Objective:To analyze the correlation between the degree of internal carotid artery tortuosity and plaque burden through dual-source computed tomography (CT),and to further investigate the relationship between the internal carotid artery tortuosity and the formation of cerebral infarction. Methods:A total of 106 patients with internal carotid artery tortuosity,who underwent computed tomography angiography (CTA) examination on head and neck at the First People's Hospital of Lianyungang from December 2021 to December 2022,were retrospectively selected. The patients were divided into a cerebral infarction group and a non-cerebral infarction group based on cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination,with 53 cases in each group. The internal carotid artery tortuosity-related indicators (tortuosity index,degree of vascular deviation,vascular tortuosity),and the parameters of plaque characteristic (plaque area,vascular area and plaque burden) between the two groups were compared. Univariate and multivariate analyses were used,and the information of age,gender,history of underlying disease (such as hypertension,diabetes,coronary heart disease,etc.),lifestyle habits (such as smoking,drinking),and stroke history of patients in both groups were collected. Clinical biochemical indicators included triglycerides,total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein,high-density lipoprotein,lipoprotein a,and homocysteine. Independent risk factors of affecting plaque burden and cerebral infarction were explored. Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the correlation between the indicators of internal carotid artery tortuosity and plaque burden of the patients,as well as the relationship between the carotid artery tortuosity and the formation of cerebral infarction. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to assess the predictive ability of indicators of patients for cerebral infarction. Results:The index of internal carotid artery tortuosity,degree of vascular deviation,plaque burden,plaque area,and degree of carotid artery stenosis were significantly positively correlated with cerebral infarction (r=0.310,0.203,0.345,0.320,0.292,P<0.05),respectively. ROC curve analysis showed that the area under curve (AUC) values of tortuosity index and plaque burden were respectively 0.679 and 0.677 in predicting cerebral infarction. The AUC value of combined indicator (tortuosity index+plaque burden) was 0.806 in predicting cerebral infarction,which was significantly higher than that of single indicator that was singly used (95％CI:0.722-0.89,P<0.01). Conclusion:There are significant correlation between the degree of internal carotid artery tortuosity,plaque burden,and formation of cerebral infarction. The combined use of the tortuosity index and plaque burden can significantly improve the predictive accuracy for cerebral infarction.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of aerosol inhalation of ambroxol combined with gentamicin on postopera-tive related indexes of esophageal cancer patients. METHODS:60 patients underwent esophageal cancer operation were retrospec-tive analyzed and divided into control group(30 cases)and observation group(30 cases)according to drug use. Three days before surgery,control group was given 5% Glucose injection 250 mL intravenously,twice a day;observation group was given Ambrox-ol hydrochloride injection 50 mL added into 5% Glucose injection 250 mL intravenously,twice a day. After operation,both groups were given anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs. Control group was additionally given aerosol inhalation of Gentamicin sulfate in-jection 80000 units added into 0.9% Sodium chloride injection 20 mL,4 times a day. Observation group was additionally given aerosol inhalation of Ambroxol hydrochloride injection 10 mL added into 0.9% Sodium chloride injection 20 mL,4 times a day, on the basis of control group. Both groups were treated for 5 days. The occurrence of postoperative pulmonary complications were compared between 2 groups. The levels of CRP,TNF-α,PaO2,SaO2,oxygenation index (PaO2/FiO2),the occurrence of ADR were observed before and after operation. RESULTS:The total incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications in observation group was significantly lower than control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05). Before operation,there was no statistical significance in the levels of CRP,TNF-α,PaO2,SaO2 and PaO2/FiO2 between 2 groups(P>0.05). After operation,the levels of CRP and TNF-α in 2 groups were significantly lower than before operation;the observation group was significantly lower than the control group. PaO2,SaO2 and PaO2/FiO2 of 2 groups were sig-nificantly higher than before operation;the observation group was significantly higher than the control group,with statistical significance (P<0.05). No obvious ADR was found in 2groups during medication. CONCLUSIONS:The aerosol inhalation of ambroxol combined with gentamicin can reduce postopera-tive inflammatory factors of esophageal cancer patients,and promotes the recovery of respiratory function without increasing the in-cidence of ADR.

BACKGROUND:Neural stem cels have the potential to differentiate into neurons and glial cels to replace the injured brain cels, so as to achieve the purpose of repairing nerve injury.
OBJECTIVE:To observe the neuronal differentiation ability of cel subsets with stem cel characteristics in the adult rat meningeal tissues.
METHODS:Under anesthesia, the meningeal tissues were obtained from adult Sprague-Dawley rats to make cel suspension folowed by inoculation and subculture. Then, the Nestin immunofluorescence staining was performed. The third generation cels were culturedin vitro with complete culture medium containing trichostatin A. After 7 days of induction, western blot assay was used to detect the expression of NF-200 and BM88 proteins in neural cels.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: At 24 hours of culture, some spherical cels were suspended and some cels adherent. In addition, some spherical cels scattered gradualy formed the clone spheres, and the growth rate decreased with the increasing volume. The positive expression of Nestin was detected by immunocytochemistry staining, and the cel nucleus was stained blue by Hoechst staining. BM88 and NF-200 proteins were al expressed at 7 days of neural induction. These findings indicate that the cel subsets with stem cel characteristics in the adult rat meningeal tissues can differentiate into neurons after in vitro induction.

Objective To study the significance of protein tyrosine phosphatase (SHP2)expression in bac-terial meningitis.Methods 90 rats were divided into meningitis group (72)and healthy controls (18)two groups based on the random number table,The SHP2 expression in rat brain tissue at different time points of meningitis group and healthy control group were tested by reverse transcription (RT)a PCR,Western blotting,immunohistochemical methods,then the relationship between SHP2 protein expression and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),white blood cell (WBC)counts were observed and analyzed.Results The cortical SHP2 mRNA expression of meningitis rat in-cluding (0.035 ±0.020),(0.200 ±0.049),(0.129 ±0.032)and (0.057 ±0.039),were significantly higher than those of the healthy control group (0.031 ±0.028)(F=12.74,P<0.05);the third periventricular SHP2 positive cells were significantly more than those of the healthy control group (χ2 =5.02,P<0.05);the correlation coefficient of cortical SHP2 protein expression and concentration of CSF TNF -α,the correlation coefficient of cortical SHP2 protein expression and WBC counts were respectively 0.08(P>0.05)and 0.77 (t=4.303,P<0.05).Conclusion SHP2 participates in pathophysiology of bacterial meningitis,the main role may be in suppressing inflammation and repairing inflammatory response,it can be used as a reference indicator of condition changes.

Objective　To study killing effect of plasmas ozo ne water on microorganisms by plasmas ozone disinfection solution through plasma s ozone resulting from discharge along surface disinfection solution produced by machine and its effect factors. Methods　Quantitative solut ion test was used to study killing action of plasmas ozone disinfection water to E. coli and staphyrococcus aureus, and to study its eff ect factors. Results　Plasmas ozone water could kill 99.9% E. coli and staphyrococcus aureus after 15 min. The kill ing effect was affected by organism. With the increasing of organism concertrat ion, the killing efficacy increased. Conclusions　Plasmas ozone can effectively kill microorgnisms in water and the efficacy was affected by org anism.
