Objective: To understand the smoking-related behaviors and influencing factors of current smoking among medical staff in Fengtai District, Beijing Municipality, so as to provide the reference for reducing the current smoking rate of medical staff. Methods: Medical staff in 28 medical and health institutions in Fengtai District were selected as the survey subjects from February to March and July to August 2023. Basic information, smoking and smoking cessation behaviors, and the provision of brief smoking cessation intervention services were collected through electronic questionnaires. Factors affecting current smoking among medical staff were analyzed using a multivariable logistic regression model. Results: Totally 6 716 questionnaires were allocated, and 6 714 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 99.97%. There were 1 590 males (23.68%) and 5 124 females (76.32%). There were 3 315 medical staff in clinical department, accounting for 49.37%. There were 457 current smokers and the current smoking rate among medical staff was 6.81%. The proportion of medical staff in clinical departments who were current smokers and provided brief smoking cessation intervention services was 72.99%, which was lower than that of non-current smokers at 85.18% (P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that medical staff in secondary and above hospitals (OR=1.454, 95%CI: 1.136-1.862), male (OR=51.158, 95%CI: 34.810-75.183), work experience of 10~<20 years (OR=1.492, 95%CI: 1.065~2.092) or ≥30 years (OR=1.574, 95%CI: 1.011~2.449), those with positions (OR=1.644, 95%CI: 1.159-2.332), and those in logistics departments (OR=2.124, 95%CI: 1.278-3.528) or other departments (OR=2.011, 95%CI: 1.297-3.118) had a higher likelihood of being current smokers. On the contrary, medical staff with a bachelor's or junior college education level (OR=0.487, 95%CI: 0.346-0.685) or a master's degree or above (OR=0.268, 95%CI: 0.159-0.454), and those with an intermediate professional title (OR=0.430, 95%CI: 0.291-0.636) or a senior professional title (OR=0.452, 95%CI: 0.283-0.723) had a lower likelihood of being current smokers. A total of 214 medical staff successfully quit smoking, and the smoking cessation rate was 31.89%. Among them, 20, 18, and 17 medical staff had used the smoking cessation service hotline, visited smoking cessation clinics, and taken smoking cessation medications, respectively. In the past year, 199 medical staff who were current smokers (43.54%) had attempted to quit smoking, and 280 medical staff who were current smokers (61.27%) had the willingness to quit smoking. Conclusions The current smoking rate among medical staff in Fengtai District is relatively high. Hospital level, gender, educational level, work experience, position, professional title, and department are influencing factors for current smoking among medical staff. It is necessary to enhance the willingness of medical staff to quit smoking and their understanding of smoking cessation intervention services, so as to reduce the current smoking rate.

Polygonatum sibiricum， as a traditional Chinese medicine with both medicinal and edible properties， has attracted considerable attention due to its functions of nourishing Yin and moistening the lungs， tonifying the spleen and benefiting Qi， and nourishing the kidneys and filling essence. Recent studies have demonstrated that Polygonatum sibiricum plays a significant role in regulating the immune system， effectively enhancing and improving the morphology and function of immune organs， stimulating the proliferation and activation of immune cells， and regulating the secretion and release of immune factors， thereby enhancing the immune function of the body and improving various immune-related diseases. Although a large number of studies have explored the pharmacological effects and mechanisms of P. sibiricum， there has been no systematic review and summary of its immune regulatory activity and mechanisms. Therefore， this article comprehensively reviews the research achievements of P. sibiricum polysaccharides and saponins in the field of immune regulation in recent years， and further sorts out the immune regulatory mechanisms of P. sibiricum in multiple aspects： including increasing the organ index of the spleen and thymus， increasing the number and activity of tumor-suppressive bone marrow hematopoietic stem cells， improving intestinal flora imbalance， regulating the quantity and proportion of T lymphocyte subsets， increasing the level of immunoglobulin， promoting the proliferation of macrophages， enhancing the activity of natural killer cells， increasing the number of white blood cells， and promoting the maturation of dendritic cells， providing a solid theoretical basis and scientific evidence for the research and application of P. sibiricum， and promoting its development and application in traditional Chinese medicine immune enhancers and various functional products.

Objective To explore the quality markers of Puerariae Lobatue Radix;To predict its"efficacy component group"with alcohol detoxification and liver protection effects.Methods Fingerprints of 26 batches of Puerariae Lobatue Radix samples from different origins in China was established.Multivariate statistical analysis was employed to identify quality markers,while network pharmacology and molecular docking were used to predict the potential"efficacy component group".Results UPLC fingerprint analysis calibrated 11 common peaks.Clustering analysis classified 26 batches of samples into 3 categories,and 7 quality markers were ultimately screened through multivariate statistical analysis,including mirificin,puerarin,puerarin-6''-O-xyloside,3'-methoxypuerarin,ononin,genistin and daidzin.Network pharmacology revealed that all 7 markers interacted with targets related to alcohol-associated liver disease,identifying 19 core targets such as TNF,CASP3,BCL2,MMP9,IL2,and 93 signaling pathways involving IL-17 and PI3K-Akt signaling pathways.Molecular docking demonstrated strong binding affinity between the 7 markers and target proteins,with binding energies<-5 kcal/mol.Conclusion The"efficacy component group",main targets and signaling pathways predicted in this study can provide support for the research on the mechanism,material basis and quality control of the alcohol detoxification and liver protection effects of Puerariae Lobatue Radix.

