Objective This study investigated feasible cases and their significance in promoting the"generalized"development of inspection through digital-intelligent equipment.Methods A qualitative research approach was used,involving interviews conducted between February 2025 and March 2025 with experts in traditional Chinese medicine diagnostics,clinical research methodology,medical engineering integration,and related disciplines,using both online and offline methods.In accordance with the Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research,feasible cases involving the specific application of digital equipment in various parts of observation were collected through item enrichment.The significance of extending observation capabilities via these cases was analyzed,along with the overall implications of integrating digital technologies with traditional inspection method.Results Interviews were completed with 11 experts from domestic universities and research institutes in the fields of traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis,medical engineering integration,and related disciplines.A total of 78 feasible cases of digital-intelligent inspection were identified,along with 69 insights regarding the significance of enhancing the inspection capabilities.These insights were synthesized into two dimensions and 23 holistic meanings.The first dimension is to expand the scope of inspection,including obtaining internal environmental characteristics,observing external environmental characteristics,expanding thermodynamic characteristic data,and crossing time and space.The second dimension is to improve the quality of observation and diagnosis information collection and analysis,including 19 specific meanings,such as standardized collection environment,objective quantification,and refined observation.Conclusion Digital-intelligent equipment plays a significant role in expanding the scope of inspection content and achieving high-quality acquisition and analysis of extensive inspection information.These advancements extend and enrich the capabilities of traditional inspection method in traditional Chinese medicine.

Preterm birth (PTB), predominantly induced by intraamniotic inflammation, stands as the foremost contributor to neonatal morbidity and mortality globally. Fetal inflammatory response syndrome, stemming from the activation of the innate immune system, signifies the occurrence of funisitis or chorionic vasculitis. Maternal-fetal complications associated with infection-related PTB encompass maternal sepsis, fetal demise, neonatal sepsis, neonatal neurological impairment, and chronic lung disease. The inflammatory cascade is initiated when Toll-like receptors present on immune cells within the fetal membranes and the female reproductive tract encounter pathogen-associated molecular patterns derived from infectious agents. Subsequently, the nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells facilitates the transcription of cytokines. The accumulation of neutrophils compromises the tissue integrity of the fetal membranes, leading to membrane rupture via the secretion of matrix metalloproteinases. Elevated prostaglandin levels prompt uterine contractions and cervical remodeling, resulting in progressive cervical effacement and dilation, ultimately culminating in fetal delivery. The diagnosis of PTB should encompass three pivotal criteria: gestational age, uterine activity, and the consequences of that uterine activity. The diagnosis of chorioamnionitis is established through a combination of clinical manifestations, laboratory findings, identification of infectious microorganisms, and placental pathology. Fetal monitoring involves antenatal ultrasonography and non-stress testing. The management of infection-related PTB involves controlling and treating the infection, timing delivery to coincide with optimal fetal lung maturity, and optimizing outcomes for both the mother and neonate. Current preventive strategies for PTB primarily focus on inhibiting myometrial contractions that arise from the inflammatory cascade initiating PTB. An understanding of these pathways serves as the cornerstone for the development of therapeutic interventions aimed at preventing PTB.

4.Analysis of the mediating effect of sense of coherence between chronic disease resource utilization and symptom distress in patients with liver cancer after hepatic arterial chemoembolization

Objective:To explore the mediating effect of sense of coherence (SOC) on the utilization of chronic disease resources and symptom distress in liver cancer patients after transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), so as to provide a basis for comprehensive management strategies from a new perspective.Methods:A convenience sampling method was used to select 260 inpatients who underwent TACE in Xinxiang Central Hospital and Henan Provincial People's Hospital from September 2023 to October 2024 as the research objects. The Basic Information Questionnaire, Sense of Coherence Scale-13 (SOC-13), Chronic Illness Resource Survey (CIRS), and the Rotterdam Symptom Checklist (RSCL) were used to investigate the patients. Pearson correlation was used to analyze the relationships among SOC, chronic disease resource utilization, and symptom distress in patients after TACE. Structural equation modeling was established using AMOS 21.0 software to verify the mediating effect.Results:A total of 260 questionnaires were distributed, and 249 valid questionnaires were recovered, with a valid recovery rate of 95.77% (249/260). The SOC-13 score of 249 patients after TACE was (44.30±7.64), the CIRS score was (46.84±7.02), and the RSCL score was (93.61±8.85). The SOC-13 score was positively correlated with the CIRS score ( P<0.01) and negatively correlated with the RSCL score ( P<0.01). The CIRS score was negatively correlated with the RSCL score ( P<0.01). SOC had a direct negative effect on symptom distress (β'=-0.382, P<0.01), chronic disease resource utilization had a direct negative effect on symptom distress (β'=-0.176, P<0.01), and SOC played a partial mediating role between chronic disease resource utilization and symptom distress (β'=-0.148, P<0.01), with the mediating effect accounting for 45.68% of the total effect. Conclusions:There are certain deficiencies in the sense of coherence and chronic disease resource utilization in patients after TACE, and the phenomenon of symptom distress is obvious. SOC plays a partial mediating role between chronic disease resource utilization and symptom distress.
5.Occupational therapy combined with computerized cognitive remediation therapy for the treatment of early-onset Alzheimer's disease: a case report

