The anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) has recently been proposed as a key player in the representation of itch stimuli. However, to date, little is known about the contribution of specific ACC interneuron populations to itch processing. Using c-Fos immunolabeling and in vivo Ca²⁺ imaging, we reported that both histamine and chloroquine stimuli-induced acute itch caused a marked enhancement of vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP)-expressing interneuron activity in the ACC. Behavioral data indicated that optogenetic and chemogenetic activation of these neurons reduced scratching responses related to histaminergic and non-histaminergic acute itch. Similar neural activity and modulatory role of these neurons were seen in mice with chronic itch induced by contact dermatitis. Together, this study highlights the importance of ACC VIP⁺ neurons in modulating itch-related affect and behavior, which may help us to develop novel mechanism-based strategies to treat refractory chronic itch in the clinic.

Objective: To investigate the prevalence of frailty and its influencing factors among the elderly, so as to provide the evidence for prevention and control of frailty. Methods: The elderly population at ages of 65 years and older were selected from 14 administrative villages or communities in Wuzhong District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, using the random cluster sample method from July to November, 2022. Demographic information, smoking and alcohol consumption were collected through questionnaire surveys. Physical activity, sleep quality and frailty were evaluated using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and the FRAIL Scale, respectively. Factors affecting frailty among the elderly were evaluated using a multinomial logistic regression model. Results: A total of 8 782 elderly peolple were surveyed, including 4 259 males (48.50%) and 4 523 females (51.50%). The median age was 71.00 (interquartile range, 8.00) years. There were 2 145 cases with pre-frailty (24.42%) and 189 cases with frailty (2.15%). Multinomial logistic regression analysis showed that age (75-<85 years, OR=1.330, 95%CI: 1.186-1.492; ≥85 years, OR=2.452, 95%CI: 1.882-3.195), smoking (current smoking, OR=0.838, 95%CI: 0.714-0.983), physical activity level (low, OR=1.161, 95%CI: 1.010-1.333) and sleep quality (poor, OR=2.248, 95%CI: 1.822-2.774) were associated with pre-frailty; age (75-<85 years,OR=2.629, 95%CI: 1.921-3.596; ≥85 years, OR=3.067, 95%CI: 1.621-5.801), educational level (junior high school and above, OR=0.488, 95%CI: 0.298-0.798), body mass index (underweight, OR=1.848, 95%CI: 1.023-3.337; obesity, OR=1.798, 95%CI: 1.180-2.740), smoking (quit smoking, OR=1.787, 95%CI: 1.007-3.171; current smoking, OR=0.448, 95%CI: 0.242-0.830), alcohol consumption (yes, OR=0.532, 95%CI: 0.291-0.972), physical activity level (low, OR=2.757, 95%CI: 1.646-4.616) and sleep quality (poor, OR=3.911, 95%CI: 2.438-6.273) were associated with frailty. Conclusion Older, low physical activity level, poor sleep quality, underweight and obesity are associated with frailty of the elderly.

