Objective This study reports on the obligatory parasitism of water mites Arrenurus sp. on Anopheles messeae at the Manzhouli Port, Inner Mongolia, China. Methods Duing July 2024, a survey on the mosquito diversity was conducted at the Manzhouli Port. Captured mosquitoes and their ectoparasites were identified to species level. Results A total of 1840 adult mosquitoes were collected, representing species from three genera: Culex(Cx. modestus, Cx. pipiens pallens), Aedes(Ae. dorsalis, Ae. flavidorsalis, Ae. flavescens), and Anopheles (An. messeae). Among all the mosqutioes specimens,3 out of 150 captured An. messeae were found to carry ectoparasitic mites, with number of 2,4,27 mites separately. Morphological and molecular identification reached the same result as water mites(Hydrachnidiae, Hydracrina). COI gene sequence showed 94% similarity with the closest species Arrenurus truncatellus. Conlusions Literature review suggests water mites are host-specific parasitism of mosquito species and herein with the first record of Arrenurus sp. parasiting on An. Messeae in the most high-latitude region globally.

AIM To study the chemical constituents from the branches and leaves of Michelia yunnanensis Franch.ex Finet & Gagnep.and their anti-inflammatory activities.METHODS The methanol extract was isolated and purified by silica gel,MCI,Sephadex LH-20 and semi-preparative HPLC,then the structures of obtained compounds were identified by physicochemical properties and spectral data.Their anti-inflammatory activities were evaluated by RAW264.7 model.RESULTS Twenty compounds were isolated and identified as dihydrodehydrodiconifenyl alcohol(1),8-hydroxypinoresinol(2),lariciresinol(3),isolariciresinol(4),(7S,8R)-4-hydroxy-3,3',5'-trimethoxy-8',9'-dinor-8,4'-oxyneoligna-7,9-diol-7'-aldehyde(5),thero-2,3-bis-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxypheyl)-3-methoxy-propanol(6),evofolin B(7),(E)-p-coumaryl alcohol γ-O-methyl ether(8),ω-hydroxypropioguaiacone(9),sinapaldehyde(10),isoscopoletin(11),6-hydroxy-5,7-dimethoxycoumarin(12),2α,3α-dihydroxy-2-methylbutyrolactone(13),6-hydroxy-3(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)-6-methyl-2-cyclohexen-1-one(14),benzofuran-2-carboxaldehyde(15),3,4-dihydroxy-5-methoxybenzaldehyde(16),3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde(17),3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde(18),3,4-dihydroxybenzoic methyl ester(19),vanillic acid(20).The inhibition rate of compound 1 on NO was 45.39％±0.32％.CONCLUSION Compounds 1-16,18-20 are first isolated from this plant.Compound 1 has anti-inflammatory activity.

OBJECTIVE To investigate and analyze the current situation and problems of the advanced personnel en-gaging in the hospital-acquired infection control during their training period and explore the existing countermeas-ures and future development.METHODS The literatures regarding to the advanced study in China were retrieved from databases,the subjects of the literatures covered infection control-related advanced study practice,discipline construction,position competence,talent cultivation,scientific research innovation,professional title evaluation,laws,regulations and development plans.From Aug.2024 to Nov.2024,a questionnaire survey and face-to-face interviews were conducted among 36 advanced study personnel from 9 provinces of China who engaged in hos-pital-acquired infection control in the First Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital.Eventually,36 ques-tionnaires were retrieved,all of which were valid with a questionnaire recovery rate of 100.00％.RESULTS Among the 36 advanced study personnel of hospital-acquired infection control,58.33％were medium-grade professional ti-tle;preventive medicine(41.67％),clinical medicine(25.00％)and nursing(16.67％)ranked the top 3 majors.The personnel engaged in the infection control for more than 6 years,and the duration of the advanced study was generally 3 or 6 months.In reality,the personnel faced the choices in terms of the purposes of further education,learning approaches and learning contents.The advanced study personnel also encountered the problems of challenges from promotion,improvement of position competency,integration with clinical training,supervision and practice,as well as physiological,psychological and family pressure.CONCLUSION Aiming at the problems that the advanced study personnel are generally concerned about,such as how to scientifically and effectively carry out hospital-acquired infection control advanced study and preset and solve the problems that may encounter,it is necessary to formulate targeted training programmes so as to provide bases and enlightenment for establishment of a long-term mechanism for advanced study of infection control in China.