This paper reported a patient with early-onset Alzheimer's disease (AD) who had previously responded poorly to anti-dementia medications while showed improvement in cognitive functioning after treatment with occupational therapy and computerized cognitive remediation therapy (CCRT) for 50 minutes three times per week. This case report provided an in-depth evaluation of occupational therapy combined with CCRT for early-onset AD in an effort to inform cognitive rehabilitation of patients with AD. 6.Epidemiological characteristics and trends of other infectious diarrhea among children during 2014-2020

Objective:
To analyze the epidemiological characteristics and trends of other infectious diarrhea among children under 18 years old in Guangzhou City from 2014 to 2020, and to explore the correlation between climatic factors and the incidence of the disease, so as to provide reference for the early prevention of infectious diseases.
Methods:
The data of cases of other infectious diarrhea and meteorological data of children under 18 years old in Guangzhou City from 2014 to 2020 were collected through the Chinese Infectious Disease Reporting System and the Guangzhou Meteorological Bureau. The correlation between meteorological factors and the incidence of other infectious diarrhea was analyzed using negative binomial regression.
Results:
A total of 104 566 cases of other infectious diarrhea among children under 18 years old were reported in Guangzhou City from 2014 to 2020, with a male to female ratio of 1.48∶1. The incidence rate was the highest in 2017 (980.83 per 100 000) and the lowest in 2020 (388.22 per 100 000). The peak of incidence occurred from October to March of the following year. Children under 5 years old accounted for 87.95% of all cases. The number of cases of other infectious diarrhea was negatively correlated with the temperature of the previous 6 days ( IRR = -0.07 ), and positively correlated with the temperature difference on the day of onset ( IRR =0.02) (both P <0.05). It was also positively correlated with the wind speed of the previous 7 days ( IRR=0.07, P <0.05), but there was no statistically significant correlation with the relative humidity on the day of onset ( IRR=-0.00, P >0.05).
Conclusions
Low temperature, large temperature difference, and high wind speed can increase the risk of other infectious diarrhea. It is necessary to strengthen the prediction and early warning in conjunction with meteorological changes, and warn kindergartens and schools to enhance preventive measures against the clustering of other infectious diarrhea cases.
7.Distinct gut microbiota and metabolic profiles in patients with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease

Objective:To investigate the gut microbiota and metabolic profiles of patients with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD), and to identify potential microbial biomarkers with diagnostic values.Methods:A total of 16 NMOSD patients, 6 MOGAD patients, and 22 age- and sex-matched healthy controls were recruited from Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology since June 2024. Fecal samples were subjected to metagenomic sequencing and untargeted metabolomics. Differential microbes were identified using LEfSe (linear discriminant analysis effect size), and receiver operating characteristic curve analysis was performed to evaluate diagnostic potential. Spearman correlation analysis was used to assess relationships between key microbes, metabolites, and serum antibody titers.Results:Distinct alterations in gut microbiota were observed in both disease groups compared with healthy controls. Ligilactobacillus salivarius was significantly enriched in both NMOSD and MOGAD patients and exhibited robust diagnostic accuracy (area under the curve=0.779 P=0.005). Metabolomics revealed that levels of ethosuximide and lysine-proline were elevated, while free fatty acids (15∶1) and 5, 6-dihydrothymine were reduced in the disease groups. Analysis results indicated that Ligilactobacillus salivarius abundance was positively correlated with aquaporin 4 antibody titers in NMOSD patients ( r=0.522, P=0.046). Conclusions:Patients with NMOSD and MOGAD have characteristic alterations in gut microbial and metabolic profiles.
8.Developing a polygenic risk score for pelvic organ prolapse: a combined risk assessment approach in Chinese women.

Pelvic organ prolapse (POP), whose etiology is influenced by genetic and clinical risk factors, considerably impacts women's quality of life. However, the genetic underpinnings in non-European populations and comprehensive risk models integrating genetic and clinical factors remain underexplored. This study constructed the first polygenic risk score (PRS) for POP in the Chinese population by utilizing 20 disease-associated variants from the largest existing genome-wide association study. We analyzed a discovery cohort of 576 cases and 623 controls and a validation cohort of 264 cases and 200 controls. Results showed that the case group exhibited a significantly higher PRS than the control group. Moreover, the odds ratio of the top 10% risk group was 2.6 times higher than that of the bottom 10%. A high PRS was significantly correlated with POP occurrence in women older than 50 years old and in those with one or no childbirths. As far as we know, the integrated prediction model, which combined PRS and clinical risk factors, demonstrated better predictive accuracy than other existing PRS models. This combined risk assessment model serves as a robust tool for POP risk prediction and stratification, thereby offering insights into individualized preventive measures and treatment strategies in future clinical practice.

9.Resection of mediastinal tumor combined with persistent left superior vena cava: A case report

Persistent left superior vena cava is a rare venous variant that is often combined with cardiovascular malformations. In thoracic surgery, especially mediastinal tumor resection, neglect of this variant may make the surgery difficult and risky, and careful preoperative imaging interpretation and adequate preoperative evaluation play an important role in the perioperative safety of the patient. In this paper, we reported a case of a 17-year-old female patient with a persistent left superior vena cava combined with mediastinal tumors. She was successfully discharged 5 days after thoracoscopic surgery, and after 3 years of postoperative follow-up, no tumor recurrence was observed.
