Objective To explore the correlation between serum angiotensin-converting enzyme(SACE),matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)and haptoglobin(HPT)with pulmonary infection in patients with schizophrenia.Methods A total of 83 patients with schizophrenia were selected and divided into the infected group(40 cases)and the non-infected group(43 cases)according to whether they had pulmonary infection.Data of antipsychotic drugs,length of hospital stay,course of disease and electroconvulsive therapy were collected.Serum SACE,MMP-9 and HPT levels were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Spearman correlation analysis was used to determine serum SACE,MMP-9 and HPT and pulmonary infection in patients with schizophrenia.Logistic regression was used to analyze risk factors for pulmonary infection in patients with schizophrenia,and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were used to evaluate the predictive value of serum SACE,MMP-9 and HPT in patients with pulmonary infection.Results Before treatment,the types of antipsychotic drugs≥2,the proportion of electroconvulsive therapy,serum SACE,MMP-9 and HPT levels were higher in the infected group than those in the non-infected group(P＜0.05).After treatment,there were no significant differences in serum SACE,MMP-9 and HPT levels between the infected group and the non-infected group(P＞0.05).Serum SACE,MMP-9 and HPT were positively correlated with pulmonary infection in patients with schizophrenia(P＜0.05).More than 2 types of antipsychotic drugs,electroconvulsive therapy and elevated SACE,MMP-9 and HPT were risk factors for pulmonary infection in schizophrenia patients(P＜0.05).The ROC curve analysis showed that the combined serum SACE,MMP-9 and HPT for pneumonia in schizophrenic patients were better than each of these indicators alone in predicting pulmonary infection in patients with schizophrenia.Conclusion Serum SACE,MMP-9 and HPT are related with pulmonary infection in patients with schizophrenia,and which can be used as potential indicators for predicting pulmonary infection in patients with schizophrenia.

Objective To explore the effect of targeted silencing wild-type p53-induced phosphatase 1(Wip1)on paclitaxel(PTX)chemosensitivity of ovarian cancer cell line A2780.Methods The ovarian cancer cell lines A2780 served as the research object,the stable cell line Wip1-sgRNA with low expression of Wip1 was constructed by infecting cell line A2780 with lentivirus(Wip1-sgRNA group),while the control cell line was NC-sgRNA(NC-sgRNA group).The cells were treated with PTX at appropriate time and divided into the Wip1-sgRNA+PTX group and NC-sgRNA+PTX group.The CCK8 method was used to detect the cell proliferation ability,the flow cytometry was used to detect the cell apoptosis,and the Transwell invasion assay was used to detect the cell invasion ability.Results Compared with the NC-sgRNA group,the expression lev-els of Wip1 mRNA and protein in the Wip1-sgRNA group were significantly down-regulated(P＜0.001).Un-der the condition of PTX gradient treatment for the same time,the cell survival rate of the Wip1-sgRNA group was significantly lower than that of the NC-sgRNA group(P＜0.001).The half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50)of PTX in cells of the Wip1-sgRNA group at 48 h was significantly lower than that of the NC-sgRNA group(P＜0.001).Compared with the NC-sgRNA group,the proliferation ability of the Wip1-sgRNA group was significantly weakened(P＜0.001),the rate of cellular apoptosis was significantly in-creased(P＜0.001),and the number of transmenbrane cells was significantly decreased(P＜0.001).After PTX treatment,the proliferation ability was weakened compared with corresponding control groups,the rate of cellular apoptosis was significantly increased,and the number of transmenbrane cells was significantly de-creased;additionally,compared with the NC-sgRNA+PTX group,the cellular proliferation ability of the Wip1-sgRNA+PTX group was significantly weakened(P＜0.001),the rate of cellular apoptosis was signifi-cantly increased(P＜0.001),and the number of transmenbrane cells was significantly decreased(P＜0.001).Conclusion Wip1 gene silencing could increase the chemosensitivity of human ovarian cancer cell lines A2780 to PTX.

Objective: To analysis gender disparities in epidemiological trend of HIV/AIDS disease burden among Chinese population aged 10-24 years from 1990 to 2019. Methods: The Global Burden of Disease Study (GBD 2019) results tool was used to extract the number of deaths, mortality rate, disability adjusted life years (DALY), DALY rate, years of life lost (YLL), YLL rate, years lived with disability (YLD) and YLD rate to comprehensively analyze the change range of HIV/AIDS disease burden in the Chinese population aged 10-24 years from 1990 to 2019. Results: In 2019, the number of deaths, mortality rate, DALY, DALY rate, YLL, YLL rate, YLD and YLD rate of Chinese population aged 10-24 years due to HIV/AIDS were 847, 0.37 per 100 000 , 62 621 person years, 27.51 per 100 000, 58 036 person years, 25.49 per 100 000, 4 584 person years, 2.01 per 100 000 respectively, with the increase of 401.18%, 691.49%, 370.48%, 648.26%, 409.53%, 710.33%, 138.87% and 279.25% , compared with the data in 1990. In term of gender, the number of deaths, mortality rate, DALY, and DALY rate of Chinese male population aged 10-14, 15-19 and 20-24 years due to HIV/AIDS in 2019 were higher than those of female, and the growth rate (compared with 1990) was also higher than that of female. In term of the age group, the increase in people aged 10-14 years was higher than that of people aged 20-24 years. From 1990 to 2019, with the increase of year and age, gender disparity between mortality and DALY rate widened. Conclusion Compared with data in 1990, the risk of HIV/AIDS infection in 2019 among Chinese population aged 10-24 years continued to increase, especially among young people of 10-14 years. Gender disparity is exacerbating.

