Porcine hemagglutinating encephalomyelitis virus(PHEV),a betacoronavirus with a sin-gle-stranded,positive-sense RNA genome,is an important pathogen in the swine industry. It causes porcine hemagglutinating encephalomyelitis(PHE),presenting with symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, neurological symptoms, and respiratory distress, particularly in piglets. The virus is asso-ciated with high mortality rates and growth stunting in subclinical cases.PHEV has a well-docu-mented global distribution, with occurrences reported across Europe,South America,North Amer-ica,and East Asia, posing a considerable challenge to the swine industry. This review aims to pro-vide a comprehensive overview of PHE's virological characteristics, epidemiology, clinical and pathological manifestations, mechanisms of infection and pathogenicity, and the current state of di-agnostic techniques. It further evaluates advancements in vaccine and antiviral development,along-side comprehensive prevention and control strategies, contextualized within the framework of the latest foundational research.

Objective:To explore the core factors of self-management and quality of life (QOL) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and the internal relationship between these two constructs. Methods:A convenience sampling method was used to enroll 210 COPD patients who visited the Fifth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University from January to December 2022. Data were collected using Self-Management Scale and 36-item Short-Form. A relationship network between self-management and QOL was constructed via network analysis, and centrality indicators and network stability were calculated. Results:A total of 210 questionnaires were distributed, and 205 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 97.6%. Emotional management was identified as the core node in both the overall network and the self-management subnetwork (2.064), while vitality was the core node in the QOL subnetwork (0.730). The relationship between self-management and QOL was mainly manifested through the strong association between emotional management and role-emotion.Conclusions:Emotional management is the core factor in the relationship between self-management and QOL in COPD patients. The overall network of self-management and QOL is influenced by the strong association between emotional management and role-emotion.

Designation of ideological and political teaching of Medical Immunology courses focuses on"cultivate talent for Party and the State",and adheres to goal of"build morality and cultivate people".From perspective of big ideology and politics, with basic foundation of"major guiding, disciplines supporting and curriculum shaping",principle of"six combinations"is applied to con-struct ideological and political cases of Medical Immunology courses,to create an infiltrating teaching pattern, which simultaneously cultivate talent for the Party and the State, and forms a synergistic effect of professional course learning and ideological and political learning.

Objective:To construct analytical dimensions for policy texts related to the pilot work of Health Impact Assessment (HIA) system in Zhejiang Province and conduct quantitative analysis, thereby providing references for improving the pilot work. Methods:Policy texts issued by Zhejiang Province between February 11, 2018, and February 29, 2024, which involved HIA content, were selected. The policy instruments theory was employed to construct an analytical framework around the dimensions of policy instruments, policy objectives, policy actors, and the interactions between policy instruments and policy objectives, and between policy instruments and policy actors. Based on this framework, a combination of literature analysis and content analysis was used to conduct a multi-dimensional quantitative analysis of the policy texts related to the pilot work of HIA system in Zhejiang Province. Results:Fifty core policy texts were included and 1 588 codes were obtained. In terms of policy instruments, environmental-type instruments were the most widely used (852 items), with internal responsibilities and methodological measures being the most frequently used; supply-type instruments were the second most used (459 items), with mechanism improvement being the most frequently used; demand-type instruments were the least used (277 items), with multi-stakeholder participation being the most frequently used. In terms of policy objectives, the objective of system construction dominated (701 articles, accounting for 56.45%), while the proportion of policy coverage, evaluation technology, and effectiveness evaluation was relatively low. In terms of policy subjects, the Party committee and government were the main policy subjects (434 articles, accounting for 39.20%), followed by health departments and public policy-making departments, while the proportion of public health institutions and social forces was extremely low. In the interaction between policy instruments and policy objectives, policy coverage, system construction, and effectiveness evaluation objectives all responded most frequently to environmental-type instruments, while the evaluation technology objectives responded more frequently to supply-type instruments. In the interaction between policy instruments and policy subjects, the Party committee and government played a dominant role in the use of policy instruments, with the health department and public policy-making department in the middle. Conclusions:The pilot work of the HIA system in Zhejiang Province presented a " environment-driven, system-construction-priority, Party-committee-and-government-led" policy characteristic. The main challenges were the imbalanced structure of policy instruments, insufficient synergy among policy objectives, and the need for greater participation of multiple stakeholders.

Ischemic stroke (IS) is a globally life-threatening disease. Presently, few therapeutic medicines are available for treating IS, and rt-PA is the only drug approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US. In fact, many agents showing excellent neuroprotection but no blood flow-improving activity in animals have not achieved ideal clinical efficacy, while thrombolytic drugs only improving blood flow without neuroprotection have limited their wider application. To address these challenges and meet the huge unmet clinical need, we have designed and identified a novel compound AAPB with dual effects of neuroprotection and cerebral blood flow improvement. AAPB significantly reduced cerebral infarction and neural function deficit in tMCAO rats, pMCAO rats, and IS rhesus monkeys, as well as displayed exceptional safety profiles and excellent pharmacokinetic properties in rats and dogs. AAPB has now entered phase I of clinical trials fighting IS in China.

Objective To explore the application effect of key point nursing from the perspective of cluster analysis in preventing complications among patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI)undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods A total of 97 AMI patients who un-derwent PCI in the cardiology department of our hospital from March 2022 to October 2023 were se-lected and divided into control group with 51 patients(March to December 2022)and observation group with 46 patients(January to October 2023)based on their admission time. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received key point nursing from the perspective of cluster analysis. The emergency nursing conditions, occurrence of complications during hospitaliza-tion,major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE),and satisfaction of patients were compared be-tween the two groups. Results The door-to-balloon(D2B)time,results of time to myocardial injury markers, and length of hospital stay were shorter in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence rates of reperfusion arrhythmia during surgery, total vascular com-plications after surgery, unplanned extubation, and total MACE within 6 months after surgery were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The overall satisfaction rate with nursing in the observation group was 95.65%(44/46),which was higher than 82.35%(42/51)in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Key point nursing from the perspective of cluster analysis can shorten the rescue time and length of hospital stay for patients undergoing PCI,reduce the incidence of vascular complications and MACE during hospitalization, and improve satis-faction of patients.
