In recent years, research on stem cell therapy in the field of lung transplantation has gradually increased, demonstrating its potential in improving the outcomes of lung transplantation. As a treatment option for end-stage lung diseases, lung transplantation faces challenges such as scarcity of donor organs, postoperative complications and rejection. Stem cells, with their self-renewal and multi-directional differentiation capabilities, have emerged as strong candidates for alternative or adjunctive treatments. Current studies show that embryonic stem cells and umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells play significant roles in lung tissue regeneration and immune regulation. However, stem cell therapy still needs to overcome issues such as the selection of cell sources, low survival rates after transplantation and unclear long-term efficacy in clinical applications. Future research should focus on exploring new stem cell sources, improving transplantation techniques and establishing efficacy evaluation systems.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the safety/efficacy of compound Kushen injection （CKI） by zebrafish model and explore the possible mechanism. MethodsZebrafish were exposed to different concentrations of CKI solution， and the mortality rate after 24 h was calculated. After exposure to sublethal concentration （10） and safe dose concentration （0） for 24 h， the safety of CKI was evaluated based on acridine orange staining for the liver， liver area changes， and liver histological sections. The inflammatory bowel disease （IBD） model of zebrafish was established with 2，4，6-trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid sol （TNBS）. The efficacy of CKI in the treatment of IBD was evaluated by the changes in the area of neutral red staining， the number of neutrophils， the area of alcian blue staining， and the contents of tight junction protein （Occludin）， zonula occludens-1 （ZO-1）， tumor necrosis factor（TNF）-α， and prostaglandin E₂（PGE₂） in the intestine of zebrafish. The mechanism of CKI in the treatment of IBD was predicted by network pharmacology and verified by real-time polymerase chain reaction（Real-time PCR）. ResultsIn the safety evaluation， compared with the blank group， the sublethal concentration of CKI could cause liver cell apoptosis， liver area reduction， loose and disordered arrangement of liver cell structure， obvious vacuolation， and other pathological characteristics of zebrafish， while these indicators showed no significant changes under safe dose conditions. In the effectiveness evaluation， compared with the model group， the safe dose of CKI could increase the neutral red staining area of the intestine in a dose-dependent manner and improve the intestinal phagocytosis function. It could reduce the accumulation of intestinal neutrophils， increase the alcian blue staining area， enhance intestinal goblet cell secretion， improve the contents of Occludin and ZO-1， and decrease the contents of TNF-α and PGE₂. Network pharmacology analysis identified 288 potential targets for CKI treatment of IBD. The top five targets obtained by protein-protein interaction （PPI） network analysis were epidermal growth factor receptor A（EGFRA）， protein kinase B1（Akt1）， heat shock protein 90（HSP90AA1）， homologous oncogene of avian sarcoma virus（SRC）， and protooncogene （JUN）. Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes（KEGG） results showed that CKI may be related to the Wnt signaling pathway and cholinergic synaptic pathway in the treatment of IBD， and Real-time PCR results verified the above pathways. ConclusionExcessive use of CKI can induce obvious liver injury in zebrafish， while the rational use of CKI does not cause obvious toxic reactions and can achieve a therapeutic effect on IBD by regulating the Wnt pathway.