Objective To investigate the effect of butorphanol on lipopolysaccharide-induced chondrocyte injury by regulating the stromal cell-derived factor-1α(SDF-1α)/C-X-C chemokine receptor 4(CXCR4)pathway.Methods Human C28/12 chondrocytes were cultured in vitro and assigned to the following groups:control(normal culture),model(100 μmol/L lipopolysaccharide),model+low-dose butorphanol(100 μmol/L lipopolysaccharide+1μmol/L butorphanol),model+medium-dose butorphanol(100 μmol/L lipopolysaccharide+2 μmol/L butorphanol),model+high-dose butorphanol(100 μmol/L lipopolysaccharide+4 μmol/L butorphanol),and model+high-dose butorphanol+NUCC-390(100 μmol/L lipopolysaccharide+4 μmol/L butorphanol+500 nmol/L CXCR4 agonist NUCC-390).Cell viability,interleukin(IL)-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)levels,apoptosis,and SDF-1α/CXCR4 pathway-related proteins were evaluated by MTT assay,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,flow cytometry,and Western blot,respectively.Results Chondrocyte survival rate and Bcl-2 protein expression were decreased while TNF-α,IL-6,apoptosis rate,Bax,Cleaved caspase-3,SDF-1α,and CXCR4 proteins were increased in the model group compared with the control group(P＜0.05).The above indicators were improved in the model+low-,medium-,and high-dose butorphanol groups compared with the model group,while the result for the model+high-dose butorphanol+NUCC-390 group were opposite to those of the model+high-dose butorphanol group.Conclusions Butorphanol may improve lipopolysaccharide-induced chondrocyte injury induced by inhibiting the SDF-1α/CXCR4 signaling pathway.

Aim To clarify the mechanism by which Qishen Yixin Granules improved microcirculation vas-cular endothelial dysfunction(VED)in mice,through activating the Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway to regulate oxidative stress.Methods C57 mice were randomly divided into six groups:blank group,model group,pos-itive drug group,and low-,medium-,and high-dose groups of Qishen Yixin Granules.The VED model was established by long-term infusion of Ang Ⅱ combined with a high-fat diet.Each treatment group received the corresponding drug intervention.After four weeks of drug intervention,cardiac function was assessed by echocardiography.Carstairs staining was used to ob-serve the formation of microthrombi in myocardial tis-sue.The micro vascular ischemia was evaluated by Hei-denhain staining.The ultrastructure of endothelial cells was observed by electron microscopy.The levels of EMPs,ROS,NO,ET-1,TF,TM,VWF,and TXA2 in serum were measured by ELISA.The expression levels of MDA,SOD,and GSH-Px in mouse heart tissue were determined by chemical methods.Cardiac microvascu-lar density and the expression of Nrf2,Keap1,and HO-1 proteins were detected by Immunohistochemical stai-ning.The protein expressions of Keap1,cytoplasmic Nrf2,nuclear Nrf2,and HO-1 in myocardial tissue were detected by Western blot.Results Qishen Yixin Granules could effectively improve the cardiac function of mice,alleviate the damage of endothelial cells and endothelial function.They could up-regulate serum NO levels and the activities of antioxidant enzymes SOD and GSH-Px,while down-regulating the expression of ROS and vascular inflammatory injury factors such as ET-1,VWF,TXA2,TF,TM,and EMPs.Qishen Yixin Granules also increased the positive counts of CD34,Nrf2,and HO-1,as well as microvessel density.Fur-thermore,they inhibited the expression of MDA,Keap1,and cytoplasmic Nrf2 protein in myocardial tis-sue,while increasing the expression of nuclear proteins HO-1 and Nrf2.Conclusions Qishen Yixin Granules may inhibit oxidative stress and inflammatory response by regulating the Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway,thereby improving vascular endothelial damage and cardiac function in VED mice.

