With the rapid development of synthetic biology, genetic engineering, and molecular manipulation methods in recent years, microalgae, as representatives of microbial cell factories, have been widely used as hosts in the production of high-value bioproducts, such as oils, pigments, proteins, and biofuels, demonstrating promising prospects of application in biochemical energy, food and drugs, and environmental protection. Despite these advancements, the low production efficiency of microalgae limits their industrial application. In addition to strain improvement and culture condition optimization, the regulation by exogenous chemical additives serves as a promising optimization strategy. This method relies on straightforward phenotypic screening and circumvents the necessity for intricate understanding of molecular targets in the metabolic and catabolic pathways involved in the synthesis of bioproducts. It enables rapid yield increasing of high-value bioproducts from microalgae and obtaining the required phenotypes. Although studies have reported the use of alternatives means such as exogenous additives to improve the growth of microalgae and the yield of high-value bioproducts, the classification and summarization of the types, applications, targeted strains, and molecular mechanisms of these additives are not comprehensive. Here, we review the studies using chemical inducers or enhancers to improve cell growth and high-value bioproduct accumulation in microalgae in recent years. This paper focuses on the types of exogenous additives, the effects of exogenous additives and their combinations on microalgae growth and high-value bioproduct accumulation, and the molecular mechanisms of related effects. We aim to provide information for researchers to use methods of synthetic biology to develop suitable cell chassis and harness microalgae for industrial production.

The plant Melastoma dodecandrum Lour. is an ingredient used in She medicine that belongs to the Melastomacea family. Its main chemical components include fatty acids, organic acids, polysaccharides, volatile oils, flavonoids, tannins, triterpenes, steroids and other chemical components. Various pharmacological properties of this herbal medicine have been proved, such as anti-oxidation, hypoglycemic, blood lipid, anti-inflammatory and analgesic, hemostasis and coagulation, and antibacterial effects. Clinical studies have shown that it can be used for diseases such as gastrointestinal bleeding, metrorrhagia and diabetes. This article mainly reviews the research progress of the chemical components, pharmacological effects and clinical application of Melastoma dodecandrum, and provides theoretical guidance and practical value for the development, application and clinical research of Melastoma dodecandrum.

Objective To observe the value of ultrasound-guided intra-articular injection of hypertonic glucose(HG)for treating knee osteoarthritis in plateau area.Methods Ninety-one patients with knee osteoarthritis in plateau area(124 affected knee joints)were enrolled.The knee joints were divided into 20％HG group(n=67),25％HG group(n=42)or sodium hyaluronate group(n=15)based on the medication.Clinical and ultrasound scores were compared before and after treatment,and the efficacy of injection of HG was evaluated.Results At the 12th and 48th weeks after treatment,visual analog scale(VAS)scores decreased in all 3 groups(all P＜0.05),and Lysholm scores of 20％HG group and 25％HG group increased compared to those before treatment(all P＜0.05).The difference of Lysholm score before and in the 12th week after treatment,and of VAS score before and in the 48th week after treatment of 25％HG group were higher than those of 20％HG group(both P＜0.05).The joint exudation score of 20％HG group decreased in the 48th week after treatment compared to that before treatment(P＜0.05),and the synovial blood flow score decreased in the 12th and 48th weeks after treatment compared to those before treatment(both P＜0.05).The joint exudation score of 25％HG group decreased in the 48th week after treatment compared to that before treatment(P＜0.05),and the synovial hyperplasia and synovial blood flow score decreased in the 12th and 48th weeks after treatment compared to before treatment(all P＜0.05).The joint exudation score of sodium hyaluronate group decreased in the 48th week after treatment compared to that before treatment(P＜0.05),and the synovial hyperplasia score decreased in the 12th and 48th weeks after treatment compared to that before treatment(both P＜0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound-guided intra-articular injection of HG,esp.25％HG,had certain value for treating knee osteoarthritis in plateau area.

