1.Analysis of the Burden of Acute Lymphoid Leukemia in China and Globally from 1990 to 2021

To analyze the disease burden of acute lymphoid leukemia(ALL) and its changing trends in China and globally from 1990 to 2021, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for disease prevention, treatment, and policy formulation. Data on the incidence, prevalence, mortality, and disability adjusted life years(DALYs) of ALL in China and globally from 1990 to 2021 were extracted from the Global Burden of Disease(GBD) 2021 database. The Joinpoint regression model was used to calculate the average annual percentage change(AAPC) to assess the trends in disease burden. Decomposition analysis was employed to identify and quantify the contributions of different factors to the changes in ALL disease burden. The population attributable fraction(PAF) was used to compare the risk factors for ALL in China and globally in 1990 and 2021. Stratified by the sociodemographic index(SDI), the locally estimated scatterplot smoothing(LOESS) method was used to assess the association between age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR), age-standardized mortality rate(ASMR), and SDI. The incidence-mortality ratio(IMR) was calculated to evaluate the diagnostic level and current treatment status of ALL. From 1990 to 2021, ASIR of ALL in the Chinese population increased from 3.385/100 000 to 3.637/100 000(AAPC: 0.005), the age-standardized prevalence rate(ASPR) increased from 6.596/100 000 to 22.022/100 000(AAPC: 0.478), the ASMR decreased from 3.051/100 000 to 1.357/100 000(AAPC: -0.056), and the age-standardized DALYs rate(ASDR) decreased from 195.792/100 000 to 74.063/100 000(AAPC: -3.996). Globally, the corresponding figures were: ASIR decreased from 1.789/100 000 to 1.371/100 000(AAPC: -0.014), ASPR increased from 4.122/100 000 to 5.425/100 000(AAPC: 0.039), ASMR decreased from 1.551/100 000 to 0.898/100 000(AAPC: -0.021), and ASDR decreased from 94.894/100 000 to 48.858/100 000(AAPC: -1.494). During this period, the aforementioned disease burden indicators were generally higher in males than in females, both in China and globally.In 2021, the peak incidence of ALL in China and globally was primarily concentrated in the 0-19 years age group, with the highest rate observed in those under 5 years of age. The burden of prevalence and DALYs was also mainly concentrated in this age group. Regarding mortality, the death burden in China was predominantly observed in the older adult age group, particularly among those aged ≥60 years. Globally, the mortality burden was highest in the under-5 age group, while remaining at a relatively high level in the older adult population. SDI correlation analysis based on data from 204 countries/regions globally from 1990 to 2021 showed that ASIR gradually increased with increasing SDI, whereas ASMR showed an initial increase followed by a decreasing trend. The ASIR and ASMR for the overall Chinese population and by sex were higher than expected. PAF results indicated that smoking and high body mass index were the main attributable risk factors for ALL mortality and DALYs burden, with their contribution consistently increasing. Decomposition analysis revealed that population growth and epidemiological changes were the primary drivers behind the changes in ALL incidence and mortality burden. Compared with 1990, the IMR for ALL in both China and globally increased in 2021. Over the past three decades, the ASMR and ASDR for ALL in China and globally have generally declined. During the same period, the ASIR and ASPR for ALL increased in China, while globally, the ASIR decreased and the ASPR increased. However, the disease burden of ALL remains high in males, children, and the older adult population. Differentiated prevention and control measures should be implemented in accordance with changes in SDI. The findings highlight the importance of strengthening prevention and early diagnosis, and suggest the need for targeted screening and treatment strategies for different age and sex groups. Concurrently, attention should be paid to the role of weight management and tobacco control in comprehensive prevention and control efforts to further reduce the disease burden of ALL.
2.Effect of medical-community linkage model on psychological status and motor function in community-dwelling patients with stroke

