OBJECTIVE To investigate the clinical effectiveness of triptorelin combined with Biejiajian pill in the treatment of adenomyosis （AM）. METHODS Totally 186 patients with AM admitted to Nanyang First People’s Hospital from January 2022 to October 2024 were selected as subjects and randomized into control group （n＝93） and observation group （n＝93） using the random number table method. Patients in the control group received subcutaneous injections of triptorelin acetate around the umbilicus. In addition to the treatment of control group， patients in the observation group orally administered Biejiajian pill. Both groups underwent treatment for 12 weeks and were followed up for 6 months post-treatment. The clinical efficacy， recurrence and the occurrence of adverse drug reactions were compared between the two groups. Traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） symptoms， endometrial receptivity indicators （endometrial thickness， uterine volume， endometrial resistance index and vascular index）， laboratory indexes （serum luteinizing hormone， follicle stimulating hormone， estradiol， carbohydrate antigen 125， insulin-like growth factor-1， and matrix metalloproteinase 9） were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. RESULTS A total of 164 patients completed the treatment and follow-up， among whom 80 cases were in control group and 84 cases in the observation group. The overall effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group， while the incidence of low estrogen levels and recurrence rate were significantly lower in the observation group compared to the control group （P＜0.05）. There were no statistically significant differences in the incidence of nausea or abnormal liver and kidney function between the two groups （P＞0.05）. After treatment， the pain Visual Analogue Scale scores， Pictorial Blood Loss Assessment Chart， TCM symptoms scores， endometrial thickness， uterine volume， endometrial resistance index， and laboratory indicators in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment within the same group （P＜0.05）. Moreover， these values were significantly lower in the observation group compared to the control group （except for follicle stimulating hormone） （P＜0.05）. The endometrial vascular index of the two groups was significantly higher than that in the same group before treatment， and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group （P＜0.05）. CONCLUSIONS Triptorelin combined with Biejiajian pill has a definite therapeutic effect on AM， which can effectively improve the degree of dysmenorrhea and menstrual flow， improve endometrial receptivity， lower the recurrence rate in patients， and demonstrate good safety.

Objective To analyze the effect of Callicarpa nudiflora on wound healing and phos-phatidylinositol-3-kinase/protein kinase B/mammalian target of rapamycin(PI3K/AKT/mTOR)path-way by regulating M2 macrophage polarization in rats with diabetic foot ulcer.Methods A total of 40 rats were selected,with 10 rats in control group(topical application of saline),and the remaining 30 were used to establish rat model of diabetic foot ulcer.Ultimately,27 rats were successfully mod-eled and divided into model group(topical application of saline),Callicarpa nudiflora group(topi-cal application of Callicarpa nudiflora),and Callicarpa nudiflora combined with inhibitor group(topical application of Callicarpa nudiflora combined with CD206 inhibitor,a marker protein of M2 macrophages),with 9 rats in each group.The wound healing rate,levels of basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),relative expression levels of induc-ible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS),CD16/32,CD206,PI3K,AKT and mTOR as well as mRNA ex-pression levels of PI3K,AKT and mTOR were compared among groups.Results On the 3rd,7th and 14th days after intervention,compared with the control group,the wound healing rate,VEGF,bFGF,relative expression level of CD206,relative expression of PI3K,AKT and mTOR at mRNA and protein levels were significantly decreased while the relative expression levels of iNOS and CD16/32 were significantly increased in all other groups(P＜0.05);compared with the model group,the Callicarpa nudiflora group and the Callicarpa nudiflora combined with inhibitor group showed significant increased wound healing rate,VEGF,bFGF,relative expression level of CD206,and relative expression of PI3K,AKT and mTOR at mRNA and protein levels,and significant de-creased relative expression levels of iNOS and CD16/32(P＜0.05);compared with the Callicarpa nudiflora group,the Callicarpa nudiflora combined with inhibitor group showed significant decreased wound healing rate,VEGF,bFGF,relative expression level of CD206,and relative expression of PI3K,AKT and mTOR at mRNA and protein levels,and significant increased relative expression levels of iNOS and CD16/32(P＜0.05).Conclusion Callicarpa nudiflora can promote M2 mac-rophage polarization,increase wound healing rate and levels of VEGF and bFGF in rats with diabetic foot ulcer,and activate the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway.

Attempts have been made to modulate motor sequence learning (MSL) through repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, targeting different sites within the sensorimotor network. However, the target with the optimum modulatory effect on neural plasticity associated with MSL remains unclarified. This study was therefore designed to compare the role of the left primary motor cortex and the left supplementary motor area proper (SMAp) in modulating MSL across different complexity levels and for both hands, as well as the associated neuroplasticity by applying intermittent theta burst stimulation together with the electroencephalogram and concurrent transcranial magnetic stimulation. Our data demonstrated the role of SMAp stimulation in modulating neural communication to support MSL, which is achieved by facilitating regional activation and orchestrating neural coupling across distributed brain regions, particularly in interhemispheric connections. These findings may have important clinical implications, particularly for motor rehabilitation in populations such as post-stroke patients.

