FLASH irradiation (FLASH-IR) is one of the cutting-edge research directions in the field of tumor radiotherapy. Previous studies have demonstrated that FLASH-IR can effectively eradicate tumors while significantly reducing damage to normal tissues, exhibiting unique biological effects characterized by high efficiency and low toxicity. Monte Carlo simulation at the microscopic scale is a critical method for studying radiobiological effects and has been widely applied in conventional radiotherapy research. In recent years, its application in microscopic reaction analysis and mechanistic exploration of FLASH-IR has grown rapidly. This article systematically reviews the latest advances and key challenges in microscopic Monte Carlo simulation studies of FLASH-IR, aiming to provide theoretical insights and method ological guidance for future research.

Objective To analyze the influencing factors for poor prognosis in elderly patients with CHD and left ventricular dysfunction(LVD)treated by CABG,and to construct a logistic predic-tion model. Methods A total of 199 elderly CHD patients with LVD undergoing CABG in Zhu-jiang Hospital from April 2020 to April 2023 were retrospectively enrolled. After 1 year of follow-up,according to whether MACCE occurred after surgery, they were divided into MACCE group(24 cases)and non-MACCE group(175 cases). The clinical data were compared between the two groups.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors for poor prognosis, and a logistic prediction model was constructed. Results The MACCE group had significantly larger proportions of hypertension, diabetes, chronic kidney disease,NYHA gradeⅢand multi-vessel disease, and smaller proportion of non-cardiopulmonary bypass than the non-MACCE group(P<0.05,P<0.01).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that diabetes(OR=2.328,95%CI:1.469-3.690,P=0.000),NYH A grade(OR=2.181,95%CI:1.184-4.021,P=0.013),multi-vessel disease(OR=1.996,95%CI:1.187-3.355,P=0.009),and non-cardiopulmonary bypass(OR=0.660,95%CI:0.541-0.806,P=0.000)were independent influen-cing factors for poor prognosis in the patients after CABG.The AUC value of the constructed pre-diction model in predicting poor prognosis was 0.822(95%CI:0.721-0.923),with a sensitivity of 66.70%and a specificity of 80.60%.Conclusion Diabetes,NYHA grade,multi-vessel disease and non-cardiopulmonary bypass are independent influencing factors for poor prognosis in elderly CHD patients complicated with LVD after CABG.The constructed logistic prediction model has certain predictive value for poor prognosis in these elderly patients.

Objective To explore the CD27 expression level of abnormal plasma cells in patients with multiple myeloma (MM) and immune phenotype and the relationships with tumor prognosis. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 61 newly diagnosed MM patients to evaluate the expression level of CD27 in abnormal plasma cells, and the differences in clinical indicators between CD27-positive and CD27-negative MM patients were compared. The efficacy of CD27-positive and CD27-negative MM patients was analyzed after four cycles of chemotherapy, and all patients receiving treatment in the hospital were followed up for survival analysis. Results Among the 61 patients, 21 had positive expression of CD27 in abnormal bone marrow plasma cells (CD27-positive group), and 40 had negative expression (CD27-negative group). The CD27-positive group had a lower proportion of CD56+ abnormal plasma cells and creatinine levels in peripheral blood and a higher lymphocyte count than the CD27-negative group (

Dendritic cell-based cancer vaccines (DC vaccines) have been proved efficient and safe in immunotherapy of various cancers, including melanoma, ovarian and prostate cancer. However, the clinical responses were not always satisfied. Here we proposed a novel strategy to prepare DC vaccines. In the present study, a fusion protein SNU containing a secretin-penetratin (SecPen) peptide, NY-ESO-1 and ubiquitin was designed and expressed. To establish the DC vaccine (DC-SNU), the mouse bone marrow-derived DCs (BMDCs) were isolated, pulsed with SNU and maturated with cytokine cocktail. Then peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from C57BL/6 mice inoculated intraperitoneally with DC-SNU were separated and cocultured with MC38/MC38

Objective To analyze the results of assessment of malaria elimination in 9 counties (districts) of Nanchang City, and explore suitable monitoring methods for malaria after elimination of the disease in this region. Methods In 2016, the data from the network reports of malaria epidemic situation, blood examinations of febrile patients, epidemiological questionnaires of local malaria cases, investigation of epidemic focuses and disposal tables were collected and analyzed in Nanchang City from 2010 to 2015. The data of malaria elimination assessment at county ( district ) level of Donghu District , Xihu District , Qingshanhu District and Wanli District in 2013 , Nanchang County and Anyi County in 2014, Jinxian County, Qingyunpu District and Xinjian District in 2015 were collected. At same time, the data of ability of the diagnosis and treatment of malaria in clinicians, the microscopical examinations of Plasmodium in the inspection personnel were collected . Totally 30 negative blood slides and all positive blood slides since 2010 were reviewed. Results From 2010 to 2015, 93 local malaria cases were reported in Nanchang City, the majority of malaria cases were imported except 2 local malaria infection cases in 2010. Totally 64027 febrile patients received blood detections for malaria, of which 101 cases were positive and the positive rate was 0.16%. The positive blood slides review rate was 100.00% (101/101), the negative blood slides review rate was 9.69% (6195/63926). 9 counties (districts) all passed the malaria elimination assessment at county ( district ) level . The malaria elimination assessment scores of the 9 counties (districts) were all higher than 90 points. The correct rate of inspection personnel of microscopical examinations of Plasmodium was 91.58% (174/190), the correct rate of knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of malaria was 95.00% (1710/1800), the coincidence rate of blood slides review was 100 . 00%( 304/304 ) in Nanchang , the qualified rate of slides production and dyeing was 88.16% (268/304). Conclusions All the 9 counties (districts) of Nanchang City have passed the malaria elimination assessment with high scores. After malaria elimination, the monitoring should continue to consolidate the achievements.
