ObjectiveTo investigate the potential mechanism of Danggui Buxuetang （DBT） in the treatment of vascular dementia （VAD）. MethodsSixty male SD rats were randomly assigned to the sham-operated group， model group， DBT low-， medium-， and high-dose groups， and the donepezil group. Except for the sham-operated group， rats in all other groups underwent bilateral common carotid artery ligation. After successful modeling， DBT was administered at doses of 9.2， 18.4， 36.8 g·kg^-1 for the low-， medium-， and high-dose groups， respectively， while the donepezil group received 3 mg·kg^-1 donepezil solution by gavage once daily. After 4 consecutive weeks of drug treatment， rats underwent the Morris water maze test， novel object recognition test， Nissl staining to observe hippocampal neurons， and immunofluorescence staining to detect the expression of neuronal nuclear protein （NeuN） in the hippocampus. Western blot was used to assess the expression of PTEN-induced kinase 1 （PINK1）， Parkin， microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3Ⅱ （LC3Ⅱ）， B-cell lymphoma-2 （Bcl-2）， and Bcl-2-associated X protein （Bax）. Transmission electron microscopy was used to observe hippocampal neuronal ultrastructure. Real-time PCR was used to detect the expression of NADPH oxidase subunits p22^phox and p47^phox in hippocampal tissues. The levels of malondialdehyde （MDA）， glutathione （GSH）， superoxide dismutase （SOD）， and total antioxidant capacity were measured to evaluate oxidative stress levels. ResultsIn the Morris water maze test， escape latency changed significantly over time in all groups except the model group. Compared with the sham-operated group， the model group showed significantly prolonged escape latency （P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， rats in the DBT groups and the donepezil group exhibited significantly shorter escape latency （P<0.05， P<0.01）. The number of crossings over the original platform was significantly reduced in the model group compared with the sham-operated group （P<0.01）， whereas rats in the DBT and donepezil groups showed significantly increased platform crossings compared with the model group （P<0.05， P<0.01）. Compared with the sham-operated group， exploration time of new objects was significantly reduced in the model group （P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， exploration time of new objects increased significantly in the medium- and high-dose DBT groups and the donepezil group （P<0.05， P<0.01）， while no significant change was observed in the low-dose DBT group. Compared with the high-dose DBT group， rats in the donepezil group had significantly prolonged escape latency and reduced platform crossings and new-object exploration time （P<0.05）. Nissl staining showed decreased density of healthy neurons in the CA1 and CA3 regions of the hippocampus in the model group， with loss of Nissl bodies and nuclear atrophy or disappearance. In the high-dose DBT group， neuronal density in CA1 and CA3 increased， with neurons arranged closely and displaying normal morphology. Immunofluorescence showed that compared with the sham-operated group， the hippocampal NeuN⁺ cell count in the VAD model group was significantly decreased（P<0.01）， compared with the VAD model group， the hippocampal NeuN⁺ cell count in the high-dose DBT group was significantly increased（P<0.01）. Compared with the sham-operated group， the expression of PINK1， Parkin， LC3Ⅱ， and Bax proteins was significantly increased（P<0.01）， while the expression of Bcl-2 was significantly decreased in the VAD model group（P<0.01）. Compared with the VAD model group， the high-dose DBT group showed significantly decreased expression of PINK1， Parkin， LC3Ⅱ， and Bax proteins（P<0.01）and significantly upregulated Bcl-2 expression（P<0.01）. The medium-dose DBT group exhibited significantly reduced expression of Parkin， LC3Ⅱ， and Bax proteins（P<0.05，P<0.01） and significantly increased Bcl-2 expression（P<0.01）， while no statistically significant differences were observed in the low-dose DBT group. Transmission electron microscopy showed mitochondrial pyknosis， thickened cristae， increased electron density， and the presence of mitochondrial autophagy in the model group. In contrast， hippocampal neurons in the high-dose DBT group contained abundant mitochondria with intact morphology， clear cristae， and uniform matrix. Compared with the sham-operated group， total antioxidant capacity， SOD activity， and GSH levels were significantly decreased， while MDA levels were significantly increased in the model group （P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， total antioxidant capacity and antioxidant levels （SOD， GSH） increased significantly， and MDA decreased significantly in the medium- and high-dose DBT groups （P<0.01）， while no significant changes were observed in the low-dose DBT group. Compared with the sham-operated group， mRNA expression of p22^phox and p47^phox was significantly increased in the model group （P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， expression of p22^phox and p47^phox was significantly decreased in the DBT groups （P<0.05， P<0.01）. ConclusionDBT may exert neuroprotective effects by regulating PINK1/Parkin-mediated mitochondrial autophagy， thereby improving learning and memory abilities and treating VAD.