Intraoperative cell salvage (IOCS) has been widely applied as an important blood conservation measure in surgical operations. However, there is currently a lack of clinical practice guidelines for the implementation of IOCS in patients with malignant tumors. This report aims to provide clinicians with recommendations on the use of IOCS in patients with malignant tumors based on the review and assessment of the existed evidence. Data were derived from databases such as PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library and Wanfang. The guideline development team formulated recommendations based on the quality of evidence, balance of benefits and harms, patient preferences, and health economic assessments. This study constructed seven major clinical questions. The main conclusions of this guideline are as follows: 1) Compared with no perioperative allogeneic blood transfusion (NPABT), perioperative allogeneic blood transfusion (PABT) leads to a more unfavorable prognosis in cancer patients (Recommended); 2) Compared with the transfusion of allogeneic blood or no transfusion, IOCS does not lead to a more unfavorable prognosis in cancer patients (Recommended); 3) The implementation of IOCS in cancer patients is economically feasible (Recommended); 4) Leukocyte depletion filters (LDF) should be used when implementing IOCS in cancer patients (Strongly Recommended); 5) Irradiation treatment of autologous blood to be reinfused can be used when implementing IOCS in cancer patients (Recommended); 6) A careful assessment of the condition of cancer patients (meeting indications and excluding contraindications) should be conducted before implementing IOCS (Strongly Recommended); 7) Informed consent from cancer patients should be obtained when implementing IOCS, with a thorough pre-assessment of the patient's condition and the likelihood of blood loss, adherence to standardized internally audited management procedures, meeting corresponding conditions, and obtaining corresponding qualifications (Recommended). In brief, current evidence indicates that IOCS can be implemented for some malignant tumor patients who need allogeneic blood transfusion after physician full evaluation, and LDF or irradiation should be used during the implementation process.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical efficacy of Huayu Tongluo Formula （化瘀通络方， HTF） in patients with mid-stage diabetic kidney disease of blood stasis syndrome and explore its potential mechanisms. MethodsA multi-center， randomized， double-blind， placebo-controlled clinical trial was conducted. Ninety patients of mid-stage diabetic kidney disease of blood stasis syndrome were divided into a control group of 46 cases and a treatment group of 44 cases. Both groups received conventional western medicine treatment， the treatment group additionally taking HTF， while the control group taking a placebo of the formula. The treatment was administered once daily for 24 weeks. The primary outcomes included 24-hour urine total protein （24 h-UTP）， serum albumin （Alb）， glycated hemoglobin （HbA1c）， and serum creatinine （Scr）.The secondary outcomes included changes in levels of endothelin-1 （ET-1）， nitric oxide （NO）， vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF）， and traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） syndrome scores before and after treatment. Clinical efficacy was evaluated based on TCM syndrome scores and overall disease outcomes. Adverse reactions and endpoint events were recorded. ResultsIn the treatment group after treatment， 24 h-UTP， ET-1， and VEGF levels significantly decreased （P＜0.05）， Alb and NO levels significantly increased （P＜0.05）； while the TCM syndrome scores for edema， lumbar pain， numbness of limbs， dark purple lips， dark purple tongue or purpura， and thin， rough pulse all significantly decreased （P＜0.05）. In the control group， no significant changes were observed in any of the indicators after treatment （P＞0.05）.Compared with the control group， the treatment group showed significant reductions in 24 h-UTP， ET-1， and VEGF levels， and increases in Alb and NO levels （P＜0.05）. The TCM syndrome scores for edema， lumbar pain， dark purple tongue or purpura， and thin， rough pulse were all lower in the treatment group than in the control group （P＜0.05）. The total effective rate of TCM syndrome in the treatment group was 59.09% （26/44）， and the overall clinical effective rate was 45.45% （20/44）. In the control group， these rates were 15.22% （7/46） and 8.7% （4/46）， respectively， with the treatment group showing significantly better outcomes （P＜0.05）. A total of 7 adverse events occurred across both groups， with no significant difference （P＞0.05）. No endpoint events occurred during the study. ConclusionOn the basis of conventional treatment of Western medicine， HTF can further reduce urinary protein levels and improve clinical symptoms in patients with mid-stage diabetic kidney disease of blood stasis syndrome. The mechanism may be related to its effects on endothelial function.

