Purpose: In this study, the neural communication patterns between hypothalamic structures and cortical areas in girls diagnosed with central precocious puberty (CPP) were explored. Endocrine profiles were incorporated to clarify the pathophysiological interactions between cerebral networks and hormonal regulation. The hypothalamus was designated as the key focus area for connectivity analysis. Methods: Fifty-seven girls (37 CPP, 20 non-CPP) were recruited from the Pediatric Development Clinic at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University. The collected data included demographic information, gonadotropin-releasing hormone stimulation tests, and magnetic resonance imaging scans. Hypothalamic functional connectivity (FC) was analyzed using predefined region of interest coordinates, and correlations between hormone levels and FC values were assessed. Results: Compared to the non-CPP group, the CPP group exhibited elevated baseline follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), baseline luteinizing hormone (LH), peak FSH, peak LH, and peak LH/FSH ratios. Patients with CPP exhibited enhanced neural synchronization linking the right lateral hypothalamic effector zone to the right superior frontal gyrus (displaying a borderline significant correlation with peak LH concentrations), concurrent with diminished functional coupling of the right lateral hypothalamic efferent to the right fusiform/supramarginal gyri. The left lateral hypothalamic projections demonstrated amplified connectivity with the right cuneus. No FC differences were observed in the medial hypothalamus. Conclusion Abnormal lateral hypothalamus FC patterns were identified in CPP girls and were particularly linked to peak LH levels. The findings offer novel insights into the neuroendocrine mechanisms underlying CPP.

Objective This study examines the factors influencing oral frailty in the elderly community,develops a risk prediction model,and validates its efficacy,so as to provide references for identifying and preventing oral weakness in the elderly.Methods 556 elderly individuals from 4 communities were selected by convenience sampling from June to August 2024 in Zigong City Sichuan Province.They were randomly divided into a training group(383 cases)and a validation group(165 cases).Data were collected by a general information questionnaire,Social Frailty Scale,Geriatric Depression Scale,and the Oral Frailty Index-8 screening tool.Logistic regression was used to determine the influencing factors,and R software was used to establish a nomogram model for predicting the risk of oral frailty.Bootstrap method and the validation group were used for internally validation of the model.Calibration curve was used to evaluate the prediction performance of the model.Results 548 valid questionnaires were collected.The final model variables included whether the age ≥80 years,wearing removable dentures,reduced frequency of going out,brushing teeth less than twice a day,frequent dry mouth,increased difficulty in eating hard foods,and choking.The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the training group was 0.95(95％CI:0.93～0.97),and the best cutoff value was 0.687.The model achieved an accuracy of 87％,sensitivity of 91％,specificity of 85％,positive predictive value of 0.75,and negative predictive value of 0.95.The Hosmer-Lemeshow fitting test show that x2=3.036,P=0.932,indicating a good model fit.Conclusion The oral frailty prediction model demonstrated a good discrimination,calibration,and clinical utility,which can provide a scientific basis for the prevention and early screening of oral frailty in the elderly.

Objective To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of conscious sedation and intravenous anesthesia used to endoscopic retrograde cholangio pancreatiography (ERCP) in treatment of extrahepatic bile duct stones.Methods A total of 100 cases of extrahepatic bile duct stones patients in treatment of ERCP were encoded by the group order,50 cases of odd used intravenous anesthesia (intravenous anesthesia group),intravenous injection of propofol; 50 cases of even used conscious sedation (conscious sedation group),muscle injection of diazepam and pethidine.Intraoperative reaction (extubation behavior,own postural changes),changes in vital signs,operating time,the success rate of stone and complication were observed in two groups.Results The incidence of intraoperative extubation behavior and own postural changes in conscious sedation group were significantly higher than those in intravenous anesthesia group [24％ (12/50) vs.2％ (1/50),18％ (9/50) vs.0],and the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.01).The heart rate and mean artery pressure in two groups were decreased at 5 minutes after administration than that before operation,and the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05),but there was no statistical significance at 10 min after entering the mirror and postoperative awake compared with before operation (P ＞ 0.05).Pulse oxygen saturation between two groups had no statistical significance (P ＞0.05).The success rate of stone in two groups were 98％ (49/50).Operating time in intravenous anesthesia group was obviously shorter than that in conscious sedation group [(38.2 ± 6.3) min vs.(49.1 ± 9.9) min] (P ＜ 0.01).The complications between two groups had no statistical significance (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Conscious sedation and intravenous anesthesia can be used to ERCP in treatment of extrahepatic bile duct stones,but intravenous anesthesia can obviously reduce patients discomfort,shorten the operation time.

Objective To observe the impact of ningxinjieyu capsule on contents of monoamine neurotransmitters and their metabolites in cerebral cortex of chronic depression model rats.Methods The chronic stressed depression model rats were established by chronic unpredictable stress and separation.the model rats randomly divided into model group,ningxinjieyu high-dose group(10.8 mg/(kg · d)),mid-dose group(3.6 mg/(kg · d)),low-dose group(1.2 mg/(kg · d)) and Fluoxetine group(3.6 mg/(kg · d)) and the normal rats as the control group.Finally the changes of Noradrenaline (NE),Dopamine (DA),5-hydroxy tryptamine (5-HT),3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC) and homovanillic acid (HVA) would be observed using HPLC-ECD technique.Results Compared with the control group,the contents of NE,DA and 5-HT were significantly lower in the model group (P＜0.01).Compared with the model group,the contents of DA were increased in the different concentrations of ningxinjieyue capsule groups,and the contents of 5-HT were higher in the low-dose and high-dose groups ((272.15± 129.89) ng/g,(445.08± 127.56) ng/g,(375.33±52.38) ng/g) ; the contents of NE were increased in the low-dose and mid-dose groups ((408.08 ± 89.55) ng/g,(530.12± 149.87) ng/g,(542.53 ± 96.10) ng/g) ; the contents of HVA were increased in the mid-dose and high-dose groups; the contents of DOPAC were increased in the low-dose group; the contents of 5-HT,DA and NE were increased in the fluoxetine group(P＜0.01 or P＜0.05).Conclusion Ningxinjieyu capsule has antidepressant effect,the mechanisms might be regulated to the contents of monoamine neurotransmitters and their metabolites in cerebral cortex.

Virtual slides were applied in experiment teaching of pathology on trial in clinic medicine college of Sichuan university.The resuhs from the Survey showed that students and teachers preferred virtual slides in learning microscopic lesions.Virtual Slides can help us save time,promote quality of observation,carry out discussion based teaching and manage teaching documents.It can be used in network teaching after marking the lesions.