Objective To evaluate the molluscicidal effects and costs of spraying 20% suspension concentrate of pyricloben-zuron sulphate (SCPS) with drones against Pomacea canaliculata in paddy environments, so as to provide insights into the extensive applications of pyriclobenzuron against P. canaliculata. Methods On July 2022, a paddy field was selected from Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province as the study area, and 72 independent rectangular plots measuring 2 m × 1 m were allocated in the study area, with 1 m interval between each plot, and 20 P. canaliculata snails gently placed in each plot. The activity of 25% wettable powder of pyriclobenzuron sulphate (WPPS) by manual spraying at doses of 0.50, 1.00, 2.00 g/m² and 4.00 g/m² against P. canaliculata was tested in 54 plots, and manual spraying of 50% wettable powder of niclosamide ethanolamine salt (WPNES) at a dose of 0.10 g/m² served as a chemical control, while manual spraying of the same volume of clean water served as a blank control, with 9 plots in each group. The activity of SCPS against P. canaliculata was tested in the remaining 18 plots. Based on the molluscicidal tests of WPPS, the molluscicidal effect of SCPS by manual spraying at doses of 0.20, 0.30, 0.40 g/m² and 0.50 g/m² against P. canaliculata was evaluated, and manual spraying of WPNES at a dose of 0.10 g/m² served as a chemical control, while manual spraying of the same volume of clean water served as a blank control, with three plots in each group. On July 2023, 14 paddy fields with a mean living P. canaliculata density of > 5 snails/m² were selected from Yujiang District, Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province for molluscicidal tests. Based on the molluscicidal effect of pyriclobenzuron against P. canaliculata in plots, the molluscicidal effects of WPPS by manual spraying at doses of 0.25, 0.50 g/m² and 1.00 g/m² and manual applications of WPPS at dose of 0.25, 0.50, 1.00 g/m² and 2.00 g/m² mixed with soil were tested, and manual spraying of 0.10 g/m² WPNES served as a chemical control group, while manual spraying of the same volume of clean water served as a blank control, with one paddy field in each group. Based on the effect of pyriclobenzuron against P. canaliculata in plots, the activity of SCPS sprayed with drones at doses of 0.25 g/m² and 0.50 g/m² mixed in water at 2 kg/667 m² and 4 kg/667 m² was tested against P. canaliculata, and spraying of the same volume of clean water with drones served as a blank control. All P. canaliculata snails were captured 3 days and 7 days following chemical treatment in plots and paddy fields and identified for survival, and the mortality and corrected mortality of P. canaliculata snails were estimated. In addition, the areas of chemical treatment, amount of molluscicide use and labor costs of chemical treatment were estimated in molluscicidal tests in paddy fields, and the costs of chemical treatment for an area covering 667 m² by drones and manual applications were calculated. Results The mortality of P. canaliculata snails was all 100% in plots 3 days and 7 days following spraying WPPS at doses of 0.50, 1.00, 2.00 g/m² and 4.00 g/m², and the mortality rates of P. canaliculata snails were 66.67% to 100.00% 3 days post-treatment with SCPS at various doses (χ² = 277.897, P < 0.05) and 76.67% to 100.00% 7 days post-treatment (χ² = 274.206, P < 0.05). The mortality rates of P. canaliculata snails were 98.19% to 100.00% 3 days post-treatment with WPPS at various doses in paddy fields. There was a significant difference in the mortality of P. canaliculata snails among WPPS treatment groups and controls (χ² = 270.778, P < 0.05), and there were no significant differences between WPPS treatment groups and the chemical control group (all P values > 0.05), while there were significant differences in the mortality of P. canaliculata snails between WPPS treatment groups and the blank control group (all P values < 0.05). The mortality rates of P. canaliculata snails were 89.83% to 95.31% 3 days post-treatment with SCPS at various doses sprayed with drones, and there was a significant difference in the mortality of P. canaliculata snails among SCPS treatment groups and the blank control group (χ² = 1 132.892, P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the mortality of P. canaliculata snails among SCPS treatment groups or water mixture groups (all P values > 0.05), and there were significant differences in the mortality of P. canaliculata snails between SCPS treatment groups and the blank control group (all P values < 0.05). The mortality rates of P. canaliculata snails were 94.62% to 100.00% 7 days post-treatment with SCPS at various doses sprayed with drones, and there was a significant difference in the mortality of P. canaliculata snails among SCPS treatment groups and the blank control group (χ² = 1 266.932, P < 0.05), with the highest mortality found following spraying 0.50 g/m² SCPS mixed in 2 kg/667 m² water with drones (P < 0.05). The costs of P. canaliculata snail control by drones and manually were 35.85 Yuan/667 m² and 43.33 Yuan/667 m²; however, the snail control efficiency was 6.67 times higher by drones than by manual applications. Conclusions SCPS sprayed with drones is highly active against P. canaliculata snails in paddy fields. SCPS sprayed with drones is highly efficient and low in cost for P. canaliculata snail control in paddy fields, beaches and river courses.

In the context of Chinese narrative medicine， narrative foreclosure is an abnormal state in the process of life narrative， which is the “fractured or stagnation of the life narrative process”. Based on analyzing the characteristics and performance of typical traumatic narrative foreclosures in literary works and clinical reality， this paper proposed that narrative care is of great significance for the traumatic subject to get out of narrative foreclosures and re-enter the narrative process of mental and physical comfort. “Narrative care” is a way of care in which medical staff or educator in health institutions use their narrative capital and narrative wisdom to establish interpersonal narrative connections with themselves， their families， and service or education recipients， so as to nourish subjects in narrative foreclosure and help them get out of life’s dilemmas. Narrative caregivers assist the traumatic subjects in gaining the restorative power to repair the fractured narrative process of life through the construction of a narrative community， getting out of isolation， achieving growth， and restoring overall health.

Objective:To monitor intra-fractional set-up errors in tumor radiotherapy using a real-time intelligent capture system for precision displacement.Methods:A simulated radiotherapy environment was created in both the laboratory and the treatment room. A three-axis ( xyz) displacement platform (LD60-LM) and dial gauges were used as displacement measurement tools. Moreover, a real-time intelligent capture system for precision displacement was developed for displacement monitoring. With 23 patients treated with radiotherapy enrolled in this study, the above system was employed to monitor their intra-fractional set-up errors in fractionated radiotherapy. Descriptive analyses were conducted on the deviations between the data captured by cameras and the actual displacement, obtaining the mean values and standard deviation. Results:The monitoring calibration data from the laboratory revealed displacement differences of ≤ 0.5 mm within 20 mm and a maximum displacement difference of 1.47 mm for 50 mm. In contrast, the calibration result from the treatment room exhibited deviations of ± 0.2 mm on the y- z axes, as displayed by both the left and right cameras, and ± 0.31 mm on the x- z axes, as displayed by the middle camera. During 37 radiotherapy sessions in 23 patients, the monitoring result from the middle camera revealed five deviations exceeding the threshold of 5 mm, with the maximum deviation duration and displacement of 57.2 s and 9.24 mm, respectively. Conclusions:The real-time intelligent capture system for precision displacement based on machine vision can achieve real-time monitoring of set-up errors during tumor radiotherapy. Nevertheless, further improvements and service testing are necessary for this system.

