Objective To investigate the epidemiological characteristics and influencing factors of Femoral Artery Compression-Related Skin Complications Around the Puncture Site(FACR-SCAPS)in patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)undergoing transarterial chemoembolization(TACE).Methods A multicenter cross-sectional study was conducted using convenience sampling.A total of 1 573 HCC patients who underwent TACE between April 2023 and October 2024 were recruited from interventional radiology departments,oncology units,and specialized centers across 10 hospitals in Beijing,Tianjin,Shandong,Hebei,Qinghai,and Inner Mongolia.Descriptive statistics,univariate analysis,and multivariate logistic regression were used to explore the epidemiological characteristics and influencing factors of FACR-SCAPS in this population.Results Among the 1 573 primary HCC patients undergoing TACE interventional therapy,FACR-SCAPS occurred in 28.99％(456/1 573),with a total of 476 complication instances recorded(30.26 per 100 patients).Patients with a single complication accounted for 96.93％,whereas those with multiple complications constituted 3.07％.The most prevalent types of complications were skin erythema,skin ecchymosis,and hard lumps formation,collectively accounting for 96.49％of all complications.Hematoma,blisters,and rupture complications collectively accounted for only 4.61％.Logistic regression analysis revealed that peak diastolic blood pressure during compression(OR=1.024,95％CI:1.013-1.035,P＜0.001),use of rotary compression hemostasis devices(OR=3.220,95％CI:2.120-4.891,P＜0.001),elevated PT-INR(OR=19.630,95％CI:6.039-63.810,P＜0.001),and anticoagulant use within the last three months(OR=1.909,95％CI:1.064-3.427,P=0.030)were significant influencing factors associated with FACR-SCAPS post-TACE.Conclusion FACR-SCAPS is commonly seen among primary HCC patients after TACE,its risk factors include peak diastolic blood pressure during compression,use of rotary compression devices,elevated PT-INR,and recent anticoagulant use.

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of radical surgery combined with irradiation in the treatment of rectal cancer and its effect on the angiogenesis and survival rate.Methods A total of 200 colorectal cancer patients admitted to Zhengzhou Central Hospital from March,2014 to March,2015 were recruited and divided into the observation group (n=105) and control group (n=95) by using random number table method.In the control group,radical surgery was performed,and radical surgery combined with irradiation was conducted in the observation group.The clinical efficacy,the serum levels of vascular endothelial growth factor-C (VEGF-C) and prostaglandin E2(PGE2) were statistically compared between the control and observation groups.The changes of the microvascular morphology and microvessel density (MVD) in the rectal cancer tissues were observed and recorded.The 3-year survival rate was calculated during postoperative follow-up.Results After corresponding treatment,the clinical overall response rate was 86.67％ in the observation group,and 70.53％ in the control group (P＞0.05).The 2-year survival rate did not significantly differ between two groups (P＞0.05).The 3-year survival rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P＜0.05).After treatment,the serum levels of VEGF-C and PGE2 were significantly improved in two groups (both P＜0.05).In the observation group,the serum levels of VEGF-C and PGE2 were significantly lower compared with those in the control group (both P＜0.05).The microvessel morphology in the cancer tissues remarkably differed between two groups.The microvessel diameter did not significantly differ,whereas the lumen diameter in the observation group was significantly smaller than that in the control group.The MVD in the observation group was 12.25±3.35,significantly lower than 28.14± 17.26 in the control group (P＜0.05).Conclusion Radical surgery combined with irradiation is an efficacious treatment of rectal cancer,which can effectively improve the serum levels of VEGF-C and PGE2,decrease the MVD,reduce the lumen diameter in the cancer tissues,lower the angiogenesis in rectal cancer and enhance the survival rate,which deserves widespread application in clinical practice.