BACKGROUND:Stand-alone oblique lateral interbody fusion has a high rate of complications of fusion segment sink.Oblique lateral interbody fusion with posterior fixation can provide stable support,but intraoperative position changes and double incisions weaken the advantages of this technique.Oblique lateral interbody fusion combined with lateral plate fixation can achieve one-stage decompression in the same incision,while the lateral internal fixation provides stable support. OBJECTIVE:To analyze the short-term efficacy of oblique lateral interbody fusion combined with lateral plate fixation in the treatment of single-level lumbar degenerative disease. METHODS:The clinical data of 34 patients with single-level lumbar degenerative disease treated with oblique lateral interbody fusion combined with lateral plate fixation were collected from May 2020 to October 2022.Among them,14 were males and 20 were females aged from 41 to 72 years at the mean age of(58.6±9.9)years.There were 11 cases of lumbar spondylolisthesis(Ⅰ°),7 cases of lumbar disc herniation with segmental instability,and 16 cases of lumbar spinal stenosis.Operation time,blood loss,and complications were recorded.Visual analog scale scores of lumbago,radiative pain of both lower limbs,and Oswestry disability index scores were evaluated before surgery,3 months after surgery,and the last follow-up.Dural sac cross-sectional area,intervertebral height,and intervertebral fusion were measured and observed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)The 34 patients were followed up for 14-36 months,with an average of(21.3±5.2)months.(2)The operation time ranged from 50 to 92 minutes,with an average of(68.5±11.1)minutes.Intraoperative blood loss was 50-170 mL,with an average of(71.6±25.3)mL.(3)Compared with the preoperative results,the visual analog scale scores and Oswestry disability index scores were significantly decreased at 3 months after surgery and at the last follow-up(P<0.001),and the maximum Oswestry disability index scores were improved by nearly 50％.(4)Bone fusion was achieved in all patients during half-year follow-up.The overall complication rate was 21％(7/34),including 1 case of plate displacement,3 cases of cage subsidence,1 case of psoas weakness,and 2 cases of anterior thigh pain.(5)It is concluded that oblique lateral interbody fusion combined with lateral plate fixation for the treatment of lumbar degenerative diseases has the characteristics of less blood loss,short operation time,rapid postoperative recovery,and significant short-term clinical efficacy with the stable support to a certain extent.The long-term curative effect needs further follow-up observation.

Objective To analyze the urban drinking water quality and its influencing factors in Anhui Province from 2014 to 2022, and to provide a scientific basis for water quality improvement and protection. Methods The data were collected, saved and monitored according to the Standard Test Method for Drinking Water (GB/T5750-2006) and evaluated according to the Hygienic Standard for Drinking Water (GB 5749-2006). Results A total of 20 941 samples were collected, and the overall qualified rate was 84.26%. The qualified rate of urban drinking water increased from 76.9% in 2014 to 93.3% in 2022, and the qualified rate of water quality was on the rise (χ²=544.43, P＜0.01). From 2014 to 2022, the qualified rate of water quality in dry season was higher than that in wet season (χ²=35.98, P<0.001), the qualified rate of surface water was higher than that of ground water (χ²=4440.8, P<0.001), and the qualified rate of peripheral tap water was higher than that of factory water (χ²=145.1, P<0.001). Among all kinds of disinfection methods, chlorination disinfection had the highest qualified rate (χ²=1483.8, P<0.001). The qualified rate of water quality increased with the increase of the scale of water plant. Among the inspected indicators, the main unqualified indicators were chlorine dioxide (7.72%), fluoride (7.41%), free residual chlorine (3.90%), and total bacterial count (2.13%). Conclusion The passing rate of urban drinking water quality in Anhui Province is on an upward trend, and the quality of urban drinking water has improved. However, it is still important to pay attention to the problem of excessive microorganism and fluoride in water, and the quality of drinking water varies from place to place.

