Objective: To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) among children aged 0-9 years in Guangzhou, so as to provide reference basis for further exploring scientifically effective prevention and control measures. Methods: Reported cases of HFMD in children aged 0-9 years in Guangzhou City from 2013-2025 were selected from China disease prevention and control information system, and the incidence in different years was analyzed descriptively; the trends of the composition ratio and incidence in various age groups were analyzed by using the Joinpoint regression model, spatial autocorrelation analyses were performed at the district level, and the seasonal autoregressive integrated moving average model (SARIMA) was applied to predict annual incidence rate for 2026. Results: From 2013 to 2025, the average annual reported incidence rate of HFMD among children aged 0-9 years in Guangzhou was 2 513.98/100 000, showing a fluctuating trend. Peaks of incidence occurred from May to July and from September to October. The male to female ratio was 1.49∶1. The average annual incidence rate was 4 743.99/100 000 in the 0-1 years age group, 3 298.19/100 000 in the 2-5 years age group, and 544.22/ 100 000 in the 6-9 years age group. Joinpoint regression analysis showed a decreasing trend in the proportion of the 0-1 years age group (APC= -6.02 %, t =-3.77) and an increasing trend in the proportion of the 6-9 years age group (APC=16.39%, t =5.67) (both P < 0.05 ). No significant global spatial clustering was observed at the district level; however, local scattered clusters were identified in certain areas. Using the SARIMA(2,0,0)(2,0,0) 12 model, the predicted annual incidence rate of HFMD among children aged 0-9 years in Guangzhou in 2026 was 2 680.56/100 000. Conclusions From 2013 to 2025, the annual incidence rate of HFMD among children aged 0-9 years in Guangzhou exhibited a fluctuating trend; the highest incidence rate is observed in the 0-1 years age group, while the proportion of cases in the 6-9 years age group increase year by year;and local spatial clusters of abnormal distribution are identified. It is essential to enhance risk monitoring and health education in key populations and areas to mitigate the risk of infection in children.

Objective Through the safety evaluation of Chinese patent medicines containing cinnabar,the correlation between the evaluation score and the content of drug instructions was analyzed.And the methods and suggestions for improving the label quality of Chinese patent medicines were proposed.Methods Establish a database of Chinese patent medicines and sim-ple preparations containing cinnabar that meet the screening criteria in the 2020 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia,and quan-titatively score such Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations from the two first level dimensions of safety and toxicity characteristics of Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations,and at the same time,grade the level of safety evidence.Results From the perspective of safety evaluation dimension,Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations with relatively high safety score(safety score ≥ 5 points)has a certain correlation with the content of adverse drug reactions clearly reported in the instructions of this kind of medicine,and 54.55％of the evidence risk of this kind of Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations is controllable,with good safety.From the perspective of the evaluation dimension of toxicity characteristics of Chi-nese patent medicines and simple preparations,the types of toxic ingredients in the compatibility of prescriptions and the scores of daily maximum dosage have certain guiding significance for clinical medication precautions.Conclusion For improving the ad-verse reaction information in the instructions of Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations containing cinnabar,and remin-ding the special population of drug use restrictions,it not only has an important impact on drug safety evaluation and grading,but also provides warning and reference for clinical and patient safety in drug use.

OBJECTIVE To review the application and development of automatic intelligent drug cabinet in hospitals at home and abroad. METHODS The relevant research articles published from 2010 to 2022 were retrieved from CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, PubMed and other databases. RESULTS The application of automatic intelligent drug cabinet could shorten the execution time of inpatient medical orders, improve the work efficiency of pharmacists and doctors and nurses, improve the quality of drug management in wards and promote the transformation of hospital pharmaceutical care. CONCLUSION The construction of decentralized dispensing mode with automated intelligent drug cabinets as the core has important theoretical guiding significance and broad application prospects for the automation, informatization, intelligence and whole process management of drugs in medical institutions, and also helps to improve the level of medical pharmacy service management.

Objective To investigate the expression of human β defensin-2(hβD-2)in the eutopic and ectopic endometrial tissue in patients with adenomyosis and in women with normal endometrium.Methods Twenty-five hysteromyoma patients with adenomyosis(AM) and 25 hysteromyoma patients without endometriosis (EMS) were selected and divided into three groups:AM ectopic endometrium group,AM eutopic endometrium group and control group( endometrial tissue in patients with hysteromyoma).The level of mRNA expressions of hβD-2,interleukin-1β ( IL-1β ),interleukin-6 ( IL-6 ) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) was investigated quantitatively using Real Time PCR (RT-PCR) and the corresponding protein level was detected by immunohistochemistry.Results Comparing the expression of hβD-2,IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α genes among the three groups,there was no significant difference between ectopic endometrium group and eutopic endometrium group and there was also no significant difference between eutopic endometrium group and the control group.( P ＞ 0.05 ).The expression of hβD-2 and IL-1β were 0.0320 (0.0095 ～ 0.0690 ) and 0.0427 ( 0.0038 ～ 0.0975 ) in the ectopic endometrium group,and they were 0.0034(0.0025 ～0.0424) and 0.0080(0.0040 ～0.0251 ) in the control group,respectively.They were both significantly higher in ectopic endometrium group than in the control group (P ＜ 0.05 ).In the ectopic endometrium group hβD-2 expression was positively correlated with the level of TNF-α ( r =0.857,P =0.014 ),and it had no correlation with both IL-1β and IL-6 ( r =0.750,P =0.052 ; r =0.464,P =0.464; respectively)Conclusion HβD-2 might not play an important role in the formation of adenomyosis.It may be related to no significant up-regulation of inflammatory factors in ectopic lesion tissue.

Objective To describe the chnical, neuroimagine, pathological and genetic features in a case with mitochondrial myopathy, encephalopathy, lactic acidosis and stroke-like episodes (MELAS)/Leigh overlap syndrome.Methods The ease was a 22-year-old woman with recurrent headache, loss of visual acuity and general seizures over 11 years.MRI demonstrated symmetrical high T2-weighted signals in occipital and parietal lobes, in the late stage of the disease, the above imagine changes on MRJ were also shown in the bilateral basal ganglion and brainstem.She died of status epilepticus at age of 22.Brain autopsy and mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) analysis were performed in the patient.Results The main neuropathological findings were muhifocal and lamilar spongiform in the cortex of the whole brain, the basal ganglion and middle brain.Gliosis, macrophagie reaction and capillary endothelial proliferation were observed in these areas.All 6 layers of the cortex and subcortical white matter in occipital and parietal lobes were severely affected.GI3513A mutation was found in the gene of mitochondria encoded NADH dehydrogenase subunit 5 (MTNDS).Conclusions MELAS/Leigh overlap syndrome presents the symptoms predominantly affecting the cerebral cortex.Neuroimagines suggested that the lesion initially involves the cerebral cortex and in the late stage implicates the basal ganglion and the brainstem, possibly caused by pathological changes of spongiform with capillary proliferation in these areas.
