Objective: To understand the prevalence of elevated blood pressure and its association with dietary patterns in children and adolescents in China, providing evidence for developing dietary intervention of hypertension in children and adolescents. Methods: Data were derived from the China Children s Nutrition and Health System Survey and Application Project(2019-2021). A stratified cluster random sampling method was used to include 7 933 participants from 28 survey sites in seven major regions of Northeast, North, Northwest, East, Central, South and Southwest China. Multivariate Logistic regression models were used to analyze associations between demographic characteristics, nutritional status and elevated blood pressure. Exploratory factor analysis identified dietary patterns, which were divided into three quartile groups (T3, T2, T1) based on factor scores (compliance for dietary pattern) from high to low, and multivariate Logistic regression model assessed the correlation between elevated blood pressure and dietary patterns. Results: The prevalence of elevated blood pressure was 15.4% among Chinese children aged 7-17 years. Significant differences were observed across nutritional status (reference: underweight; normal weight: OR =1.57; overweight: OR = 2.61 ; obesity: OR =3.85), urban/rural residence (reference: rural; urban: OR =0.86), and paternal education (reference: junior high school and below; bachelor degree or above: OR =0.68) ( P <0.05). The detection rates of high blood pressure in T3 group children and adolescents with four dietary patterns (staple food, animal based food, snacks, vegetables and fruits) were 15.7%, 14.6%, 16.8%, and 15.8%, respectively. After adjusting for residence, paternal education, and nutritional status, the "snack dietary pattern" (mainly candy, sugar sweetened beverages, and processed snacks) showed positive associations with elevated blood pressure in T2 ( OR =1.21) and T3 ( OR =1.19) tertiles ( P <0.05). Conclusions The snack dietary pattern is a related factor for elevated blood pressure in children and adolescents. Restricting unhealthy snack intake may promote cardiovascular health.

Objective To investigate the state of rotator cuff injury in flight crew and to explore the effectiveness of extracorporeal shock wave therapy combined with functional exercise in treating rotator cuff injury.Methods A total of 60 flight crew with rotator cuff injuries in Dalian Rehabilitation Center from June 2022 to June 2023 were enrolled in this study.They were randomly assigned to experimental group(shock wave therapy combined with functional exercise)or the control group(functional exercise).The clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups after 4 weeks of treatment.Results All the research objects were male.There was no significant difference in the general information,such as age,flight duration,or course of the disease between the two groups(P>0.05).The visual analogue scale(VAS)scores were decreased,and Constant-Murley scores(CMS)and range of motion(ROM)were increased in both groups after treatment.The above-mentioned indexes in the experimental group were better than those in the control group(P<0.001).Conclusion The shock wave therapy and functional exercise has a more significant therapeutic effect on rotator cuff injuries than functional exercise alone.

Objective:To design a method to introduce random six-dimensional setup error (6D-SE) into the intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) planning for rectal cancer and evaluate its dosimetric effect.Methods:A total of 21 IMRT plans for patients with rectal cancer were randomly selected as reference plans [2 Gy per fraction for a total of 50 Gy; a 5 mm uniform margin around the clinical target volume (CTV) was taken as the planning target volume (PTV)]. For each fraction of the reference plan, a randomly generated 6D-SE was introduced by adjusting the geometrical parameters of the radiation field, and the dose was recalculated. The overall dose distribution with 6D-SE was obtained by adding up the dose of each fraction. A treatment simulation program that could complete the above workflow was developed using the Varian Eclipse scripting API (ESAPI). 6D-SEs that obey two preset distributions [distribution 1: translational error obey N(0, 4 2), and rotational error obey N(0, 2 2); distribution 2: translational error obey N(0, 2 2), and rotational error obey N(0, 1 2)] were introduced into the reference plans, and the dosimetric effects were assessed. Results:When the reference plans, error distribution 1, and error distribution 2 were applied, the Dmin values of the CTV were (49.4±0.41), (47.56±0.76), and (49.17±0.64) Gy, respectively; the D98% values of the CTV were (50.23±0.07), (49.98±0.10), and (50.27±0.09) Gy, respectively; the D98% values of the primary target area (the kernel part of the target area, excluding the margins) were (50.25±0.08), (50.42±0.13), and (50.33±0.10) Gy, respectively; the D98% values of the marginal area were (50.22±0.10), (49.88±0.11), and (50.26±0.10) Gy, respectively. In addition, compared with the result of the reference plans, the result of errors 1 and 2 showed no significant changes in the mean dose of the bladder and femoral heads ( P>0.05), despite slight decreases in the conformity index of the dose distribution with limited clinical significance. Conclusion:The proposed method and the treatment simulation program developed thereupon can introduce the 6D-SE obeying different distributions into the IMRT plans for rectal cancer on demand and provide overall dosimetric changes.

