Objective:
To explore the association between meat consumption and anxiety symptoms in first year junior high school students in Yunnan Province, and to provide theoretical support for preventing and relieving anxiety symptoms in junior high school students.
Methods:
From October to December 2022, a random cluster sampling method was used to select 8 500 first year junior high school students from 11 counties in Yunnan Province as the survey subjects for a questionnaire survey. The study used Food Frequency Questionnaire and the Chinese version of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21) to assess the meat consumption and anxiety symptoms of junior high school students. The distribution differences in anxiety symptoms among first year junior high school students with different demographic characteristics were analyzed statistically by using the Chi-square test, and the association between meat consumption and anxiety symptoms in students was analyzed by using a generalized linear model.
Results:
The detection rate of anxiety symptoms was 48.47%. After controlling for demographic variables and confounding factors, the consumption of livestock meat, poultry meat, processed meat, cured meat, barbecued meat and raw skin meat was statistically significant with anxiety symptoms ( β =-0.05, 0.04, 0.04, 0.08, 0.14, 0.17, all P <0.05). Stratified by ethnicity, The consumption of livestock meat, cured meat and barbecue was statistically correlated with anxiety symptoms in Han adolescents ( β =-0.07, 0.14, 0.22 ); the consumption of processed meat and raw skin meat was statistically correlated with anxiety symptoms in ethnic minority adolescents ( β =0.08, 0.18) (all P <0.05).
Conclusions
There is a statistical association between meat comsumption and the risk of anxiety symptoms in first year junior high school students in Yunnan Province. Guidance on meat consumption should be strengthened to prevent the occurrence of anxiety symptoms.

ObjectiveTo investigate the efficacy of selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) in patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma, and to provide a reference for the selection of clinical treatment regimens. MethodsA retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of 73 patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma who received yttrium-90 microsphere SIRT in Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital from May 1, 2023 to September 1, 2024. According to tumor characteristics, physical status, liver reserve function, laboratory tests, and SIRT treatment strategy, the patients were divided into radiation segmentectomy group with 9 patients, conversion therapy group with 47 patients, and palliative treatment group with 17 patients. Based on the results of postoperative follow-up, modified Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors were used to assess radiographic images. A one-way analysis of variance was used for comparison of normally distributed continuous data between three groups, and the chi-square test was used for comparison of categorical data between three groups; the Logistic regression model was used to perform the multivariate analysis. ResultsThere was a significant difference in postoperative outcome between the radiation segmentectomy group, the conversion therapy group, and the palliative treatment group (χ2=30.060, P<0.001). The disease control rate was 100.0% (9/9) in the radiation segmentectomy group, 83.0% (39/47) in the conversion therapy group, and 29.4% (5/17) in the palliative treatment group, with a significant difference between the three groups (χ2=19.575, P<0.001), and there was also a significant difference in objective response rate between the three groups (χ2=17.749, P<0.001). The multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the number of tumors (odds ratio [OR]=0.085, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.008 — 0.906, P=0.041) and combined targeted immunotherapy (OR=18.808, 95%CI: 1.704 — 207.616, P=0.017) were independent influencing factors for achieving complete response. ConclusionThe number of tumors is an independent influencing factor for the efficacy of SIRT and is an important basis for selecting different treatment goals. SIRT combined with targeted immunotherapy may achieve better efficacy.

Constipation,a common functional gastrointestinal disorder, not only severely impairs patients'quality of life but is also highly comorbid with psychiatric conditions such as anxiety and depression.Emerging evidence indicates that gut microbiota dysbiosis is a critical link connecting these two disease states. On one hand, dysbiosis exacerbates constipation by affecting host metabolism and intestinal function;on the other,it plays a central role in the pathophysiology of mood disorders. This complex interaction is primarily mediated through the"microbiota-gut-brain axis."Therefore, elucidating the intrinsic relationship among anxiety, depression, gut microbiota, and constipation has become a frontier of interdisciplinary research.

Objective:To study the implementation progress of the prevention and control measures for drinking water-borne endemic fluorosis and the changing trend of fluorosis conditions in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of prevention and control measures, and provide a basis for the next step of prevention and control of the disease. Methods:In 2015 and 2023, a cross-sectional survey method was used to investigate the water improvement situation, the operation of water improvement projects, the detection of fluoride level in water, and the prevalence of dental fluorosis in children aged 8 to 12 in all affected villages of 11 leagues (cities) in the entire autonomous region. The prevention and control effect of drinking water-borne endemic fluorosis in the entire autonomous region was evaluated. Results:The water improvement rates of all affected villages in the entire autonomous region in 2015 and 2023 were 84.12% (8 218/9 769) and 95.38% (8 944/9 377), respectively. The qualified rates of water fluoride in the villages with water improvement in the entire autonomous region were 66.21% (5 441/8 218) and 91.00% (8 139/8 944), respectively. The water improvement rate and water fluoride qualification rate of water improvement villages in 2023 were both higher than those in 2015, and the differences were statistically significant (χ 2 = 652.96, 1 593.81, P < 0.001). The detection rates of dental fluorosis in children aged 8 to 12 years in the entire autonomous region in 2015 and 2023 were 9.26% (7 548/81 484) and 4.46% (3 441/77 155), respectively. The detection rate of dental fluorosis in children in 2023 was lower than that in 2015, and the difference was statistically significant (χ 2 = 1 418.20, P < 0.001). In 2015 and 2023, the total compliance rate of all affected villages in the entire autonomous region reaching the control standards were 57.94% (5 660/ 9 769) and 92.37% (8 662/9 377), respectively. The total compliance rate of all affected villages in 2023 was higher than that in 2015, and the difference was statistically significant (χ 2 = 3 010.38, P < 0.001). Conclusions:Compared with 2015, the prevention and control measures of drinking water-borne endemic fluorosis in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region have been effectively implemented in 2023, with a significant decrease in the detection rate of dental fluorosis in children. However, there are still a few affected villages that have not achieved the control standards, and prevention and control work still need to be further strengthened.
