[Purpose]To analyze the trends of incidence and mortality of lung cancer in Jinshan District of Shanghai from 2002 to 2020.[Methods]The data of lung cancer was obtained from the Shanghai Cancer Registry and the population data was obtained from the Jinshan District Bureau of Public Security.The crude rate and age-standardized rate of incidence and mortality(ASIR and ASMR),and the average annual percentage change(AAPC)of lung cancer were calculated.[Results]From 2002 to 2020,8 982 new cases and 6 081 deaths of lung cancer were reported.The ASIR of lung cancer increased from 36.55/105 to 56.72/105 with an AAPC of 3.34％(P＜0.05).The ASIR was also increased in male and female,with higher increase in female(AAPC=8.56％)than that in male(AAPC=0.50％).The ASMR decreased from 32.25/105 to 23.06/105 with an AAPC of-2.08％(P＜0.05).The ASMR was decreased both in male and female,with higher decline in male(AAPC=-2.71％)than that in female(AAPC=-0.43％).The disease risk in male was higher than that in female,while the difference in ASIR between male and female was decreasing.The inci-dence and mortality increased with age.[Conclusion]From 2002 to 2020,the incidence of lung cancer in Jinshan District was increasing,but the age-standardized mortality was decreasing.The incidence and mortality of lung cancer varied among different ages and sexes,so targeted preven-tion and control measures should be implemented.

[Purpose]To analyze the trends of mortality and probability of premature mortality caused by colorectal cancer in Jinshan District of Shanghai from 1980 to 2023.[Methods]The death database of Jinshan District from 1980 to 2023 were established based on the death reports from the medical institutions and public security bureau at all levels.The crude mortality rate,age-standardized mortality rate by Chinese standard population and world standard population(ASRC and ASRW),age-specific mortality rate,probability of premature mortality,annual percentage change(APC)and average annual percentage change(AAPC)of colorectal cancer were calculated.[Results]The crude mortality rate of colorectal cancer increased from 1980 to 2023(AAPC=2.36％,P＜0.001)and the ASRW of colorectal cancer decreased at the same period(AAPC=-1.02％,P=0.003).The ASRW of colorectal cancer in male and female showed a decreasing trend from 1990 to 1999(APC=-5.08％,-7.85％,P=0.007,0.011),but there was no significant change in other periods.The age-specific mortality rate increased with age and reached the peak at the age group of 70～74 years old during 1980-1989,75～79 years old during 1990-1999,80～84 years old during 2000-2009 and 2010-2019,85 years old and above during 2020-2023(109.22/105,77.56/105,113.78/105,172.82/105 and 236.58/105,respectively).The probability of premature mortality of colorectal cancer decreased in male and female(AAPC=-1.10％,-2.41％,P=0.047,＜0.001),but there was no change after the year of 2000.[Conclusion]The overall mortality rate of colorectal cancer in Jinshan District showed a decreasing trend from 1980 to 2023,but the standardized mortality rate and the probability of premature mortality had not shown a significant downward trend since 2000.

Objective To analyze the death rate and life loss of injuries in Jinshan District of Shanghai from 1990 to 2023, and to provide a scientific basis for the formulation of injury prevention and control measures. Methods Excel 2010 was used to establish a database for injury death reports in Jinshan District from 1990 to 2023, and the crude mortality rate, standardized mortality rate, age-specific mortality rate, potential years of life lost (PYLL), rate of potential years of life lost (PYLLR) and standardized rate of potential years of life lost (SPYLLR) were calculated. Results From 1990 to 2023, the crude mortality rate due to injuries in Jinshan District was 52.25/100 000, while the standardized mortality rate was 36.95/100 000. Based on the standardized mortality rate, the top four causes of injury-related deaths were traffic accidents, falls, drowning, and suicide. Traffic accidents ranked first as the leading cause of death for both males (19.30/100 000) and females (8.41/100 000). The top cause of death for the 0-14 years old group was drowning, the 15-64 years old group was traffic accidents, and the 65 years old and above was falls. Over the 34-year period, according to SPYLLR, the top four causes of death for both genders were consistently traffic accidents, drowning, suicide, and falls. Conclusion From 1990 to 2023, traffic accidents, falls, drowning, and suicide have been the primary causes of injury-related deaths in Jinshan District, Shanghai. It is essential to develop targeted prevention and control strategies based on the specific characteristics of these injury-related fatalities.

Objective:To investigate the association between dietary diversity and the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) .Methods:A total of 553 patients diagnosed with CHD and undergoing PCI in the Department of Cardiology at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University between May and November 2023 were enrolled using a convenience sampling method. A Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire was used to assess patients' dietary intake after PCI, and the Dietary Diversity Score (DDS) was calculated. Patients were followed up for one year to determine the incidence of MACE.Results:History of hypertension, history of hyperlipidemia, body mass index, use of antiplatelet agents, use of diuretics, triglycerides, smoking index and DDS were identified as factors influencing the occurrence of MACE after PCI ( P<0.05) . Among these, higher dietary diversity had a protective effect against MACE. Conclusions:After PCI, patients with lower DDS experienced MACE more frequently than those with higher scores. Increased dietary diversity can effectively help prevent MACE in patients after PCI.

