OBJECTIVE Explore the influencing factors of hearing loss among workers exposed to noise.METHODS A total of 167 noise exposure practitioners undergoing hearing testing in Hangzhou Occupational Disease Prevention and Treatment Center from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected to perform hearing testing on the left and right ears of the patients.Based on the test results,the patients were divided into 123 hearing loss patients(loss group)and 44 non hearing loss patients(control group).The population characteristics,laboratory indicators,noise exposure,and other indicators of the two groups were compared.Logistic regression models were used to analyze the risk factors for hearing loss in noise exposed workers.RESULTS In the 2 000,3 000,4 000,and 6 000 Hz air conduction hearing threshold tests,the hearing threshold of the right side of the loss group patients was higher than that of the control group.In the 500,1 000,2 000,3 000,4 000,and 6 000 Hz air conduction hearing threshold tests,the hearing threshold of the left side of the loss group patients was higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The age of patients in the loss group,the proportion of patients with concurrent chronic diseases,and the proportion of patients with junior high school education or below were all significantly different from those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The length of service and the proportion of patients with liver function loss in the loss group were significantly higher than those in the control group.The proportion of noise protection patients and those who frequently use noise protection equipment in the loss group were significantly lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of the Logistic regression model showed that older age,comorbidities with chronic diseases,longer working experience,lack of noise protection,and occasional or never use of noise protection equipment were independent risk factors for hearing loss in noise exposed workers(P<0.05).CONCLUSION There are many factors that can affect the occurrence of hearing loss among workers exposed to noise.Targeted preventive interventions based on high-risk factors can reduce the risk of hearing loss in the population.

Noncarious lesions,a multifactorial condition encompassing tooth attrition,abrasion,and erosion,have a surge in prevalence and required increased attention in clinical practice.These nonbacterial-associated tooth de-fects can compromise aesthetics,phonetics,and mastica-tory functions.When providing full-arch fixed occlusal rehabilitation for such cases,the treatment strategy should extend beyond by restoring dentition morphology and aesthetics.This report details a complex case of erosive dental wear addressed through a fully digital,full-arch fixed occlusal rehabilitation.A 4D virtual patient was created using multiple digital data sources,including intraoral scanning,3D facial scanning,digital facebow registration,and mandibular movement tracing.With a comprehensive understanding of the masticatory system,various types of microinvasive prostheses were customized for each tooth,including labial ve-neers,buccal-occlusal veneers,occlusal veneers,overlays,inlays,and full crowns,were customized for each tooth.The reported digital workflow offered a predictable diagnostic and treatment strategy,which was facilitated by virtual visual-ization and comprehensive quality control throughout the process.

Objective:To compare the efficacy of closed-loop target-controlled deep versus moderate neuromuscular blockade in gynecological laparoscopic surgery.Methods:This was a prospective study. Fifty American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Status classification I or Ⅱ patients, aged 18-64 yr, with body mass index of 18-30 kg/m 2, scheduled for elective gynecological laparoscopic surgery in the General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University from March 2020 to March 2021, were allocated into 2 groups ( n=25 each) using a random number table method: closed-loop target-controlled moderate neuromuscular blockade group (group TOF) and closed-loop target-controlled deep neuromuscular blockade group (group PTC). Rocuronium was given by closed-loop target-controlled infusion in both groups. In group TOF, the target muscle relaxation was considered as train-of-four stimulation (TOF) of 1 or 2. In group PTC, the target muscle relaxation was considered as post-titanic count of 1 or 2. The score for operator′s satisfaction with muscle relaxation, grading, satisfaction rate, mean pneumo-peritoneum pressure, consumption of rocuronium, recovery index, recovery time to a TOF ratio 0.9 and time to extubation were recorded. The postoperative visual analogue scale score for abdominal pain and use of rescue analgesics were recorded, and the occurrence of complications such as shoulder pain, arm pain, nausea, vomiting and hypoxemia was also recorded within 48 h after surgery. Results:Compared with group TOF, the score for operator′s satisfaction with muscle relaxation, grading and satisfaction rate were significantly increased, the mean pneumo-peritoneum pressure was decreased, the total and average consumption of rocuronium was increased, the recovery time of a TOF ratio 0.9 was prolonged, and the postoperative visual analogue scale score for abdominal pain and usage rate of flurbiprofenate were decreased in group PTC ( P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the recovery index, tracheal extubation time or postoperative incidence of hypoxemia, shoulder pain, arm pain and nausea and vomiting between the two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Compared with the closed-loop target-controlled moderate neuromuscular blockade, the closed-loop target-controlled deep neuromuscular blockade provides more satisfactory surgical conditions for gynecological laparoscopic surgery, decreases pneumoperitoneum pressure and reduces related complications, without increasing the development of postoperative adverse reactions.

