Medical humanities consistently run through the entire process of medical development and educational reform. However， with the increasingly prominent dominance of evidence-based medicine in clinical practice， the medical humanities have gradually been weakened in both medical education and clinical practice. Narrative medicine， through telling and listening to patients’ stories， enhances healthcare professionals’ empathy， fosters doctor–patient communication， and facilitates a return to the humanistic essence of medical education and clinical practice. By sorting out and reviewing related literature and developmental trends both at home and abroad， this paper pointed out the existing structural problem of an imbalance between technological priority and humanistic care in medical education， focusing on how to achieve an effective integration of medical humanities and narrative medicine in medical education. This paper also systematically analyzed the significance of both medical humanities and narrative medicine in the medical education system and proposed promoting the deep embedding of narrative medicine in medical education from three entry points， namely， curriculum integration， interdisciplinary collaboration， and the construction of teaching evaluation systems. The aim was to provide theoretical support and practical experience for medical education reform， foster the coordinated development of professional competence and humanistic spirit among medical talents， and truly achieve the goal of cultivating well-rounded medical talents.

Objective To investigate the effect of ginsenoside Re on angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang Ⅱ)-induced proliferation,migration,and phenotype transformation of vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs)by regulating the Ras homologous gene family member A(RhoA)/mitogen activated protein kinase(MAPK)pathway.Methods MOVAS cells were divided into control group,Ang Ⅱ group,ginsenoside Re low dose group,ginsenoside Re medium dose group,ginsenoside Re high dose group,andginsenoside Re high dose+RhoA activator(U46619)group.MOVAS cell proliferation was detected by CCK-8.MOVAS cell migration was detected by scratch assay.Immunocytochemistry was used to detect the positive expression of α-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA)and osteopontin(OPN)proteins in MOVAS cells.qRT-PCR was used to detect the mRNA expression of PCNA,MMP-9,and MMP-2 in MOVAS cells.Western blot was used to detect RhoA,phosphorylated extracellular signal regulated kinase 1/2(p-ERK1/2),phosphorylated stress activated protein kinase 1(p-JNK1),and p-P38 protein in MOVAS cells.Results Compared with the control group,the OD450 value,scratch healing rate,OPN protein positive expression,PCNA,MMP-9,MMP-2 mRNA expression,RhoA,p-ERK1/2,p-JNK1,p-P38 protein expression of MOVAS cells in the Ang II group increased,while the positive expression of α-SMA protein decreased significantly(P<0.05).Compared with the Ang Ⅱ group,the OD450 value,scratch healing rate,OPN protein positive expression,PCNA,MMP-9,MMP-2 mRNA expression,and RhoA,p-ERK1/2,p-JNK1,and p-P38 proteins of MOVAS cells in the low,medium,and high dose groups of ginsenoside Re decreased,while the positive expression of α-SMA protein increased.The trend was most significant in the high dose group of ginsenoside Re(P<0.05).Compared with ginsenoside Re high-dose group,OD450 value,scratch healing rate,OPN protein positive expression,PCNA,MMP-9,MMP-2 mRNA expression and RhoA,p-ERK1/2,p-JNK1,p-P38 protein in ginsenoside Re high-dose+U46619 group increased,the positive expression of α-SMA protein decreased significantly(P<0.05).Conclusion Ginsenoside Re may inhibit the proliferation,migration,and phenotype transformation of Ang Ⅱ in MOVAS cells by suppressing the RhoA/MAPK pathway.

Chemotherapy is an important treatment for tumors， but most patients experience varying degrees of chemotherapy- induced myelosuppression. Four properties theory of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） has unique advantages in improving chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression. The monomers from TCM with different properties and flavors， such as cold-natured （e.g. Scutellaria baicalensis， Rhus chinensis）， cool-natured （e.g. Ligustrum lucidum， Ophiopogon japonicus）， warm-natured （e.g. Panax ginseng， Epimedium brevicornu， Curcuma longa， Angelica sinensis）， hot-natured （e.g. Cinnamomum cassia， Aconitum carmichaeli）， and neutral-natured （e. g. donkey-hide gelatin， Lycium barbarum， Rhodiola rosea， fungi）， can exert anti- myelosuppressive effects by reducing damage to hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells， improving the bone marrow hematopoietic microenvironment， inhibiting the oxidative stress response， regulating signaling pathways， so as to ultimately repaire inflammatory damage and improve hematopoietic function， thereby playing an anti-myelosuppressive role.