Objective:To investigate the independent and interactive effects of sleep quality and sleep chronotype on the severity of coronary artery lesions in patients with coronary heart disease.Methods:From September 2023 to January 2024, 322 inpatients with coronary heart disease diagnosed by coronary angiography in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University were selected for the study using the convenience sampling method. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and the Chinese version of the Munich Chronotype Questionnaire were used to investigate the sleep quality and sleep chronotype, and the Gensini score was used to evaluate the severity of coronary artery lesions. Multiple ordered Logistic regression was used to explore the factors influencing the severity of coronary artery lesions in patients with coronary heart disease.Results:Multiple ordered Logistic regression analysis showed that total cholesterol, history of diabetes mellitus, sleep quality, and sleep chronotype were influencing factors in the severity of coronary artery lesions in patients with coronary heart disease ( P<0.05) . There were statistically significant main and interaction effects of sleep quality and sleep chronotype on the severity of coronary artery lesions ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Sleep quality and sleep chronotype in patients with coronary heart disease have not only independent but also interactive effects on the severity of coronary artery lesions. Nursing staff can provide guidance and interventions for sleep quality and sleep chronotype that may help control the progression of coronary artery lesions in patients with coronary heart disease.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of endoscopic variceal ligation (EVL) of esophageal varices combined with endoscopic variceal intensive ligation (EVIL) of gastric varices for gastroesophageal variceal bleeding with liver cirrhosis under non-emergency settings.Methods:Data of 643 consecutive patients with gastroesophageal variceal bleeding due to liver cirrhosis admitted to the Department of Gastroenterology, Henan Provincial People's Hospital from January 2017 to March 2023 were included in the retrospective study. A total of 192 patients were included after excluding 451 patients. One hundred and forty-nine patients who underwent EVL of esophageal varices combined with EVIL of gastric varices were enrolled into the EVIL group, while 43 patients who underwent EVL of esophageal varices combined with endoscopic tissue adhesive injection (ETAI) of gastric varices were enrolled into the ETAI group. The endoscopic treatment success rate, esophageal variceal ligations number, operation time of endoscopic treatment, hospitalization time, rebleeding rate, mortality and the incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups.Results:Compared with the ETAI group, the EVIL group exhibited significantly higher endoscopic treatment success rate [100.0% (149/149) VS 95.3% (41/43), P=0.049], slightly greater esophageal variceal ligations number [8 (6, 11) rings VS 7 (6, 9) rings, Z=-1.29, P=0.196], shorter operation time of endoscopic treatment [27.0 (20.5, 34.0) min VS 36.0 (21.0, 51.0) min, Z=-2.30, P=0.021], and significantly shorter hospitalization time [10 (7, 13) d VS 13 (9, 15) d, Z=-3.02, P=0.003]. The rebleeding rate within 24, 72, 120 hours after the operation, early, delayed and total rebleeding in the EVIL group were 0.0% (0/149), 0.0% (0/149), 0.7% (1/149), 2.0% (3/149), 12.8% (19/149) and 14.8% (22/149) respectively, and 4.7% (2/43) ( P=0.049), 9.3% (4/43) ( P=0.002), 9.3% (4/43) ( χ2=6.69, P=0.010), 4.7% (2/43) ( χ2=0.17, P=0.679), 30.2% (13/43) ( χ2=7.34, P=0.007) and 44.2% (19/43) ( χ2=17.20, P<0.001) in the ETAI group, respectively. No death related to rebleeding occurred within 6 weeks after the operation in 2 groups. The mortality related to rebleeding within 1 year after the operation and during the follow-up period in the EVIL group were 1.3% (2/149) and 3.4% (5/149) respectively, and 0.0% (0/43) ( P=1.000) and 2.3% (1/43) ( χ2=0.02, P=0.876) in the ETAI group, respectively. The incidences of fever, chest pain, nausea or vomiting in the EVIL group were 12.1% (18/149), 14.1% (21/149) and 13.4% (20/149) respectively, and 11.6% (5/43) ( χ2=0.01, P=0.936), 16.3% (7/43) ( χ2=0.13, P=0.721) and 18.6% (8/43) ( χ2=0.72, P=0.396) in the ETAI group, respectively. Two patients (1.3%) in the EVIL group had gastric variceal ring loss. Ectopic embolism occurred in 1 patient (2.3%) in the ETAI group. Conclusion:For patients with gastroesophageal variceal bleeding due to liver cirrhosis who are suitable for non-emergency endoscopic treatment, EVL of esophageal varices combined with EVIL of gastric varices is also safe, and more effective than EVL of esophageal varices combined with ETAI of gastric varices. This approach offers improved treatment success rate, reduced operation and hospitalization time, lower rebleeding rates, and decreased rebleeding-related mortality.

Objective:To compare the efficacy of saline irrigation following mesh basket lithotripsy and mesh basket combined with balloon lithotripsy for choledocholithiasis.Methods:Data of 76 patients who received endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) for choledocholithiasis in Henan Provincial People's Hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 30 patients underwent saline irrigation of the biliary tract after mesh basket lithotripsy (the saline group), while 46 patients underwent mesh basket combined with balloon lithotripsy (the balloon group). The procedure success rate, operation time, procedure cost, and incidence of postoperative complications were compared.Results:The stone extraction success rates were 100.0% in both groups. The operation time in the saline group was shorter than that in the balloon group [20.0 (16.0, 27.5) min VS 29.0 (22.0, 33.3) min, Z=-2.88 , P=0.004]. The procedure cost in the saline group was lower than that in the balloon group [13 466.5 (13 318.0, 13 784.0) yuan VS 16 209.0 (15 989.0, 16 327.8) yuan, Z=-6.37 , P<0.001]. There was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative fever, cholangitis or pancreatitis between the two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusion:Compared with mesh basket combined with balloon lithotripsy, saline irrigation of the biliary tract after mesh basket lithotripsy can shorten the operation time, reduce the procedure cost, and maintain a high procedure success rate for treating choledocholithiasis.
