Objective To independently design a protective restraint band used for the interventional catheter bed and to evaluate its application effect. Methods The self-designed restraint belt consisted of a restraint belt body, first movable band and second movable band.A total of 200 patients, who received interventional operation at the Affiliated Run Run Shaw Hospital,School of Medicine of Zhejiang University of China from October 2022 to March 2023,were collected for this study. The patients were divided into the study group(n=100,using the self-designed restraint belt)and the control group(n=100,not using the self-designed restraint belt). The duration of surgical interruption due to patient's factors and the incidence of restraint belt-related adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results The duration of surgical interruption of the study group was(0.26±0.12)min,which was significantly shorter than(1.46±0.50)min in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(t=-23.570,P<0.01).The incidence of restraint belt-related adverse events in the study group and the control group was 0%and 7%respectively,the difference was statistically significant(x2=6.380,P=0.012).Conclusion The protective restraint band used for the interventional catheter bed can reduce the incidence of restraint belt-related adverse events and improve surgical efficiency.

Objective:To explore the psychological experience of ICU nurses caring for young patients with suicide attempts in a general hospital, and to lay a foundation for the study of psychological adjustment and intervention for ICU nurses. Methods:Twelve ICU nurses who had experience of caring for suicide attempted- young patients from Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital Affiliated to Medical College of Zhejiang University were selected by using descriptive qualitative research method and the maximum difference method of the purposive sampling during October to December in 2023, and semi-structured in-depth personal interviews were conducted. Traditional content analysis method was used to sort out and analyze the data and extract the themes. Results:A total of 12 nurses completed the interview, 5 males, 7 females, aged 23-38(29.33 ± 4.14) years, three themes and seven sub-themes were extracted: psychological characteristics of care (avoidance of active communication, fear of care, empathy); the support required for nursing care (support from colleagues; support from nursing managers); self-growth after caregiving (self-growth in terms of life and death, and self-growth in terms of children′s education). Conclusions:ICU nurses have a certain degree of psychological pressure when taking care of young patients with suicide attempts, which will produce empathy for patients and affect their self-values. At the same time, they need support from colleagues and nursing managers. Therefore, general hospitals should pay attention to the psychological state of ICU nurses, carry out the targeted communication training and mental health support for ICU nurses, and help them gain positive nursing career growth and values.

Zhejiang University School of Medicine's affiliated Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital has responded to innovative rehabilitation healthcare policy by implementing enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)wards based on healing concepts during the development of new wards in its multi-campus integration.By integrating 5G communication technology with the hospital's various information systems and leveraging the hospital's locational advantages, the hospital has upgraded its software and hardware configurations, promoting a multidisciplinary collaborative bedside management model in the context of new technologies. In terms of overall environment construction, the hospital uses best healing theories in physical design, organizational conditions, and interpersonal relationships to facilitate and support patients'healing experiences, effectively improving medical and nursing services.
9.Sinicization of the Ethical Decision-Making Confidence Scale for nurse leaders and the test of its reliability and validity
Chinese Journal of Nursing 2024;59(11):1376-1381
Objective The Ethical Decision-Making Confidence Scale(EDMC)was translated into Chinese, and its reliability and validity were tested. Methods The English version of EDMC was translated into Chinese and back-translated according to the Brislin model. After being reviewed by the original authors, cultural adjustments were made, and a pretest was conducted to finalize the Chinese version of the scale. To test the reliability and validity of the scale,228 nurse leaders were investigated using a convenience sampling method in a tertiary hospital in Zhejiang from April to May 2023.Additionally,20 nurse leaders were selected to provide test-retest data 2 weeks after the survey. Results The Chinese version of EDMC contained 2 dimensions, namely skill-related confidence(9 items)and behavior-related confidence(6 items). The I-CVI ranged from 0.833 to 1.000,and the S-CVI/Ave was 0.967.Exploratory factor analysis extracted 2 common factors with factor loadings ranging from 0.546 to 0.828 for each item, contributing to a cumulative variance rate of 65.449%.The Cronbach's α coefficient of the overall scale was 0.947,and the Cronbach's α coefficient for each dimension ranged from 0.911 to 0.919.The split-half reliability of the total scale was 0.882,and the test-retest reliability was 0.752.Conclusion The Chinese version of EDMC demonstrated good reliability and validity, making it suitable for a comprehensive evaluation of the ethical decision-making confidence of nurse leaders. It can provide corresponding bases for medical administrators to make educational plans and targeted intervention strategies.

Objective:To translate the Nurse Delirium Care Competency Scale (NDCCS) into Chinese and test the validity and reliability of Chinese version of NDCCS among ICU nurses. Methods:According to Brislin translation model, the Chinese version of NDCCS was developed by forward translation, back translation, cross-cultural adaptation and pre-survey. From October to December of 2023, 338 ICU nurses from Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine were selected by cross-sectional survey to test the reliability and validity of Chinese version of NDCCS.Results:A total of 329 valid questionnaires were collected. There were 50 males and 279 females, aged 20-53 years old. The Chinese version of NDCCS included 6 dimensions and 27 items. The scale-level content validity value was 0.985, and the item-level content validity value was 0.800-1.000. Exploratory factor analysis showed a six-factor structure, the cumulative variance contribution rate was 75.700%, the Cronbach′s α coefficients of the scale amount table were 0.952, and the Cronbach′s α coefficients of the dimensions were 0.811- 0.936,and the retest reliability was 0.932.Conclusions:The Chinese version of the NDCCS has good reliability and validity, and it is suitable for assessing the delirium care competence of ICU nurses in China.
