In recent decades,the incidence of human papillomavirus(HPV)-associated oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma(OPSCC)has shown a marked increase.Significant changes have also occurred in the OPSCC diagnosis and treatment paradigm.Deter-mining HPV status prior to treatment is now essential,and radiotherapy/chemotherapy,immunotherapy,and minimally invasive surgical techniques have progressively emerged as key modalities for managing OPSCC.However,alongside these paradigm shifts,a comprehen-sive technical consensus guiding the entire diagnostic and therapeutic process for OPSCC patients is currently lacking.Given China's large population base and the rising incidence of OPSCC,an expert panel convened to develop a clinical technical consensus on OPSCC diagno-sis and management tailored to China's specific context.This consensus aims to further enhance and standardize understanding of OPSCC management techniques among relevant healthcare professionals.

The advancement of surgical techniques enables effective treatment for many patients with oral and maxillofacial tumors.How-ever,post-surgery problems such as chewing,swallowing and speech difficulty may arise due to the defects in speech organs and inade-quate compensatory function of tissue flap repair.Speech disorders,in particular,isolate patients by making it difficult for them to com-municate with others,not only impact their quality of life but also potentially lead to psychological problems and social interaction disor-ders.Although the decline in life quality and other related issues caused by speech dysfunction due to surgery and radiotherapy or chemo-therapy have been widely recognized,there is currently no standardized and universally applicable assessment method and standardized re-habilitation treatment management guideline or consensus for speech disorders following oral and maxillofacial tumor surgery at home and abroad.Based on previous clinical practice,combined with the characteristics of speech disorders in patients after oral and maxillofacial tumor surgery,the clinical experience of the experts in maxillofacial tumor surgery and rehabilitation and the relevant domestic and foreign literature,relevant experts organized discussions and modifications,reach a consensus on core content such as the assessment of speech disorders and the implementation plan for early rehabilitation treatment management,providing a reference for clinical practice,in order to improve patients'speech-related life quality and enhance the assessment and rehabilitation treatment techniques for speech disorders after oral and maxillofacial tumor surgery.

6.The effect of hip-knee-ankle active and passive movement therapy on joint function in early and intermedi-ate-stage knee osteoarthritis patients

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of hip-knee-ankle active and passive exercise therapy in patients with early-to mid-stage knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods A total of 180 patients with early to mid-stage knee osteoarthritis(KOA)were recruited from the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University of Tradi-tional Chinese Medicine between March 2023 and March 2024.Patients were randomly assigned to one of four groups:active movement group,passive movement group,combined movement group,and control group,with 45 patients in each group.The active movement group received hip-knee-ankle active movement therapy daily until the end of follow-up.The passive movement group underwent hip-knee-ankle passive movement therapy three times per week for two weeks.The combined movement group received both active and passive therapies.The control group was administered oral celecoxib capsules(200 mg once daily for two weeks).Joint function was assessed in all four groups before treatment,at two weeks post-treatment,and at 14 weeks post-treatment.The primary outcome measure was the WOMAC joint function score,while secondary outcomes included the WOMAC pain score,stiffness score,and quality of life score(SF-12).Results A total of 160 patients completed the trial,with 39 in the active group,42 in the passive group,40 in the combined group,and 39 in the control group.There were no significant differences in baseline characteristics among the groups(P>0.05).Compared to baseline,the WOMAC scores for function,pain,and stiffness in the passive,combined,and control groups decreased significantly at both 2 and 14 weeks post-treatment(P<0.05),while the SF-12 scores increased significantly(P<0.05).Between 2 and 14 weeks post-treat-ment,the active and combined groups showed further significant decreases in WOMAC function,pain,and stiffness scores(P<0.05)and increases in SF-12 scores(P<0.05).At 2 weeks post-treatment,compared to the control group,the passive and combined groups exhibited significantly lower WOMAC function scores(P<0.05),with no significant difference between the passive and combined groups(P>0.05).By 14 weeks post-treatment,the active and combined groups demonstrated significantly lower WOMAC function scores(P<0.05),with the combined group showing a significantly lower score than the active group(P<0.05).Conclusion The four therapeutic approaches demonstrate a certain degree of efficacy in improving joint function for patients with early and mid-stage KOA.The passive therapy group exhibits superior short-term outcomes,while the active therapy group shows better long-term benefits.The combined therapy group presents notable advantages in both short-term and long-term effi-cacy,although its short-term effectiveness does not surpass that of the passive therapy group.It is recommended for patients with early and mid-stage KOA who have underlying gastrointestinal and cardiovascular conditions.
7.Epidemiological characteristics of respiratory syncytial virus among inpatients in a children′s hospital in Shenzhen City from 2020 to 2023

