Objective To investigate the long-term prognostic factors of acute pulmonary embolism (APE) among internal medicine inpatients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM),and establish a prediction model of long-term prognosis. Methods This study included 156 internal medicine inpatients with T2DM and APE (T2DM+APE group) admitted to internal medicine of Xinjiang 474 Hospital and The Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from July 2019 to June 2022. At the same time,156 inpatients with APE from the department of hematology were selected as APE group. All patients were fo llowed up for 1 year to evaluate the prognosis. Patients in T2DM+APE group were divided into good prognosis subgroup (n=108) and poor prognosis subgroup (n=48). The risk factors for poor prognosis were analyzed and a prediction model was established. Results The incidence of adverse events in T2DM+APE group was higher than that in APE group (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis found that N-terminal precursor of B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP),cardiac troponin T (c-TnT),heart-type fatty acid binding protein (H-FABP) and simplified Pulmonary Embolism Severity Index (sPESI) score were risk factors for poor long-term prognosis of T2DM complicated with APE. The area under the curve(AUC),sensitivity and specificity of this model for predicting poor prognosis of T2DM complicated with APE were 0.938,83.3％ and 96.3％,which were higher than those of prediction with single indicator. Conclusions Patients with T2DM and APE have worse long-term prognosis than those with simple APE.The establishment of a prediction model is helpful for clinical evaluation of long-term prognosis.

Objective There were few studies of prediction on type 2 diabetic patients with acute pulmonary thromboembo?lism.To evaluate the performance of the Padua score, revised Geneva score and Wells PE score in the prediction value of diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus with acute pulmonary thromboembolism( APTE) . Methods 151cases with suspected APTE of type 2 diabe?tes were collected from January 2013 to December 2015 by a retrospective case analysis mode. Among 151 pations,80 cases had diag?nosed with pulmonary thromboembolism.The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to evaluate the probability of type 2 diabetic patients with APTE predicted by the Padua, the revised Geneva and the Wells PE score. We calculated the Youden Index for the cut?off point. Results The area under curve( AUC) of the ROC curve in the Padua score, revised Geneva score and Wells PE score for APTE was 0.804±0.035、0.635±0.045 and 0.705±0.043. The area under the ROC curve of the Padua score was the highest and there was a significant difference compared with the revised Geneva( P<0.016 7) . The comparison of Padua score and Wells PE for the predication value was no statistically significant difference ( P>0.016 7) . The comparison of revised Geneva score and Wells PE for the predication value was no statistically significant difference ( P>0.016 7) . The cut?off of Padua score was 3 points and Youden Index was 0.51. The cut?off of Revised Geneva was 3 points and Youden In?dex was 0.24. The cut?off of Wells PE score was 1 points and Youden Index was 0.39. Conclusion Padua score, revised Geneva score and Wells PE score in predicting diabetes patients have some ex?tent clinical value terms, which Padua score has higher predictive value than the Revised Geneva.The predictive value of Padua score and Wells PE score was equivalent.However, the predictive value of Padua score is limited.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the significance of hMSH2 aberrant expression in patients with sporadic colorectal cancer in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. METHODS: Clinicopathological parameters and postoperative samples of 327 patients with sporadic colorectal cancer were collected in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Immunohistochemistry PV-9000 two-step method was performed to measure hMSH2 expression in the postoperative pathologic specimens. Prognostic value of hMSH2 expression was evaluated. RESULTS: Thirty-five (10.7%) patients showed aberrant nuclear staining of hMSH2 expression. The patients with aberrant expression of hMSH2 showed better prognosis than the normal expression group, with significant difference (P<0.05). CONCLUSION In Xinjiang, aberrant hMSH2 expression can be regarded as an independent prognostic factor in patients with sporadic colorectal cancer.

Objective To investigate the etiology,characteristics of upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) in China,and to investigate the main causes of different population.Methods Literature on the causes of UGIB were retrieved and screened according to strict inclusion and exclusion standards.Results A total of 15733 UGIB patients were enrolled in the study.The most common causes of UGIB were duodenal ulcer (31.2％),gastric ulcer (15.2％),acute gastric mucosal lesions (AGML) (12.0％),cancer (11.7％),and esophageal varices (11.3％).The incidences of duodenal ulcer,gastric ulcer,AGML,esophageal varices,cancer were 32.3％,15.1％,12.1％,7.2％,and 12.5％ before 2006,and 29.7％,15.4％,11.1％,15.3％,and 10.9％ after 2006.The ratio of male to female was 3.25: 1.The most common causes of UGIB in older patients were gastric ulcer,cancer,AGML,duodenal ulcer,esophageal varices,while those in children were duodenal ulcer,gastric ulcer and AGML.Conclusion Peptic ulcers,AGML,cancer and esophageal varices were the most common causes of UGIB in China.The causes of UGIB have changed significantly in the past 5 years (P ＜0.01).

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of the wounded in Wenchuan earthquake transported to our hospital and summarize therapeutic experiences. Methods Clinical data of 92 patients resulted from Wenchuan earthquake admitted into our hospital were reviewed and analyzed in aspects of general data,injury severity,therapeutic methods and clinical results. Results All pa-tients were free from infection,reamputation and fracture-related complication. Conclusion After the arrival of large number of the wounded in the station hospitals.efficient organization of station hospitals,comprehensive evaluation of the patients'condition,effective detailed therapeutic plans and careful man-agement of the medical complications can attain sound results.