Objective:To establish the standard of nursing quality in bone oncology department, and provide the basis for scientific evaluation of nursing quality in bone oncology department.Methods:On the theoretical basis of Donabedian′s three-dimensional quality model of "structure-process-outcome", and through literature review and semi-structured interview method, the "evaluation index of nursing quality in bone oncology department" was preliminatively formulated from November 2022 to June 2023. The Delphi method was used to select 31 experts from 31 third-level A hospitals and nursing colleges in 27 provinces or municipalities across the country for two rounds of correspondence consultation. The criteria were screened and modified to determine the evaluation criteria of nursing quality in bone tumor specialty.Results:The questionnaire recovery rate of 2 rounds of expert consultation was 100.00%, the authority coefficient of 2 rounds of expert consultation was 0.93, and the coefficient of variation of 1, 2 and 3-grade standards were all less than or equal to 0.25. The Kendall′s coefficient of concordance of the primary standards of the two rounds of expert consultation were both 0.088, in the secondary standards were 0.103 and 0.140, in the tertiary standards were 0.119 and 0.110. Through 2 rounds of expert letter consultation, the evaluation criteria for the quality of care in bone tumor specialties were divided into three levels, including 3 primary standards (structural quality criteria, process quality criteria and outcome quality criteria), 21 secondary standards and 80 tertiary standards.Conclusions:The construction process of nursing quality standard in bone oncology department is scientific and reliable, reflecting specialty characteristics, and can provide scientific basis for the evaluation of nursing quality in bone oncology department and standardize nursing behavior.

Objective:To construct an anticipatory grief intervention scheme for family caregivers of advanced cancer patients based on narrative theory, and to provide reference for anticipatory grief nursing intervention.Methods:From October 2022 to May 2023, through literature research, semi-structured interview and brainstorming method, the first draft of nursing intervention plan was constructed, the Delphi method was used to conduct 2 rounds of correspondence consultation with 15 experts, and the indicators at all levels were modified according to the opinions of experts, and the final draft of intervention plan was formed.Results:The experts were all female, aged (49.67 ± 5.83) years old. The authority coefficient of the two rounds of experts was 0.87. The Kendall coordination coefficients of the first, second, and third level indicators after the first round of expert inquiry were 0.195, 0.113, and 0.093, respectively. The Kendall coordination coefficients of the first, second, and third level indicators after the second round of expert inquiry were 0.200, 0.119, and 0.101, respectively. The differences were statistically significant ( χ2 values were 8.76-107.21, all P<0.05).Finally, a nursing intervention plan based on narrative theory was formed, which included 4 primary indicators, 19 secondary indicators and 72 tertiary indicators. Conclusions:The anticipatory grief intervention scheme for family caregivers of advanced cancer patients is scientific, practical and feasible, and can be used for psychological nursing of family caregivers.

BACKGROUND:The landing error scoring system test is a standard for assessing the risk of non-contact injuries and has not yet been developed for Chinese college soccer programs. OBJECTIVE:To establish a test evaluation standard for the landing error scoring system to provide a basis for evaluating the risk of non-contact injuries in college soccer students. METHODS:A prospective cohort study was designed in which 219 athletes from 10 college soccer teams were tested with the standard landing error scoring system,and the subjects were followed up by questionnaires and medical examinations for non-contact injuries of the lower extremities and trunk for 1 year after testing to determine sex differences and assessment criteria for the landing error scoring system test indicators. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The total score of the landing error scoring system was(8.22±1.65)points for 219 subjects,(8.29±1.74)for males and(8.07±1.44)for females,with no significant difference between males and females(P>0.05).Within 1 year after the test,the overall injury rate of 219 subjects was 10.05%and the morbidity rate was 15.98%;the injury rate of male subjects with non-contact injury of the lower limbs and trunk was 12.75%and the morbidity rate was 20.13%;the injury rate of female subjects with non-contact injury of the lower limbs and trunk was 4.29%and the morbidity rate was 7.14%.There were no significant differences in the injury rate between men and women(P<0.05).The total score of the landing error scoring system was higher in the injury group than in the non-injury group[(9.50±1.14)vs.(8.08±1.64),P<0.01];for male subjects,the total score of the landing error scoring system was higher in the injury group than in the non-injury group[(9.63±1.12)vs.(8.09±1.73),P<0.01].The area under the curve for the total score of the landing error scoring system was 0.773(P=0.000),which had a diagnostic value for the risk of non-contact injury of the lower extremities and trunk in male subjects,with a best cut-off point of 8.5,sensitivity of 0.842,specificity of 0.623,positive likelihood ratio of 2.233,negative likelihood ratio of 0.254,relative risk factor of 8.400,and odds ratio of 8.816;the total score of the landing error scoring system was not applicable for assessing the risk of non-contact injury of the lower extremities and trunk in female subjects.To conclude,the landing error scoring system test can be used as a criterion to assess the risk of non-contact injury to the lower extremity and trunk in Chinese college male soccer players,with an optimal cut-off point of 8.5.The risk of non-contact injury to the lower extremity and trunk is 8.40 times higher in male athletes with a landing error scoring system test score of≥8.5 than in male athletes with a score of<8.5.