Objective:To evaluate dynamic changes of functional status in elderly emergency inpatients by using the interRAI Acute Care for Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment(interRAI AC-CGA), and to analyze whether assessment results are helpful for clinical decision-making.Methods:Elderly patients(aged 60 years and older)who were hospitalized in the Acute Care Unit of PLA General Hospital from October 2017 to March 2018 were included.Each patient received the interRAI AC-CGA instrument-based assessment at admission(day 1), on day 7 and day 28 after admission.Analysis of collected data was conducted using interRAI AC-CGA scales, geriatric syndrome screening and risk identification of adverse outcomes, in order to examine dynamic changes of functional status in patients at and after admission and to explore the relationship between functional status at admission and outcomes(at discharge).Results:Thirty-four patients were evaluated, including 26 males and 8 females, aged from 60 to 101 years, with a mean age of(84.2±10.1)years.Patients had a variety of functional abnormalities at admission and during hospitalization, in which the ability to perform activities of daily living(ADL)and instrumental activities of daily living(IADL)decreased significantly.Compared with evaluation results on day 1, the incidences of functional abnormalities on day 7 and day 28 declined, and there was improvement in transient depression, pain and falls( χ2=6.298, 6.027 and 7.766, P=0.043, 0.049 and 0.021). After evaluation on day 28, 16 patients were discharged and 18 remained hospitalized(including 2 deaths). The rate for most abnormality was lower in the discharge group than in the continued hospitalization group, and the rates for abnormal communication and falls were lower in the discharge group than in the continued hospitalization group( χ2=6.349 and 5.443, P=0.019 and 0.030). Age(≥85 years old)had no effect on discharge.There was no significant difference in hospital discharge rate between the advanced age group(≥85 years old)and the elderly group(60-84 years old)(40.0% or 8/20 vs.57.1% or 8/14, χ2=0.971, P=0.324). Conclusions:The interRAI AC-CGA instrument can systematically and dynamically estimate functional changes in elderly emergency inpatients.Functional status at admission is related to prognosis(performance at discharge)of patients.

Objective To analyze the epidemic status of principal human parasites, so as to provide scientific evidence for making prevention countermeasures for Guangdong Province in the future. Methods In 2015, a survey was performed according to the scheme of "The 3rd National Survey of Principal Human Parasites"as well as the incidence of parasites disease in Guangdong Province,the residents at 48 investiation sites in counties were surveyed. The survey of the soil-transmitted nematodes (Ascariasis, Ancylostoma, Trichuris trichiura and Enterobius vermicularis) and intestinal protozoa were performed based on the ecological regions and stratified by economic and geographic situation.The survey of food borne Clonorchis sinensis was performed along with the soil-transmitted nematodes in rural areas, and it was performed by the sample method of random cluster in cities and towns.The residents in each investigation site as the object, the ovum of the soil-transmitted nematodes, Clonorchis sinensis and other helminths were examed by the modified Kato-Katz method, test tube filter paper was used to identify Hookwormspecies, and the intestinal protozoa was checked by direct smear method. The transparent tape anal swabs method for children aged 3 - 6 years to check Enterobius vermicularis. Results Totally 12 401 residents of 48 survey sites from 22 counties were surveyed, and the total infection rate of intestinal parasites was 8.29%(1 028/12 401). The infection rate of soil-transmitted nematodes was 3.39% (420/12 401),in which the infection rate of Ascariasis, Ancylostoma, Trichuris trichiura and Enterobius vermicularis were 0.52% (64/12 401), 1.89%(234/12 401),0.46%(57/12 401),and 0.52%(65/12 401),respectively.The infection rate of Clonorchis sinensis was 4.90%(608/12 401). Nine hundred and sixty-seven children were tested for eggs of Enterobius vermicularis with the infection rate of 12.41% (120/967). The number of hook larva culture was 153, among them, 140 were hookworm larvae of America and no duodenal hookworm larvae and other nematode species were found.Totally 9 309 residents were tested for intestinal protozoa infection,and the infection rate was 0.31%(29/9 309). Conclusion In Guangdong Province, the infection rate of soil-transmitted nematodes is decreasing while the infection rate of Clonorchis sinensis is still high, and the control work of parasites still should be strengthened especially for food borne parasitic diseases.