ObjectiveThis paper aims to investigate the effects of icariin on spermatogenesis in mice with exercise-induced fatigue and explore the underlying mechanisms. MethodsICR male mice were screened by swimming and randomly divided into normal group， model group， vitamin C group， icariin groups with low， medium， and high doses， and medium-dose icariin+N-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester （L-NAME） group， with 10 mice per group. Except for the normal group， all the other groups underwent weighted swimming training to establish an exercise-induced fatigue model. No gavage was administered during the first two weeks of the weighted training. From week three to four， the icariin groups with low， medium， and high doses received 0.03， 0.06， and 0.12 g·kg^-1 icariin via gavage， respectively. The vitamin C group received 0.2 g·kg^-1 vitamin C. The L-NAME group received 0.06 g·kg^-1 icariin and 0.01 g·kg^-1 L-NAME via intraperitoneal injection. The normal and model groups received equivalent physiological saline. After the experiment， body weight and the last exhaustive swimming time were recorded. Blood urea nitrogen （BUN）， lactate （LA）， lactate dehydrogenase （LDH）， malondialdehyde （MDA）， testicular testosterone （T）， testicular Ca²⁺/Mg²⁺-adenosine triphosphatase （ATPase） （micro-assay）， and the levels of testicular cyclic guanosine monophosphate （cGMP） were measured by using kits. Sperm CD46 levels were detected by flow cytometry. Testicular seminiferous tubules were observed via hematoxylin-eosin （HE） staining， and the testicular morphometric score （TMS） was used to evaluate the spermatogenic function. Protein expression of regucalcin （RGN， SMP30）， cGMP-dependent protein kinase 1 （PKG）， and cGMP-dependent protein kinase anchoring protein （GKAP1） was detected by Western blot. Testicular regucalcin expression was examined by immunofluorescence （IF）. The epididymal sperm quality of mice was observed under a microscope. Fluorescence-stained sections of stimulated by retinoic acid gene 8 （STRA8）， synaptonemal complex protein 3 （SCP3）， and transition protein 1（TNP1） in testicular seminiferous tubules were assessed by immunohistochemistry （IHC）. ResultsCompared with the normal group， the model group showed decreased body weight and exhaustive swimming time （P<0.01）， significantly increased fatigue markers （LA， LDH， and BUN） and lipid peroxidation product MDA （P<0.01）， reduced testicular RGN， PKG， GKAP1， testosterone， Ca²⁺/Mg²⁺-ATPase， and cGMP levels （P<0.01）， decreased sperm motility， sperm count， and TMS scores， and downregulated the expression of STRA8， SCP3， and TNP1. Compared with the model group， the icariin group with high dose exhibited increased exhaustive swimming time （P<0.01）， reduced LA， LDH， BUN， and MDA levels （P<0.01）， elevated superoxide dismutase （SOD） （P<0.01）， upregulated testicular RGN， PKG， GKAP1， testosterone， Ca²⁺/Mg²⁺-ATPase， and cGMP levels （P<0.01）， improved sperm motility， sperm count， and TMS scores， and enhanced STRA8， SCP3， and TNP1 expression. Compared with the L-NAME group， the icariin group with medium dose showed increased expression of STRA8， SCP3， and TNP1 in the testicular tissue （P<0.01） and elevated cGMP and GKAP1 levels （P<0.01）. ConclusionExercise-induced fatigue reduces the expression of RGN and cGMP/PKG/GKAP1 in mice， thereby causing abnormal spermatogenesis and impairing reproductive function in mice. Icariin ameliorates spermatogenic dysfunction in exercise-induced fatigue mice by promoting the expression of RGN and cGMP/PKG/GKAP1， thereby mitigating the damage of exercise-induced fatigue to the reproductive system.

