Cemental tear is a rare and indetectable condition unless obvious clinical signs present with the involvement of surrounding periodontal and periapical tissues. Due to its clinical manifestations similar to common dental issues, such as vertical root fracture, primary endodontic diseases, and periodontal diseases, as well as the low awareness of cemental tear for clinicians, misdiagnosis often occurs. The critical principle for cemental tear treatment is to remove torn fragments, and overlooking fragments leads to futile therapy, which could deteriorate the conditions of the affected teeth. Therefore, accurate diagnosis and subsequent appropriate interventions are vital for managing cemental tear. Novel diagnostic tools, including cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), microscopes, and enamel matrix derivatives, have improved early detection and management, enhancing tooth retention. The implementation of standardized diagnostic criteria and treatment protocols, combined with improved clinical awareness among dental professionals, serves to mitigate risks of diagnostic errors and suboptimal therapeutic interventions. This expert consensus reviewed the epidemiology, pathogenesis, potential predisposing factors, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of cemental tear, aiming to provide a clinical guideline and facilitate clinicians to have a better understanding of cemental tear.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of sodium hyaluronate gel in preventing adhesion after prophylactic enterostomy.Methods:One hundred and twenty four patients from 6 hospitals were enrolled in this prospective multi-center randomized controlled trial. Patients were randomized into the study group ( n=59) or the control group ( n=65).All patients underwent prophylactic enterostomy. Patients of study group received odium hyaluronate gel for adhesion-prevention,while those in control group did not receive any adhesion-prevention treatment. The incidence of moderate to severe adhesion around the incision in the stoma area were evalutated during stoma reduction surgery. Results:The incidence of moderate to severe adhesion around the incision in the stoma area was 6.3% in the study group, the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05) compared to that of the control group (32.6%). Conclusion:Sodium hyaluronate gel can safely and effectively reduce the incidence of moderate and severe adhesions after abdominal surgery.

The principle of sphincter-preserving surgery is to preserve the anal sphincter function under the premise of radical resection. Due to low position of rectal tumor, conventional laparoscopic surgery has difficulties in operating in the deep and narrow pelvis, which may lead to inaccurate tissue dissociation, imprecise positioning of tumor edge, excessive stretch of the anal sphincter complex, and excessive removal of distal rectal mucosa. Moreover, pain from abdominal auxiliary incision has an unavoidable side effect for postoperative recovery. With the help of the Liu's transanal microsurgery system, precision functional sphincter-preserving surgery (PPS) can be successfully performed. PPS tries to preserve left colonic artery and pelvic autonomic nerve in the transabdominal operation. In the part of transanal surgery, measurement, localization and resection of the lower edge of the tumor are conducted under a clear and open visual field with the transparent screw anal dilator. After the rectum is cut off, the specimen is taken out through the anus to avoid abdominal incision. Inserting the intestinal supporter to support the bowel stump, full thickness of bowel stump is then sutured with anal canal by vertical mattress suture. Special transanal tube is placed afterwards without routine prophylactic stoma. PPS can achieve precise tumor resection and sphincter preservation simultaneously.

Objective:To study the effect of interference TIPE3 on the colon cancer cell growth by transfecting SW480 colon cancer cells with the TIPE3 interference plasmid were detected.Methods:Transfecting the constructed TIPE3-shRNA-pSIREN-RetroQ plasmid to SW480 cells.To determine the highest interference efficiency plasmid ,the mRNA and protein levels of recombined plasmid were detected by RT-PCR and Western blot separately and tested the cell proliferation with CCK 8.Meanwhile,apoptosis rate of SW480 cells was determined by flow cytometry assay with AnnexinV-FITC/PI.To further determined the effects of recombined plasmid on cell development ,the level of protein involved in proliferation and apoptosis were detected by Western blot .Results:The most effecient in-terference plasmids were successfully constructed.We found that the cell survival rate decreased when interference TIPE 3 gene express-ing in colorectal cancer cells .Flow cytometry indicated that interefering the expression of TIPE 3 would increase the sensitivity of SW 480 cell to apoptosis induced by aDR5ScFv.The results of Western blot showed that low expression of TIPE 3 would activate caspase3 and downregulate the expression of p-AKT,p-PDK1 and PCNA.Conclusion:Interference TIPE3 could promote apoptosis and inhibit prolif-eration in SW480 colon cancer cells .

Objective·To investigate and analyze periodontal health knowledge and behaviors in medical students and the relationship of these knowledge and behaviors with periodontal health status, and to determine the periodontal health level of this population. Methods·A total of 602 medical students were included in this cross-sectional epidemiological study. The questionnaire covered sociodemographic information, periodontal health-related behaviors and knowledge, experience about themselves, and periodontal health of parents, etc. Meanwhile, periodontal health indices of index teeth were examined, including probing depth (PD), clinical attachment loss (CAL), and bleeding on probing (BOP), etc. Results·Of 570 subjects aged 16-26 who completed the survey, 79.82% never used dental floss, and 78.25% never underwent periodontal debridement. 50.25% of the index teeth had BOP, and only 0.70% of the subjects had no BOP. 81.05% of the subjects had some degree of periodontal attachment loss. Male students were more susceptible to periodontitis (P=0.027) and gingivitis (P=0.012) than female students. Conclusion·No new risk factors affecting the periodontal health are identified. Regular periodontal cleaning and protection are important for young people to prevent periodontitis.

