Objective To assess the potential role of disulfidptosis-related genes (DRGs) in pan-cancer on prognosis and immunity on the basis of bioinformatics approaches. Methods Pan-cancer RNA-seq data, mutation profiles, clinical information, TMB, MSI, stemness scores, and tumor and immune microenvironment data contained in TCGA and various open-source online databases, and multi-group R-language algorithms were used for comprehensive analysis. The expression levels of DRGs at the cellular level were experimentally validated using qPCR. Results LRPPRC, NCKAP1, NDUFS1, and NUBPL had a better prognosis in renal clear cell carcinoma (P<0.001), whereas SLC7A11, NCKAP1, and SLC3A2 had a worse prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (P<0.001). TME analysis showed that LRPPRC was negatively correlated with immune cells, stromal cells, and estimated scores in all tumor types. TMB analysis revealed the potential research value of DRGs for PD-1/PD-L1 therapy in pan-cancer. Drug sensitivity analysis showed that SLC7A11 (r=0.454), SLC3A2 (r=0.366), and NCKAP1 (r=0.455) were significantly associated with Kahalide F (P<0.01). Experimental validation demonstrated the overall higher expression levels of GYS1 and NCKAP1 than normal cells in lung adenocarcinoma, colon adenocarcinoma, esophageal squamous carcinoma, and hepatocellular carcinoma (P<0.05). Conclusion Pan-cancer analysis of DRGs indicates that DRGs may serve as important biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of renal clear-cell carcinoma, lung adenocarcinoma, and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Aim To investigate the correlation between serum solube growth stimulation expressed gene 2 protein(sST2)and early reperfusion arrhythmia(ERA)after emergency percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI).Methods A total of 202 STEMI patients who under-went emergency PCI from November 2020 to August 2022 in the Cardiac Center of Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital were divided into two groups based on the occurrence of ERA within 48 hours after PCI:ERA group and non-ERA group.Serum sST2 level and clinical data were compared between the groups.Univariable and multivariable Logistic regression analysis were used to explore the association between serum sST2 level and ERA occurrence,and restricted cubic spline model was applied to identify independent risk factors for ERA.Results There were 83(41.1％)patients experi-enced ERA within 48 hours after PCI.Compared with the non-ERA group,the patients in ERA group had shorter time from chest pain to reperfusion and higher serum sST2 level(P＜0.001).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that for STEMI patients,elevated serum sST2 level(sST2≥45.03 μg/L),early reperfusion time(chest pain to successful reperfusion time≤5.23 h),high thrombosis burden,and right coronary artery as the infarct related artery(IRA)were in-dependent risk factors for ERA after emergency PCI.The restricted cubic spline model suggested that the serum sST2 lev-el of STEMI patients was nonlinearly correlated with the risk of ERA after PCI(P＜0.01),and the cutoff point was 45.12 μg/L.ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the ROC curve of serum sST2 level in predicting ERA oc-currence after PCI was 0.827(95％CI:0.771～0.883).Conclusion The high serum sST2 level before PCI is an independent risk factor for ERA occurrence after PCI in patients with STEMI.When serum sST2＞45.12 μg/L,its level is positively correlated with the risk of ERA.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a clinical syndrome that presents with repeated upper airway stenosis, collapse, obstruction and frequent episodes of apnea during sleep causing a series of pathophysiological changes in the body. Studies have shown that OSA, as an independent risk factor, increases the occurrence and recurrence of cerebrovascular disease, which may lead to disability or death of patients. This article reviews the pathophysiological mechanism of OSA increasing the risk of cerebrovascular disease and related clinical research progress.