Objective To compare the cost and efficacy of ambulatory versus hospitalized surgery for lung tumor patients. Methods Two researchers independently conducted a computer search on February 14, 2025, in databases including CNKI, PubMed, Web of Science, Ovid Medline, Cochrane Library, and Wanfang Database, with the search period covering from the inception of these databases to February 2025. The outcome indicators were postoperative complication rate, length of hospital stay, hospitalization costs, et al. For the included randomized controlled trials and non-randomized controlled trials, we used the Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool and the Newcastle Ottawa Scale (NOS) respectively to evaluate the quality of the literature, and extracted data from the included studies for meta-analysis using RevMan 5.4 and Stata 18.0. Results A total of 12 researches were ultimately included, consisting of 2 randomized controlled trials, 2 prospective cohort studies, and 8 retrospective cohort studies, involving a total of 76 403 patients. All researches were evaluated as high-quality. Meta-analysis showed that the ambulatory surgery group had advantages over the hospitalized surgery group in terms of operation time [MD=−21.07, 95%CI (−30.55, −11.58), P<0.001], length of hospital stay [MD=−2.17, 95%CI (−3.25, −1.09), P<0.001], hospitalization costs [SMD=−1.22, 95%CI (−2.18, −0.26), P=0.01], and overall postoperative complications [OR=0.48, 95%CI (0.32, 0.74), P<0.001]. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of postoperative hoarseness [OR=0.62, 95%CI (0.24, 1.61), P=0.33] and postoperative chylothorax [OR=0.27, 95%CI (0.07, 1.07), P=0.06]. Conclusion Compared to conventional hospitalized lung tumor resection, ambulatory lung tumor resection can significantly reduce the patient’s surgery and hospital stay time, decrease hospitalization costs, and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications. Ambulatory surgery can improve hospital efficiency while reducing the economic burden on patients. It is worthy of further promotion and application.

[摘 要] 目的：探讨iSEND免疫评分联合肺癌免疫治疗预后指数（LIPI）在评估非小细胞肺癌（NSCLC）接受免疫治疗预后中的价值。方法：通过回顾性分析2018年2月至2023年2月期间100例接受免疫治疗的晚期NSCLC患者的临床资料，收集并整理患者的iSEND免疫评分和LIPI数据，根据iSEND免疫评分和LIPI分别将患者分为3组（不良组、中等组和良好组），运用Kaplan-Meier方法绘制生存曲线分析所有患者和不同组别患者的无进展生存期（PFS），运用Cox回归分析评估影响患者预后的风险因素。结果：在接受免疫治疗后，NSCLC患者的ORR为42.00%（42/100），DCR为82.00%（82/100）。iSEND免疫评分和LIPI不良组ORR和DCR均最低，良好组均最高，不同组别ORR和DCR比较均有统计学意义（均P < 0.01）。100例NSCLC患者的中位PFS为7.63个月[95% CI（7.23, 8.05）]，iSEND免疫评分不良组、中等组和良好组的中位PFS分别为4.69、6.58和8.99个月，iSEND免疫评分良好组的PFS最长，其次为中等组，不良组最短（χ2=125.391，P < 0.000 1）。LIPI不良组、中等组和良好组的中位PFS分别为4.54、6.39和8.49个月，以LIPI良好组的PFS最长，其次为中等组（χ2 = 115.707，P < 0.000 1）。Cox多因素分析提示，ECOG PS > 1、远处转移、iSEND免疫评分≥ 2分和LIPI ≥ 2分是影响患者独立预后的风险因素。结论：iSEND免疫评分和LIPI可作为评估NSCLC免疫治疗预后的良好指标，具有一定的临床价值。

Objective : To investigate the mechanism of puerarin in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis(RA) by network pharmacology and animal experiments. Methods : Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmcolog Database(TCMSP) and SwissTargetPrediction database were used to collect puerarin targets, and the targets of RA were obtained from GeneCards database and OMIM database. The PPI network was established by Cytoscape 3.7.2 software. Gene ontology(GO) function and Kyotoencyclopedia of genes(KEGG) enrichment analysis were performed through the Metascape database. RA rat-collagen-induced arthritis(CIA) model was reproduced using type Ⅱ collagen emulsion, 49 Wistar rats were randomly assigned to seven groups: control group, CIA model group, low-dose, medium-dose and high-dose puerarin group, methotrexate group, Tripterysium Glycosides Tablets group. Except for the control group, the other groups were given continuous gavage for 28 days after the CIA in rats model were prepared. The redness and swelling of the joints and ankle joint pathological changes were observed in each group. Western blot was used to detect the expression of Glycogen synthase kinase3β(GSK-3β), beta-catenin(β-catenin) proteins in the synovium. