Booster vaccinations are highly recommended in combating the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant and its subvariants. However, the optimal booster vaccination strategies and related immune mechanisms with different prior vaccinations are under-revealed. In this study, we systematically evaluated the immune responses in mice and hamsters with different prime-boost regimens before their protective efficacies against Omicron were detected. We found that boosting with Ad5-nCoV, SWT-2P or SOmicron-6P induced significantly higher levels of neutralization activities against Omicron variants than CoronaVac and ZF2001 by eliciting stronger germinal center (GC) responses. Specifically, SOmicron-6P induced even stronger antibody responses against Omicron variants in CoronaVac and Ad5-nCoV-primed animals than non-Omicron-specific vaccines but with limited differences as compared to Ad5-nCoV and SWT-2P. In addition, boosting with a specific vaccine has the potential to remodel the existing immune profiles. These findings indicated that adenovirus-vectored vaccines and mRNA vaccines would be more effective than other types of vaccines as booster shots in combating Omicron infections. Moreover, the protective efficacies of the vaccines in booster vaccinations are highly related to GC reactions in secondary lymphatic organs. In summary, these findings provide timely important information on prime-boost regimens and future vaccine design.

The adjacent anatomy of the pelvis is complicated, with digestive, urinary, reproductive and other organs as well as important blood vessels and nerves. Therefore, accurate resection of pelvic tumors and precise reconstruction of defects after resection are extremely difficult. The development of medical 3D printing technology provides new ideas for precise resection and personalized reconstruction of pelvic tumors. The “triune” application of 3D printing personalized lesion model, osteotomy guide plate and reconstruction prosthesis in pelvic tumor limb salvage reconstruction treatment has achieved good clinical results. However, the current lack of normative guidance standards such as preparation and application of 3D printing personalized lesion model, osteotomy guide plate and reconstruction prosthesis restricts its promotion and application. The formulation of this consensus provides normative guidance for 3D printing personalized pelvic tumor limb salvage reconstruction treatment.

Objective To explore the effects of no convulsions electric shock treatment on cognitive function in patients with schizophrenia. Methods Sixty patients with schizophrenia from Jan 2012 to Apr 2014 were randomly divided into two groups. Observation group patients were treated with MECT and new anti-psychotic while control groups just with new anti-psychotic. The corresponding index were compared. Results The first treatment week: BANS scores of the observation group were significantly higher, while PANSS,TESS etc were significantly lower than the control group (vi-sual spatial structure was opposite) (P﹤0.05); Connect test completion time and errors numbers of control group were significantly lower than the one of observation group(P﹤0.05). One week after treatment:RBANS scores of observation group was significantly higher, while the PANSS, TESS scores were significantly lower than the control group(P﹤0.05);Connect test completion time of control group were significantly higher than the one of observation group. Conclusion Schizophrenia patients with non-convulsive electric shock treatment, have a greatly recovery, but the presence of cogni-tive function exist reversible injury.

Xuezhikang capsule (ethanol extract of red yeast rice) which produced by Beijing WBL Peking University Biotech Co., Ltd., is a traditional Chinese medication with 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase inhibiting activity. Clinical trials indicated that Xuezhikang with lipid-lowering action could reduce the risk of cardiac events and total mortality of Chinese coronary heart disease patients. To exactly explain the clinical features of Xuezhikang, we undertook a complete study of the chemical constituents of Xuezhikang. This study resulted in the isolation of a new monacolin analogue, named alpha, beta-dehydromonacolin L (1), along with two known compounds: monacolin L (2) and 3-(2, 6-dimethyl-1, 2, 4a, 5, 6, 7, 8, 8a-octahydronaphthalen-1-yl)propanoic acid (3). The chemical structures were determined by extensive 1D and 2D NMR and MS spectroscopic analysis.

Objective:To study the changes of serum IL 1?,IL 6,IL 8,TNF ? and sIL 2R and its relationship with disease activity in adult Still disease patients. Methods:Serum levels of IL 1?,IL 6,IL 8,TNF ? and sIL 2R were assessed by ELISA in 18 adult Still disease patients before and one month after treatment with prednisone. Results: Active adult Still disease patients had significant elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and serum levels of C reactive protein (CRP),IL 1?,IL 6,IL 8,TNF ? and sIL 2R.After one month treatment with prednisone,ESR and serum levels of CRP,IL 6,TNF ? and sIL 2R significantly decreased. There was a significant correlation between ESR values and serum IL 6,TNF ? and sIL 2R levels, and between serum CRP levels and IL 6,TNF ? and sIL 2R levels.Serum IgG,IgA and IgM levels in active adult Still disease patients were similar to those in healthy controls. Conclusion: There are no changes in serum immunoglobulins but significant increases of serum IL 1?,IL 6,IL 8,TNF ? and sIL 2R levels in active adult Still disease.Serum levels of IL 6,TNF ? and sIL 2R are related to the activity of adult Still disease.