OBJECTIVE To observe the clinical efficacy， safety and recurrence of Kuntai capsules combined with Estradiol tablets/Estradiol dydrogesterone tablets in the treatment of diminished ovarian reserve （DOR） as well as their effects on ovarian reserve function， sex hormones， and lymphocyte subsets. METHODS A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 165 DOR patients in Nanyang First People’s Hospital. Among them， 80 patients who received Estradiol tablets/Estradiol dydrogesterone tablets （take one tablet per day according to the medication sequence on the instruction） were included in the control group， while 85 patients who additionally took Kuntai capsules （2.0 g per dose， three times daily） were included in the observation group. The treatment duration for both groups was three months. Clinical efficacy， the incidence of adverse drug reaction （ADR）， recurrence rate， and changes in Traditional Chinese Medicine （TCM） syndrome scores， ovarian reserve function indicators [anti-Müllerian hormone （AMH）， inhibin B （INHB）， antral follicle count （AFC）， endometrial thickness， and ovarian volume]， sex hormones [follicle-stimulating hormone （FSH）， luteinizing hormone （LH）， and estradiol （E2）]， and T lymphocyte subsets （CD3 +， CD4 +， CD8 +， and CD4 +/CD8 +） were compared before and after treatment. RESULTS The cure and significant improvement rate in the observation group was significantly higher than in the control group （82.35% vs. 65.00%， P＜0.05）. Compared to baseline levels， both groups showed significant reductions in TCM syndrome scores， FSH， LH， CD3+ and CD8+ levels after treatment， while AMH， INHB， E2， CD4 +， CD4 +/CD8 +， AFC， endometrial thickness， and ovarian volume significantly increased （P＜0.05）. The degree of improvement in these indicators was significantly greater in the observation group than in the control group （P＜0.05）. There was no significant difference in the total incidence of ADR between the two groups（P＞ 0.05）. However， the recurrence rate within six months post-treatment was significantly lower in the observation group compared to the control group （5.88% vs. 21.25%， P＜0.05）. CONCLUSIONS Kuntai capsules combined with Estradiol tablets/ Estradiol dydrogesterone tablets have a significant therapeutic effect on DOR， which can improve ovarian reserve function of the patient， regulate sex hormone levels and T lymphocyte subsets， and reduce recurrence rates， with a high safety profile.

METHODS: A novel electrospinning setup was developed that utilizes an auxiliary electrode and a spring. The impact of process parameters on fiber size and morphology was investigated. The structure and functions of the scaffolds were evaluated through material characterization and assessments of cellular biocompatibility. RESULTS: The new setup enabled controlled deposition of fibers in different designed orientations. The fabricated small-diameter vascular scaffolds consisted of an inner layer of longitudinally oriented fibers and an outer layer of circumferentially oriented fibers (L + C vascular scaffold). Key parameters, including rotational speed, the utilization of the auxiliary electrode, and top-to-collector distance (TCD) significantly influenced fiber orientation. Additionally, voltage, TCD, feed rate, needle size, auxiliary electrode and collector-auxiliary electrode distance affected fiber diameter and distribution. Mechanical advantages and improved surface wettability of L + C vascular scaffold were confirmed through tensile testing and water contact angle. Cellular experiments indicated that L + C vascular scaffold facilitated cell adhesion and proliferation, with human umbilical vein endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells attaching and elongating along the fiber direction of the inner and outer layer, respectively. CONCLUSION This study demonstrated the feasibility of fabricating fiber-aligned, thick-walled vascular scaffolds using a modified electrospinning setup. The findings provided insights into how the auxiliary electrode, specific collector influenced fiber deposition, potentially advancing biomimetic vascular scaffold engineering.

Objective : To evaluate the coverage and spatial clustering of 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine(PCV13) among the 2017—2023 birth cohorts in Anhui Province. Methods : Obtained vaccination data of PCV13 for children born in 2017—2023 from the Anhui Immunization Information Management System.We estimated coverage levels and described characteristics of coverage.The spatial autocorrelation analysis of coverage was conducted. Results : Cumulative coverage,cumulative primary immunization coverage and cumulative full-series coverage of PCV13 were 17.19%,12.12% and 9.09% among the 2017—2023 birth cohort in Anhui Province.The coverage of PCV13 increased from 1.14% in the 2017 birth cohort to 41.59% in the 2022 birth cohort.The first dose of PCV13 at ages under 3,3—6,7—11,12—23 and not less than 24 months were 45.35%,29.84%,5.52%,10.75% and 8.53%,respectively.There were significant differences in the ages of the first dose between children of different years of born and kinds of PCV13(P<0.001).Significant differences were also observed in the cumulative coverage,cumulative primary immunization coverage,cumulative full-series coverage of PCV13 and ages of the first dose among children from various residence regions(P<0.001).From 2018 to 2023 birth cohort,the coverage of PCV13 in Anhui Province showed obvious positive spatial autocorrelation.Local spatial autocorrelation analysis showed that the "high-high" agglomeration areas were concentrated in the central area of Anhui. Conclusion The coverage of PCV13 was low in Anhui Province with significant regional differences.