Objective:To investigate the role of survivin in the regulation of leptin expression and its sensitivity.Methods:Survivin was overexpressed in adipocytes via lentivirus, and the RNA-sequencing(RNA-seq) was used to explore the effect of survivin on the regulation of adipocyte secretory proteins. Survivin was overexpressed in the inguinal adipose tissue(iWAT) of mice by targeted injection of adeno-associated virus(AAV). The transcription levels of leptin and adiponectin were detected by realtime quantitative PCR(RT-qPCR), and the secretion levels of leptin and adiponectin in cellular supernatants and mice serum were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). The protein level of phosphorylated signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3) in hypothalamus was detected by Western blotting to investigate the effect of survivin on central leptin sensitivity.Results:Survivin overexpression in both 3T3-L1 and primary white adipocyte significantly down-regulated the leptin transcriptional expression without affecting the adipocyte differentiation( P<0.01). Overexpression of survivin significantly decreased leptin level without affecting the adiponectin levels in the cellular supernatant( P<0.001). Overexpression of survivin in iWAT via AAV injection, not only specifically down-regulated leptin transcriptional level in a dose dependent manner in local adipose tissue, but also led to a decrease in serum leptin level( P<0.05). In mice fed short-term high-fat diet, STAT3 phosphorylation level in hypothalamus significantly increased, suggesting improved central leptin sensitivity. Conclusion:Survivin could downregulate leptin expression and improve leptin sensitivity in high-fat diet induced obese mice.

OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the immunogenicity and osteogenic ability of animal-derived bone graft material decellularized with supercritical carbon dioxide. METHODS: Porcine femurs were randomly divided into two groups after preliminary treatment, and decellularized with conventional method (control group) or supercritical carbon dioxide (experimental group). Allogenic demineralized bone matrix was used as positive control. Clearance rate of galactose-α-1, 3-galactose (α-Gal) antigen was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and residual DNA was detected by a fluorescence method. Nine SPF-grade male athymic nude mice of 6 weeks old were randomly divided into experimental, control and positive control groups. Samples were implanted over biceps femoris muscle of athymic nude mice. The explants were collected 4 weeks post implantation. Hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining and immunohistochemistry were applied to determine the osteogenic ability and bone tissue-associated protein expressions of the implants. RESULTS: The clearance rates of α-Gal antigen in the experimental group and the control group were (99.09±0.26)% and (30.18±2.02)%, respectively (t=58.67, P<0.01). The residual DNA of the experimental, control and positive control groups were (13.49±0.07), (15.20±0.21) and (14.70±0.17) ng/mg. The residual DNA in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group (t=－13.41, P<0.01) and positive control group (t=－11.30, P<0.01). HE staining results showed that multiple bone formation centers with active osteogenesis and rich bone marrow were observed in experimental group 4 weeks after implantation, but only a small number of bone formation centers were observed in the control and positive control groups, with no obvious osteoblasts present. Immunohistochemistry results indicated that the expressions of alkaline phosphatase, Runt-related transcription factor 2, collagen typeⅠand osteocalcin in the experimental group showed an increasing trend compared with those in the control and positive control groups. CONCLUSIONS Compared with clinically used allogenic demineralized bone matrix and bone graft material decellularized with conventional method, bone graft material decellularized with supercritical carbon dioxide exhibits lower immunogenicity and better osteogenic ability.

