Objective: To explore the regulatory role of paternal involvement in parenting in the association between parental adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and autism like behavioral problems in children aged 3-6, so as to provide a basis for intervention strategies targeting the intergenerational health effects of ACEs. Methods: A longitudinal study design was used to select 1 780 children aged 3-6 from 12 kindergartens in Wuhu City, Anhui Province in June 2021 as the subjects of the baseline survey by convenient sampling, and the follow up surveys were conducted once every six months, for a total of two follow ups. Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the association of parental ACEs and paternal involvement in parenting with autism like behavioral problems in children. A binary Logistic regression model was used to explore the association between parental ACEs and autism like behavioral problems in children. Based on stratification, the potential role of paternal involvement in the association between parental ACEs and autism like behavioral problems in children aged 3-6 was explored. Results: Autism like behavioral problem score in children aged 3-6 was positively correlated with the total score ACEs of parents as well as scores of emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional neglect, physical neglect, community violence, peer bullying, and family dysfunction( r =0.18,0.16,0.18,0.14,0.06,0.05,0.12,0.18,0.09,all P <0.05). Autism like behavioral problem score in children was negatively correlated with score of paternal involvement in parenting( r =-0.16, P <0.01). After adjusting for covariates such as gender, age, and birth weight of children, binary Logistic regression analysis showed that children whose parents had experiences of childhood emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, community violence, peer bullying, or family dysfunction had higher risks of developing autism like behavioral problems than those in the non exposed group ( OR =3.29, 3.28, 6.71, 2.34, 4.08, 2.02, all P <0.01). In the group with low paternal involvement in parenting, all dimensions of parental ACEs(emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, community violence, peer bullying, and family dysfunction) were significantly associated with an increased risk of autism like behavioral problems in children ( OR =1.84-8.34, all P <0.05). In contrast, in the group with high paternal involvement in parenting, no statistically significant associations were found between any dimension of parental ACEs and children s autism like behavioral problems ( OR =0.57-1.82, all P >0.05). Conclusion A high level of paternal involvement in parenting can reduce the adverse effects of parental ACEs on the occurrence of autism like behaviors in preschool children.

Objective To analyze the application of NCompass nitinol stone retrieval basket in ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy, and to evaluate its roles in reducing stone retropulsion and improving stone-free rate(SFR)and stone acquisition rate.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of patients with upper ureteral stones＞1 cm who underwent ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy at China-Japan Friendship Hospital during Jan.2018 and Dec.2023, including 96 cases were in the NCompass group, and 68 cases in the non-basket group.The operation time, stone retropulsion rate, usage rate of flexible ureteroscopy, SFR and stone acquisition rate were compared between the two groups.Results There were no significant differences in the operation time [(29.2±8.4)min vs.(30.9±7.2)min, P=0.170] and stone retropulsion rate(15.6% vs. 27.9%, P=0.055)between the NCompass group and non-basket group.The NCompass group had significantly lower usage rate of flexible ureteroscopy than the non-basket group(24.0% vs. 47.1%, P=0.002), higher SFR 2 days(80.2% vs. 45.6%, P＜0.001)and 1 month(93.8% vs. 83.8%, P=0.040)after operation, as well as the stone acquisition rates 2 days(100% vs. 44.1%, P＜0.001)and 1 month(100% vs. 58.8%, P＜0.001)after operation. Conclusion The NCompass nitinol stone retrieval basket plays dual roles in ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy, which can effectively intercept stones and extract stone fragments, thus significantly improving the SFR and stone acquisition rate, and reducing stone retropulsion and the use of flexible ureteroscopy.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of pinworm infections among kindergarten children and the effectiveness of health interventions among teachers and parents in Gaoyou City, so as to provide insights into optimization of enterobiasis control strategies. Methods From September to November each year from 2023 to 2025, Gaoyou City’s 57 kindergartens were divided into five zones based on the five cardinal directions: east, west, south, north, and center. At least one kindergarten was randomly selected as a survey site in each zone, with a minimum of 200 children surveyed per site. The transparent adhesive tape anal swab method was used to detect pinworm infection in the surveyed children, while the transparent adhesive tape sticking method was employed to assess pinworm egg contamination in the children’s