Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2025;60(10):1943-1948
Objective:
To evaluate the effects of different surface treatment methods and simulated aging on the roughness, microhardness, and color stability of lithium disilicate glass ceramics(LDC).
Methods:
The LDC were grouped and performed 5 kinds of surface treatments: control group, polishing group, polishing+polishing paste group, glazing group, polishing+glazing group. The roughness and microhardness of the specimen were measured. Then the specimens were divided into two subgroupswhich were treated with water and staining solution. The specimens were measured color parameters before and after processing. The above data was analyzed.
Results:
The LDC had changes in surface roughness and microhardness after different surface treatments. The polishing+polishing paste group had the lowest surface roughness, and the surface microhardness of the LDC decreased after glazing. After simulating aging, the difference of color and transparency of the polishing+polishing paste group, glazing group, and polishing+glazing group were the smallest.
Conclusion
Different surface treatments and simulated aging have a certain impact on the roughness, microhardness, and color stability of LDC. Fine polishing with polishing paste has a comparable anti staining effect to glazing on LDC.

Objective:To retrospectively analyze the pathogenic factors of retrograde peri-implantitis (RPI) and assess the effectiveness of treatment, and to provide clinicians evidence for the prevention and treatment of RPI.Methods:A total of 2 731 patients with missing teeth (4 016 implants) who underwent implant restoration in the Department of Stomatology, The First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University between January 2004 and December 2022 were included in the study. According to the diagnostic criteria of RPI, a total of 20 cases (23 implants) of RPI were collected, including 4 female (5 implants) and 16 male (18 implants), and the treatment medical records, intraoral photos and cone beam CT or oral panoramic radiographs records of each patient were collected. Each patient with RPI was treated accordingly and followed up regularly to evaluate its efficacy. Results:After treatment, the follow-up time for 20 patients with clinical symptoms of RPI was 13 (6, 40) months (1 month to 13 years), and the survival rate of the treated implants was 91% (21/23). There were 7 patients (8 implants) with inactive RPI, no clinical symptoms, no loosening of the implant, with normal occlusal load, and the disease was at the inactive stage and was not treated. The pulp vitality of the natural tooth adjacent to the implant was normal, and the implant could function normally. There were 13 patients (15 implants) with infected RPI, 1 patient (1 implant) had no loosening of the implant, and the periapical radiolucency of the implant disappeared after endodontic treatment of the natural tooth adjacent to the implant; 12 patients (14 implants) had clinical symptoms such as implant loosening, pus discharge, etc. Among them, 10 patients (12 implants) were successfully implanted in situ or in adjacent sites after removing the implants, and were successfully implanted after 3 to 20 months. Two patients(2 implants) were removed and no further implants were placed. Among them, 2 implants with infected RPI had cystic lesions, which was similar to natural root apex cysts. Conclusions:The etiology of RPI is related to inflammation of adjacent tooth root tips or bacterial residues from inflammatory lesions in the alveolar bone and bone augmentation. RPI can be treated by perfect root canal treatment of adjacent teeth, removal of inflammatory tissue, or simultaneous guided bone regeneration techniques.

Objective:To explore the correlation between serum soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2 (sTREM2) and cognitive impairment in patients with cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD), and the role of deep medullary vein (DMV) score in this process. Methods:A total of 140 patients with CSVD admitted to the Department of Neurology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan Medical University from December 2022 to August 2024 were selected as the research objects. The basic data statistics, head magnetic resonance imaging examination, cognitive function assessment, serum sTREM2 detection and DMV score were performed. All data were analyzed by SPSS 29.0 software and GraphPad Prism 10.0 software packages. Logistic regression model was used to explore the influencing factors of cognitive impairment. Structural equation model was used to analyze the mediating effect of DMV score on the association between serum sTREM2 and cognitive impairment. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to evaluate the predictive value of serum sTREM2 level and DMV score for cognitive impairment in CSVD patients. Results:Serum sTREM2 level ( B=0.017, OR=1.017, 95% CI=1.003-1.031), DMV score ( B=0.375, OR=1.455, 95% CI=1.175-1.802) and years of education ( B=-0.248, OR=0.780, 95% CI=0.635-0.958) were risk factors for cognitive impairment (all P<0.05). sTREM2 not only directly affected cognitive function, but also indirectly affected cognitive function through DMV score. The direct effect (effect size=-0.022) and mediating effect (effect size=-0.007) accounted for 75.9% and 24.1% of the total effect (effect size=-0.029), respectively. The areas under the ROC curve of serum sTREM2 level, DMV score, and their combination for predicting cognitive impairment in CSVD patients were 0.880, 0.891, and 0.910, respectively (all P<0.001). Conclusion:Serum sTREM2 not only directly affects the cognitive function of patients with cerebral small vessel disease, but also indirectly affects cognitive function through DMV score. The combination of serum sTREM2 levels and DMV score has high predictive value for the risk of CSVD-related cognitive impairment.