Objective To investigate the mechanism of action of circ-0058063 regulating ERK/MAPK signaling pathway on ferroptosis in esophageal cancer cells.Methods EC9706 cells were randomly divided into the Control group,the si-NC group,the si-circ-0058063 group,and the si-circ-0058063+ISO group.qRT-PCR was used to detect the expression of circ-0058063 in esophageal cancer tissues and cells;CCK-8 and clone formation assay were used to detect the cell proliferation ability.The levels of Fe2+,malondialdehyde(MDA),glutathione(GSH),and reactive oxygen species(ROS)in cells were detected.Western blot was used to detect the ERK/MAPK signaling pathway and the expression of ferroptosis-related protein in cells.Results The expression level of circ-0058063 in esophageal cancer tissue was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues(P<0.05);the expression level of circ-0058063 in human esophageal cancer cell EC9706 was significantly higher than that in human normal esophageal epithelial cell HEEC(P<0.05).Compared with the Control group,the expression level of circ-0058063 in cells,cell survival rate,number of cloned cells,GSH level,ratios of p-ERK1/2/ERK1/2 and p-p38MAPK/p38MAPK,as well as the expression levels of SLC7A11 and GPX4 protein in the si-circ-0058063 group were significantly reduced(P<0.05),while the levels of Fe2+,MDA,and ROS in cells were significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the si-circ-0058063 group,the expression level of circ-0058063 in cells,cell survival rate,number of cloned cells,GSH level,ratios of p-ERK1/2/ERK1/2 and p-p38MAPK/p38MAPK,as well as the expression levels of SLC7A11 and GPX4 protein in the si-circ-0058063+ISO group were significantly increased(P<0.05),while the levels of Fe2+,MDA,and ROS in cells were significantly decreased(P<0.05).Conclusion Knockdown of circ-0058063 can inhibit the proliferation of esophageal cancer cells and induce ferroptosis,and its mechanism of action may be related to the inhibition of ERK/MAPK signaling pathway activation.

Objective:To explore the effect of multiple modified process management intervention on cardiac func-tion,psychological state,stress level,sleep quality and adverse events in patients with severe coronary atherosclerot-ic heart disease(CHD).Methods:This randomized controlled study enrolled 130 severe CHD patients who were treated in Affiliated Beijing Shijitan Hospital of Capital Medical University between January 2020 and May 2023.Patients were randomly divided into control group(n=65)and intervention group(n=65).Patients in the control group were treated with routine management intervention,while those in the intervention group were given addi-tional multiple modified process management interventions.Both groups were intervened for 4 weeks.Cardiac func-tion,levels of norepinephrine(NE)and cortisol(COR),scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS),General Comfort Questionnaire(GCQ),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),and the incidence of adverse events during intervention were compared between the two groups.Results:Compared to those in control group after intervention,patients in intervention group had significant higher left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)[(57.81±2.15)％vs.(50.11±2.99)％]and GCQ score[(95.88±5.37)points vs.(75.81±6.67)points](P＜0.001 all),and significant lower left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV)[(109.81±5.37)ml vs.(129.26±5.17)ml],left ventricular end-systolic volume(LVESV)[(50.85±3.08)ml vs.(66.02±3.77)ml],levels of NE[(61.56±5.49)pg/ml vs.(69.86±5.03)pg/ml],COR[(85.63±5.19)ng/ml vs.(92.28±6.57)ng/ml],scores of SAS[(30.06±5.19)points vs.(49.51±5.85)points],SDS[(31.86±4.51)points vs.(40.00±5.10)points]and PSQI[(8.72±1.58)points vs.(13.89±2.40)points],and incidence of ad-verse events(4.69％vs.23.44％)(P＜0.01 all).Conclusion:The multiple modified process management interven-tion may improve the cardiac function,adverse psychological state,stress level,sleep quality and reduce the inci-dence of adverse events in patients with severe CHD.
