel and conception vessel, which can condition the body'sand; he paid attention to moxibustion therapy and its dosage, and made the best of direct moxibustion. In addition, he focused on meridian theory with effective application of meridian syndrome differentiation; in clinical treatment, he regulated the hand-meridian to treat diseases by nourishing, generatingand regulating.

Based on the historical documents regarding professor, his educational philosophy of acupuncture and moxibustion was summarized. As a result, the following characteristics were found. He focused on the education of acupuncture and moxibustion, which combined the classroom teaching with apprentice teaching; he compiled teaching materials and committed himself to education reform; he started the first acupuncture undergraduate majors in Fujian province; he valued the academic inheritance and practice of acupuncture; he authored publications and proposed arguments to inherit experience. In addition, he valued medical ethics and focused on patients.

Objective To explore the influence on anti-inflammatory efficacy and bitter cold properties of Coptis processed by Evodia juice. Methods Auricle swelling model induced by croton oil in mice was used in the anti-inflammatory efficacy experiment. The mice were assigned randomly into distilled control group, dexamethasone group, crude drug group, 3 processed drug groups that Euodia juice which plant origin was Euodia rutaecarpa (Juss.) var. bodinaieri (Dode) Huang (SMYHL), Evodia rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth and Euodia rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth var. officinalis (Dode) Huang, respectively. The crude drug group and the 3 processed drugs groups were orally administrated one time and the dosages were all 6 g/kg. The control group was orallly administrated the same volume water. Dexamethasone group was intraperitoneally injected dexamethasone 30 g/kg. The swelling degree of each group was observed. In the bitter cold properties experiment, rats were assigned randomly into control group, crude drug group and 3 processed drug groups. The crude drug group and the 3 processed drug groups were orally administrated for 14 days and the dosages were all 3 g/kg. The control group was orally administrated the same volume water. The body weight, capacity for eating and drinking, body temperature, heart rate and blood viscosity of rats were measured. Meanwhile, TSH, IL-2, IL-8 in serum and plasma were determined by radioimmunoassay. Results The degree of mouse auricle swelling was reduced by the crude and processed drugs. Fourteen days after medication, the weight, capacity of eating and drinking of rats were declined to different degrees in crude drug group and in processed drugs group as compared with control group. The blood viscosity was increased and IL-2 was decreased in SMYHL group as compared with control group (P<0.05). TSH was decreased in crude drug group as compared with control group (P<0.05). Conclusion There is no obvious change in anti-inflammatory function of Coptis before and after processed. The cold properties of Coptis can be reduced after processed by Evodia Juice.
