Gastric cancer remains a highly prevalent malignancy worldwide, with surgical resection currently constituting the cornerstone of treatment aimed at improving long-term patient survival. Owing to their notable advantages, including reduced surgical trauma and accelerated postoperative recovery, minimally invasive procedures are progressively supplanting conventional open surgery and have become the mainstream approach in gastric cancer management. Concurrently, the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has enabled real-time intraoperative monitoring of surgical scenes, thereby furnishing novel technical support for adjunctive decision-making, surgical navigation, and skill assessment during gastrectomy. This article provides a systematic review of the current status of AI applications in minimally invasive gastric cancer surgery, with a particular focus on research progress pertaining to instrument recognition, surgical phase identification, delineation of normal anatomical structures, detection of metastatic foci, and early warning of intraoperative adverse events. Furthermore, we discuss the potential value of AI in enhancing surgical efficiency, ensuring patient safety, and optimizing surgical education. On this basis, we further analyze the principal challenges and inherent risks confronting current AI systems, with the aim of informing future technological innovation and facilitating clinical translation.

Objective To examine the association between sleep and depressive symptoms among community-dwelling older adults and whether loneliness mediates this association.Methods Using a multistage sampling approach,we enrolled participants aged 60 years or older from two communities in Chengdu,China.A questionnaire was used to collect basic information,including age,sex,etc.,from the participants.In addition,loneliness,depressive symptoms,and sleep quality were assessed using a short-form University of California Los Angeles Loneliness Scale(ULS-8),the 10-item version of Center of Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale(CESD-10),and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),respectively.The Spearman rank correlation coefficient was employed to assess the correlations among social sleep,loneliness,and depression symptoms.Generalized structural equation modeling was used to assess the mediating effect of loneliness between sleep and depressive symptoms.Results Of the 1377 participants,32.03％(441)experienced loneliness and 30.57％(421)had depressive symptoms,with the median and interquartile range of their sleep quality being 6(3,9).Correlation analysis revealed statistically significant associations between sleep quality,loneliness,and depressive symptoms(P＜0.001).Generalized structural equation modeling analysis revealed that loneliness had a partial mediation effect on the association between sleep quality and depressive symptoms(b=0.075;95％CI,0.025-0.125;P＜0.05),accounting for 44.38％of the total effect(95％CI,0.258-0.630;P＜0.001).Conclusion Poor sleep quality is associated with a higher risk of depressive symptoms in community-dwelling older adults,with loneliness mediating the association.Further research on improving the sleep quality to mitigate depressive symptoms in older adults is warranted.Special attention should be given to older adults experiencing both poor sleep and loneliness.

Objective:To explore the osteogenic activity of in vitro cultured preosteoblasts treated by magnesium loaded hydrogel core-shell microspheres.Methods:A microfluidics chip device was designed and made to fabricate magnesium loaded hydrogel core-shell microspheres to precisely control the stable release of magnesium ions in vitro,the mechanism of controllable magnesium ion release in the promotion of osteogenic activity of MC3T3-E1 preosteoblasts was systematically investigated.Results:The magnesium loaded hydro-gel microspheres(PLGA/MgO-alginate microspheres)prepared by the microfluidics chip exhibited to be monodisperse with special core-shell structure and could control the stable release of magnesium ions at a concentration of 50 ppm in vitro.The in vitro study showed that it significantly enhanced the activity and proliferation ability of MC3T3-E1 preosteoblasts,promoted their osteogenic differ-entiation and mineralization ability,and increased ALP activity.Conclusion:Magnesium loaded hydrogel core-shell microspheres can promote the osteogenic activity of MC3T3-E1 osteoblasts in vitro.

Empathy is one of the basic qualities that modern clinicians need to possess.Although traditional Chinese medicine has no definition for empathy,it does have practical applications.TCM clinical empathy,nurtured by Chinese excellent traditional culture,can be seen in TCM classics and clinical practice of famous doctors of previous generations,and has been inherited in the spiritual thinking of modern colleges and universities of Chinese medicine.However,at present,there is a relative lack of special training courses for"empathy"in Chinese medicine higher education.This paper first briefly describes the connotation,history,and neuroscience mechanism of the concept of"empathy".Secondly,the manifestations and characteristics of"empathy"in the clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine were sorted out.Finally,we use modern medicine and psychology for reference,and combine the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine to make suggestions for the cultivation of the ability of"empathy"in clinical Chinese medicine.

OBJECTIVETo explore the phenomena and regularity of heat-sensitive acupoints for clinic and further study.

METHODSModern literature before May 11st, 2017 on heat-sensitive phenomena was retrieved from CNKI, VIP, database, and SinoMED. The research trend of heat-sensitive acupoints and interventions, heat-sensitive region, detection indexes, and diseases were analyzed by bibliometrics.

RESULTSAmong 201 included papers, 35 papers on healthy person was the highest, which were mainly related to Mingmen (GV 4) with 8 papers. As to the detection indexes, 125 papers on the individual, saturated and sensation vanishing moxibustion quantity accounted for the largest part, which were most relevant to the points in the bladder meridian of foot- (66 papers) and soft tissue injury (29 papers), and the second part was infrared radiation feature (61 papers), which were most relevant to healthy person (23 papers).

CONCLUSIONHeat-sensitive phenomena own regularity, and the detection indexes are specific to heat-sensitive points in healthy person or patients with different diseases.

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for the patent application of artificial cultivation and seed treatment technology of Paridis Rhizoma and natural resources protection. METHODS:Retrieved from State Intellectual Property Office patent database,“Paridis Rhizoma”and“Paris polyphylla”were used as search keywords from 1985 to March 31,2015;Paridis Rhizoma cultiva-tion and seed treatment technology patents as research object were analyzed in fields of the amount of patent application,regional construction and legal status,etc. RESULTS:Among 54 Paridis Rhizoma cultivation patent application,there were 19 applications from Yunnan,9 from Sichuan,8 from Hubei,5 from Anhui,4 from Hunan,3 from Guizhou,2 from Jiangxi,1 from Fujian, Shanxi,Jiangsu,Guangxi respectively;there were 18 licensed patents,and 13 licensed patents maintained more than 3 years, among which 1 patent right transferred;from aspect of patent without right,6 patent right were given up due to fail to pay annual fee,1 rejected and 5 withdrawn;from main types of patent proposer,enterprise submitted 24 patent application,universities 15, scientific research institutes 8 and other 7. 24 enterprise patents involved 21 enterprises,indicating that patent protection net didn’t form due to disperse proposers. CONCLUSIONS:Patent application is mainly from Yunnan. There still are some problems,such as small number of patent applications,poor quality of application writing,little patent transformation. It is suggested to plan artificial cultivation technology,enhance the quality of patent application,pay attention to patent operation and achievement transformation and other measures,in order to protect Paridis Rhizoma resource and industrial development.