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR) was used to detect the expression of GSK-3β, β-catenin and c-Myc mRNA in the synovium. Results : Puerarin had 134 targets genes, RA had 5 821 target genes, and there were 102 overlapping target genes of puerarin and RA. It involved 184 signaling pathways, including JAK-STAT signaling pathway, NF-κB signaling pathway, Wnt signaling pathway, et al. The results of animal experiments showed that after the intervention of M-puerarin and MTX, the symptoms of redness and swelling of the hind foot were alleviated, the inflammatory cell infiltration in the synovium of the joint was significantly reduced, and the damage of cartilage and bone tissue was reduced. Compared with CIA group, the expressions of GSK-3β, β-catenin protein and GSK-3β, β-catenin and c-Myc mRNA in synovial tissue of rats after M-puerarin intervention decreased(P<0.05). Conclusion Puerarin has the characteristic of multi-components, multi-targets and multi-pathway intervention in RA. Puerarin may alleviate synovial hyperplasia, reduce articular cartilage erosion and bone destruction in CIA in rats by inhibiting Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.

Objective : To investigate the protective effect of dimethyl fumarate(DMF) on maternal intrahepatic cholestasis(ICP) during pregnancy induced by di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate(DEHP) exposure and its mechanism. Methods : Thirty-two 8-week-old female institute of cancer research(ICR) mice were randomly divided into 4 groups: Ctrl group, DEHP group, DMF group and DEHP+DMF group. DEHP and DEHP+DMF groups were treated with DEHP(200 mg/kg) by gavage every morning at 9:00 a.m. DMF and DEHP+DMF groups were treated with DMF(150 mg/kg) from day 13 to day 16 of gestation by gavage. After completion of gavage on day 16 of pregnancy, maternal blood, maternal liver, placenta, and amniotic fluid were collected from pregnant mice after a six-hour abrosia. The body weight of the mother rats and the body weight of the fetus rats were sorted and analyzed; the levels of total bile acid(TBA), alkaline phosphatase(ALP), aspartate aminotransferase/alanine aminotransferase(AST/ALT) in serum and TBA in liver, amniotic fluid and placenta were detected by biochemical analyzer; HE staining was used to observe the pathological changes of liver tissue; Quantitative reverse transcription PCR(RT-qPCR) was used to detect the expression levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), interleukin(IL)-6, IL-1, IL-18 and NOD-like receptor thermal protein domain associated protein 3(NLRP3) in the liver; Western blot was used to detect the expression of the nuclear factor KappaB(NF-κB) and NLRP3. Results : Compared with the control group, the body weight of the DEHP-treated dams and pups decreased(P<0.05); the levels of TBA, ALP, AST/ALT in the serum of dams and the levels of TBA in the liver, amniotic fluid, and placenta of dams increased(P<0.05); the histopathological results showed that liver tissue was damaged, bile ducts were deformed, and there was inflammatory cell infiltration around them; the levels of inflammation-related factors TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1, IL-18 and NLRP3 transcription in maternal liver increased(P<0.05); the expression of NF-κB and NLRP3 protein in maternal liver significantly increased( P<0. 05). Compared with the DEHP group,the body weight of both dams and fetuses significantly increased in DEHP + DMF group( P<0. 05); the levels of TBA,ALP,AST/ALT in the serum of dams and amniotic fluid of fetuses decreased( P<0. 05); the degree of liver lesions was improved; the transcription levels of inflammation-related factors TNF-α,IL-6,IL-1,IL-18 and NLRP3 in maternal liver decreased( P<0. 