home and classroom environments. Concurrently, health education interventions were conducted for kindergarten teachers and parents. Additionally, self-administered questionnaires were administered to teachers and parents to evaluate children’s hygiene behaviors and the awareness rates of pinworm prevention knowledge among teachers and parents before and after the health education interventions. Results From 2023 to 2025, a total of 1 939 children from nine kindergartens in Gaoyou City were tested for pinworm infection, with two cases detected, resulting in an overall infection rate of 0.10% (2/1 939). No pinworm eggs were found in the samples from the children’s families or classroom environments. In public kindergartens, the proportions of children practicing the four hygiene habits, namely “handwashing after defecation” [96.10% (1 305/1 358) vs. 74.65% (212/284); χ² = 153.646, P < 0.05], “regular nail trimming” [92.93% (1 262/1 358) vs. 77.82% (221/284); χ² = 61.349, P < 0.05], “not biting toys or pencils” [88.14% (1 197/1 358) vs. 76.76% (218/284); χ² = 25.549, P < 0.05], and “showering twice or more per week” [89.03% (1 209/1 358) vs. 74.65% (212/284); χ² = 41.699, P < 0.05], were all higher than those in private kindergartens. Before health education intervention, the awareness rates of pinworm prevention knowledge among teachers in public and private kindergartens were 86.89% (53/61) and 75.00% (21/28), respectively, with no statistically significant difference (χ² = 1.935, P > 0.05). The awareness rates among parents of children in public and private kindergartens were 64.73% (879/1 358) and 57.39% (163/284), respectively, showing a statistically significant difference (χ² = 5.447, P < 0.05). After the intervention, the awareness rates among teachers in public and private kindergartens increased to 96.72% (59/61) and 82.14% (23/28), respectively, while those among parents rose to 88.95% (1 208/1 358) and 77.81% (221/284), both with statistically significant differences (χ² = 5.628 and 25.808, both P < 0.05). Among the questionnaire items, teachers [32.58% (29/89)] and parents [26.00% (427/1 642)] had the lowest overall awareness rate regarding the “main reasons for the difficulty in preventing and controlling pinworm disease”. After the intervention, these rates increased to 77.53% (69/89) and 70.77% (1 162/1 642), respectively. Conclusions The prevalence of pinworm infection in kindergarten children in Gaoyou City is at a low level. Health intervention can effectively improve the knowledge level of teachers and parents on the prevention and treatment of pinworm disease, but further efforts are needed to strengthen the health education and management of pinworm disease in private kindergartens.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the mechanism of Shenling baizhu san （SLBZS） in ameliorating ulcerative colitis （UC）. METHODS Mice were randomly divided into normal group， model group， and low-， medium-， high-dose SLBZS groups （3， 6， 12 g/kg）， with 10 mice in each group. Except for the normal group， mice in other groups were given free access to 3% dextran sulfate sodium solution for 7 days to establish UC models. Simultaneously， mice in each group were intragastrically administered corresponding medicinal liquid or double-distilled water once a day for consecutive 7 days. After the last administration， the histopathological morphology of colon tissues was observed； the serum levels of inflammatory factors including tumor necrosis factor-α （TNF-α）， interleukin-1β （IL-1β） and IL-18 were detected； the total bile acid contents in liver， gallbladder and colon tissues were determined； the expression level of NOD-like receptor family pyrin domain-containing protein 3 （NLRP3） in colon tissues was tested. The expression levels of flora metabolism-related proteins [G protein-coupled receptor 41（GPR41），GPR43，farnesoid X receptor （FXR）， G protein-coupled bile acid receptor 1 （TGR5）， flavin-containing monooxygenase 3 （FMO3）， cytochrome P450 family 27 subfamily A member 1 （CYP27A1）， CYP7A1] in liver or colon tissues， as well as the proteins related to Toll-like receptor 4 （TLR4）/nuclear factor-κB （NF-κB）/NLRP3 inflammatory axis [TLR4， NF-κB， phosphorylated NF-κB （p-NF-κB）， myeloid differentiation factor 88 （MyD88）， NLRP3， apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD （ASC）， caspase-1] in colon tissues were measured. RESULTS Compared with the model group， the colon tissue injury and inflammatory cell infiltration were alleviated in medium- and high-dose SLBZS groups. The serum levels of TNF-α， IL-1β and IL-18， total bile acid contents in liver and colon tissues， as well as the protein expression levels of FMO3 and CYP7A1 in liver tissues， TLR4， p-NF-κB， NF-κB， MyD88， NLRP3， ASC and caspase-1 in colon tissues were significantly decreased （P＜0.05）. Meanwhile， the total bile acid content in gallbladder， the protein expression levels of GPR41 and GPR43 in colon tissues， along with CYP27A1， FXR and TGR5 in liver tissues were significantly increased （P＜0.05）. CONCLUSIONS SLBZS may relieve colonic inflammatory injury and ameliorate UC by regulating the expression of flora metabolism-related proteins and inhibiting the abnormal activation of TLR4/NF-κB/NLRP3 inflammatory axis.