Objective: To study the therapy of cordyceps-astragalus-salvia miltiorrhiza in treating acute lung injury and pulmonary interstitial fibrosis induced by paraquat poisoning. Methods: All 120 adult Wister male rats were randomly assigned to three groups, the paraquat poisoning group (rats were intragastric administration paraquat 50 mg/kg body weight once at the beginning) , the cordyceps-astragalus-salvia miltiorrhiza therapy group (rats were given cordyceps-astragalus-salvia miltiorrhiza 90 mg/kg body weight intragastric administration half an hour after paraquat was given, then the same dose was given once a day) ; control group (rats were intragastric administration with physiological saline) . At 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th day rats were sacrificed postanesthetic respectively after paraquat exposure, sample of lung tissue, bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) , and venous blood were collected. GSH, SOD, TNF-α, TGF-β1, and HYP in plasma, bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) , and the lung homogenates were determined. Optical microscope was performed to examine pathological changes in lung. Results: Each experimental time point paraquat group and the treatment group rats serum SOD content significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05) . Each experimental time point the treatment group rats serum SOD levels increased significantly than that of paraquat group (P<0.05) . Each experimental time point paraquat group rats serum GSH content significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05) . Treatment group rats 7 days time GSH content significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05) . Treatment group 21 days, 28 days GSH content was increased significantly than that of the paraquat group (P<0.05) . Each experimental time point paraquat group rats alveolar lavage SOD content was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05) . Treatment group 7 days, 14 days time SOD content was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05) , Treatment group 21 days, 28 days SOD content was increased significantly than that of the paraquat group (P<0.05) . Each experimental time point paraquat group and the treatment group rats alveolar lavage GSH content significantly were lower than that of the control group (P<0.05) . Treatment group days 14 and 21 days, 28 days GSH content was increased significantly than that of the paraquat group (P<0.05) . Each experimental time point paraquat group rats alveolar lavage TNF α levels was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05) . Treatment group 7 days, 14 days the rat alveolar lavage TNF α levels was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05) . Treatment group 21 days, 28 days TNF α content significantly was decreased than that of paraquat group (P<0.05) . Paraquat group days 14 and 21 days, 28 days HYP content was significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05) . Treatment group 21 days HYP content was significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05) . Treatment group 28 days time HYP content in lung tissue of rats was significantly decreased than that of the paraquat group (P<0.05) . Each experimental time point paraquat group rat lung tissue (tissue homogenate) TGF-β1 content was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) . Under optical microscope, the tissue damage of lung was aggravated, and reduced after cordyceps-astragalus-salvia miltiorrhiza was administrated. Conclusion Cordyceps-astragalus-salvia miltiorrhiza can reduce inflammation factor releasing, and relieve lung injury. It has therapeutic effect on lung injury induced by paraquat poisoning.

Objective: To investigate an accident of occupational acute hydrogen sulfide poisoning, and to analyze related clinical data. Methods: An investigation was performed for an accident of occupational acute hydrogen sulfide poisoning in a place in Shandong, China, in July 2016, and related clinical data were summarized. Results: This was a typical accident of occupational acute hydrogen sulfide poisoning, and a lack of occupational protection and illegal operation were the major causes of this accident. Of all five patients, four experienced coma, toxic encephalopathy, and respiratory failure and were cured at last, and one had cortical syndrome after long-term treatment and died of pulmonary infection seven months later. Conclusions In case of occupational acute hydrogen sulfide poisoning, rescuers should help the persons who are poisoned reasonably and meanwhile ensure their own safety.

Objective:To construct and screen the high efficiency interference plasmid of TFAIP8-shRNA-pSIREN-RetroQ.Methods:Selected and synthesized three Target Sequence of TNFAIP8 shRNA1,TNFAIP8 shRNA2,TNFAIP8 shRNA3,and construct the TNFAIP8 interference plasmid.Transfection TNFAIP8-shRNA-pSIREN-RetroQ interference plasmid to A549 cells.Filter out the highest interference efficiency plasmid by detecting the mRNA and protein levels using RT-PCR and Western blot methods.Results:We successfully design and built three TNFAIP8-shRNA-pSIREN-RetroQ interference plasmids,and screen out the highest efficiency interference plasmid.Conclusion: Three interference plasmids targeting the TNFAIP8 gene have been constructed successfully and provide a useful tool for studying the function of TNFAIP8.

Objective To evaluate complete mesocolic excision in laparoscopy-assisted right hemicolon carcinoma radical resection. Methods Laparoscopy-assisted right hemicolon carcinoma radical resection with complete right-side mesocolic excision was performed in 36 cases between June 2010 and July 2011 at Zhongshan Hospital,Xiamen University. Results The operations were completed successfully without conversion to open surgery.The mean operative time was (134 ±22) min.The blood loss was (95 ±53 ) ml.The median number of total lymph nodes removed was 15.7.The average time for passage of flatus was (3.1 ± 1.2) d.The postoperative complications were observed in 6 of 36 cases (17％) including lymphatic fistulas in 4 patients,pulmonary infection in 1 patient and postoperative bleeding in 1 case.Conclusions Laparoscopy-assisted complete right-side mesocohc excision can be successfully performed for right hemicolon carcinoma,and the lymphoid tissue could be eliminated maximally.The long-term results need further evaluation.