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of the medical-community linkage model on activities of daily living, psychological status and motor function of stroke patients in the community. MethodsA total of 60 stroke patients admitted to two community health service centers and their affiliated stations in Fengtai District, Beijing, from January, 2024 to August, 2025 were enrolled and randomly divided into control group (n = 30) and intervention group (n = 30). The control group received routine medicine, dietary care and rehabilitation management, while the intervention group underwent rehabilitation with the medical-community linkage model, for twelve weeks. They were assessed with modified Barthel Index (MBI), Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA), Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) and Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) before and after intervention. ResultsAfter intervention, the MBI, HAMA, HAMD and FMA scores of patients improved in both groups (|t| > 5.599, P < 0.001), and improved more in the intervention group than in the control group (P < 0.05), except MBI. The HAMA and HAMD scores of family members decreased in both groups (|t| > 10.333, P < 0.001), and decreased more in the intervention group than in the control group (t > 5.681, P < 0.001). ConclusionThe medical-community linkage model can further improve the motor function of stroke patients in community, as well as the psychological status of both patients and their family members.
3.Application and Prospects of Simultaneous Multicomponent Extraction Technology in Biological Samples

With the rapid development of the biopharmaceutical field, the efficient and simultaneous extraction of multiple biological components from biological samples has become a critical process for advancing scientific research. The ability to simultaneously extract various molecular components such as metabolites, DNA, RNA, and proteins is pivotal for multi-omics studies, which aim to comprehensively understand the molecular mechanisms of biological systems. Traditional methods often extract these components separately, leading to challenges such as sample loss, time consumption, contamination, and inconsistencies across different data types. In contrast, simultaneous extraction techniques address these issues by maintaining the consistency of each biological component’s physiological state, improving data reliability and facilitating integration across omic platforms. This review systematically summarizes recent advances in simultaneous extraction technologies, focusing on methods such as methanol/chloroform extraction, TRIzol reagent extraction, and modified Folch extraction, which have shown significant promise in improving the efficiency and integrity of biological sample preparation. These methods offer various advantages, such as reduced sample volume requirements, decreased contamination risk, and enhanced extraction consistency, which are crucial for studies involving small sample sizes or precious clinical specimens. Among these, methanol/chloroform extraction stands out for its simplicity, low cost, and ability to extract a wide range of biological molecules. However, it does face limitations, such as its inefficiency in extracting lipids and potential RNA contamination. On the other hand, the TRIzol reagent method has become a widely adopted technique due to its ability to simultaneously isolate RNA, proteins, and metabolites from the same sample. Despite its effectiveness, the TRIzol method has limitations in RNA quality, especially when handling complex samples or those with high protein content. Modified Folch extraction, which combines liquid-liquid extraction with commercial kits, offers a highly efficient way to extract polar metabolites, lipids, RNA, DNA, and proteins from small tissue samples. This method has proven advantageous in terms of extraction yield, especially for challenging or rare samples, although it requires precise handling to avoid cross-contamination between phases. The integration of automated platforms, microfluidics, and high-throughput systems is another exciting avenue for improving simultaneous extraction. Automation facilitates large-scale, reproducible sample processing with minimal human error, while microfluidics provides high precision in sample handling and enables real-time monitoring of extraction efficiency. These innovations not only enhance the speed and reproducibility of sample preparation but also open new possibilities for single-cell analysis, where sample volumes are often limited, and extraction efficiency is critical. In addition to the technical aspects, the review also highlights the importance of optimizing extraction protocols for specific sample types, such as clinical tissues, plants, and microorganisms. For example, the challenge of extracting multiple components from cancer tissues, where sample degradation and contamination risks are high, can be mitigated by carefully selecting extraction reagents and minimizing sample handling steps. Similarly, in plant studies, where metabolite diversity is vast, the simultaneous extraction methods must be optimized to account for the unique composition of plant tissues, which often include complex secondary metabolites and cell wall components. Looking forward, the development of more efficient and standardized simultaneous extraction methods will be crucial for advancing multi-omics research. There is a growing need for protocols that can be tailored to specific research needs, ensuring both reproducibility and flexibility in diverse applications. Additionally, combining these extraction methods with high-resolution analytical techniques such as mass spectrometry and next-generation sequencing will further enhance the potential of multi-omics studies to provide comprehensive insights into biological systems. As these technologies continue to evolve, their application in personalized medicine, environmental research, and agriculture holds great promise for addressing critical scientific challenges. 5.Research on In-Situ Extractive Ionization for Original Ecological Samples and Its Miniature Device