Objectives:To investigate the prognostic value of soluble growth stimulation expressed gene 2 protein(sST2)combined with N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI)undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI). Methods:A total of 206 patients who were diagnosed with STEMI for the first time and underwent emergency PCI from August 2020 to February 2021 in the People's Hospital of Liaoning Province were enrolled.Patients were followed up for 3 years and divided into major adverse cardiac event(MACE,a composite endpoint event including cardiac death,stroke,heart failure,and ischemia-driven revascularization)group and MACE-free group.Multivariate cox analysis was performed to determine the independent risk factors for the prognosis of primary PCI in STEMI patients;the predictive value of sST2 and NT-proBNP for the occurrence of MACE in STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI was assessed by ROC analysis and the prediction of MACE by each factor by itself and the combined variables was analyzed with the Delong test. Results:There were 62 cases of MACE during the 3-year follow-up.Compared with the MACE-free group,patients in the MACE group had higher levels of sST2 and NT-proBNP,higher proportion of patients with left anterior descending branch lesions,anterior wall myocardial infarction,lower LVEF,and higher proportion of coronary artery slow flow(all P<0.05).Multivariate Cox analysis showed that sST2(HR=1.018,95%CI:1.012-1.024,P<0.001)and NT-proBNP(HR=1.001,95%CI:1.000-1.010,P<0.001)were independent predictors of MACE.According to the statistical analysis of ROC and Delong test,the AUC of combined sST2 and NT-proBNP in predicting MACE was 0.854,the sensitivity was 64.5%,the specificity was 93.1%,and the combined prediction of prognosis was better than that of individual prediction,with statistically significant difference(Z=2.119,P=0.034;Z=2.178,P=0.029). Conclusions:Serum sST2 and NT-proBNP are valuable predictors of MACE after emergency PCI in patients with STEMI,and the predictive efficacy increases with combined assessment of both sST2 and NT-proBNP.

Acute basilar artery occlusion (ABAO) has a high rate of disability and mortality, and the key to its treatment is to start reperfusion therapy as early as possible. A number of retrospective studies have found that the good prognosis rate of endovascular treatment of ABAO is related to number of infarction locus, extent of ABAO, vascular occlusion and collateral circulation. Screening patients through imaging evaluation before endovascular treatment may further improve the rate of favorable outcome. This article reviews research progress on the correlation between imaging evaluation before endovascular treatment of ABAO and clinical prognoses.

Objective To approach the effects of full Marathon on striated muscle and renal function of Marathon amateurs without complaints. Methods A prospective self-paired design study was conducted. The amateurs without body discomfort, hematuria, brown urine, or persistent muscle pain within 1 week after the 2012 Xiamen International Marathon Race were enrolled voluntarily. The peripheral blood and random urine specimens of all subjects under static status 1 week before the race and after the race instantly (within 10 minutes after finishing the race) were collected to detect markers of renal function and striated muscle injury. Results Sixty-one subjects were included in the final analysis of the study with full Marathon of 42.195 km and mean race time of (297.05± 55.60) minutes. Compared with those under static status before the race, the markers of renal function including the levels of urinary N-acetyl-beta-D-glucusamidase [NAG (U/L): 64.00 (54.50, 85.50) vs. 9.50 (8.10, 11.50)], urinary β2-microspheres protein [β2-MG (μg/L): 261.00 (128.50, 1 608.00) vs. 66.60 (33.75, 123.00)], random urinary creatinine [UCr (μmol/L): 19 066.56±10 938.31 vs. 5 872.52±4 363.20] and serum creatinine [SCr (μmol/L): 129.97±25.84 vs. 97.39±14.51] immediately after the race were significantly increased (all P < 0.01); the markers of muscle injury including the levels of serum creatine kinase [CK (U/L): 864.00 (504.00, 1 644.00) vs. 164.00 (128.00, 256.00)], lactic dehydrogenase [LDH (U/L): 383.26±141.69 vs. 182.23±41.12], myoglobin [Mb (mg/L): 1 880.00 (1 080.00, 3 300.00) vs. 42.00 (36.00, 54.50)], alanine aminotransferase [ALT (U/L): 27.0 (19.5, 38.0) vs. 24.0 (15.0, 29.5)] and aspartate transaminase [AST (U/L): 52.07±25.13 vs. 28.28±11.86] were also significantly increased (all P < 0.01), and the increase in CK, Mb, and LDH were more significant. It was shown by correlation analysis that CK after race was negatively correlated with age (r = -0.352, P = 0.005) and body mass index (r = -0.271, P = 0.035), and it was positively correlated with racing time (r = 0.387, P = 0.002) and urinary β2-MG after the race instantly (r = 0.364, P = 0.004). Mb after race was negatively correlated with body mass index (r = -0.331, P = 0.009), and it was positively correlated with urinary β2-MG after the race instantly (r = 0.315, P = 0.013). LDH after race was negatively correlated with age (r = -0.275, P = 0.032) and body mass index (r = -0.377, P = 0.003), and it was positively correlated with urinary β2-MG after the race instantly (r = 0.424, P = 0.001). Conclusion Full Marathon could significantly impact striated muscle and renal function of Marathon amateurs without complaints.