Granulocytic myeloid-derived suppressor cells(G-MDSCs)are the principal subsets of myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs),which involved in development and progression of a variety of tumor and non-tumor diseases.G-MDSCs mediated disfunction of immune effector cells(such as T cells and NK cells)through producing Arg-1,ROS,iNOS,etc.is major cause of its immunosuppressive function. To date,a large number of studies have focused on tumor-promoting effects of G-MDSCs.However,their complex immunomodulatory functions, especially their positive effects in diseases such as autoimmune arthritis, are often overlooked.Besides,G-MDSCs share the same origin and phenotype with neutrophils, but their immune functions are heterogeneous. Therefore, precision of G-MDSCs targeted therapy will be largely improved if the two can be accurately distinguished, though this field is still under exploration. At present, there are abundant experimental studies on G-MDSCs at home and abroad, mainly in tumors, but there are no domestic reports on the immunomodulatory function of G-MDSCs in tumors and non-tumor diseases. Therefore,in this review,we summarizes the different roles played by G-MDSCs in tumor and non-tumor diseases,in order to reveal the important and complex functions of G-MDSCs in immune regulation.

Objective:
To explore the association between parent-child connectedness and romantic relationships of secondary vocational school students and the moderating effect of peers romantic behavior, providing scientific basis for family and school health education.
Methods:
From March to April 2021,2 426 students from six secondary vocational and technical schools in Shanghai and Shaanxi Province were selected to conduct the survey by combining convenience sampling and cluster sampling.Electronic questionnaires were used to collect data on students family characteristics, oneself and peer romantic behaviors, and parent-child bonding. The t-test was employed for inter group comparisons, and binary Logistic regression analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between parent-child bonding levels, peer romantic behavior, and the romantic behavior of secondary vocational students.
Results:
The mother-child connection (2.63±0.77) was higher than that of father-child connection (2.48±0.78), with statistically significant difference ( t =6.83, P <0.01). Multivariable Logistic regression showed that overall father-child connectedness was negatively associated with students romantic relationships( OR =0.86,95% CI =0.76-0.97, P =0.02)and was only associated to girls romantic relationships when stratified by gender( OR =0.79,95% CI =0.66-0.93, P =0.01). Peers romantic relationships were positively associated with students romantic relationships ( OR =3.19-5.12, all P <0.01), and there was a moderating effect of the association between maternal connectedness and boys romantic relationships ( OR =1.67, 95% CI =1.05-2.66, P =0.03). Among boys without romantic peers, mother-child connectedness was negatively associated with their romantic relationships ( OR = 0.60 , 95% CI =0.36-0.99, P <0.05). In the total sample of Shanghai and girls of Shaanxi, father-child connectedness was negatively correlated with the romantic relationships of secondary vocational school students ( OR =0.84,0.65,95% CI =0.71-1.00,0.50-0.85,both P <0.05). Peer romantic relationships exhibited a negative moderating effect on the influence of mother-child connectedness on the romantic relationships of males in Shanghai ( OR =1.91, 95% CI =1.03-3.57, P <0.05).
Conclusions
The father-daughter connectedness is negatively correlated with girls romantic behavior, and peer romantic behavior weakens the correlation between mother-child connectedness and boys romantic behavior. Efforts should be made to enhance the parent-child connectedness of secondary vocational students and their ability to cope with peer influence, providing proper guidance for adolescents heterosexual interactions.