Current ambient mass spectrometry ionization often requires external auxiliary equipment such as high-voltage power supply,gas cylinder,and syringe pump.Moreover,the process of sample preparation is cumbersome,and the experimental operations are complex,which makes it difficult to adapt to real-time on-site detection.In this work,a novel method was proposed,in which direct sampling of raw samples,online extraction of interest analytes,and ionization of target molecules were integrated into a single unit.With the developed method,the in-situ extraction and nano-electrospray ionization for both liquid and solid raw samples were achieved.Also,a handheld ion source and its pose adjustment device were developed,and the position and angle parameters were subsequently optimized.The performance of the ionization device was tested using standard solutions of caffeine and reserpine.The limits of detection(LODs)were 0.08 μg/L and 0.14 μg/L,with relative standard deviations(RSDs)≤3.7% and≤5.6%,respectively,indicating that the device possessed high sensitivity and stability.Using this device,three different concentrations of reserpine standard solutions were continuously tested for five days.The intra-day RSDs were consistently≤4.7% and the inter-day RSDs were all≤10.3%,showing the good working stability of the device.Without any pretreatment,a rapid qualitative detection of medicinal components including astragaloside II and cycloastragenol in five traditional Chinese medicines was carried out,with RSDs≤8.0% and≤7.1%,respectively.Additionally,rapid qualitative detection of gallic acid,a medicinal component,in white peony roots,and hypaphorine as well as quercetin in cowherb seeds were carried out,with RSDs≤7.0%,≤6.4% and≤6.1%,respectively.These results demonstrated that the ionization technology and device exhibited good stability during qualitative detection of raw samples.
6.AuNPs-FeCDs Dual Nanozyme Cascade System Integrated with A Smartphone Platform for Sensitive Detection of Glucose

A centrifugation-free,single-reaction colorimetric method for detection of glucose,utilizing a dual nanozyme cascade system based on gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)and iron-doped carbon dots(FeCDs),was developed in this work.The AuNPs exhibited glucose oxidase-like activity to catalyze glucose oxidation for generation of H2O2,while the FeCDs demonstrated peroxidase-like activity to subsequently catalyze the H2O2-mediated oxidation of 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB).To prevent interference from the blue signal generated by self-aggregation of AuNPs in subsequent quantitative detection,the reaction system was terminated with HCl,converting oxTMB into a stable yellow product.Based on changes in the absorbance at 450 nm of this yellow solution,a quantitative relationship was established between glucose concentration and absorbance at 450 nm(A450).Experimental results demonstrated that this sensor achieved a linear detection range of 44 μmol/L to 11.11 mmol/L(R2=0.993)with a detection limit of 30.68 μmol/L and spiked recoveries of 97.9%-104.7%.By integrating smartphone-based color recognition capabilities,a rapid visual detection platform was established for quantification of glucose through RGB analysis.The validation experimental results using commercial glucose injection samples further confirmed the practical application potential of this methodology.
7.Burden and Trends of Motor Neuron Disease in China and Globally from 1990 to 2021

To analyze the disease burden and trends of motor neuron disease(MND) in China and globally from 1990 to 2021, providing evidence for the formulation of relevant health strategies inChina. Data on the incidence, prevalence, and disability-adjusted life years(DALYs) of MND in China and globally from 1990 to 2021 were extracted from the 2021 global burden of disease(GBD) database. The Joinpoint model was used to analyze trends through the average annual percentage change(AAPC). The disease burden differences were further analyzed by age and gender. From 1990 to 2021, the number of MND incident cases in China increased by 6.87%, while globally it increased by 74.54%.The number of prevalent cases in China rose by 29.78%, compared to a 68.43% increase globally. DALYs due to MND in China increased by 40.08%, while globally they increased by 105.59%. The age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR) of MND showed a declining trend both in China(AAPC=-0.006, 95% CI: -0.006 to -0.006, The overall disease burden of MND in China is lower than the global level, with ASIR and ASDR showing a declining trend. However, the annual number of incident cases, prevalent cases, and DALYs continues to increase. Furthermore, there are gender and age differences in the MND disease burden in China, with middle-aged and elderly males being the key targets for prevention and control.
8.Efficacy Observation of Filiform-Heated Needle Stimulation on Myofascial Trigger Points Based on the"Pivot Mechanism"Theory for Treating Neck-Shoulder Myofascial Pain Syndrome