Objective:To explore the effects of repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)at different stimulating sessions on upper limb motor function and brain functional connectivity in stroke patients,targeting on stimu-late the contralateral premotor cortex(PMC). Method:Sixty patients with upper limb motor dysfunction after ischemic stroke were randomly assigned to 6-week rTMS group,4-week rTMS group,2-week rTMS group or control group,each with 15 participants.Up-per limb Brunnstrom stage,Fugl-Meyer assessment for upper extremity(FMA-UE)and Wolf motor function test(WMFT)were assessed before and after treatment to evaluate behavioral outcomes.The functional connec-tivity was analyzed by resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging(rs-fMRI)with the contralateral PMC as the seed point. Result:After treatment,the FMA-UE and WMFT scores of the 2-week rTMS group were significantly differ-ent from those of the 4-week and 6-week rTMS groups(P＜0.05),but there was no significant difference be-tween the 4-week rTMS group and the 6-week rTMS group(P＞0.05).Functional connectivity analysis using contralateral PMC as a seed point showed that functional connections were enhanced between contralateral PMC and ipsilateral anterior central gyrus,as well as the contralateral middle temporal gyrus and precuneus af-ter rTMS treatment(P＜0.05). Conclusion:The 4-week rTMS group has the best duration-benefit compared with the 2-week rTMS group and the 6-week rTMS group.The probable mechanism was related to that rTMS treatment could reduce the ef-fect of interhemispheric inhibition on motor cortex,and then enhance the cortico-cortical functional connectivi-ty in the contralateral hemisphere effectively,resulting in the recovery of upper limb motor function.

Objective: To analyze the epidemiological and etiological characteristics of foodborne diseases in Karamay City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from 2018 to 2022, so as to provide insights into formulation of foodborne disease control measures. Methods: Active surveillance data of foodborne disease cases in Karamay City from 2018 to 2022 were collected from Foodborne Disease Monitoring and Reporting System. Population distribution, temporal distribution, spatial distribution, etiological characteristics and history of suspicious food exposure of foodborne diseases were descriptively analyzed. Results: A total of 715 cases with foodborne diseases were reported in Karamay City from 2018 to 2022, and 672 samples were detected, with a sampling rate of 93.99% and a positive rate of 4.17%. Positive rates of detected pathogens showed an increasing trend from 2018 to 2022 (P<0.05). There were 352 men (49.23%) and 363 women (50.77%), 272 cases (38.04%) were at ages of 20 to 39 years, and 225 cases (31.47%) were workers. The detection of foodborne diseases was concentrated during the period between November and December (312 cases, 43.64%), followed by the period between July and August (209 cases, 29.23%). The main clinical symptoms were digestive system symptoms (700 cases, 97.90%). Norovirus were detected (28 cases), while Salmonella, Shigella, Vibrio parahaemolyticus and diarrheagenic Escherichia coli were not detected. The suspicious food exposure was predominantly meat and meat products (211 cases, 29.51%), and the suspicious food exposure place was predominantly at food service establishments (350 cases, 48.95%). Conclusions Foodborne diseases were highly prevalent during the period between November and December and between July and August in Karamay City from 2018 to 2022. Residents at ages of 20 to 39 years and workers are high-risk populations. Meat and meat products are the main suspicious food products and dining places are the main exposed places.

Objective: To investigate the level of health literacy among residents in Karamay City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, so as to provide insights into formulating health promotion strategies. Methods: Based on the Health Literacy Surveillance Program in Karamay City, demographic information and health literacy data were collected from residents aged 15 to 69 years in Karamay City in 2022, and levels of health literacy was analyzed. Factors affecting health literacy were identified using a multivariable logistic regression model. Results: A total of 1 473 respondents were included, with a mean age of (39.62±15.09) years. There were 751 men (50.98%) and 722 women (49.02%). The level of health literacy was 28.31%, and the prevalence rates of basic healthy knowledge and attitudes, healthy lifestyles and behaviors and basic health-related skills were 39.31%, 27.36% and 30.75%, respectively. The prevalence rates of safety and first aid, scientific health outlook, health information, chronic disease prevention, infectious disease prevention and basic medical care were 58.93%, 49.29%, 48.88%, 33.67%, 29.74% and 27.77%, respectively. Multivariable logistic regression analysis identified age (45 to 54 years OR=2.329, 95%CI: 1.005-5.398), ethnicity (ethnic minority, OR=0.459, 95%CI: 0.341-0.617), educational level (primary school and below, OR=0.213, 95%CI: 0.102-0.444; junior high school, OR=0.302, 95%CI: 0.193-0.471; high school, OR=0.579, 95%CI: 0.428-0.784), and annual household income (less than 10 000 Yuan, OR=0.352, 95%CI: 0.199-0.624; 10 000 to 30 000 Yuan, OR=0.447, 95%CI: 0.279-0.717; 30 000 to 50 000 Yuan, OR=0.598, 95%CI: 0.407-0.880) as factors affecting health literacy among residents in Karamay City. Conclusion The level of health literacy was 28.31% among residents in Karamay City in 2022. Health education and promotion should be carried out targeting residents of different ages, ethnicities, educational levels and annual household income, in order to further enhance the level of health literacy among residents in Karamay City.