Objective:To analyze and compare the health education efforts of respiratory infectious diseases at home and abroad.Methods:The literature related to health education and popular science of respiratory infectious diseases included in the databases of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Web of Science (WOS) from January 1, 2003 to December 31, 2023 was searched. A total of 4 686 articles were retrieved in CNKI, 1 540 articles unrelated to the theme were excluded, and 3 146 Chinese articles were obtained. In the WOS database, 7 724 articles were retrieved, 3 685 articles about the clinical mechanism of diseases, pharmacology, and other research topics were excluded, and 4 039 English articles were obtained. The information of annual publications, institutions, authors and keywords was analyzed by using CiteSpace visualization software, and the publication status, research hotspots and development trends of health education related to respiratory infectious diseases at home and abroad were analyzed.Results:Since 2003, the number of publications in health education on respiratory infectious diseases at home and abroad had shown a fluctuating growth trend, and in 2020, the field showed a sharp growth trend at home and abroad. There was no core author group in this field in China, and the network density of domestic authors was 0.006 5, and the network density of foreign authors was 0.009 6. The domestic institutions were mainly the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and medical institutions, including Guangzhou Chest Hospital (29 articles) and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (10 articles); Foreign research institutions were mainly higher education institutions, including the University of London (91 articles) and Harvard University (67 articles). The network density of domestic was 0.001 3, and the network density of foreign publishing institutions was 0.026 3, the network density was greater than that of Chinese publishing institutions. The emergence of "COVID-19" "Avian influenza" "Knowledge, Attitude, Practice" and "mental health" in China had strong burst (burst intensity: 46.41, 12.12, 10.33, 8.5); "Coronavirus" "coverage" "Avian influenza" and "COVID-19 vaccine" in foreign countries had strong burst (burst intensity: 14.34, 11.06, 10.73, 10.02).Conclusions:At present, the health education of respiratory infectious diseases at home and abroad has received great attention. But the cooperation between domestic authors and research institutions is loose, and the close collaboration needs to be strengthened. There are differences in the research focus of health education on respiratory infectious diseases at home and abroad.

ObjectiveTaking Shengxuebao as the model traditional Chinese medicine（TCM）， this study aims to explore the methodologies and transfer patterns in the composition changes of TCM compound preparations from liquid to solid dosage forms. MethodBased on the previously established ultra-high performance liquid chromatography（UPLC） qualitative and quantitative methods for Shengxuebao， the fingerprint profiles of three preparations of Shengxuebao（homemade decoction， commercially available granules and mixtures） were established， and nineteen components were quantitatively analyzed. The similarities of fingerprint profiles among these three preparations were assessed using the Similarity Evaluation System for Chromatographic Fingerprint of TCM（2012 edition） and the total quantum statistical moment similarity method， respectively. The molecular connectivity index （MCI） and the average molar MCI of the chemical components in the three preparations were calculated. Seventy-two MCI values across 0-8 orders， including 8 subclasses， were calculated. The average molar MCI of 0-3 orders was used to study the "imprint template" structural characteristics and transfer patterns of the medicinal component groups. ResultThe similarities of the fingerprint profile of the decoction with those of the control， granules， and mixtures were 0.971， 0.888 and 0.799， respectively， indicating that the chemical composition of the granules and mixtures differed from that of the decoction， and that the 19 components were able to basically respond to the overall situation of the component group of Shengxuebao decoction. The total mass fractions of the detectable major components in Shengxuebao decoction， granules and mixtures was measured to be 5.498 6， 2.282 0， 1.416 6 mg·g^-1， respectively. The average molar MCI of 0-3 orders showed a gradual decrease across the three preparations， with the trend of decoction>granules>mixtures， indicating subtle changes in the overall structural characteristics of the chemical components in the samples of the three preparations. ConclusionAmong the three formulations of Shengxuebao， the traditional decoction contained the highest variety and quantity of components and carried the most substantial amount of component information， with a decreasing order observed in the granules and mixtures. This study further validates that traditional decoction is a reliable and fundamental dosage form， providing a reference for the modernization of TCM dosage forms and the quality consistency evaluation of compound preparations.

