Objective:To understand trends and hotspots of TCM research papers published in journals with high IF basing on a bibliometric analysis.Methods:TCM research papers published between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2024 from 80 journals with IF higher than 16.0 were retrieved from medical, life sciences and comprehensive journals in Journal Citation Reports of 2024. CiteSpace 6.3.R1 and Excel 2021 were used to analyze and visualize annual publication volume, research fields, features of clinical study, institutes, funds and keywords.Results:A total of 51 papers were included, showing an increasing trend in annual publication volume; the main research areas were pharmacology, acupuncture&moxibustion and internal medicine. Multi-center randomized controlled trials were the main clinical studies; China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences was the leading institute in terms of publication volume; 84 funds were involved, including National Natural Science Foundation of China. Keywords that appeared most frequently were TCM, efficacy, double blind, electroacupuncture, stimulation and management.Conclusion:The number and quality of TCM research papers are improved simultaneously; future research needs to deepen international cooperation, and pay attention to the integration of TCM diagnosis and treatment characteristics and modern scientific research methods.

Objectives:To examine the functional outcomes of robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) with preservation of pelvic floor stabilized structure and early elevated retrograde liberation of the neurovascular bundle (PEEL).Methods:This study was a retrospective cohort study. Between June 1, 2022, and March 20, 2023, 27 cases of RARP with PEEL and 153 cases of RARP with preservation of pelvic floor stabilized structure (PPSS) were included in this study. All patients were males, aged (62.5±5.2) years (range: 50 to 73 years). There were 18 cases of ≤T2b stage and 9 cases of T2c stage. After 1∶1 propensity score matching, the postoperative functional outcomes of 27 cases of RARP with PEEL and 27 cases of RARP with PPSS were compared. All surgeries were performed by a single surgeon and included patients were clinically staged as cT1-2N0M0 without preoperative urinary incontinence or erectile dysfunction. In RARP with PEEL, the prostate was cut near the midline at the front when dissecting the neurovascular bundle, dissection was performed between the visceral layer of the pelvic fascia and the prostatic fascia, preserving the parietal layer and the visceral layer of the pelvic fascia, and the neurovascular bundle was retrogradely released from the apex. The cumulative probability curve was plotted using the Kaplan-Meier method and the Log-rank test was used to compare the differences in functional outcomes between the two groups. Univariate and multivariate analysis with the Cox proportional hazards model was used to compare postoperative urinary continence and sexual function.Results:The recovery time of continence and potency was significantly longer in the PPSS group than in the PEEL group (all P<0.05). The continence rate of the PEEL group was significantly higher than that of the PPSS group (92.59% vs. 68.10%, P=0.026) at 3 months after surgery. The potency rate of the PEEL group was also significantly higher than that of the PPSS group (40.70% vs. 15.10%, P=0.037) at 3 months after surgery. In the univariate analysis, compared to the PPSS technique, the PEEL technique was associated with a shorter recovery time of continence ( HR=1.94, 95% CI: 1.08 to 3.48, P=0.027) and a shorter recovery time of potency ( HR=2.06, 95% CI: 1.03 to 4.13, P=0.042). In the multivariate analysis, the PEEL technique was an independent prognosis factor for postoperative recovery of continence ( HR=2.05, 95% CI: 1.01 to 4.17, P=0.047) and potency ( HR=3.57, 95% CI: 1.43 to 8.92, P=0.007). All the cases of the PPSS group and the PEEL group were performed successfully with negative surgical margins. Conclusion:Compared with PPSS, PEEL may be more conducive to the recovery of urinary continence and sexual function after RARP.

Based on whole genome data, the identification and expression pattern analysis of the Atropa belladonna WRKY transcription factor family were conducted to provide a theoretical foundation for studying the biological functions and mechanisms of these transcription factors. In this study, bioinformatics methods were employed to identify members of the A. belladonna WRKY gene family and to predict their physicochemical properties, conserved motifs, promoter cis-acting elements, and chromosomal localization. Additionally, the expression patterns of the A. belladonna WRKY gene family under the regulation of environmental factors such as light quality and temperature were analyzed. The results revealed a total of 28 AbWRKY transcription factors, randomly distributed across 16 chromosomes, encoding 324-707 amino acids. Most AbWRKY proteins were acidic, unstable, and hydrophilic. Based on multiple sequence alignment and phylogenetic analysis, the WRKY gene family members were classified into two subfamilies. Conserved motif and domain analysis indicated that WRKY transcription factors in the same subfamily possessed conserved structural features. Promoter analysis predicted that the A. belladonna WRKY family contained light-responsive elements, hormone-responsive elements, and stress-responsive elements. Collinearity analysis showed that AbWRKY24 plays a crucial role in the expansion of the AbWRKY gene family. Then qRT-PCR results indicated that AbWRKY6, AbWRKY8, AbWRKY14, and AbWRKY24 responded to red light stress, while AbWRKY8, AbWRKY14, and AbWRKY24 responded to yellow light/low-temperature combined stress. AbWRKY6 and AbWRKY8 were significantly expressed in leaves and stems, AbWRKY27 and AbWRKY28 were significantly expressed in fibrous roots, and AbWRKY25 was significantly expressed in flowers. This study is the first to identify and analyze the WRKY gene family in A. belladonna and to examine its expression patterns under light and temperature regulation, laying a foundation for in-depth analysis and functional validation of the molecular mechanisms of A. belladonna WRKY transcription factors in responding to light quality and temperature environmental factors.