Objective To understand the current status of dysphagia among community elderly of Dongcheng District of Beijing Municipality and to explore its related factors.Methods From May 2016 to February 2017, the International Resident Assessment Instrument Home Care (InterRAI HC) was used for data of home care needs assessment of community elderly (≥60 years old) to carry out the focused analysis of dysphagia. The evaluation result of the term "nutrition intake patterns" of InterRAI HC was taken as the standard to determine whether to be with or without dysphagia. The chi-square test and Logistic regression were used to analyze the influencing factors of dysphagia among community elderly.Results Among 229 community elderly, there were 49 cases with dysphagia with 21.4％ for the incidence. The related factors of dysphagia among community elderly included the impaired balanced capacity (OR=4.913, 95％CI: 1.772-13.618, P=0.002), yield of drinking water<1000 ml/d (OR=2.600, 95％CI: 1.253-5.396,P=0.010), ages (OR=1.048, 95％CI: 1.004-1.095,P=0.024), body mass index<18.5 kg/m2 (OR=4.576, 95％CI: 1.220-17.172,P=0.024) and history of Parkinson's disease (OR=2.505, 95％CI: 1.015-6.180,P=0.046).Conclusions The current status of dysphagia in community elderly of Dongcheng District of Beijing Municipality is worth attaching importance to. The dysphagia of the aged should be prevented, discovered and treated early by active measures such as paying close attention to related factors and effective screening.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the extraction technology of total polyphenol and total flavonoid in Gardenia jasminoi-des. METHODS:Plackett-burman(PB)design was used to select the ethanol volume fraction,liquid-solid ratio,particle size,ex-traction time and extraction temperature to determine the key factor affecting the extraction of total polyphenol and total flavonoids in G. jasminoides. Then central composite design (CCD) was combined with response surface method to optimize the extraction technology,and verification test was conducted. RESULTS:The optimal extraction conditions of total polyphenol were 40% etha-nol,particle size of 0.20 mm,extraction temperature of 60 ℃,liquid-solid ratio of 20,and extraction time of 20 min;the optimal extraction conditions of total flavonoids were 40% ethanol,particle size of 0.20 mm,extraction temperature of 30 ℃,liquid-solid ratio of 20,and extraction time of 20 min. In verification test,the contents of total polyphenol and total flavonoids in G. jasminoi-des were 1.70%(RSD=1.43%,n=3),3.23%(RSD=3.72%,n=3),with relative error of 1.80%,8.75% with predicted val-ues,respectively. CONCLUSIONS:The response surface method based on PB and CCD is simple,reasonable and feasible to opti-mize the extraction technology of total polyphenol and total flavonoids in G. jasminoides. The method can provide reference for its industrial extraction.

Objective To explore the application of Duff in treatment for patients with early stage threat ened abortion.Method 1000 patients with early stage threatened abortion admitted from Jan.2015 to Jun.2016 were selected,and were divided into two groups.All patients were treated by conventional therapy and Duff therapy.Treatment effects of the two groups were observed and compared.Results The differences of clinical characteristics between the two groups had no statistical significance (all P＞0.05).No serious adverse reactions oc curred to either group.There was no significant difference in remission and disappearance time of clinical symptoms between the two groups (t=0.334,0.367,all P＞0.05).The total treatment efficiency was higher in the observation group than in the control group,but the differences had no statistical significance (x2=0.058,/P＞0.05).Conclusion There is a certain application value of Duff treatment for early stage threatened abortion,which is safe,efficient,and convenient,worthy of promotion.

Objective To investigate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities of different extracts from X. mongolicum compared with that of X. sibiricum. Methods Seventy male Kunming mices were randomly divided into seven groups:control group,aspirin group,the ethanol extracts of X. sibiricum group and X. mongolicum group,the extracts from X. mongolicum with ether,ethyl acetate,and n-butyl alcohol group(n=10 each). The mice were administrated with 500 mg·kg-1 ( p. o. ) of different extracts. The hot-plate tests and the xylene-induced ear edema in mice were performed to observe the analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities,respectively. Results In the hot-plate tests,the pain threshold from the extracts of X. sibiricum and the different extracts from X. mongolicum at 60,120,180 min were prolonged,and there was no statistically significant differences(P>0. 05) between the ethanol extracts from X. sibiricum and X. mongolicum. The best analgesic activity was the ether and butyl alcohol extracts from X. mongolicum. Meanwile,the ear edema from the extracts of X. sibiricum and the different extracts of X. mongolicum were inhibited significantly(P<0. 05). There was also no significant differences between the ethanol extracts of X. sibiricum and X. mongolicum(P>0. 05). The ether and butyl alcohol extracts from of X. mongolicum showed the best anti-inflammatory effect. Conclusion X. mongolicum exhibites significant anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities comparable to that of X. sibiricum. The best anti-inflammation and analgesic activities were from ether and butyl alcohol extracts from X. mongolicum.
