Objective: To analyze the influencing factors for anterior tibial artery atherosclerosis among patients with hyperuricemia, so as to provide insights into the prevention of anterior tibial artery atherosclerosis. Methods: Patients aged 18 years and older with hyperuricemia in Dazhou Integrated TCM & Western Medicine Hospital were enrolled as research subjects from 2020 to 2023. Demographic information and blood biochemistry indicators were collected through electronic medical records. Anterior tibial artery atherosclerosis was evaluated by color Doppler ultrasound. Factors affecting anterior tibial artery atherosclerosis among patients with hyperuricemia were analyzed by a multivariable logistic regression model. Results: A total of 1 105 patients with hyperuricemia were surveyed, including 862 males (78.01%) and 243 females (21.99%). There were 918 cases (83.08%) at the ages of 60 years and older, and 457 cases (41.36%) with a course of disease at 10 years and longer. The median level of blood uric acid was 480.79 (interquartile range, 98.28) μmol/L. There were 314 cases (28.42%) with anterior tibial artery atherosclerosis. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that body mass index (≥24.0 kg/m2, OR=1.597, 95%CI: 1.185-2.151), long-term smoking history (yes, OR=1.709, 95%CI: 1.153-2.534), diabetes mellitus (yes, OR=1.517, 95%CI: 1.162-1.981), serum uric acid (≥480.79 μmol/L, OR=1.667, 95%CI: 1.131-2.457), serum creatinine (≥97 μmol/L, OR=1.685, 95%CI: 1.155-2.460), fasting blood glucose (≥6.1 mmol/L, OR=1.528, 95%CI: 1.106-2.112), fibrinogen (>4 g/L, OR=1.589, 95%CI: 1.091-2.315) and triglycerides (≥1.7 mmol/L, OR=1.879, 95%CI: 1.226-2.881) were influencing factors for anterior tibial artery atherosclerosis among patients with hyperuricemia. Conclusion Anterior tibial artery atherosclerosis among patients with hyperuricemia is associated with long-term smoking, diabetes mellitus, serum uric acid, serum creatinine, fasting blood glucose, fibrinogen and triglycerides high level.

AIM: To delineate the specific mutation responsible for retinitis pigmentosa(RP)in a Yi pedigree, and to analyze the correlation of RHO gene mutation with clinical phenotype.METHODS:A comprehensive clinical evaluation was conducted on the proband diagnosed with RP and other familial members, complemented by a thorough ophthalmic examination. Peripheral blood samples were obtained from the proband and familial members, from which genomic DNA was extracte. Subsequent whole exome sequencing(WES)was employed to identify the variant genes in the proband. The identified variant gene was validated through Sanger sequencing, then an in-depth analysis of the mutation genes was carried out using genetic databases to ascertain the pathogenic mutation sites. Furthermore, an exhaustive analysis was performed to delineate the genotype and phenotype characteristics.RESULTS:The RP pedigree encompasses 5 generations with 42 members, including 19 males and 23 females. A total of 13 cases of RP were identified, consisting of 4 males and 9 females, which conforms to the autosomal dominant inheritance pattern. The clinical features of this family include an early onset age, rapid progression, and a more severe condition. The patients were found to have night blindness around 6 years old, representing the earliest reported case of night blindness in RP families. The retina was manifested by progressive osteocytoid pigmentation of the fundus, a reduced visual field, and significantly decreased or even vanished a and b amplitudes of ERG. The combined results of WES and Sanger sequencing indicated that the proband had a heterozygous missense mutation of the RHO gene c.1040C>T:p.P347L, where the 1 040 base C of cDNA was replaced by T, causing codon 347 to encode leucine instead of proline. Interestingly, this mutation has not been reported in the Chinese population.CONCLUSION:This study confirmed that the mutant gene of RP in a Yi nationality pedigree was RHO(c.1040C>T). This variant leads to the change of codon 347 from encoding proline to encoding leucine, resulting in a severe clinical phenotype among family members. This study provides a certain molecular, clinical, and genetic basis for genetic counseling and gene diagnosis of RHO.

Objective:To implement an overview of systematic reviews on the effects of brain-computer interface training on upper limb functional rehabilitation in stroke patients.Methods:The systematic review/Meta-analysis of the effect of brain-computer interface training on upper limb functional rehabilitation in stroke patients was electronically retrieved in PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, CINAHL, Embase, Joanna Briggs Institute Evidence-Based Health Care Center Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data, VIP and China Biology Medicine disc. The search period was from database establishment to November 2024. Two researchers independently performed literature screening and data extraction and evaluated the quality of methodology, reporting, and evidence.Results:A total of 14 systematic reviews/Meta-analyses were included. The results showed that brain-computer interface training helped to improve upper limb motor function, muscle strength and activities of daily living in stroke patients, but the rehabilitative effect on muscle spasm needed to be further confirmed.Conclusions:Brain-computer interface training helps to improve upper limb motor function, muscle strength and activities of daily living in stroke patients. However, the methodological quality and reporting quality of the current studies are poor, and there is still a need for high-quality studies with rigorous design and standardized process to provide reference for clinical practice.