Objective:To investigate the relationship between the dose of preoperative neoadjuvant radiotherapy and the pathologic complete response (pCR) rate in patients with locally advanced squamous cell esophageal cancer (ESCC).Methods:Clinical data of 116 patients with ESCC who received neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy followed by esophagectomy in our cancer center from July 2017 to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The radiation doses were divided into 2 ranges based on Grays (Gy) received: 40-45 Gy and 45 Gy or more.Results:The overall pCR rate was 38. 8%(45/116). pCR was observed in 35 out of 80(44%) patients treated with 40-45 Gy and 10 of 36(28%) patients treated with 45 Gy or more. The pCR rate did not significantly differ between two groups [(40-45 Gy) vs.( ≥ 45 Gy), P=0.105)]. Conclusions:Preoperative neoadjuvant radiotherapy with a higher dose (≥ 45 Gy) fails to increase the pCR rate in patients with locally advanced ESCC. Prospective randomized trials are required to determine the optimal dose of preoperative adjuvant radiotherapy.

Objective:To evaluate the effect of imatinib on growth impairment in children with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML-CP) in the chronic phase.Methods:From July 2018 to July 2019, questionnaires were distributed to CML children aged <18 years at the time of diagnosis who were receiving imatinib for at least 3 months or to their parents in China. The height-for-age standard deviation score (HtSDS) and the difference of standard deviation integral (△HtSDS) were used to explore the change in height with imatinib therapy.Results:The data of 238 respondents were included; 138 (58.0% ) respondents were men. The median age at the first diagnosis of CML was 11.0 years (range, 1.4-17.9 years) , and 93 (39.0% ) respondents were at the prepuberty stage. At the time of completing the questionnaires, the median age was 15.0 years (range, 2.0-34.0 years) . The median duration of imatinib therapy was 28 months (range, 3-213 months) . Among all the respondents, the mean HtSDS when completing the questionnaires (-0.063±1.361) was significantly lower than that at the time of starting imatinib treatment (0.391±1.244) ( P<0.001) . Total 71.0% respondents showed growth impairment that was more common in those starting imatinib therapy at prepubertal age than in those starting at pubertal age. Multivariate analysis showed that younger at the start of imatinib therapy ( P<0.001) and longer duration of imatinib therapy ( P<0.001) were significantly associated with severe growth impairment on imatinib therapy. Conclusions:Imatinib induced growth impairment in children with CML-CP. Younger the age of initiation and longer the duration of imatinib therapy, more obvious the effect of imatinib on growth impairment.

Objective The evaluation management of scientific research projects is the core work content of scientific research management institutions at all levels.The primary causes of bias in project evaluation are the acquaintance social network relationship and the unit-based unitism,especially in the case of small academic circles.The purpose of this essay is to study how to circumvent this problem,to select projects objectively and fairly,and to benefit the evaluation and management of scientific research projects at all levels.Methods Including information construction,expert database construction,expert rotation system,expert avoidance system,supervision and examination system,peer-expert review and strengthen the expert project evaluation.For the first time,we proposed a double-blind,random,centralized,and group-based independent evaluation system.Results This method has a positiveeffect on view.Conclusions In the case where the relative or absolute numberof experts in a single field is small,implementing a series of normative systems and measures through organizational management can avoid interference factors that affect the project evaluation effectively and achieve more scientific and fair results.

