Chinese Journal of School Health 2023;44(5):756-760
Objective:
To explore the distribution characteristics of the influencing factors of injury among left behind primary school students, so as to provide a reference for identifying high risk injury groups and carrying out accurate injury intervention.
Methods:
From August 2021 to July 2022, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 3 769 students from grades 4 to 6 from nine primary schools in three townships in Pingliang City by using the a random cluster sampling method. Multiple correspondence analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of injury.
Results:
The detection rate of injuries among non left behind pupils was 21.8%(573/2 631), whereas the detection rate of injuries among left behind pupils was 40.9%(466/1 138). In addition, a statistically significant difference was observed in the detection rate of injuries between left behind pupils and non left behind pupils ( χ 2=146.21, P <0.01). Among the injuries of left behind pupils, 263 had fall related injuries, accounting for the highest proportion ( 56.4 %). Whether it was an only child, and different grades, gender, personality, psychological status, monitoring type, and maternal education level were statistically significant ( χ 2=39.05, 96.69, 143.00, 155.80, 461.39, 285.35, 17.10, P <0.01). The multiple correspondence analysis category graph showed higher rates of fall injuries, blunt injuries and sharp injuries among boys, extroverted personality types, and left behind pupils whose grandparents were their legal guardians. Animal bites, burns and other injury types were higher among left behind pupils with an introverted personality, pupils in peer/other guardianship situations, and those with a sub mental health status. Unharmed left behind students mainly included those with intermediate personality and mental health characteristics.
Conclusion
The injury detection rate among left behind primary school students is high. Gender, personality type, guardianship type, and mental health status are closely related to injury. Extroverted boys under grandparents guardians are identified as high risk groups for injury prevention and control. Under the guidance of the precision prevention model, precision intervention strategies for all round high risk groups should be carried out in order to effectively reduce the occurrence of injuries among left behind pupils.

Objective:To analyze the HIV and HBV coinfection in HIV/AIDS cases who newly received highly active antiretroviral therapy during 2005-2019 in Jiangsu province. Methods:According to the base data of HIV/AIDS cases on HAART enrolled between January 2005 and December 2019; the National Information system was retrospectively collected for HIV/AIDS Control and Prevention of Chinese System Disease for Control and Prevention. Excel database was established, and statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS 16.0 software. A Chi-square test was used to assess differences in rates of HBsAg testing and HIV/HBV coinfection between potential risk factors. The unconditional logistic regression model entered risk factors with P values <0.05 in the Chi-square test. Results:There were 29 288 HIV/AIDS cases newly received HAART during 2005-2019. The rate of HBsAg test was 49.8% (14 594/29 288) the rate of HBsAg test increased from 0.0% (0/80)to 75.2%(3 448/4 586), showing an increasing trend year by year during 2005 to 2019. Among HIV/AIDS cases tested HBsAg, 81.6% (11 915/14 594) cases were from Jiangsu province; the ratio of male to female was 7.34∶1 (12 845∶1 749), the average age was (38.5±13.8) years old, 96.1% (14 023/14 594) were Han nationality,48.9% (7 131/14 594) of the HIV/AIDS cases married, 97.9%(14 294/14 594) were infected with HIV through homosexual and heterosexual transmission. Unconditional logistic regression modeling showed that the proportion of HIV/AIDS cases initiated HAART in 2015 or after that, married, not Jiangsu province resident, college education or above, and drug injection infected were more likely to have HBsAg testing. 8.6%(95% CI:8.2%-9.1%) were HBsAg positive. The HIV and HBV coinfection rates were more than 10% before 2016 while showed stability from 6.7% to 8.2% since 2016. Unconditional logistic regression modeling showed that the proportion of HIV/AIDS cases who were male, elder, married, non-Han, primary education or below were more likely to have HBV coinfection. Conclusion:More HBsAg testing should be strengthened when the HIV/AIDS cases initiated HAART in Jiangsu province, 2005-2019.

Objective To report a pedigree with X?linked dominant protoporphyria(XLDPP), and to detect 5?aminolevulinic acid synthetase 2(ALAS2)gene mutations in this pedigree. Methods A clinical investigation was performed in a pedigree with XLDPP, and relevant data were collected from family members. A next?generation sequencing method was applied to screen possible mutation sites, and Sanger sequencing was performed to determine pathogenic gene mutations. Dermoscopy was conducted to observe skin lesions in the patients with XLDPP, and the Fotofinder system and very high frequency (VHF) ultrasound system were utilized to assess the severity of photodamage. Liver and gallbladder ultrasonography as well as blood examination were performed for all the family members. Results A deletion mutation, c.1706?1709ΔAGTG, was detected in the ALAS2 gene on the X chromosomes of all the patients in this family, which led to replacement or loss of 19-20 C?terminal residues through transcriptional frameshifting, and eventually caused an increase in ALAS2 activity. In the patients with XLDPP, skin photodamage was relatively severe;protoporphyrin?induced hepatobiliary damage was observed and aggravated with age;anemia and iron deficiency occurred sometimes. Conclusion The deletion mutation c.1706?1709ΔAGTG of the ALAS2 gene may be the underlying cause of XLDPP in this pedigree.

OBJECTIVE:
To investigate curative effect and importance of radiofrequency thermocoagulation onsemilunar ganglion of aged patients with recurrent trigeminal neuralgia.
METHOD:
112 cases with recurrent trigeminal neuralgia were performed with radiofrequency thermocoagulation on semilunar ganglion by puncture through skin under local anesthesia.
RESULT:
The maintaining effective duration in 112 cases was 7.3 ± 1.3 years after primary therapy. After the first thermocoagulation, 89.28% (100/112) patients got the relief from pain immediately, 8 (7.14%) cases also recieved the same effect after twice treatment. However two cases (2.6%) had no effects. The total effective rate was 98.21%. During five follow-up years, VAS scores, dose of carbamazepine and satisfaction were better than those before the treatment. The effective rate was still over 57.5% within three years after the treatment. The recurrent risk increased obviously from 40 months after the treatment by Kaplan-Meier method.
CONCLUSION
Semilunar ganglion of radiofrequency thermocoagulation was an ideal option for old-age patients with trigeminal neuralgia. It can be performed repeatedly.