Objective To describe and analyze the disease burden and its changing trend of liver cancer caused by nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) in China from 1990 to 2019, and to provide reference for reducing the morbidity and mortality of liver cancer in China. Methods Based on data from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD2019) study, different gender and age groups were selected. The morbidity, mortality, and disability adjusted life year (DALY) rate were used to analyze the disease burden of liver cancer caused by NASH in China from 1990 to 2019. The time trend was analyzed by using the Joinpoint regression model, and the annual percent of change (APC) and annual average percentage change (AAPC) of morbidity, mortality and DALY rate were calculated. Results Compared with 1990, the incidence rate, mortality rate and DALY rate of liver cancer caused by NASH in 2019 decreased by 4.05%, 12% and 25.79%, respectively. Age-standardized morbidity, standardized mortality and standardized DALY rates decreased by 49.50%, 54.72% and 58.45%, respectively. In 2019, the incidence rate, mortality data and DALY rate of liver cancer caused by NASH increased with age, and the highest mortality rate was among people over 85 years old. The average annual change percentage (AAPC) of age-standardized incidence rate, standardized mortality rate and standardized DALY rate of liver cancer caused by NASH from 1990 to 2019 were -2.65% ［95% CI（-3.09%，-2.21 %），P<0.001］, -2.86%［95% CI（-3.34%，-2.38 %），P<0.001］, and -2.91%［95% CI（-3.23%，-2.58%），P<0.001］，respectively. The AAPC of all indexes in males was higher than that in females. Conclusion From 1990 to 2019, the disease burden of liver cancer caused by NASH in China showed an overall downward trend. The AAPC of all indexes in males is higher than that in females, and the elderly population is a high-risk group.

Objective: To investigate the prevalence and types of maternal near miss in Hangzhou City from 2015 to 2020, so as to provide insights into early identification and interventions for maternal near miss. Methods: The data of maternal near miss in 5 hospitals of Hangzhou City from 2015 to 2020 were collected from China's National Maternal Near Miss Obstetrics Surveillance System, and the incidence and mortality of maternal near miss, types of pregnancy-related complications/comorbidities and types of critical illness were descriptively analyzed. Results: Totally 230 490 pregnant and lying-in women were recruited in 5 hospitals in Hangzhou City from 2015 to 2020, and there were 182 514 live births, 177 428 women with pregnancy-related complications/comorbidities, and 1 790 cases of maternal near miss with a 0.98% annual incidence rate. The incidence of maternal near miss was high in 2019 (1.18%). The hospital mortality and death index were respectively 3.29/105 and 0.33% among pregnant and lying-in women from 2015 to 2020, and there was no death found among pregnant and lying-in women from 2018 to 2020. The main pregnancy-related complications/comorbidities included anemia (79.33%), obstetric hemorrhagic disorders (69.83%), and gestational hypertension (16.65%). The main critical illness among maternal near miss included coagulation dysfunction (87.23/104), cardiovascular dysfunction (20.44/104), and respiratory dysfunction (9.70/104). Conclusions The incidence of maternal near miss was high and the hospital mortality appeared a reduction tendency among pregnant and lying-in women in Hangzhou City from 2015 to 2020. Coagulation dysfunction is the primary critical illness among maternal near miss, and the management of anemia and hemorrhagic diseases requires to be improved.

Functional hubs with disproportionately extensive connectivities play a crucial role in global information integration in human brain networks. However, most resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (R-fMRI) studies have identified functional hubs by examining spontaneous fluctuations of the blood oxygen level-dependent signal within a typical low-frequency band (e.g., 0.01-0.08 Hz or 0.01-0.1 Hz). Little is known about how the spatial distributions of functional hubs depend on frequency bands of interest. Here, we used repeatedly measured R-fMRI data from 53 healthy young adults and a degree centrality analysis to identify voxelwise frequency-resolved functional hubs and further examined their test-retest reliability across two sessions. We showed that a wide-range frequency band (0.01-0.24 Hz) accessible with a typical sampling rate (f_sample = 0.5 Hz) could be classified into three frequency bands with distinct patterns, namely, low-frequency (LF, 0.01-0.06 Hz), middle-frequency (MF, 0.06-0.16 Hz), and high-frequency (HF, 0.16-0.24 Hz) bands. The functional hubs were mainly located in the medial and lateral frontal and parietal cortices in the LF band, and in the medial prefrontal cortex, superior temporal gyrus, parahippocampal gyrus, amygdala, and several cerebellar regions in the MF and HF bands. These hub regions exhibited fair to good test-retest reliability, regardless of the frequency band. The presence of the three frequency bands was well replicated using an independent R-fMRI dataset from 45 healthy young adults. Our findings demonstrate reliable frequency-resolved functional connectivity hubs in three categories, thus providing insights into the frequency-specific connectome organization in healthy and disordered brains.