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of filiform-heated needle stimulation on myofascial trigger points(MTrPs)based on the"pivot mechanism"theory in treating neck-shoulder myofascial pain syndrome(MPS).Methods Sixty-four patients diagnosed with neck-shoulder MPS from the Acupuncture Department(inpatient and outpatient)of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine Dongguan Hospital between January 2023 and September 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table,with 32 cases per group.The control group received oral administration of Celecoxib Capsules,while the observation group received additional filiform-heated needle therapy.The treatment duration was 2 weeks and 1 course per week.Clinical efficacy was evaluated after 2 weeks,with observing the changes in the Short-Form McGill Pain Questionnaire(SF-MPQ)scores,Neck Disability Index(NDI)scores.The cervical range of motion(ROM)was compared between the two groups.Results(1)After treatment,the SF-MPQ scores of the two groups of patients were significantly improved(P<0.05),and the observation group was significantly superior to the control group in improving the SF-MPQ scores,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)After treatment,the NDI scores of patients in the two groups were significantly improved(P<0.05),and the observation group was significantly superior to the control group in improving the NDI scores,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)After treatment,the cervical joint mobility of patients in the two groups was significantly improved(P<0.05),and the observation group was significantly superior to the control group in improving cervical joint mobility,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).(4)The total effective rate was 96.88%(31/32)in the observation group and 84.38%(27/32)in the control group.The efficacy of the observation group was superior to that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Filiform-heated needle stimulation on MTrPs based on the"pivot mechanism"theory significantly alleviates pain,improves soft tissue injury,and enhances neck-shoulder mobility in patients with neck-shoulder MPS,demonstrating remarkable clinical efficacy.
9.Acupuncture-Moxibustion Treatments for Cervical Spondylosis of Vertebral Artery Type:A Visualization Analysis Based on CiteSpace and VOSviewer

Objective To conduct a visualization analysis of acupuncture treatment for cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type(CSA)using CiteSpace and VOSviewer,exploring the current research status and development trends in this field,and providing evidence and recommendations for future studies.Methods Journal articles on acupuncture treatment for CSA were retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)database from its inception to September 14,2024.Excel 2021,VOSviewer(1.6.20),and CiteSpace(5.7r5)were used to perform visualization analyses of author output,journal publications,research institutions,collaboration networks,and keywords,with knowledge maps generated accordingly.Results A total of 2 769 articles were retrieved,and after screening,1 874 articles were included.The publication output in the field of acupuncture for CSA generally showed an increasing trend.There were 129 authors who published≥3 articles,with the top three being Jia Hongling,Zhang Yongchen,and Wang Xilin.A total of 277 journals published relevant articles,with the Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion being the most prolific.Research institutions were primarily represented by Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Hubei University of Chinese Medicine.The number of institutions in this field was large and widely distributed,yet independent.Due to geographical and other factors,cross-regional collaborations were limited.Keyword co-occurrence analysis revealed that,apart from"cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type",the most frequently occurring terms included cervical spondylosis,acupuncture,tuina,acupuncture therapy,electroacupuncture,vertigo,hemodynamics,therapeutic effect,acupotomy,and warm needling.Cluster analysis mainly identified different acupuncture therapies,acupoint selection patterns,and clinical research related to CSA.Conclusion Clinical research on acupuncture for CSA is active,but mechanistic studies remain relatively insufficient.Future research should focus on elucidating the underlying mechanisms to provide new insights.Additionally,studies in this field are highly fragmented,lacking extensive collaboration among authors and institutions.Research teams should strengthen cooperation and diversify their approaches to further advance the study of acupuncture for CSA.
10.Collection, storage and utilization of lung transplant tissue samples

After continuous development and improvement, lung transplantation has become the preferred means to treat a variety of benign end-stage lung diseases. However, the field of lung transplantation still faces many challenges, including shortage of donor resources, preservation and maintenance of donor lungs, and postoperative complications. Lung tissue samples removed after lung transplantation are excellent clinical resources for the study of benign end-stage lung disease and perioperative complications of lung transplantation. However, at present, the collection, storage and utilization of tissue samples after lung transplantation are limited to a single study, and unified technical specifications have not been formed. Based on the construction plan of the biobank for lung transplantation in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, this study reviewed the practical experience in the collection, storage and utilization of lung transplant tissue samples in the aspects of ethical review, staffing, collection process, storage method, quality control and efficient utilization, in order to provide references for lung transplant related research.
