With the widespread adoption of lung cancer screening, an increasing number of patients are being diagnosed with early-stage lung adenocarcinoma. For stage ⅠA lung adenocarcinoma, sublobar resection is the primary treatment approach. However, in patients with concomitant spread through air space (STAS), numerous studies advocate for lobectomy as the mainstay of treatment. Due to the limitations in preoperative prediction and intraoperative frozen section evaluation for assessing STAS, current research is largely restricted to using clinical and imaging features to predict STAS occurrence, with results that are inconsistent and unsatisfactory. Furthermore, most studies focus on individual clinical or imaging characteristics, and there is a lack of large-sample investigations. The rise of artificial intelligence in recent years has provided new insights into solving this problem, and existing studies have shown that artificial intelligence demonstrates better performance in STAS prediction compared to conventional methods. This article reviews the value of artificial intelligence in predicting STAS.

Objective To explore a new method for lacrimal passage irrigation after laser dacryocystoplasty surgery. Method One-hundred patients (104 eyes), which underwent laser dacryocystoplasty surgery combined with lacrimal drainage tube indwelling, were divided into two groups. In Group A (50 patients, 52 eyes), lacrimal passage irrigation was performed by traditional No.5 needle. While in Group B (50 patients, 52 eyes), it was done by No.7 blunt round needle designed by the researchers. Lacrimal passage irrigation was performed three times, each at the 3rd day, 1 week and 1 month after surgery. The silicone tube was removed 3 months after surgery and the treatment was evaluated. Results The total effective rate was 64% (32/50) in Group A and 92%(46/50) in Group B. The difference was statistically significant (χ2=18.537, P < 0.01). Conclusions The No.7 blunt round needle showed better effect when used for lacrimal passage irrigation after laser dacryocystoplasty surgery. It could improve the efficiency of lacrimal passage irrigation, thus decreasing irrigation times and reducing psychological pressure for the patients, which is worthy of clinical application.

Objective: To determine the contents of thromboxane (TXA_2) and prostacyclin (PGI_2) in optic nerves after acute intraocular hypertension injury so as to provide experimental data for the treatment of the clinical intraocular hypertension. Methods: A rabbit acute intraocular hypertension injury model was established by 90-min anterior chamber douche. Thirty adult rabbits were equally randomized into 5 groups: 4 intraocular hypertension injury groups (60 min, 90 min, 24 h and 48 h after intraocular tension normalization) and a normal control group. The eyes of all rabbits were removed and the homogenate of optic nerves was used to determine the contents of TXB_2 and 6-Keto-PGF_ 1?, and the metabolites of TXA_2 and PGI_ 2 by radioimmunoassay. Results: The contents of TXB_2 and 6-Keto-PGF_ 1? in the 60 min and 90 min groups were significantly higher than those of the normal control group (P

Journal of Third Military Medical University 1988;0(06):-
Objective To investigate the NO and NOS activities of retina tissue after hemorrhagic shock and resuscitation in rabbit and the effects of taurine on them. Methods Twenty four New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into three groups: control group, shock and resuscitation (SR) group and taurine group. Chromatometry was used to detect the NOS activities. Results The ON content and NOS activities, either in retina tissue or in plasm, increased significantly 3 h after hemorrhagic shock and resuscitation (P