Objective To observe the effects of electroacupuncture at"Neiguan"and"Gongsun"on autophagy and apoptosis related indexes of interstitial cells of Cajal(ICC)in rats with functional dyspepsia(FD);To explore its possible mechanism on improving gastrointestinal motility of FD.Methods Totally 32 SPF grade SD rats were randomly divided into blank group,model group,electroacupuncture group and Western medicine group,with 8 rats in each group.An FD model was constructed using a composite etiology modeling method.The electroacupuncture group received electroacupuncture at"Neiguan"and"Gongsun",while the Western medicine group received oral administration of mosapride once a day for 7 consecutive days.The general condition,body mass and average daily intake of rats were observed every week,and gastric emptying rate and small intestine propulsion rate were detected,transmission electron microscopy was used to observe the structure of gastric antrum ICC,Western blot was used to observe the expressions of c-kit,Beclin1,LC3Ⅱ/Ⅰ,p62,Caspase-3 protein in gastric antrum tissue,qPCR was used to observe the mRNA expressions of Beclin1,LC3Ⅱ/Ⅰ,p62 and c-kit in gastric antrum tissue,TUNEL staining was used to detect the apoptosis rate of cells in gastric antrum tissue.Results Compared with the blank group,the model group rats were mentally lethargic,clustered and curled up,with reduced activity,rough and dull hair,loose and unformed feces,reduced body mass and daily food intake(P<0.05),and gastric emptying rate and small intestine propulsion rate decreased(P<0.01),ICC mitochondria swelled and dissolved,with varying degrees of vacuolar formation,rough endoplasmic reticulum dilation and destruction,and a large number of autophagosomes,the expressions of Beclin1 and LC3 Ⅱ/Ⅰ protein and mRNA in gastric antrum tissue increased(P<0.01),the expressions of p62,c-kit protein and mRNA decreased(P<0.01),while Caspase-3 protein expression increased(P<0.01),and the apoptosis rate of gastric antral tissue cells increased(P<0.01).Compared with the model group,the condition of rats in electroacupuncture group and the Western medicine group were improved,with increased responsiveness,increased mobility,neat hair,formed feces,increased body mass and daily food intake(P<0.01),and gastric emptying rate and small intestine propulsion rate increase(P<0.01),a normal ICC structure,and a small amount of autophagosomes were still visible,the expressions of Beclin1,LC3Ⅱ/Ⅰ protein and mRNA in gastric antrum tissue decreased(P<0.01),the expressions of p62,c-kit protein and mRNA increased(P<0.01),while Caspase-3 protein expression decreased(P<0.01),and the apoptosis rate of gastric antral tissue cells decreased(P<0.01).There was no statistically significant difference in various indicators between electroacupuncture group and Western medicine group(P>0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture at"Neiguan"and"Gongsun"can restore the number and structure of ICC and improve gastrointestinal motility,and its mechanism may be related to the inhibition of autophagy and apoptosis levels.

Objective:To investigate the correlation between thyroid function and the total cerebral small vessel disease score in the elderly.Methods:This cross-sectional study included elderly people who underwent physical examinations at the Geriatrics Department of Beijing Hospital from April 2019 to December 2020. Participants were devided into 5 groups based on the total score of cerebral small vessel disease: 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4. General clinical data were collected through physical examination reports and outpatient medical records. All participants underwent a 3T brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), scan and data were collected to calculate the total cerebral small vessel disease score. Fasting venous blood samples were taken in the morning to measure thyroid hormone levels. Relationships between thyroid hormone levels and lacunar infarcts, microbleeds, white matter hyperintensities (WMH), enlarged perivascular spaces, and total cerebral small vessel disease score were analyzed using Spearman correlation. Multivariate ordinal logistic regression was also used to analyze factors associated with total cerebral small vessel disease score.Results:A total of 545 elderly individuals were included, with a mean age of (75.16±9.18) years, and 505 (92.7%) were male. The number of subjects with a total cerebral small vessel disease score of 0 were 207 (38.0%), 1 were 182 (33.4%), 2 were 99 (18.2%), 3 were 41 (7.5%), and 4 were 16 (2.9%). Statistical significant differences were found in age, fasting blood glucose, systolic blood pressure, triiodothyronine (TT3), free triiodothyronine (FT3), and the proportion of hypertensive patients among the groups (all P<0.05). Spearman correlation analysis showed that TT3 ( r=-0.138, P=0.001) and FT3 ( r=-0.213, P<0.001) were negatively correlated with total cerebral small vessel disease score. Multivariate ordinal logistic regression analysis revealed that age was independently and positively associated with total cerebral small vessel disease score ( OR=1.139, 95% CI: 1.087-1.193, P<0.001), while FT3 was independently and negatively associated with total cerebral small vessel disease score ( OR=0.331, 95% CI: 0.118-0.929, P=0.009). Conclusion:In the elderly population, FT3 levels are independently and negatively associated with total cerebral small vessel disease score.

