In this paper, the causes of dimethylacetamide poisoning in a small and micro enterprise were analyzed through on-site occupational health investigation, clinical data summary of poisoned patients and occupational hazard factors detection results. The incident was a group poisoning incident caused by exposure to dimethylacetamide, resulting in different degrees of toxic liver disease in 6 workers. Although the concentration of dimethylacetamide in the air in the workplace was excessive, percutaneous absorption may be the main cause of poisoning. The characteristics of percutaneous absorption of dimethylacetamide need to be paid great attention to, which can be used for reference to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Objective:To analyze the diversity of Duffy blood group gene among ethnic Hui population from Henan Province using PacBio long-read sequencing technique. Methods:Randomly select 30 individuals with three generations of Hui ancestry from Henan as the study subjects. Full-length sequences of the Duffy blood group gene were obtained through PacBio long-read sequencing. Distribution of the predicted phenotype and genotype frequency were determined, and the linkage between Duffy haplotypes and variation sites was analyzed. Genetic diversity, natural selection pressure, and population genetic characteristics were evaluated. This study was approved by the Medical Ethics Committee of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University (Ethics No. 202223).Results:The predicted Duffy blood group phenotype in the Henan Hui population was predominantly Fy(a+ b-). Three novel SNPs in the FY*01 allele were identified, with a total frequency of 13.33%, among which FY*01.NEW1 (c.199C>T) was the most common. A total of 32 variant sites were identified, with 28 located in intronic regions, indicating that genetic diversity was primarily concentrated in introns. The Duffy blood group gene was under negative selection pressure ( dN/ dS < 1, Tajima′s D, Fu and Li′s D*& F* significantly deviated from 0), suggesting overall conservation. The allele frequencies of Duffy blood group in the Henan Hui population was similar to that of the Xinjiang Hui, Xinjiang Kazakh, Inner Mongolia Mongolian, and Yuncheng Han populations, but significantly different from those of most Han and other ethnic groups ( P<0.05). Conclusion:This study revealed the characteristics of the Duffy blood group gene among the Henan Hui population and demonstrated the significant advantages of PacBio long-read sequencing technique in haplotype analysis, genetic diversity study, and novel mutation identification.

Objective:To systematically evaluate the impact of internet-based patient decision aid (PtDA) on decision-making for prenatal screening and diagnosis among pregnant women. Methods:Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the application of internet-based PtDA for prenatal screening and diagnosis among pregnant women were searched in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Date, VIP, and China Biology Medicine disc. The search period was from inception to August 11, 2024. Two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted data, and assessed the quality of included studies. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4 software. Results:A total of 10 studies involving 3 838 pregnant women were included. The meta-analysis showed that internet-based PtDA significantly reduced decision conflict ( P<0.05), improved decision knowledge ( P<0.01), and decreased decision anxiety ( P<0.05) among pregnant women but had no significant impact on decision regret ( P>0.05) . Conclusions:Internet-based PtDA effectively reduce decision conflict and anxiety while improving decision knowledge during prenatal screening and diagnostic decision-making. Future studies should focus on developing culturally appropriate decision aids tailored to the Chinese context and explore the enhanced role of nurses in prenatal screening counseling.

Chronic chloropropene poisoning is a disease mainly caused by peripheral nerve damage due to close contact with chloropropene in industrial production, its clinical manifestations include varying degrees of sensory, motor, or tendon reflex disorders in the distal limbs, and neuromyography can show neurogenic damage. This article analyzed and summarized the clinical characteristics, diagnosis and treatment methods of three patients with occupational chronic chloropropene poisoning, in order to enhance the clinical understanding of occupational chronic chloropropene poisoning and provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

【Objective】 To investigate the expression of optineurin (OPTN) in multiple myeloma (MM) and explore the mechanism and clinical value of OPTN gene in the occurrence and development of MM. 【Methods】 In this study, three gene expression omnibus (GEO) data sets were used to analyze the expression level of OPTN in MM. Clinical bone marrow samples of MM patients were collected. qRT-PCR was used to further verify the expression of OPTN in MM patients. The Kaplan-Meier survival curve and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were used to analyze the value of OPTN in the prognosis and diagnosis of MM. At the same time, MM transcriptome data were downloaded from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. According to the median boundary of OPTN mRNA expression level, the MM patients were divided into OPTN high- and low-expression groups. In order to investigate the possible molecular mechanisms of OPTN in MM, gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was made after the differentially expressed genes were filtered using the limma package of the R language. 【Results】 The expression level of OPTN was significantly lower in MM tissues than in normal tissues (P<0.05). OPTN expression level was significantly correlated with International Staging System (ISS) in MM patients (P<0.05). ROC results showed that the expression level of OPTN could distinguish between normal and MM patients. Survival analysis showed that the overall survival (OS) of patients with low OPTN expression was significantly lower than that of patients with high OPTN expression (P<0.05). GO, KEGG and GSEA enrichment analyses indicated that OPTN might affect apoptosis and autophagy, and regulate cellular immune response by regulating Nod-like receptors, NF-κB, TNF and RAS/MAPK pathways. 【Conclusion】 Low expression of OPTN in MM is associated with poor prognosis of patients, and thus may be an important potential biomarker for the diagnosis and treatment of MM.