Objective To explore the transitive regularity of holistic constituents from the crude slices of the medicinal raw materials (MCS) to the formula granules (FG), fufang decoction (FD), and finally, the concentrated pills (CP) of Liuwei Dihuang Fufang (六味地黄复方, LWDHF). Methods Samples for MCS, FG, FD, and CP of LWDHF were obtained, and a fingerprint database was established using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), by separating the samples in an XB-C18 column and analyzing the transitive regularity of components using the total quantum statistical moment (TQSM), including total quantum zero moment (AUCT), total quantum first moment (MRTT), total quantum second moment (VRTT), and its similarity approach. The AUCT, MRTT, and VRTT were calculated based on the representative HPLC chromatograms of FG, FD, and CP of LWDHF. Results AUCT of FG, FD, and CP of LWDHF was 71 804, 46 553, and 144 646 µV·s, respectively; MRTT was 14.43, 14.54, and 18.85 min, respectively; and VRTT was 106.98, 112.84, and 269.12 min2, respectively. Comparing the similarity of FG/FD, FG/CP and FD/CP of LWDHF, the TQSM similarity values were 98.66%, 76.62%, and 75.37%, respectively, whereas the traditional similarity evaluation values were 98.68%, 85.43%, and 85.60%, respectively. Conclusion The results perform little distinction in the total composition between FG and FD, whereas some distinction existed between FD and CP. Experimental evidence, therefore indicates that FG could be used as the alternative of MCS in clinical applications.

Objective: To study the effects of estrogen on the degenerative changes of condylar cartilage and subchondral bone in rats. Methods: 18 female SD rats aged 6 weeks were divided into control(C),unilateral anterior cross-bite(UAC) and UAC treated with estrogen(UAC + E) groups(n = 6). UAC metal prosthesis was cemented to the left incisors of maxilla and mandible of the rats in group UAC and UAC + E. Rats in UAC + E group were given pexitoneal injection of 80 μg 17β-estradiol per day. The rats in group C were untreated. Animal were sacrificed at the 4th weeks. The micro-structure of subchondral bone was observed by Micro-CT scanning. HE staining,Safranin O staining,immunohistochemical staining,TUNEL staining and TRAP staining for the observation of pathological changes of histomorphology,extracellular matrix,chondrocyte apoptosis in condylar cartilage,and osteoclasts number in subchondral bone. Results: UAC and UAC + E group showed evident osteoarthritis(OA)-like lesions. Compare with UAC group,there was a significant decrease in the expression of proteoglycan(P ＜ 0. 05),type Ⅱ collagen(P ＜ 0. 01),and a significant increase in the number of apoptotic chondrocytes(P ＜ 0. 01) in UAC + E group. As for subchondral bone,the BV/TV,Tb. Th parameters in C and UAC + E groups were significant higher than in UAC group(P ＜ 0. 01),while the BS /BV,Tb. N,Tb. Sp parameters and the osteoclasts number in C and UAC + E groups were significant fewer than in UAC groups(P ＜ 0. 01). There was no significant difference in bone ultra-parameters and osteoclasts number between C and UAC + E groups(P＞ 0. 05). Conclusion: In the model of rat TMJOA induced by unilateral anterior crossbite prosthesis,supra-physiological level of estrogen can reverse bone loss in subchondral bone,but accelerate the degradation of condylar cartilage.

Objective To investigate the dynamic images of traumatic penumbra(TP)in a rat model of traumatic brain injury (TBI)treated with AQP4-RNAi using multimodal MRI(MM-MRI)at 7.0 Tesla.Methods A rat model of TBI was established by the improved Feeney's method.MRI scans were performed including T2WI,DWI,ADC and SWI.The pathological changes in penumbra area were observed.All statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 21.0 software package.Results Over time rs-T2WI,rs-DWI and rs-SWI in TBI group were gradually increased.The r-ADC began to increase at one hour after trauma and reached the peak at 6 h. Then it began to fall and reached the bottom at 12 h.At each time point,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with RNA interference group,the rs-T2WI and rs-DWI in TBI group were decreased significantly at 6 h and 12 h(P<0.05),the r-ADC was not decreased significantly at 1 h(P>0.05)and decreased significantly at 6 h and 12 h(P<0.05).At each time point,there was no significant difference in rs-SWI(P>0.05).The area of mismatch between rs-SWI and rs-DWI was the most obvious at 6 h and 12 h,and the area of mismatch was decreased in size after treatment with AQP4-RNAi.There was no significant difference between TBI group and placebo group(P>0.05).In two groups,similar pathological changes were observed,which was depicted as vasogenic edema predominantly at 1 h and mixed edema at 6 h and 12 h. In RNA interference group,intracellular edema was markedly reduced at 6 h and 12 h,and the vasogenic edema was relieved to some extent at 12 h.Conclusion The treatment with APQ4-RNAi markedly alleviates cerebral edema.MM-MRI can reflect its pathological changes.The area of mismatch between SWI and DWI can prompt early detection of traumatic penumbra,which may provide useful information for clinical treatment.