ObjectiveTo investigate the features and mechanism of action of intestinal flora in patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease （NAFLD） and Helicobacter pylori （HP） infection by comparing the changes in intestinal flora between the healthy population， the patients with HP infection， the patients with NAFLD， and the patients with NAFLD and HP infection. MethodsThis study was conducted among the 19 patients with NAFLD （NAFLD group）， 19 patients with HP infection （HP group）， and 19 patients with NAFLD and HP infection （NAFLD+HP group） who were admitted to The Second Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology from March 1， 2023 to April 30， 2024， and 20 individuals undergoing physical examination were enrolled as control group. Fecal samples were collected， total DNA was extracted for PCR amplification， and 16S rDNA sequencing was performed to compare the features of intestinal flora between the four groups. An analysis of variance was used for comparison of continuous data between multiple groups， and the chi-square test was used for comparison of categorical data between multiple groups. The Mann-Whitney U test or the Kruskal-Wallis H test was used for comparison of the species in intestinal flora. ResultsThe NAFLD+HP group showed a tendency of reduction in flora abundance compared with the other three groups. There was a significant difference in flora distribution between the NAFLD+HP group and the NAFLD group and between the NAFLD group and the control group （P<0.05）. At the phylum level， the top three species in the NAFLD+HP group were Firmicutes （59.94%）， Proteobacteria （17.00%）， and Actinobacteria （14.75%）， with an increase in the proportion of Proteobacteria and a reduction in the proportion of Actinobacteria compared with the other three groups. At the genus level， the top five dominant bacteria in the NAFLD+HP group were Bifidobacterium， Streptococcus， Escherichia-Shigella， Agathobacter， and Ruminococcus gnavus_group. Compared with the NAFLD group， the NAFLD+HP group had increases in the abundance of Streptococcus， Veillonella， and Rothia and reductions in the abundance of Dialister and Ruminococcus toraues_group. Compared with the HP group， the NAFLD+HP group had reductions in the abundance of Collinsella， Subdoligranulum， Catenibacterium， and Porphyromonas and increases in the abundance of Citrobacter and Olsenella （all P<0.05）. ConclusionPatients with NAFLD and HP infection have changed in intestinal flora. These flora may be the intestinal microecological factors for HP infection in promoting the development and progression of NAFLD.

This article aims to compare and analyze the biomechanical differences between wing-shaped titanium plates and traditional titanium plates in fixing acetabular anterior column and posterior hemi-transverse (ACPHT) fracture under multiple working conditions using the finite element method. Firstly, four sets of internal fixation models for acetabular ACPHT fractures were established, and the hip joint stress under standing, sitting, forward extension, and abduction conditions was calculated through analysis software. Then, the stress of screws and titanium plates, as well as the stress and displacement of the fracture end face, were analyzed. Research has found that when using wing-shaped titanium plates to fix acetabular ACPHT fractures, the peak stress of screws decreases under all working conditions, while the peak stress of wing-shaped titanium plates decreases under standing and sitting conditions and increases under forward and outward extension conditions. The relative displacement and mean stress of the fracture end face decrease under all working conditions, but the values are higher under forward and outward extension conditions. Wing-shaped titanium plates can reduce the probability of screw fatigue failure when fixing acetabular ACPHT fractures and can bear greater loads under forward and outward extension conditions, improving the mechanical stability of the pelvis. Moreover, the stress on the fracture end surface is more conducive to stimulating fracture healing and promoting bone tissue growth. However, premature forward and outward extension rehabilitation exercises should not be performed.