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for simultaneous determination of 5 kinds residual ethanol,acetone,ethylacetate,N,N-diisopropylethylamine and toluene in favipiravir.METHODS:Headspace GC was adopted.The determination was performed on DB-624 capillary column,temperature programmed.The inlet temperature was 220 ℃,and detector was flame ionization detector with temperature of 250 ℃.Nitrogen was used as carrier gas at flow rate of 2.0 mL/min,split ratio was 10 ∶ 1,headspace equilibrium temperature was 80 ℃,equilibrium time was 20 min and headspace sample size was 1 mL.RESULTS:The linear range was 10.0-501.4 μg/mL for ethanol(r=0.999 9),10.0-501.4 μg/mL for acetone (r=0.999 9),10.1-502.6 μg/mL for ethylacetate (r=0.999 9),0.2-11.4 μg/mL for N,N-diisopropylethylamine (r=0.999 9)and 1.8-89.4 μg/mL for acetone(r=0.999 7).The limits of quantification were 5.3,3.4,5.2,6.1 and 20.4 μg/mL,and the limits of detection were 1.4,1.1,1.3,1.6,5.9 μg/mL.RSD of precision test was lower than 4.0％,and RSDs of acetone in stability and reproducibility tests were both lower than 4.0％.The recoveries were 96.61％-99.70％ (RSD=1.01％,n=9),95.81％-99.50％ (RSD=1.29％,n=9),96.42％-99.76％ (RSD=1.24％,n=9),96.36％-99.30％ (RSD=1.19％,n=9),97.00％-99.51％ (RSD=0.82％,n=9).CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple,accurate,reproducible and can be used for simultaneous determination of 5 organic solvents in favipiravir.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the similarity of in vitro dissolution of self-made and original preparation of Ramelteon tablet. METHODS:The paddle method was adopted with rotational speed of 50 r/min,using water,pH1.2 hydrochloric acid solu-tion,pH4.0 acetate buffer solution and pH6.8 phosphate buffer solution as dissolution media,HPLC was used to determine the cu-mulative dissolution of main components of self-made and original preparation of Ramelteon tablet at different time points,dissolu-tion profile was drew,then f2 was used to evaluate its similarity. RESULTS:In the 4 dissolution media,the f2 of self-made and original preparation of Ramelteon tablet was 62.8,80.0,77.7,76.2,respectively,which indicated that the dissolution profiles showed similarity. CONCLUSIONS:The established HPLC is suitable for the dissolution determination of Ramelteon tablet;the dissolution profiles of the self-made and original preparations are similar,it preliminary indicates the prescription and technological rationality of self-made preparation.

Objective:To explore the putative role of CD40 and COX-2 expression in human esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)and to analyze their possible relationship with angiogenesis in ESCC.Methods:The expression of CD40 and COX-2 was detected in 79 ESCC and 28 normal esophageal epithelial tissue samples with immunohistochemical staining.The microvessel density by CD34 was determined and the clinicopathological significance of CD40 and COX-2 expression in ESCC was analyzed.In addition,the expression of CD40 and COX-2 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cell line Eca109 and primary cultured normal esophageal epithelial cells in vivo was comparatively studied with immunocytochemical staining andWestern blot.Results:Compared with that in normal epithelial tissues,the expression of CD40 and COX-2 in ESCC was significantly higher(54.43%vs 10.71%:69.62%vs 17.86%:respectively,P<0.05).The positive expression rate of CD40 in ESCC cases with lymph node metastasis was significantly higher than that in those without lymph node metastasis(70.37%vs 46.1 5%.P<0.05).No correlation was found between CD40 expression and patient age,sex,tumor location,size and differentiation of tumors.No clinicopathological significanca of COX-2 expression in ESCC was found.There was a positive correlation between CD40 expression and COX-2 expression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(P<0.05,φ=0.446).The mean MVD value in ESCC was significantly higher than that in normal esophageal tissue(25.02±5.52 vs 12.09±4.55,P<0.05).MVD value in ESCC was closely correlated with lymph node metastasis.The mean MVD value in ESCC cases with positive CD40 and COX-2 expression was higher than that in those with negative CD40 and COX-2expression(26.37±6.02 vs 22.58±5.25.P<0.05).Western blot results showed that CD40 and COX-2 expression in Eca109 was higher than that in cultured normal esophageal epithelial cells (P<0.05).Conclusion:The expression of CD40 is involved in the carcinogenesis and progression of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.CD40 may play an important role in the angiogenesis of ESCC through promoting COX-2 expression.