05); the expression of NF-κB and NLRP3 protein in maternal liver significantly decreased( P<0. 05). Conclusion DMF can effectively protect the DEHP exposure to lead to female ICP,and its mechanism may be through inhibiting the NF-κB/NLRP3 pathway and reducing liver inflammation.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of icariin （ICA） on steroid-induced ferroptosis in bone microvascular endothelial cells （BMECs）. MethodsRat BMECs were selected and treated with 500 mg·L^-1 hydrocortisone for 1.5 h to establish a ferroptosis model of BMECs. The experimental cells were divided into a blank group， hormone group （500 mg·L^-1 hydrocortisone）， ICA group （500 mg·L^-1 hydrocortisone + 34 mg·L^-1 ICA）， and ferroptosis agonist group （500 mg·L^-1 hydrocortisone + 34 mg·L^-1 ICA + 2.7 mg·L^-1 erastin）. Cell viability was detected by CCK-8. The levels of ferrous ion， glutathione （GSH）， malondialdehyde （MDA）， superoxide dismutase （SOD）， and reactive oxygen species （ROS） were detected by related kit species. The ferroptosis-related proteins， such as glutathione peroxidase 4（GPX4）， ferritin light chain （FTL）， and transferrin receptor protein1 （sTfR） were detected by Western blot， as well as autophagy-related proteins including microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3B （LC3B）， Beclin1， B-cell lymphoma-2 （Bcl-2）， and Caspase-3. Results500 mg·L^-1 hydrocortisone intervention for 1.5 h could effectively induce ferroptosis in BMECs， and ferroptosis levels could reach a peak as the intervention continued. In terms of cellular antioxidant capacity， compared with those in the blank group， the cell vitality， GSH in the hormone group decreased significantly， and the levels of ROS， SOD， MDA， and ferrous ions were significantly increased （P<0.01）. Compared with those in the hormone group， the cell viability， GSH were significantly increased， and the levels of ROS， SOD， MDA， and ferrous ions were decreased in the ICA group （P<0.01）. Compared with those in the ICA group， the cell vitality， GSH in the ferroptosis agonist group decreased significantly， and the levels of ROS， SOD， MDA， and ferrous ions increased significantly （P<0.01）. In terms of the relationship between ferroptosis and autophagy， compared with the blank group， the hormone group had significantly increased expression levels of LC3B， sTfR， Beclin1， and FTL and significantly decreased expression levels of GPX4 （P<0.01）. Compared with the hormone group， The ICA group had significantly decreased expression levels of LC3B， sTfR， and FTL and significantly increased expression levels of Beclin 1 and GPX4 （P<0.01）. Compared with those in the ICA group， the expression levels of LC3B， sTfR， and FTL increased in the rapamycin group， and those of Beclin 1 and GPX4 decreased （P<0.01）. In terms of cell ferroptosis and apoptosis，compared with the blank group， the hormone group had significantly increased expression levels of FTL， sTfR and Caspase-3 and significantly decreased expression levels of GPX4， and Bcl-2 （P<0.01）. Compared with the hormone group， the ICA group had significantly decreased expression levels of FTL， sTfR and Caspase-3 and significantly increased expression levels of GPX4， and Bcl-2 （P<0.01）. Compared with those in the ICA group， the expression levels of FTL， sTfR and Caspase-3 in the ferroptosis agonist group were increased， and the expression levels of GPX4， and Bcl-2 were decreased （P<0.01）. In terms of cell function，compared with that in the blank group， the ability of cell migration and tube formation was significantly decreased in the hormone group （P<0.01）. Compared with that in the hormone group， the cell migration and tube formation ability in the ICA group were significantly increased （P<0.01）. ConclusionFerroptosis is involved in steroid-induced damage in BMECs. ICA can inhibit steroid-induced ferroptosis in BMECs， and the mechanism may be associated with the inhibition of ferroptosis by regulating autophagy.