Objective Little research has been done on how Cx37 changes the current density of mononuclear macrophage in atherosclerosis.The purpose of this study was to detect the effects of Cx37 on the current density of mononuclear macrophage in atherosclerosis.Methods A total of 30 Wistar mice were randomly divided into Cx37+ group and Cx37-group equally.The atherosclerosis model was constructed by a high-fat diet.According to different parts of sample collection, these two groups were subdivided into Cx37+ plaque group, Cx37-plaque group, Cx37+blood group and Cx37-blood group.RT-PCR was applied to detect the expression of Cx37 in different body parts.The mononuclear macrophages were cultured after being separated from blood and plague in both groups.The current density of mononuclear macrophage was detected by the whole cell recording.Results The relative expression of Cx37 in Cx37 + plaque group was higher than that in plaque group ([1.10±0.02] vs [0.60±0.03]).Energy Spectrum CT was used to detect the carotid artery plaque in both Cx37 + and Cx37-groups, which verified the successful model construction.At 80,120 and 160ms, the current density in Cx37 + plaque group([0.61± 0.06], [0.67±0.07], [0.91±0.03]A/cm2) was significantly higher than those in Cx37 + blood group([0.49±0.02], [0.61±0.03], [0.67±0.02]A/cm2) , Cx37-plaque group([0.48±0.02], [0.60±0.02], [0.64±0.02]A/cm2) and Cx37-blood group([0.49±0.02], [0.59±0.02], [0.64±0.02]A/cm2).The same goes for those at 200, 240, 320ms(P<0.05).Conclusion Cx37 has more significant impact on the current density in the plaque of mononuclear macrophage than in the peripheral blood in promoting macrophages activation and atherosclerosis progress.

Objective: This study aims to analyze the therapeutic effect and prognostic factors of carcinoma of parotid gland (CPG). Methods: Data on 103 CPG patients were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into the simple surgery group (Group One) and post-operative radio-chemotherapy group (Group Two). Kaplan-Meier survival analysis, Log-rank test, and Cox re-gression analysis were employed to analyze the five-year overall survival. Chi-square test was applied to compare the local control rate and recurrence-free survival. Logistic regression analysis was used to determine the correlation between all factors and the local control rate. Results:For all patients, the five-year local control rate, five-year recurrence-free survival rate, and five-year overall survival rate were 71.49%, 69.61%, and 76.10%respectively. The five-year local control ratio (81.96%vs. 61.90%), five-year recurrence-free surviv-al (78.69%vs. 59.52%), and five-year overall survival (88.12%vs. 68.50%) were significantly improved in Group Two compared with Group One. The logistic regression analysis showed that the therapeutic method, T staging, as well as pN(+) neck and tumor differentia-tion were significantly correlated to the five-year local control rate and five-year recurrence-free survival (P<0.01). Cox regression anal-ysis showed that therapeutic method, T stage, as well as pN(+) neck and tumor differentiation were significantly correlated to the five-year overall survival (P<0.01). Conclusion:Post-operative radio-chemotherapy can improve the local control and overall survival rates. This therapeutic method is applicable to patients with T3-4 tumors, as well as pN(+) neck and middle-low differentiation.

Objective To investigate the mechanism of radiosensitizing effects of endostatin on H-520 human lung squamous cancer cells.Methods H-520 cells was treated with endostatin and/or radiation.Colony-forming assays were used to indicate the radiosensitising effects.Cell cycle distribution and expression of phosphor-p38-MAPK were assayed by FCM,and cyclin D1,cdk2,cdk4 and survivin mRNA leveh were assayed by RT-PCR.Phosphor-Akt was evaluated by Western-blotting.Results Combination of endostatin and irradiation inhibited the proliferation of H-520 cells.According to the colony-forming assays,the D0,Dq,D10 and SF2 values of the combination groups were much lower than those of irradiation groups.The sensitization enhancement ratio(SER)was 1.51.G2/M arrest occurred after 4 Gy irradiation.The gene expression of cyclin D1,cdk2,ckd4 and survivin and phosphor-Akt protein were down-regulated after treatment.The expression of phosphor-p38-MAPK protein was also down-regulated after treatment with 200 μg/ml endostar.Conclusions Endostatin inhibits the growth of H-520 cells and radiosensitizes the cells by induction of G0/G1 arrest,cell apoptosis and down-regulation of gene expression of cyelin D1,cdk2,cdk4 and reduces the phosphorylation of Akt and p38-MAPK.