Objective: To investigate the mediating role of children s sleep quality in the association between mother-child relationship and the executive function of preschool children, providing a reference for promoting the development of the executive function of preschool children. Methods: A stratified cluster sampling method was used to select 842 preschoolers from 12 kindergartens in Wuhu City, Anhui Province in December 2021 as the subjects of the first follow up study with follow up every six months thereafter. Finally, 746 children were included in the study after 3 follow up. Spearman correlation analysis was used to explore the associations among mother-child relationship, sleep quality and executive function in preschool children. Bootstrap program and PROCESS software were applied to test the mediating effect of sleep quality in the association between mother-child relationship and the executive function of preschool children. Results: Conflictual mother-child relationship was positively correlated with the total score of executive function, as well as scores of inhibitory, shifting, emotional control, working memory, and organizational planning ( r=0.40, 0.37, 0.36, 0.41, 0.38 , 0.34, all P <0.05). Dependent mother-child relationship was positively correlated with the total score of executive function, as well as scores of inhibitory, shifting, emotional control, working memory , and organizational planning ( r=0.23, 0.20, 0.21, 0.22 , 0.22, 0.19, all P <0.05). Sleep quality was positively correlated with the total executive function score ( r=0.27, P <0.01). After adjusting for confounding factors, sleep quality played a partial mediating role in the associations between dependent and conflictual mother-child relationships and executive function, the mediating effects were 19.40% and 11.22% respectively. Conclusions Sleep quality plays a mediating role in the association between mother-child relationship and the executive function of preschool children. Improving sleep quality in the early stage can promote the executive function of preschool children.

In 2022， Hainan provincial government launched the project for the prevention and control of viral hepatitis with the goals of a hepatitis B screening rate of 90%， a diagnostic rate of 90%， and a treatment rate of 80% among people aged 18 years and above by the year 2025， and the main intervention measures include population-based prevention， case screening， antiviral therapy， and health management. As of December 31， 2024， a total of 6.875 million individuals in the general population had been screened for hepatitis B， with a screening rate of 95.6%. A total of 184 710 individuals with positive HBsAg were identified， among whom 156 772 were diagnosed through serological reexamination， resulting in a diagnostic rate of 84.9%. A total of 50 742 patients with chronic hepatitis B were identified， among whom 42 921 had hepatitis B-specific health records established for health management， with a file establishment rate of 84.6%. A total of 31 553 individuals received antiviral therapy， with a treatment rate of 62.2%. A total of 2.503 million individuals at a high risk of hepatitis C were screened， among whom 4 870 tested positive for HCV antibody and 3 858 underwent HCV RNA testing， resulting in a diagnostic rate of 79.2%， and 1 824 individuals with positive HCV RNA were identified， among whom 1 194 received antiviral therapy， with a treatment rate of 65.5%. In addition， 159 301 individuals with negative HBsAg and anti-HBs and an age of 20 — 40 years were inoculated with hepatitis B vaccine free of charge. Through the implementation of the project for the prevention and control of viral hepatitis， a large number of hepatitis patients have been identified， treated， and managed in the province within a short period of time， which significantly accelerates the efforts to eliminate the crisis of viral hepatitis.