Objective:To compare the prognosis of percutaneous versus laparoscopic microwave ablation in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) classified as Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) stage 0 to A, and evaluate the impact of these two ablation modalities on treatment outcome.Methods:Clinical data of 198 patients with HCC of BCLC stages 0 to A undergoing microwave ablation treatment at the Second Hospital of Jiaxing and Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from January 2011 to December 2018 were retrospectively analyzed, including 149 males and 49 females, aged (57.4±9.6) years. Patients were divided into two groups based on the treatment modality: percutaneous microwave ablation group ( n=133) and laparoscopic microwave ablation group ( n=65). Survival rates were calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method, and the log-rank test was used to compare survival rates. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed using Cox regression to assess the impacts of percutaneous and laparoscopic microwave ablation on prognosis. Results:The median overall survivals for the percutaneous and laparoscopic microwave ablation groups were 54 months and 77 months, respectively. The 1-, 3-, and 5-year cumulative survival rates postoperatively were 95.6%, 67.3%, 47.4% for the percutaneous group, and 100.0%, 79.9%, 60.4% for the laparoscopic group, respectively, with the latter showing superior cumulative survival rates ( χ2=4.53, P=0.033). The median recurrence-free survival (RFS) was 27 months for the percutaneous group and 52 months for the laparoscopic group. The 1-, 3-, and 5-year RFS postoperatively were 67.4%, 41.1% and 32.8% for the percutaneous group, and 81.5%, 58.1%, and 46.7% for the laparoscopic group, respectively, with the latter showing superior RFS, and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2=7.20, P=0.007). Multivariate analysis indicated that percutaneous microwave ablation was associated with an increased risk of death ( HR=2.475, 95% CI: 1.423-4.305, P=0.001) and recurrence ( HR=1.996, 95% CI: 1.255-3.176, P=0.004). Conclusion:Laparoscopic approach was superior to percutaneous microwave ablation in patients with HCC of BCLC stages 0 to A, and percutaneous microwave ablation could be a risk factor for poor prognosis in these patients.

Objective To analyze the latent profiles of active aging among community older adults and its influencing factors,and explore relationship of different categories and nursing care needs.Methods Multistage stratified random sampling was used to select 341 community older people in Qingdao from June 2023 to August 2023 as the survey population.The study instruments included the General Information Questionnaire,the Active Ageing Scale,the Care Needs of the Elderly Scale.Latent profile analysis was used to explore the latent profiles of active aging on the community older adults.The influencing factors of latent profiles were identified by multivariate Logistic regression.Results The active aging of the community older people was identified as a model with 3 latent categories,defined as low active aging type(38.l％),medium active aging-high spiritual intelligence type type(51.6％),and high active aging-comprehensive type(10.3％).The influencing factors include age,education,monthly income level,nursing needs(all P＜0.05).Community older adults with low self-development and contribution needs are more likely to be low active aging type.Community older adults with high needs for life care and living environment(OR=3.268,P=0.0l 1),physical and psychological support(OR=1.972,P=0.025),and interpersonal communication and health knowledge(OR=3.433,P＜0.001)were more likely to be medium active aging-high spiritual intelligence type.Those with low protection and security needs(OR=0.446,P=0.012)were more likely to be medium active aging-high spiritual intelligence type type.Community older adults with low health monitoring needs(OR=0.297,P=0.029)and high specialty care needs(OR=3.019,P=0.033)were more likely to be high active aging-comprehensive type.Conclusion The level of active aging of older adults in the community is medium,which is characterized by 3 categories.Community nursing staffs should focus on the elderly with low active aging type and medium active aging-high spiritual intelligence type,and targeted intervention should be adopted according to different category characteristics,so as to accurately meet their nursing needs,finally improve the level of active aging of community older adults.