Objective To analyze the diagnostic value of serum biomarkers in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis complicated by invasive pulmonary aspergillosis.Methods A retrospective collection of laboratory test results,including blood analysis,liver function,lymphocyte counts,and cytokine levels,from 54 patients diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis and invasive pulmonary aspergillosis admitted to the Third People's Hospital of Kunming between January 2021 and May 2024.Additionally,70 patients with simple pulmonary tuberculosis and 50 healthy individuals were collected as control groups to compare serum biomarker levels across the three groups and analyze relevant factors and diagnostic value for pulmonary tuberculosis patients with invasive pulmonary aspergillosis.Results Among different age groups,the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis with invasive pulmonary aspergillosis was 29 cases(53.7％)in youth,15 cases(27.8％)in middle age,and 10 cases(18.5％)in the elderly.In terms of gender distribution,there were 41 males(75.9％)and 13 females(24.1％).The serum levels of CRP(6.85[2.10,27.0])ng/L,PCT(0.05[0.05,0.15])ng/mL,RBC(4.55±0.65)× 1012/L,Hb(129.13±19.10)g/L,TP(66.23±6.82)g/L,ALB(37.03±4.77)g/L,and CHOL(4.30[3.71,4.91])mmol/L in the invasive pulmonary aspergillosis group showed no significant difference compared to the simple tuberculosis group and healthy control group(P＞0.05).The levels of CD3+T,CD4+T,and CD8+T in the invasive pulmonary aspergillosis group were significantly lower than those in the simple tuberculosis group and healthy control group(P＜0.05).The levels of IL-2,IL-4,IL-5,IL-8,IL-10,IL-12p70,IFN-α,and TNF-α in the invasive pulmonary aspergillosis group were significantly higher than those in the healthy control group(P＜0.05);IL-8,IL-12p70,and IFN-α were also higher compared to the simple tuberculosis group,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).Conclusion The population with pulmonary tuberculosis complicated by invasive pulmonary aspergillosis is predominantly male and younger.The serum indicators of infection severity and nutritional status in these patients are similar to those with simple tuberculosis and lack specificity;however,their immune function is significantly lower than that of simple tuberculosis patients.Multiple cytokines are elevated,particularly IL-8,IL-12p70,and IFN-α,which can aid in the differential diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis infection.

ObjectiveBased on the nuclear factor erythroid 2 related factor 2 （Nrf2）/heme oxygenase-1 （HO-1） signaling pathway， this paper explores the effect of Sinisan （SNS） on liver oxidative stress injury in cholestatic hepatitis rats and its mechanism. MethodThirty 6-week-old male SD rats were randomly divided into a control group， model group， low and high dose groups of SNS （2.5 and 5 g·kg^-1） and ursodeoxycholic acid group （UDCA， 63 mg·kg^-1）， with six rats in each group. Rats were administrated for seven consecutive days. On the 5th day， the control group was given olive oil of 10 mL·kg^-1， and the other groups were given alpha-naphthalene isothiocyanate （ANIT） of 80 mg·kg^-1. The serum biochemical indicator levels of cholestasis and the content of antioxidant factors in rat liver were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA）. Hematoxylin-eosin （HE） staining was used to observe the pathological changes in liver tissue. The relative mRNA and protein expressions of Nrf2， HO-1， and quinone oxidoreductase 1 （NQO1） in liver tissue were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction （Real-time PCR） and Western blot. ResultCompared with the control group， the model group showed a significant increase in the serum biochemical indicator levels of cholestasis and the content of antioxidant factors in liver tissue （P<0.01）. There were obvious pathological changes in the model group such as the disordered arrangement of hepatocytes， obvious congestion and necrosis in the portal area， infiltration of inflammatory cells， and destruction of the interlobular bile duct. The relative mRNA and protein expressions of Nrf2， HO-1， and NQO1 in liver tissue were significantly down-regulated in the model group （P<0.05， P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， the groups of SNS showed a significant decrease in the serum biochemical indicator levels of cholestasis and the content of antioxidant factors in liver tissue （P<0.01）， and the pathological liver injury was obviously improved. The necrotic area was reduced， and the infiltration of inflammatory cells was decreased. In addition， there was a small amount of extravasated blood in the interlobular vein. The relative mRNA and protein expressions of Nrf2， HO-1， and NQO1 in liver tissue were significantly up-regulated （P<0.05， P<0.01）. ConclusionSNS can significantly improve liver injury in cholestatic hepatitis rats， and its mechanism may be related to the inhibition of oxidative stress response mediated by the Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway.
