Objective To investigate the impact of two different surgical methods, orthotopic kidney transplantation and abdominal heterotopic kidney transplantation, on the surgical outcomes of pig-to-pig kidney transplantation and the short-term survival of recipient pigs after surgery. Methods Twenty-four Bama miniature pigs were divided into two groups, with 12 pigs in each group, and underwent orthotopic kidney transplantation and abdominal heterotopic kidney transplantation, respectively. The perioperative indicators of the recipient pigs, renal blood perfusion, the overall incidence rate of complications and survival rate were compared between the two surgical methods. Results The total surgical time, renal artery anastomosis time, renal vein anastomosis time, cold ischemia time and total ischemia time were all shorter in the abdominal heterotopic kidney transplantation group than in the orthotopic kidney transplantation group, with statistically significant differences (all P<0.05). The number of satisfactory renal perfusion cases was higher in the abdominal heterotopic kidney transplantation group than in the orthotopic kidney transplantation group (83% vs. 75%), but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The total incidence of postoperative complications was 33% in the heterotopic kidney transplantation group, with a survival rate of 92%, and the cause of death was rupture of the vascular anastomosis. The total incidence of postoperative complications was 50% in the orthotopic kidney transplantation group, with a survival rate of 83%, and the causes of death were renal vein thrombosis and renal artery thrombosis. There were no statistically significant differences in the total incidence of postoperative complications and survival rates between the two groups (all P>0.05). Conclusions Compared with orthotopic kidney transplantation, abdominal heterotopic kidney transplantation showes better surgical outcomes in pig-to-pig kidney transplantation and is more beneficial for the short-term survival of recipient pigs after surgery. This provides experience for improving the stability of pig-to-non-human primate kidney xenotransplantation models in the future.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(6):779-782
Objective:
To explore relationship of sleep quality with overweight and obesity among middle school students, so as to provide a reference basis for improving adolescent sleep health.
Methods:
From September to December 2023, 5 713 middle school students aged 13 to 18 were selected by stratified cluster random sampling method in six regions, including Shanghai, Suzhou, Taiyuan, Wuyuan, Xingyi and Urumqi. Sleep quality survey was conducted on middle school students by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. Height and weight were measured, and World Health Organization s standards for growth and development of children and adolescents was used to evaluate their nutritional status. Both χ 2 test and Logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the association between sleep quality and nutritional status of middle school students.
Results:
The non compliance detection rate of sleep quality was 38.4% among girls, but 29.2% among boys, and the difference was of statistical significance( χ 2=54.08, P < 0.01 ). The detection rate of substandard sleep quality was 34.2% in the group with normal nutritional status, 38.3% in the group with overweight, 43.7% in the group with obesity and 26.0% in the group with emaciation, and the difference in the rates of substandard sleep quality among middle school students of different nutritional status was statistically significant ( χ 2=68.15, P <0.01). Logistic regression analysis showed that, after controlling for mental health and physical activity, the detection rate of substandard sleep quality in the obese groups was 1.30 times higher than that in the normal group, respectively( OR =1.30, 95% CI =1.06- 1.59 , P <0.01).
Conclusions
Sleep quality is correlated with overweight and obesity among middle school students, and there are gender differences. Intervention policies should be formulated according to the characteristics of different genders.

Objective:
To explore the association between physical activity and sleep quality among middle school students, so as to provide reference for adolescent sleep improvement.
Methods:
From September to December 2023, 5 713 middle school students aged 13-18 years were selected from Shanghai, Suzhou, Taiyuan, Wuyuan, Xingyi and Urumqi by stratified cluster random sampling method. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and Evaluation of Physical Activity Levels of Children and Adolescents Aged 7-18 Years were used to investigate and evaluate sleep quality and physical activity. Comparisons between groups were made using the t-test, Mann-Whitney U-test, and associations between physical activity and sleep quality of middle school students were analyzed using Spearman correlation and linear regression methods.