Depressive disorder is one of the common mental diseases, which seriously affects the daily work and life of patients. In recent years, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatment has shown satisfactory effects in the clinical application of depression. However, depressive disorder involves complex symptoms, including functional impairment in different dimensions such as emotion, cognition, body and behavior, which leads to significant individual differences in the efficacy of TMS intervention. Therefore, with different symptoms as the starting point, this article systematically reviewed the clinical studies of TMS treatment for different symptom groups of depressive disorder, in order to provide scientific reference for individualized treatment of depressive disorder using TMS treatment.

Objective To investigate the current situation of frailty in patients with home peritoneal dialysis and analyze its influencing factors,so as to provide bases for early identification of high-risk groups and targeted clinical intervention.Methods From October to December 2024,205 home-based peritoneal dialysis patients under long-term follow-up at a tertiary A hospital in Zhongshan,Guangdong Province,were selected by convenience sampling.The General Information Questionnaire,Fried Phenotype Scale,Nutritional Risk Screening Tool,Exercise Self-Efficacy Scale,and Social Support Rating Scale were used to investigate the influencing factors of frailty in home-based peritoneal dialysis patients by ordinal logistic regression analysis.Results A total of 201 valid questionnaires were collected.The prevalence of frailty among home-based peritoneal dialysis patients was 24.3％,while 39.3％were in the pre-frailty stage,and 36.3％showed no frailty.0rdinal logistic regression analysis revealed that age,residence location,primary disease,sleep status,serum albumin concentration,and exercise self-efficacy level were influencing factors of frailty in the home peritoneal dialysis patients(P＜0.05).Conclusion The incidence of frailty in patients with home peritoneal dialysis is higher,and patients with advanced age,living in rural areas,other types of primary diseases,insomnia,low serum albumin concentration and low exercise self-efficacy are more likely to develop frailty.Specialist doctors and nurses of peritoneal dialysis should pay attention to the early screening of frailty in patients with peritoneal dialysis at home,and take personalized intervention measures to prevent or delay the occurrence of frailty according to the relevant risk factors.

Objective To investigate the design of cuffed pediatric tracheal tubes and compare the effects of different tracheal intubation depth placement strategies on the position of the tracheal tube tip and cuff of 5 tracheal tube brands.Methods A total of 180 children who were admitted to Tianjin Children's Hospital from October 2020 to December 2021,with endotracheal intubation under general anesthesia,aged 1-6 years,were enrolled.The length of the subglottic airway was measured by electronic bronchoscopy.Dimensional data from 5 cuffed pediatric tracheal tube brands were recorded,including the length of the tracheal tube cuff,the distance from the tip of the tracheal tube to the upper edge of the cuff,and the tip of the tracheal tube to the lower edge of the tube glottis marker line the distance.Calculation of the required cuffed endotracheal tube internal diameter(ID)for 180 pediatric patients was performed based on the Motoyama formula,the positions of tracheal tube tip and upper cuff border were calculated for each of the 180 tracheas using depth mark to based tracheal tube placement,placement of the tracheal tube tip at 2 cm above the carina,and mid-tracheal tube placement.Results There were differences in the dimensional data of the 5 cuffed pediatric tracheal tube brands.Depth mark-based tracheal tube placement resulted in the incidence rate of tube tip to carina placement less than 1 cm was 3.9%-67.8%,and the highest incidence of bronchial intubation is Ruijing,up to 17.8%.The tracheal tube tip was placed 2 cm above the carina,and no improper placement of the tracheal tube cuff and tube tip was found in all brands.Mid-tracheal tube placement led to 100%subglottic and supraglottic tracheal tube cuff positions,except Weili.Conclusions There are differences in design between different brands of cuffed pediatric tracheal tube,and some of the design deficiencies may lead to the risk of airway complications.The method used to guide the insertion depth and the brand of cuffed tracheal tubes can affect the tracheal tube position.Placement of the tracheal tube tip at 2 cm above the carina allowed safe tracheal tube placement in children aged 1-6 years.

Major depressive disorder (MDD) is one of the most disabling illnesses, and approximately one-third of patients with MDD fail to show significant improvement after multiple courses of antidepressants, eventually progressing to treatment-resistant depression (TRD), a more severe and complex subtype that is difficult to treat. Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a type of mental disorder characterized by repetitive obsessions and/or compulsive behaviors, and the high rate of comorbidity with other psychiatric disorders has been identified as a hallmark feature of OCD. In particular, OCD frequently co-occurs with MDD, and when these two conditions overlap, the resulting comorbidity is characterized by more severe symptoms and an increased risk of suicide. Magnetic seizure therapy (MST) is a novel, non-invasive neuromodulation technique that is safe and effective in the treatment of TRD with less cognitive impairment. This paper describes a case of significant symptom improvement following 100 Hz accelerated MST treatment in a patient with comorbid TRD and OCD. As a novel treatment option, MST requires further large-scale clinical trials to explore in the future.
