Objective:To explore the interest of medical students in innovation and entrepreneurship education,providing a reference for optimizing the innovation and entrepreneurship education system.Methods:A total of 510 students from the first to fifth academic years at a medical school were selected as the study subjects.An anonymous online survey was conducted via Questionnaire Star to assess students'understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship cognition,willingness,and the current status of education,and interest scores across different majors were compared.Results:The survey revealed that 92.35%of medical students expressed interest in innovation and entrepreneurship and 96.08%of medical students recognized its importance for personal career development.About 83.53%of medical students believed it was essential for medical schools to cultivate innovation and entrepreneurship awareness,yet only 50.98%viewed it as a means to develop innovative projects.Regarding the current educational environment,over 95%of students affirmed the school's initiatives,supportive atmosphere,and resource provision.However,only 32.35%had participated in extracurricular innovation and entrepreneurship activities.During the process of innovation and entrepreneurship,87.65%of the students believed that lack of experience was the main obstacle.And 80.59%of the students hope that the school could provide venues and financial support.And 90.19%of the students expected that school-enterprise cooperation could increase practical opportunities.Additionally,professional background significantly influenced students'interest,with dental medicine students scoring markedly higher than those in clinical medicine,medical laboratory technology,and other disciplines(P＜0.05).Conclusions:The surveyed medical students demonstrated a positive attitude toward innovation and entrepreneurship,yet gaps remained in practical application and resource accessibility.The institution should refine curricula,strengthen industry-academia collaboration,and develop tailored programs based on disciplinary characteristics to enhance students'innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities.

ObjectiveTo explore the central neuroregulation mechanism of heat-sensitive moxibustion for knee osteoarthritis on pain relief. MethodsThirty patients who did not have experience of Deqi （得气） during heat-sensitive moxibustion treatment were assigned to the "non-Deqi group"， while another 30 patients who had experience of Deqi were assigned to the "Deqi group". Both groups received moxibustion at the left Heding （EX-LE2） acupoint. In the Deqi group， after the patients experienced sensation of Deqi at the acupoint， moxibustion was applied at approximately 3 cm from the skin for 10 minutes； in the non-Deqi group， moxibustion was also applied at approximately 3 cm from the skin for 10 minutes. Both groups received treatment once daily for 10 consecutive days. Knee joint pain was assessed before and after treatment using the visual analog scale （VAS）. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging （rs-fMRI） scans were performed on all participants before the first treatment session and after the final session on the 10th day. The fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations （fALFF） maps before and after treatment were processed using the SPM12 module by MATLAB. ResultsAfter treatment， VAS scores in both groups were significantly lower than before treatment （P＜0.05 or P＜0.01）， with the Deqi group showing significantly lower VAS scores than the non-Deqi group （P＜0.01）. Compared to before treatment， the Deqi group exhibited significant activation in the prefrontal cortex （t = 6.28）， white matter （t = 6.36）， and left temporal lobe （t = 9.33）， while significant inhibition was observed in the occipital lobe （t = -9.86） and right cerebrum （t = -4.54， P＜0.01）； in the non-Deqi group， significant changes after treatment were observed in the left occipital lobe （t = -6.42）， left medial frontal gyrus （t = -4.35）， left middle frontal gyrus （t = -4.74）， right superior frontal gyrus （t = -4.82）， right superior temporal gyrus （t = -6.61）， and right cerebellar posterior lobe （t = -8.64）， all of which were in inhibited states （P＜0.01）. Compared to the non-Deqi group， the Deqi group exhibited significant activation after treatment in the external nucleus （t = 5.77）， white matter （t = 3.58）， right cerebrum （t = 5.84）， left cerebellum （t = 5.35）， and left cerebrum （t = 4.32）， while significant inhibition was observed in the prefrontal cortex （t = -4.16）， occipital lobe （t = -4.87）， and precentral gyrus （t = -4.46， P＜0.01）. ConclusionsHeat-sensitive moxibustion provides better analgesic effects for knee osteoarthritis under state of Deqi. Its central neuroregulation mechanism may be related to the involvement of the frontal lobe， temporal lobe， occipital lobe， external nucleus， white matter， right cerebrum， left cerebellum， left cerebrum， and precentral gyrus in modulating pain signals.

Diagnosis and treatment of refractory hydrocephalus are the keys in reflecting the overall level of diagnosis and treatment of hydrocephalus. However, there is currently no clear definition of refractory hydrocephalus; moreover, treatment of these patients is difficult, with high failure rate. This article focuses on the definition, common causes and classification of refractory hydrocephalus, the treatment strategies of infectious refractory hydrocephalus, the treatment dilemmas of negative pressure or low-pressure hydrocephalus, and treatment future directions of refractory hydrocephalus, in order to attract attention of clinicians to the diagnosis and treatment of refractory hydrocephalus.