Results:
The total PSQI scores were 4.0(2.0,6.0) and 5.0 (3.0,6.0) for boys and girls, respectively, with significant sex difference ( Z =-10.90, P <0.01); light physical activity(LPA) and moderate to vigorous physical activity(MVPA) of boys were 18.57 (2.86, 42.86) and 68.57 (35.71, 119.18)min, and girls were 14.29 (0.00, 30.00) and 55.71 (31.43, 92.86)min respectively, and the differences were statistically significant ( Z =3.65, -8.65 , P <0.01). The results of Spearman correlation regression showed that adolescents MVPA was negatively correlated with the total PSQI score ( r =-0.04, P <0.01). After controlling for variables such as mental health, nutritional status and maximum oxygen uptake, the results of linear regression analysis showed that PSQI total score negatively predicted MVPA among middle school students ( B =-4.76, 95% CI =-7.16 to -2.36, P <0.05).
Conclusion
The longer the duration of physical activity among middle school students, the better the quality of sleep.
4.Association of physical activity and sedentary behavior with cardiorespiratory fitness among middle school students in Lhasa
Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(9):1318-1322
Objective:
To explore the relationship of physical activity (PA) and sedentary behavior (SB) with cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) among middle schoold students in Tibet, so as to provide empirical references for improving the cardiorespiratory fitness and health levels of adolescents in Tibet.
Methods:
From August to December 2020, 1 225 junior and senior high school students were selected from 2 middle schools in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, using the stratified cluster random sampling method. Triaxial accelerometers were used to evaluate PA and SB behaviors, and the 20 meter shuttle run was employed to assess CRF among the middle school students. Isochronous substitution modeling was used to analyze the associations of SB, low intensity physical activity (LPA), and moderate vigorous physical activity (MVPA) with CRF, and the saturation threshold effect in the dose response relationship between MVPA and CRF was analyzed through restricted cubic spline and two stage linear regression.
Results:
After adjusting for covariates such as gender, body mass index and sleep quality score, isotemporal substitution analysis showed that among junior high school students aged 13-15, replacing 30 minutes of SB ( B =1.73) or LPA ( B =2.38) with MVPA were positively associated with CRF (both P <0.05). Among senior high school students aged 16-18, replacing SB ( B =0.99) or LPA ( B =1.38) with MVPA were also positively associated with CRF (both P <0.05). Restricted cubic spline and two piecewise linear regression analyses indicated that only middle school girls aged 13-18 exhibited a saturation threshold effect between MVPA and CRF (logarithmic likelihood ratio test=0.03), with the optimal CRF improvement observed at 60 minutes of MVPA per day ( B=0.13, P < 0.01).
Conclusions
Reducing SB and LPA while increasing MVPA can improve CRF in Tibetan middle school students. To maximize CRF improvement, middle school girls should engage in at least 60 minutes of MVPA daily.

The transplantation group was divided further into two groups of allo-HSCT (22 cases) and auto-HSCT (11 cases) according to different transplantation modes. In non-transplantation group, remission was induced mostly by cyclophosphamide+messosodium+doxorubicin+dexamethasone+vincrine/methotrexate+Hyper CAVD A/B. Six patients achieved remission based upon cyclophosphamide+cytarabine+6-mercaptopurine (CAT), etoposide+vincristine+doxorubicin+cyclophosphamide+cyclophosphamide+ prednisone (EPOCH), high-dose methotrexate+dexamethasone and vincristine+pirubicin+ cyclophosphamide+ pemasase+prednisone (VDCLP). The transplantation group underwent HSCT after multi-drug combination intensive induction therapy. Efficacy and survival were analyzed by observing the rates of overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) .Result:There were 64 males and 18 females with a median age of 23 (11~74) year. Among them, 62 cases (75.61%) had clinical stage Ⅲ~Ⅳ. And 43 cases (53.44%) had systemic symptoms (B symptom) of fever, night sweats and weight loss at an onset of disease. Fifty cases (61.00%) had an involvement of bone marrow and 33 cases (80.5%) belonged to Ann Arbor stage Ⅲ and above. There were 65 cases (79.27%) with Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) score ≤2 and 17 cases (20.73%) with ECOG score >2. International Prognostic Index (IPI) was ≤3 (63 cases, 76.83%) and >3 (19 cases, 23.17%). Follow-up period was 27.5 (5~118) month. And 3-year OS and PFS were 53.64% (95% CI: 42.35%~64.62%) and 47.56% (95% CI: 36.53%~58.82%). Significant inter-group difference existed in 3-year OS[42.86% (95% CI: 29.12%~57.71%) vs 69.70% (95% CI: 51.13%~83.79%), P=0.014]and 3-year PFS was 38.76% (95% CI: 25.54%~53.76%) and 60.61% (95% CI: 42.24%~76.57%). And the difference was statistically significant ( P=0.032) . Conclusion:As a consolidation therapy, HSCT may improve the long-term outcomes of T-LBL patients as compared with chemotherapy alone.