BACKGROUND: Urolithiasis is a widespread disease with a high prevalence worldwide. This study aims to evaluate the disease burden of urolithiasis and its trends from 1990 to 2021 globally, based on the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD) 2021 database. METHODS: The numbers and age-standardized rates (ASRs) of incidence, disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), and mortality of urolithiasis were extracted from GBD 2021 to represent the disease burden. Joinpoint regression analyses were conducted to assess the temporal trends in the burden of urolithiasis. The male-to-female ASR ratio indices were used to evaluate sex disparities. Additionally, we explored the relationship between the ASR ratio and the sociodemographic index (SDI). RESULTS: The total numbers of incidence, DALY, and mortality of urolithiasis were 105,983,780 cases (95% uncertainty interval [UI] = 88,349,356-128,645,155 cases), 693,444 cases (95% UI = 567,765-850,490 cases), and 17,672 cases (95% UI = 13,932-21,241 cases), respectively, in 2021. There is an increasing trend in the number of these measures globally, whereas the ASRs have decreased over the past 30 years. The age-standardized incidence rate (ASIR) and age-standardized mortality rate (ASMR) were significantly higher in males than in females in 2021. The sex disparities in the age-standardized DALY rate (ASDR) and ASMR of urolithiasis were negatively correlated with the SDI. In 2021, the ASIR of urolithiasis was 964.70 (95% UI = 801.26-1175.09) per 100,000 people in China, which is much lower than the global average (1242.84 [95% UI = 1034.94-1506.99] per 100,000 people). Compared with the global average, a more pronounced decline in ASIR was observed in China from 1793.16 (1446.0-2235.14) in 1990 to 964.70 (801.26-1175.09) per 100,000 people in 2021. CONCLUSIONS Urolithiasis poses a significant healthcare burden worldwide. More robust global and national strategies are warranted to address the prevention and treatment, especially in low SDI countries and regions.

Objective To investigate the mechanism of electroacupuncture-mediated PTEN-induced kinase 1(PINK 1)/Parkin signal pathway activation in treating functional dyspepsia model rats.Methods Thirty-six SD rats were randomly divided into the blank control(n=8)and the modeling groups(n=28)using the random number table method.The functional dyspepsia model was established using the compound etiology modeling method.After successful modeling,24 rats were divided into the model,electroacupuncture,and mosapride groups using the random number table method,with eight rats per group.The blank group was not intervened.The electroacupuncture,mosapride,and model groups were bound for 30 min,and only the electroacupuncture group was administered"Neiguan"(PC 6)and"Gongsun"(SP 4)while bound.The electroacupuncture and model groups were administered the same amount of normal saline,and the mosapride group was given mosapride citrate solution(1.35 mg/kg).The above intervention method were performed once a day for 7 consecutive days to observe the general condition of rats.Gastric emptying and small intestinal propulsion experiments were used to observe gastric emptying rate and small intestine propulsion rate in each group of rats.The interstitial cells of the Cajal(ICC)ultrastructure of gastric antrum were observed under a transmission electron microscope.The protein and mRNA expressions of C-kit proto-oncogene protein(C-kit),microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3(LC3)Ⅱ/Ⅰ,ubiquitin-binding protein p62(p62),Bcl-2 interacting protein 1(Beclin1),PINK1,and Parkin were detected using Western blotting and real-time fluorescence PCR.Results Compared with the blank group,the rats in the model group exhibited lethargy,dull and dry fur,sluggish responses,and substantial decreases in food intake and body weight.Their feces alternated between dry and loose consistency.Furthermore,the gastric emptying and small intestinal propulsion rates were reduced(P<0.01).The ultrastructural morphology of ICC and their mitochondria in the gastric antrum tissue showed apparent damage.The protein and mRNA expressions of C-kit and p62 were decreased(P<0.01),whereas those of PINK1,Parkin,Beclin1,and LC3Ⅱ/Ⅰ were increased(P<0.01).Compared with the model group,the rats in the electroacupuncture and mosapride groups showed notable improvements in their mental state,with neat fur,enhanced activity and responsiveness,gradual increases in food intake and body weight,and well-formed feces.Additionally,the gastric emptying and intestinal propulsion rates increased(P<0.01).The ultrastructural morphology of ICC and their mitochondria in the gastric antrum tissue were notably improved.The protein and mRNA expressions of C-kit and p62 were increased(P<0.01),whereas those of PINK1,Parkin,Beclin1,and LC3Ⅱ/Ⅰwere decreased(P<0.01).Conclusion Electroacupuncture improves the gastrointestinal motility of functional dyspepsia rats,and its mechanism may be related to upregulating C-kit and p62 expression,downregulating PINK1,Parkin,Beclin1,and LC3Ⅱ/Ⅰ expression,inhibiting abnormal PINK1/Parkin signal pathway activation,and blocking the excessive mitophagy of ICC.
