Objective To investigate the characteristics and correlation between peak oxygen uptake(VO?peak)and heart rate recov-ery(HRR)during cardiopulmonary exercise test(CPET)in patients with coronary borderline lesions. Methods From January,2022 to January,2024,183 patients with coronary borderline lesions in Beijing Bo'ai Hospital were divided into low cardiorespiratory fitness(LCF)group(n=61),moderate cardiorespiratory fitness(MCF)group(n=62)and high cardiorespiratory fitness(HCF)group(n=60)based on VO?peak.Their characteristics and CPET parameters including VO?peak,exercise-phase heart rate(HR1,HR2,HR3),and post-exercise heart rate recovery(HRR1,HRR2,HRR3)were analyzed. Results After adjusting for age and body mass index, analysis of covariance showed that the peak heart rate,HR1,HR2 and HR3 were the lowest in LCF group(F>5.388,P<0.01).Repeated-measures analysis of variance showed that the inter-and intra-group effects were significant in HRR(F>14.561,P<0.001).Partial correlation analy-sis showed that VO?peak positively correlated with HRR1(r=0.404,P<0.001),HRR2(r=0.379,P<0.001)and HRR3(r=0.425,P<0.001).Conclusion In patients with coronary artery borderline lesions,VO?peak demonstrated a significant inverse correlation with HRR,the lower the VO?peak, the more delays of HRR.

Objective To observe early changes of left atrial strain and left atrial stiffness index(LASI)in rabbits with left ventricular myocardial injury induced by adriamycin(ADM).Methods Eighteen New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into experimental group(n=12)and control group(n=6),while 2 mg/kg ADM was injected into rabbits in experimental group and 5 ml physiological saline was injected into rabbits in control group every week for a total of 4 weeks.Ultrasound examination was performed before injection of ADM/physiological saline,2 and 4 weeks after injection, respectively.Left atrial anteroposterior diameter(LAAPD),left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),lateral wall of mitral ring of early peak flow velocity(e),mitral valve orifice early peak flow velocity(E)/e,left ventricular global longitudinal strain(LVGLS),right ventricular collectivity long axis strain(RVCLS),left atrial strain during reservoir phase(LASr),left atrial strain during conduit phase(LAScd),left atrial strain during contraction phase(LASct)and LASI were obtained and analyzed. After ultrasound examination, myocardial changes were observed with pathological examination. Results Four weeks after injection,e in experimental group was significantly lower than that before injection, also lower than that 2 and 4 weeks after injection in control group(all P<0.05).Significant differences of LASr,LAScd,LASct and LASI were found among different time points between groups(all P<0.05).Two and 4 weeks after injection, the above 4 parameters in experimental group were all significantly different with those in control group(all P<0.05).LASr,LASct and LASI were different among different time points, while LAScd before injection was higher than that 2 and 4 weeks after injection in experimental group(all P<0.05).The pathological findings supported ultrasonic changes. Conclusion In early stage of ADM induced left ventricular myocardial injury in rabbits, changes of left atrial strain and LASI could be seen, which were more significant than those of LVGLS,RVCLS and LVEF,etc.

Objective To construct a nomogram prediction model for predicting hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)failure in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients.Methods A total of 936 inpatients with T2DM admitted to the Department of Endocrinology of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong Second Medical University from January 2021 to January 2022 were selected as the research objects and divided into the non-standard group(HbA1c≥7%,n=801)and the standard group(HbA1c<7%,n=135).Univariate analysis was used to screen the related factors of HbA1c failure.Logistic regression multivariate model was used to analyze the influencing factors of HbA1c failure in T2DM patients. The R language was used to construct a nomogram, and the area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve(AUC)was used to evaluate the predictive ability of the model. The C-index and Hosmer-Lemeshow test were used to evaluate the discrimination and calibration of the model. Results There were statistically significant differences in triglyceride(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, direct bilirubin, urinary albumin/creatinine ratio(UACR),self-monitoring of blood glucose(SMBG),meat and vegetable pairing, hot pot, whole grain and animal viscera consumption between the two groups(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that TG(OR 1.699,95%CI 1.298~2.222),UACR(OR 1.003,95%CI 1.001~1.005),SMGB(OR 0.480,95%CI 0.313~0.735),more meat and less vegetables(OR 1.432,95%CI 1.062~1.931)were the influencing factors of HbA1c failure. The AUC of the nomogram prediction model based on the influencing factors was 0.711,with C-index 0.710(95%CI 0.663~0.758)and good calibration(χ2=11.185,P=0.191).Conclusions The nomogram prediction model for HbA1c failure in T2DM patients established based on TG,UACR,SMGB,meat and vegetarian mix has good discrimination and calibration, which can provide certain reference value for warning of poor blood glucose control.

Objective:To investigate the effects of psychosocial factors on early puberty and its sex specific differences. Methods:Bengbu Yuhui Longitudinal Study of Children Development Cohort, consisting of 1 162 students in grades 1-3 (524 girls) and their parents, was established in April 2021 in Bengbu, Anhui Province. The parents were surveyed by questionnaire to collect the information about their children's 56 items of psychosocial factor exposures, including 5 dimensions: major life events, early life adversity, interpersonal/relational conflict, family economic status and daily life troubles. Pubertal growth and physical examinations were conducted by trained professionals at baseline, the 1 st (May 2022), 2 nd (October 2022), 3 rd (May 2023), and 4 th (October 2023) follow-up surveys. In this study, the pubertal development status data were from the 4 th follow-up examination. Fianally, the valid data on pubertal development of 1 105 children were obtained, including the data from 510 girls (46.15%). Multinomial logistic regression model was used to analyze the association between psychosocial factors and early puberty, and the final predictors of early puberty were explored by using four models [least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO), multiple logistic regression, ridge regression, and Bayesian]. Results:The detection rates of early puberty in boys and girls were 13.60% and 16.30%, respectively. The median of intra-group absolute correlation of psychosocial factor exposure (0.042-0.066) was generally higher than that of inter-group among girls (0.031-0.059), while no similar diference was found among boys. LASSO model showed that moving house, being raised by someone other than parents, sexual abuse, peer conflict, high monthly household income, and high exposure to electronics on school days were predictors of early puberty in girls, while moving house and high monthly household income were the predictors of early puberty in girls in all four models (LASSO, multiple logistic regression, ridge regression, and Bayesian). Among boys, only a transient loss from family was a predictor of early puberty. Conclusion:Early puberty in children can be predicted by psychosocial factors, and there are gender-specific differences.