Chinese Journal of Burns 2024;40(9):828-834
Objective:To investigate the strategy of using tissue flaps for repairing scalp defects with exposed skull wounds. Methods:This study was a retrospective observational study. From January 2019 to December 2023, 18 patients (13 males and 5 females, aged 17-59 years) with different scalp defect combined with skull exposure area (hereafter referred to as scalp defect area) who met the inclusion criteria were admitted to Guangzhou Red Cross Hospital of Jinan University. After debridement, the scalp defect area was 1 cm×1 cm to 25 cm×25 cm. For patients with scalp defect area < 9 cm 2 and good local conditions of the surrounding scalp, local flaps with area of 2 cm×2 cm-5 cm×5 cm were used for wound repair. The wound in the donor site of the flap was pulled together and sutured. If the suture tension was large, the skin graft from the head was taken and transplanted for wound repair. For patients with scalp defect area > 9 cm 2 and ≤1/4 of the total scalp area, expanded flaps with area of 5 cm×3 cm-12 cm×12 cm were used for wound repair. The wound in the donor site of the flap was pulled together and sutured directly. For patients with scalp defect area >1/4 and ≤1/2 of the total scalp area, free transplantation of anterolateral thigh flaps with area of 9 cm×7 cm-29 cm×14 cm were used for wound repair. The wound in the donor site of the flap was sutured in layers, and the skin graft from the ipsilateral thigh was transplanted for repair if the tension was large. For patients with scalp defect area >1/2 of the total scalp area, free greater omental flap (28 cm×23 cm-29 cm×26 cm in area) transplantation and thigh skin graft were used for wound repair. The abdominal incision caused by cutting the greater omental flap was sutured directly. The types of tissue flaps were recorded during operation. After operation, the survival of tissue flaps and skin graft in the recipient sites was observed, and the wound healing of flap donor sites/abdominal incision caused by cutting the greater omental flap was observed. During follow up, the survival of tissue flaps and the scar hyperplasia of flap donor site/abdominal incision caused by cutting the greater omental flap were observed. At the last follow-up, the skull necrosis was evaluated by computed tomography scan. Results:For the scalp defect with exposed skull wounds in this group of cases, 4 cases were repaired with local flaps, of which 2 cases were repaired with V-Y advancement flaps, and 2 cases were repaired with local double-pedicle vault stone flaps. The flaps survived completely after operation. Five cases were repaired with expanded flaps, of which 1 patient was implanted with 2 skin and soft tissue expanders, and 4 patients were implanted with 1 skin and soft tissue expander. The expanded flaps survived completely after operation. Seven cases were repaired with free transplantation of anterolateral thigh flaps. After operation, the flap in 6 cases survived, and the distal end of the flap was necrotic in 1 case, and the wound healed well after debridement and suture. Two cases were repaired with free transplantation of greater omental flaps and thigh skin graft, and the greater omental flap and skin graft in the recipient site survived well after operation. After operation, the wound of flap donor site/abdominal incision caused by cutting the greater omental flap healed well. During follow-up, all tissue flaps survived well without skull exposure; the scar hyperplasia of flap donor site/abdominal incision caused by cutting the greater omental flap was not obvious. At the last follow-up, computed tomography scan showed that all patients had no skull necrosis. Conclusions:According to the size of scalp defect, local flap, expanded flap, free anterolateral thigh flap, and free greater omental flap+skin graft are selected successively from small to large to repair the wounds, and the effect is good, which is worthy of clinical promotion.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 2024;40(11):961-973
The incidence of osteoporotic thoracolumbar vertebral fracture (OTLVF) in the elderly is gradually increasing. The kyphotic deformity caused by various factors has become an important characteristic of OTLVF and has received increasing attention. Its clinical manifestations include pain, delayed nerve damage, sagittal imbalance, etc. Currently, the definition and diagnosis of OTLVF with kyphotic deformity in the elderly are still unclear. Although there are many treatment options, they are controversial. Existing guidelines or consensuses pay little attention to this type of fracture with kyphotic deformity. To this end, the Lumbar Education Working Group of the Spine Branch of the Chinese Medicine Education Association and Editorial Committee of Chinese Journal of Trauma organized the experts in the relevant fields to jointly develop Clinical guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporotic thoracolumbar vertebral fractures with kyphotic deformity in the elderly ( version 2024), based on evidence-based medical advancements and the principles of scientificity, practicality, and advanced nature, which provided 18 recommendations to standardize the clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2024;45(3):313-316
Objective:
To explore of executive function in obese adolescents, so as to provide a reference for executive function enhancement intervention in obese adolescents.