【Objective】 To investigate the possibility of using voiding diary (VD) to predict desmopressin diacetate arginine vasopressin (DDAVP) and enuresis alarm (EA) in the treatment of primary monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis (PMNE). 【Methods】 A total of 100 children (aged 6 to 14 years) with PMNE treated during Jan.2018 and Oct.2022 were involved. Bladder type was classified with two-week VD. Pseudo-randomization was performed using the Danish REDCap system to group patients into the randomized group and VD group. All patients were treated for 8 weeks. 【Results】 A total of 82 cases met the inclusive criteria. The effective rate was 82.50% (33/40) and 59.52% (25/42) in the VD and randomized groups, respectively, with significant difference (χ²=5.224, P=0.022). In the randomized group, if VD was not considered, the effective rate in the DDAVP and EA subgroups was 81.82% (18/22) and 25.00% (5/20), respectively, with significant difference (χ²=13.625, P=0.000). 【Conclusion】 VD can predict the therapeutic effects of PMNE. It is necessary to record VD for two weeks before selecting appropriate treatment methods. For patients who choose treatment without reference to VD, DDAVP shows better response than EA, but the recurrence rate after discontinuation of treatment requires further follow-up.

Pediatric urinary incontinence (PUI) is common in clinical practice and seriously affects the quality of life as well as physical and mental health of patients. PUI is a multi-factorial related abnormality, very complex in etiology and types. The occurrence of PUI is mostly associated with abnormal vesicourethral function. Urodynamic examination (UDS) is the golden standard to assess voiding function and diagnose the type of bladder and urethral function in children with PUI. UDS of PUI is of great clinical value in determining the cause, making treatment protocol as well as evaluating the therapeutic response. However, UDS in children has not been popularized in China, which seriously affects the diagnosis and treatment of PUI. This article reviews the research progress in the clinical application of UDS in the evaluation of PUI, in order to provide reference for improving the diagnosis and treatment of this disease.

Objective: To report the first case of a neonatal pneumonia with 2019-nCoV infection, and the experience of successfully diagnosis and treatment in late pregnancy woman with novel coronavirus pneumonia (critical type) in Xinyang city. Methods: The successfully diagnosis and treatment of a woman with 38 weeks singleton pregnancy complicated with novel coronavirus pneumonia (critical type), and a case of neonatal pneumonia with 2019-nCoV infection were retrospectively analyzed. Results: A single male was successfully delivered at 38-week gestation of his mother by cesarean section under third level protection in operation room. The delivery woman was diagnosed with 2019-nCoV infection at day 2 of delivery. Dyspnea and severe hypoxemia soon developed, and invasive mechanical ventilation was given. After active rescue and treatment, the delivery woman had been taken off line successfully and the condition was stable. Pharyngeal swab specimen of the neonate was sent for examination 3 days after birth, and was positive for novel coronavirus nucleic acid by fluorescence reverse transcript polymerase chain reaction. Conclusion 2019-nCoV may be transmitted vertically from mother to child.

Objective: To analyze the epidemiological characteristics and clinical features of the patients with 2019-nCoV infection, so as to provide basis for clinical diagnosis. Methods: The epidemiology, clinical symptoms, laboratory and radiologic data of 23 patients with 2019-nCoV infection admitted to the Fifth People's Hospital of Xinyang City from January 22,2020 to January 29, 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. Results: The 23 patients with 2019 nCov infection consisted of 15 men and 8 women, and the median age was 46.0 (40.5, 52.0) years (27-80 years); 9 of them had basic disease (39%), including hypertension (17%), cardiovascular diseases (17%), diabetes (9%), hypothyroidism (4%) and old tuberculosis (4%). All the 23 patients had contact history in Wuhan area or with confirmed infections. Clinical symptoms included: fever (100%), cough (70%), expectoration (43%), myalgia (26%), headache (17%) and dyspnea (17%), and the less common symptoms were diarrhea (4.3%). Blood routine test: white blood cells (WBC) < 4×10⁹/L in 11 cases (48%), (4-10)×10⁹/L in 10 cases (43%), >10 × 109/L in 2 cases (9%); lymphocytopenia in 13 cases (56%). All 23 patients had different degrees of infective lesions in chest CT examination, with 9 cases (39%) on one side and 14 cases (61%) on both sides. Classification: 19 mild cases, 4 severe cases, no critical or death case. Complications included acute respiratory distress syndrome [4 (17%)]. No case was reported with the damage of liver or kidney function and with secondary infection. Conclusions Epidemic history of contact, fever, pneumonia signs of chest CT, normal or decreased count of WBC and lymphocytopenia are the clinical basis for diagnosis of the disease. However, at present, the treatment of patients has not been completed, the effective treatment strategy and final prognosis are not clear.

With the integration of acupuncture into Qatar’s national medical system in 2016, TCM has made great progress in the State of Qatar. At the same time, the launch of the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Belt and Road Initiative has provided a good opportunity for TCM development there. At present, the state of Qatar lacks local education and policy support for TCM development and there exists competition from other traditional medicine. However, the domestic investment environment is stable. TCM development in Qatar has to focus on expanding the Chinese medicine market, promoting scientific research cooperation, encouraging herbal medicine enterprises to develop planting industry, and striving for preferential policies to develop TCM service trade.

In recent years, the cooperation between China and the Republic of Lebanon (hereinafter referred to as "Lebanon" ) in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) service trade has become increasingly urgent. At present, TCM in Lebanon is facing challenges such as the westernized medical environment, the imperfect system of TCM doctors’ recognition, the strict drug access conditions, the imperfect industrial chain of Chinese medical products, and the significant impact of cultural and regional differences on the market demand for Chinese medicine. It is suggested that health care products should be taken as the breakthrough point to develop service trade, enterprises should be attracted to settle in Lebanon from the national level to produce Chinese medicine preparations on the spot, and pay attention to high-level contact, establish TCM hospitals, and deepen cultural exchanges, so as to promote the development of Chinese medicine in the Lebanon.