Objective Summarize domestic and international community health management models and characteristics for elderly hypertensive patients,providing references for the development of community health management in China.Methods Employ literature research to retrieve relevant documents on community health management models for elderly hypertensive pa-tients,and analyze the characteristics and applicability of different models through summarization and comparative analysis.Results In China,community health management models for elderly hypertensive patients include family doctor contracting serv-ices,Hospital-Community-Home health management model,traditional Chinese medicine health management model,"Internet+"health management model,PDCA cycle model,PRECEDE-PROCEED model,and comprehensive community management model.Foreign studies can be categorized into self-management model,Health Rise model,Community Health2(CH2)model,and community pharmacy management model.Conclusion Conducting hypertension health management for elderly patients at the community level is effective,serving as a widely applicable strategy for chronic disease prevention and control.Continued ex-ploration of the scientific and effective aspects of different management models,improving the efficiency and effectiveness of com-munity health management,can contribute more evidence for the formulation of scientific and effective strategies for chronic dis-ease prevention and control.

Objective:To investigate the application effect of case-based learning (CBL) based on the clinical case library of stomatology in standardized residency training for comprehensive stomatology.Methods:A total of 52 residents in Department of Stomatology, Chongqing Medical University, were given CBL teaching based on the clinical case library of comprehensive stomatology, and a questionnaire survey was performed to evaluate the teaching effect. Theoretical and skill assessments were performed before and after CBL teaching, and a comparative analysis was performed. SPSS 19.0 software was used for the t-test. Results:The questionnaire survey showed that CBL teaching based on the clinical case library of stomatology effectively improved the ability of independent learning [92.31% (48/52)], the interest in learning [88.46% (46/52)], and the ability for case diagnosis and the accuracy of investigation and judgment [94.23% (49/52)]. This method helped with the mastery and understanding of the theoretical knowledge in stomatology [96.15% (50/52)] and improved the abilities for expression and communication [84.62% (44/52)] and the ability to find and solve problems [94.23% (49/52)]. It also helped to stimulate the interest in scientific research and teaching [82.69% (43/52)] and create an active classroom atmosphere [82.69% (43/52)]. Among these residents, 94.23% (49/52) liked CBL teaching, and 88.64% (46/52) thought the setting of the case library was reasonable. After the application of CBL teaching, there were significant increases in theoretical score [from (66.74±4.25) points to (81.44±7.16) points] and skill examination score [from (64.00±3.14) points to (81.96±7.50) points].Conclusions:CBL teaching based on the case library of stomatology has a good teaching effect in the standardized residency training for comprehensive stomatology and can not only improve the theoretical and skill assessments of residents, but also improve their learning interest and clinical thinking ability.

This paper summarized the experience of fire needling combined with black cloth ointment in the treatment of keloid. In terms of the pathogenesis of keloid， it is believed that "phlegm causes stasis， and then stasis accumulates into tumors" is the key； the internal obstruction of phlegm and stasis caused by insufficient endowment and invasion of external pathogens is the root of the disease， while the endogenous generation of phlegm and dampness is the branch. It is therefore proposed to explore the etiology and pathogenesis of keloid from the perspective of "phlegm-stasis-tumor"， and the treatment principle is mainly to eliminate phlegm， dispel stasis and dissolve tumors， supplemented with heat-clearing and toxin-resolving. Treatment methods include oral administration of Chinese herbal medicinals and external treatment. Self-made formula for keloid is taken orally， with the main functions of dissolving phlegm， dispelling stasis and clearing heat， to finally dissolve the tumors. For external treatment， fire needling is used to pierce the skin and to open the striae and interstices， and force out the toxin pathogens such as phlegm-heat and stasis-heat with fire power， thereby clearing heat， dissolving phlegm， dispelling stasis and resolving toxins. Black cloth ointment can be used to the affected area to unblock meridians and collaterals， clear heat-toxin and dissolve phlegm-stasis， thereby softening hardness and dissipating masses.

The uPA-uPAR system is highly expressed in various tumor tissues. This system can promote the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins, as well as combine with vitronectin and integrin to transmit intracellular signal transduction. Subsequently, it mediates the occurrence and development of tumors. In recent years, a series of therapeutic programs that target this system has achieved notable results in tumor treatment, and some of them have been under the clinical trial stage, thus providing new ideas for tumor targeted therapy. Therefore, this paper intends to provide a review of research progress on the gene therapy, drug therapy, and immunotherapy targeting uPA-uPAR system.