Methods:
A convenience sample of 1 227 adolescents aged 13-18 years was selected from 2 secondary schools in Taiyuan City during March-April 2023. The Flanker task, N-back task and More odd shifting task was used to compare the different subfunctions of executive function (refreshing function, shifting function, inhibiting function) of 61 obese adolescents and 70 normal weight adolescents. Independent samples t-tests was used for between group comparisons and Cohen s d -tests was used to calculate between group differences in executive function between the two groups of adolescents.
Results:
Compared with the group of normal weight, time responses of the inhibitory function [(29.73±19.55)ms], the refreshing function [1-back: (1 088.75±275.76)ms, 2-back:( 1 285.44± 355.16)ms] and the shifting function [(380.34±153.18) ms] in the obese group were significantly longer than those in the normal weight group [(14.86±20.27, 888.38±286.57, 1 126.20± 287.43 , 323.12±134.71) ms] ( t =4.26, 4.06, 1.92,2.26, P < 0.05 ); inhibitory function (0.91±0.09) and 1-back (0.73±0.24) were also significantly less correct than in the normal weight group (0.94±0.05, 0.83±0.21) ( t =-2.04, -2.04, P <0.05). Obese adolescents showed moderate adverse effect sizes in the inhibition function ( d =0.746,0.712) and the refresh function 1-back, and smaller adverse effect sizes in the refresh function 2-back and the conversion function( d =0.497,0.398).
Conclusion
Obese adolescents have significant executive function deficits, but the degree of adverse varies across sub-functions, with inhibitory function being the core deficit component of executive function in obese adolescents.
10.Relationship between cardiorespiratory fitness and executive function in adolescents
Chinese Journal of School Health 2024;45(3):317-321
Objective:
To explore the relationship between cardiorespiratory fitness and executive function in Chinese adolescents, so as to provide a reference for promoting the overall development of Chinese adolescents physical and mental health.
Methods:
From September to December 2022, a total of 5 018 adolescents aged 13 to 18 years from Shanghai, Suzhou, Taiyuan, Wuyuan, Xingyi, and Urumqi were selected by stratified cluster sampling method to assess cardiorespiratory fitness and executive function. Pearson s correlation and linear hierarchical regression were performed to analyze the relationship between cardiorespiratory fitness and executive functions.
Results:
Among the sample of adolescents, maximal oxygen consumption (VO 2max ) was negatively correlated with the refreshing(1-back, 2-back) and conversion executive function responses ( r=-0.07, -0.12, -0.12, P <0.01). Linear regression analysis showed that VO 2max was negatively correlated with the reaction times of the refreshing(1-back, 2-back) and conversion functions ( B=-2.99, -6.44, -1.69, P <0.01).
Conclusions
Higher cardiorespiratory fitness among adolescents is associated with better performance in executive function. Teenagers should strengthen high intensity cardiopulmonary endurance exercise to promote the improvement of executive function.