BACKGROUND:Buqi Huoxue Compounds have significant clinical efficacy in treating ischemic stroke with Qi deficiency and phlegm stasis;however,the exact mechanism of action is not clear. OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of Buqi Huoxue Compounds on the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor,basic fibroblast growth factor,brain-derived neurotrophic factor and autophagy related protein Beclin1 and p62 in a rat model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion. METHODS:Forty male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into sham operation group,model group,Buqi Huoxue Compounds group and autophagy inhibitor group,with 10 rats in each group.In the latter three groups,a rat model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury was established.The Buqi Huoxue Compounds group was intragastrically given Buqi Huoxue Compounds(6.49 g/kg,administered three times a day)2 hours after reperfusion;the autophagy inhibitor group was intragastrically given Buqi Huoxue Compounds(6.49 g/kg,administered three times a day)2 hours after reperfusion and intraperitoneally given 3-methyladenine 2 hours before gavage and at days 1-3 of gavage.The sham operation group and model group were given equal amounts of saline by gavage for 7 consecutive days.Neurological function,cerebral infarct volume,brain tissue morphology and expression of vascular endothelial growth factor,basic fibroblast growth factor,brain-derived neurotrophic factor and autophagy-related proteins Beclin1 and p62 in the ischemic cortical region of rats were detected at 24 hours after the final administration. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Zea-Longa scoring results showed that the neurological function of rats was severely damaged after modeling and neurological deficit of rats in the Buqi Huoxue Compounds group was less than that in the model group and the autophagy inhibitor group(P＜0.05).TTC staining showed that cerebral infarct foci were observed in the model group,Buqi Huoxue Compounds group,and autophagy inhibitor group,and the cerebral infarct volume in the Buqi Huoxue Compounds group was lower than that in the model group and the autophagy inhibitor group(P＜0.05).The results of hematoxylin-eosin staining in ischemic brain tissues showed that there were large gaps between nerve cells in the model group and cell arrangement was not neat,and cytoplasmic agglutination and pyknosis were observed.Immunohistochemical staining results showed that vascular endothelial growth factor was mostly expressed in neuronal cells,glial cells and capillary endothelium;basic fibroblast growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor were mostly expressed in neuronal cells and glial cells;and there was no significant difference in the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor,basic fibroblast growth factor,and brain-derived neurotrophic factor among the four groups(P＞0.05).The results of western blot assay showed that compared with the sham operation group,Beclin1 protein expression was decreased(P＜0.05)and p62 protein expression was elevated(P＜0.05)in the model group;compared with the model group,Beclin1 protein expression was increased(P＜0.05)and p62 protein expression was reduced(P＜0.05)in the Buqi Huoxue Compounds group;compared with the Buqi Huoxue Compounds group,Beclin1 protein expression was decreased(P＜0.05)and p62 protein expression was elevated(P＜0.05)in the autophagy inhibitor group.To conclude,Buqi Huoxue Compounds attenuate cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats by promoting autophagy.

In managing metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, which affects over 30% of the general population, effective noninvasive biomarkers for assessing disease severity, monitoring disease progression, predicting the development of liver-related complications, and assessing treatment response are crucial. The advantage of simple fibrosis scores lies in their widespread accessibility through routinely performed blood tests and extensive validation in different clinical settings. They have shown reasonable accuracy in diagnosing advanced fibrosis and good performance in excluding the majority of patients with a low risk of liver-related complications. Among patients with elevated serum fibrosis scores, a more specific fibrosis and imaging biomarker has proved useful to accurately identify patients at risk of liver-related complications. Among specific fibrosis blood biomarkers, enhanced liver fibrosis is the most widely utilized and has been approved in the United States as a prognostic biomarker. For imaging biomarkers, the availability of vibration-controlled transient elastography has been largely improved over the past years, enabling the use of liver stiffness measurement (LSM) for accurate assessment of significant and advanced fibrosis, and cirrhosis. Combining LSM with other routinely available blood tests enhances the ability to diagnose at-risk metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis and predict liver-related complications, some reaching an accuracy comparable to that of liver biopsy. Magnetic resonance imaging-based modalities provide the most accurate quantification of liver fibrosis, though the current utilization is limited to research settings. Expanding their future use in clinical practice depends on factors such as cost and facility availability.