Objective To achieve non-invasive and precise prediction of mean arterial pressure(MAP)based on a fully convolutional neural network(FCNN).Methods A high-precision blood pressure data acquisition system compliant with international metrological standards was used in conjunction with the'gold standard'auscultation method to collect blood pressure and pulse waveform data from patients.True MAP values were derived via Gaussian fitting of pulse waveform data,constructing a traceable dataset.The FCNN was applied to this dataset to develop a novel MAP prediction method.Additionally,the predictive accuracy of the FCNN was compared with linear regression and conventional empirical formulas.Results The mean squared errors(MSE)for MAP prediction using the FCNN,linear regression,and empirical formulas were 19.76,21.40,and 30.97,respectively.The coefficients of determination(R2)were 0.90,0.89,and 0.84,and the prediction accuracies were 0.90,0.89,and 0.85,respectively.Conclusions By using systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,age,and arm circumference as input parameters,the FCNN-based MAP prediction method significantly reduces the bias of empirical formulas.This approach not only improves the accuracy of hemodynamic boundary condition acquisition but also contributes to refining the metrological traceability system of non-invasive blood pressure measurement.

Objective:To summarize the experience of diagnosis and treatment of unexplained neonatal intestinal perforation.Methods:A case summary was conducted.Intestinal perforation children who showed unclear etiology during surgical exploration in Fujian Children′s Hospital from October 2017 to October 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.The perforation characteristics, pathological characteristics, etiological analysis and surgical methods were analyzed, and the diagnosis and treatment experience was summarized.Results:There were 21 neonates with unexplained intestinal perforation, including 15 boys and 6 girls.There were more full-term infants (12 cases) than preterm ones (9 cases), and more neonates with normal birth weight (12 cases) than those with low birth weight (9 cases).Intraoperative perforation was detected in the ileum in 13 cases and colon in 8 cases.The perforation diameter ranged between 0.5-2.0 cm.Single perforation was detected in 20 cases, and 1 case had two perforations.All patients underwent full-layer multipoint biopsy and enterostomy.Pathological reports after surgery showed that Hirschsprung disease was confirmed in 10 cases, and Hirschsprung disease allied disorders were diagnosed in 8 cases.The remaining 3 cases had normal ganglion cells, and 2 cases of them had spontaneous intestinal perforation, and 1 case had meconium ileus.After operation, 3 cases gave up treatment, 1 case died, and 17 patients were discharged from hospital at the first stage.Nine cases with Hirschsprung disease received radical surgery at the age of 3-6 months.Six out of 8 patients with Hirschsprung disease allied disorders underwent fistula closure surgery after accurate evaluation.Among the 6 children who received fistula closure surgery, 1 case underwent Santulli enterostomy because of inability to defecate and abdominal distension after surgery.Two of the 6 children undergoing fistula closure surgery were still being followed up.Two cases of spontaneous intestinal perforation and 1 case of meconium ileus underwent fistula closure surgery at the age of 3 months, and postoperative defecation was normal.Conclusions:Intestinal neuronal dysplasia, meconium ileus combined with intestinal perforation and spontaneous intestinal perforation should be considered in unexplained neonatal intestinal perforation.It is recommended that enterostomy and multipoint biopsy should be performed to clarify the pathology before further treatment in children with unexplained intestinal perforation.Santulli enterostomy is a feasible staging operation.

Background::Adamantinomatous craniopharyngioma (ACP) is the commonest pediatric sellar tumor. No effective drug is available and interpatient heterogeneity is prominent. This study aimed to identify distinct molecular subgroups of ACP based on the multi-omics profiles, imaging findings, and histological features, in order to predict the response to anti-inflammatory treatment and immunotherapies.Methods::Totally 142 Chinese cases diagnosed with craniopharyngiomas were profiled, including 119 ACPs and 23 papillary craniopharyngiomas. Whole-exome sequencing (151 tumors, including recurrent ones), RNA sequencing (84 tumors), and DNA methylome profiling (95 tumors) were performed. Consensus clustering and non-negative matrix factorization were used for subgrouping, and Cox regression were utilized for prognostic evaluation, respectively.Results::Three distinct molecular subgroups were identified: WNT, ImA, and ImB. The WNT subgroup showed higher Wnt/β-catenin pathway activity, with a greater number of epithelial cells and more predominantly solid tumors. The ImA and ImB subgroups had activated inflammatory and interferon response pathways, with enhanced immune cell infiltration and more predominantly cystic tumors. Mitogen-activated protein kinases (MEK/MAPK) signaling was activated only in ImA samples, while IL-6 and epithelial-mesenchymal transition biomarkers were highly expressed in the ImB group, mostly consisting of children. The degree of astrogliosis was significantly elevated in the ImA group, with severe finger-like protrusions at the invasive front of the tumor. The molecular subgrouping was an independent prognostic factor, with the WNT group having longer event-free survival than ImB (Cox, P = 0.04). ImA/ImB cases were more likely to respond to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapy than the WNT group ( P <0.01). In the preliminary screening of subtyping markers, CD38 was significantly downregulated in WNT compared with ImA and ImB ( P = 0.01). Conclusions::ACP comprises three molecular subtypes with distinct imaging and histological features. The prognosis of the WNT type is better than that of the ImB group, which is more likely to benefit from the ICB treatment.