This study analyzed the epidemiological characteristics and trends of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections among inpatients with acute respiratory infections (ARI) in a children′s hospital in Shenzhen City inpatients from 2020 to 2023. From January 2020 to December 2023, multiple reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) combined with capillary electrophoresis fragment analysis technology was used to detect the nucleic acids of 12 respiratory pathogens, including RSV, in hospitalized children diagnosed with ARI. The patients were divided into six age groups: 0 to <6 months, 6 months to <1 year, 1 to <2 years, 2 to <5 years, 5 to <10 years, and 10 to <18 years. A total of 53 033 children were tested, including 6 830 RSV positive cases, with an overall positivity rate of 12.88%. The annual RSV positivity rates from 2020 to 2023 were 20.04%, 16.18%, 4.89%, and 13.33%, respectively, with statistically significant differences between the years ( χ2=1 185.994, P<0.001). The positive rate of RSV detection decreased with increasing age across all years (all P trend<0.05). From 2020 to 2023, the proportion of RSV-positive cases aged 2 to 5 years and older showed an increasing trend ( P trend<0.001 for all years). Compared to 2023, the median age of RSV-infected children was lower in 2020 ( Z=7.826, P<0.001) and 2021 ( Z=6.106, P<0.001). The proportion of severe infections requiring ICU admission did not change significantly across all years ( χ2=0.179, P=0.981). The RSV epidemic season in 2020 mainly occurred during 28-43 weeks, and in 2021, it spanned from 22-43 weeks. However, in 2022, the season was delayed until the 49th week and lasted for three weeks. In 2023, the seasonal epidemic appeared earlier, starting in the 14th week and lasting for 28 weeks. From 2020 to 2023, the rate of RSV co-infections with other pathogens (mycoplasma pneumoniae, human parainfluenza virus, human bocavirus, human coronavirus, human metapneumovirus, and influenza A) significantly increased (all P trend<0.01). In conclusion, the epidemiological characteristics of RSV infections in Shenzhen Children′s Hospital changed from 2020 to 2023. In 2022, there were only delayed, low-intensity and short-lived seasonal epidemics. However, in 2023, there was an earlier and prolonged epidemic, with increased infections in children aged 2 to 5 years and older and a rise in co-infections, while the proportion of severe infections requiring ICU admission remained unchanged.
8.Research progress of new aluminum-containing vaccine adjuvants

Aluminum adjuvants are widely used in the field of vaccines due to their ability to induce efficient and long-lasting immune responses and good safety profile. With the development of immunology, the requirements for adjuvants have gradually increased, and traditional aluminum adjuvants can no longer meet all the needs of application. The development of novel aluminum adjuvants has become a hot research topic in order to achieve good immunity-enhancing effects and induce specific types and strengths of immune responses. This review briefly introduces the mechanism of action and safety of aluminum adjuvants, with focus on the research progress of novel aluminum adjuvants in recent years, mainly including nano-aluminum adjuvants and composite aluminum adjuvants (aluminum adjuvants compounded with immunity-stimulating molecules or delivery carriers), and a prospect of their future research direction, aiming to provide some reference for the further development and clinical application of aluminum adjuvants.
9.Accurate prediction of the content of active components in Halitum based on X-ray diffraction digital spectrum

Objective:To establish a rapid quantitative model of sodium chloride content in Halitum of traditional Chinese medicine by using X-ray diffraction technology and machine learning algorithm.Methods:The data of X-ray diffraction patterns of 90 batches of Halitum samples were collected,and the rapid prediction models of X-ray diffraction were constructed by using partial least squares(PLS),support vector regression(SVR)long short-term memory(LSTM)according to the reference values determined by the content determination method of Halitum in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2020 edition.Results:The data preprocessed by multivariate scatter correction(MSC)and selected by competitive adaptive reweighted sampling(CARS)were better in PLS model and LSTM model.The data pretreated by standard normal transformation(SNV)and selected by CARS feature variable perform well in SVR.Conclusion:The three models show good prediction potential,which shows that the combination of X-ray diffraction technology and machine learning algorithm is feasible for accurate prediction of the content of Halitum in traditional Chinese medicine.
10.Simultaneous,rapid,and precise prediction of main quality control indicators of typhae pollen based on near-infrared spectroscopy technology

Objective:To establish a rapid quantitative model for the determination of moisture,extractives,and content in Pollen Typhae.Methods:Near-infrared spectra of 91 batches of Pollen Typhae samples were collected.Spectral preprocessing was performed using S-G,MSC,SNV,and CWT methods.Variable selection was conducted using CARS,SPA,and VIP methods,and compared with full-spectrum modeling.Partial least squares(PLS)mod-els were established for the quantitative determination of moisture,total ash,extractives,and content.The model performance was evaluated by calculating the coefficient of determination for the calibration set and validation set(R2 c,R2v),root mean square error of calibration and validation(RMSEc,RMSEv),and residual prediction devia-tion(RPD).Results:The PLS models for moisture,extractives,and content in Pollen Typhae showed R2c and R2v values greater than 0.9,RMSEc and RMSEv values approaching 0,and RPD values greater than 3.Conclusion:In this study,near-infrared spectroscopy was used to construct quantitative prediction models for moisture,extractives,typhaneoside,and isorhamnetin-3-O-neohesperidoside content in Pollen Typhae.This method enables rapid detection of the main quality control indicators of Pollen Typhae,providing strong technical support for its quality supervision.