Glaesserella parasuis is the causative agent of Gl?sser's disease in pigs.However,the pathogenic mechanisms underlying its virulence is not yet fully understood.The RuvB protein,a member of the AAA+superfamily,is implicated in various cellular processes,yet its specific role in the virulence of Glaesserella parasuis has not been fully characterized.In this study,we con-structed a RuvB gene deletion mutant,designated ΔRuvB,using the serotype 13 Glaesserella pa-rasuis strain ZJ1208 and a suicide plasmid-mediated natural transformation approach.To elucidate the functional role of the RuvB gene,we comprehensively evaluated the biological characteristics of the ΔRuvB strain through a series of assays,including growth kinetics,colony morphology,bac-terial staining,transmission electron microscopy(TEM),osmotic stress tolerance,high-tempera-ture tolerance,heat shock resistance,UV resistance,capsular polysaccharide quantification,serum bactericidal assays,and murine virulence experiments.Our findings revealed that the growth rate of ΔRuvB showed no significant difference compared to the parental strain.TEM revealed a notable increase in bacterial cell length;however,the number of outer membrane vesicles(OMVs)on the surface of ΔRuvB did not significantly increase.Notably,the ΔRuvB strain displayed a significant reduction in capsular polysaccharide production and serum resistance,as well as diminished toler-ance to UV radiation and high temperatures.Significant alterations were observed in its resistance to osmotic stress or oxidative stress.In the mouse toxicity challenge experiment,in com-parison with the parental strain ZJ1208,the mortality rate dropped by 20 percentage points,suggesting that the virulence of ΔRuvB has been weakened to some extent.Collectively,these results underscore the critical role of the RuvB gene in enhancing the environmental adaptability of Glaesserella parasuis.

Objective To explore the effect of CB-103 on pyroptosis in oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)cells via the reactive oxygen species(ROS)/caspase-3/gasdermin-E(GSDME)signaling pathway.Methods The OSCC cell line SCC-7 was treated with varying concentrations of CB-103(0,20,40,60,80,and 100 μg/mL).The proliferation activity of CB-103 cells was measured using cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)assay.The cell migration was assessed using a wound-healing assay.Morphological changes in the cells were observed under an inverted microscope.Western blotting was performed to evaluate the protein expression of GSDME,GSDME-N ter-minal,and cleaved caspase-3.ATP release was measured using an ATP detection kit.The levels of intracellular high-mobility group box 1(HMGB1)and ROS were quantified by immunofluorescence.Results Compared to the control group,CB-103 inhibited the proliferation and migration of SCC-7 cells.Additionally,CB-103 increased ROS levels and upregulated the expression of cleaved caspase-3 protein.Furthermore,CB-103 promoted the cleavage of GSDME and increased the number of GSDME-N terminal fragments(all P＜0.05),thereby inducing pyroptosis in SCC-7 cells.Conclusion CB-103 promotes pyroptosis in OSCC cells by activating the ROS/caspase-3/GSDME pathway.

Dual-source computed tomography(CT)has a series of functions such as rapid scanning,cardiac imaging,multi-site imaging and spectral imaging,and it has the advantages of high image quality and low radiation dose.The timely maintenance and repair can ensure the stable operation of equipment,and guarantee smooth progress of clinical examinations,and provide reliable basis for the diagnosis and treatment to patients.This paper sorted out and analyzed the mechanical structure about the SOMATOM Force CT equipment from three parts:operation and control,data acquisition,and processing and transmission.It also analyzed the correlation between the mechanical structure and functions around the key components such as X-ray tubes,detectors,collimators,slip rings and high-voltage generators,and clarified the role of each component in CT imaging.In general,this paper summarized the troubleshooting ideas and the key points of maintenance and repair for the mechanical faults of the SOMATOM Force CT scanning bed,cooling device and slip ring,which can accumulate the practical experience in improving the guarantee ability of engineers.

The aim of this paper was to investigate the serotypes,virulence factors and drug resist-ance of clinical isolates of Pasteurella rnultocida of porcine origin in recent years.Morphological screening and polymerase chain reaction(PCR)were used to isolate and identify 119 isolates from nasal swabs and lung tissue samples sent from swine farms in Zhejiang Province from 2010 to 2024.The isolates of Pasteurella multocida were subjected to capsular polysaccharide serotyping,lipopolysaccharide serotyping,virulence factor detection and drug resistance analysis by PCR and Kirby-Bauer disc agar diffusion method(K-B).The results showed that there were 64 strains(53.7％)of A-type,54 strains(45.3％)of D-type and 1 strain(0.9％)of F-type among the capsu-lar polysaccharide serotypes,and 10 strains(8.4％)of L1-type,20 strains(16.8％)of L3-type,86 strains(72.2％)of L6-type,and 3 strains(2.6％)of undetermined type among the lipopolysaccha-ride serotypes.The amplification results of 10 virulence genes showed that the detection rate of virulence genes hgbA,higbB and fimA was over 86.0％,the detection rate of toxA was 8.4％,while the virulence gene tbpA was not detected.There were also differences in the distribution vir-ulence genes in different capsular polysaccharide serotypes.Virulence factor pfhA was detected in type A and F but not in type D.The detection rate of adhesin gene tadD in serotype A(92.2％)was significantly higher than that of type D(9.3％),and,on the contrary,the detection rate of ad-hesin gene hsf-l in serotype D(90.7％)was significantly higher than that of type A(20.3％).Drug resistance analysis revealed that Pasteurella multocida showed high susceptibility to antimi-crobial drugs such as amoxicillin,ampicillin,cephalosporins,doxycycline,fosfenicol and ciprofloxa-cin,and showed strong resistance to antimicrobial drugs such as lincomycin,cotrimoxazole,genta-micin and amikacin,and there were 54 multi-drug resistant strains(78.3％).In summary,capsular polysaccharide serotypes were dominated by type A and D,lipopolysaccharide serotypes were dom-inated by L6,the distribution of some virulence genes varied greatly among different serotypes,and the proportion of multi-resistant strains was high,which provide reference for the prevention and control of this disease.
