With the aging of the global population， osteoporosis （OP） is becoming a major public health concern worldwide. Currently， the commonly used anti-osteoporosis drugs in clinical practice have limited application due to many side effects. Therefore， developing more effective and safer strategies for the prevention and treatment of OP has become a research focus in this field. In recent years， the clinical efficacy and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） in treating OP have been gradually recognized. With the deepening pharmacological research on TCM for OP prevention and treatment， it is found that the active ingredients of Scutellaria baicalensis can promote bone formation or inhibit bone resorption by regulating signaling pathways， including Wnt/β-catenin， osteoprotegerin （OB）/receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand （RANKL）/RANK （OPG/RANKL/RANK）， and bone morphogenetic protein 2 （BMP-2）/Smad， mitogen-activated protein kinase （MAPK）， and mammalian target of rapamycin （mTOR）. However， existing research on active ingredients of S. baicalensis for OP treatment is scattered， making it difficult for scholars to gain a systematic understanding of its research and application. This review summarized the literature on the active ingredients of S. baicalensis in OP treatment worldwide， clarified their mechanisms of action， and explored some issues， providing references for the integration of TCM in OP prevention and treatment.

Objective To analyze the correlation between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D[25(OH)D]and inflammatory cytokines such as interferon γ(IFN-γ),C-reactive protein(CRP)and interleukin-2(IL-2)in neonatal pneumonia.Methods A total of 100 neonates admitted to First Hospital of Qinhuangdao from December 2018 to December 2020 were enrolled in this study.According to the serum 25(OH)D level,they were divided into deficiency group(≤15.0 μg/L,n=18),inadequate group(15.1-20 μg/L,n=42),and adequate group(＞20.0 μg/L,n=40).The general and clinical data such as gender,gestational age,serum 25(OH)D level,birth weight,mode of delivery and the levels of IFN-γ,CRP and IL-2 were compared among the three groups.The correlation between vitamin D deficiency and levels of IFN-γ,CRP and IL-2 was analyzed.Results There were no significant differences in gestational age,sex,birth weight,or delivery mode among the three groups(P＞0.05).Serum 25(OH)D levels in the three groups were as follows:deficiency group＜inadequate group＜adequate group,and there were significant differences in the serum 25(OH)D level between groups(P＜0.05).The levels of IFN-γ,CRP and IL-2 in the deficiency group were higher than those in the inadequate group and adequate group(P＜0.05),and the levels of IFN-γ,CRP and IL-2 in the inadequate group were higher than those in the adequate group(P＜0.05).The Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum 25(OH)D level was negatively correlated with IFN-γ,CRP and IL-2 levels in newborns(P＜0.05).Conclusion The lower the serum 25(OH)D in newborns,the more deficient the vitamin D and the higher the levels of IFN-γ,CRP and IL-2 are,indicating higher risk of pneumonia.

Objective To compare the lung injury in thoracoscopic cardiac surgery with one-lung ventilation (OLV) and thoracotomy cardiac surgery.Methods A total of 60 patients underwent thoracotomy cardiac surgery (control group) or thoracoscopic cardiac surgery with OLV (observation group) in our hospital from May 2013 to December 2015 were enrolled,30 patients in each group.Two-lung ventilation was performed with a single-lumen endotracheal tube in the control group.In observation group,left lung ventilation was performed with a double-lumen endotracheal tube.Arterial blood gas analysis parameters,levels of intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) and surfactant protein A (SP-A) were detected after the induction of anesthesia (T1),before cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB)(T2),immediately after the onset of the CPB (T3),30 min after CPB (T,) and 60 min after CPB (T5),and the respiratory index (RI) was calculated at the above time points,as well.Lung tissues were collected during operation for nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) detection and pathological analysis.Results Compared with the control group,arterial partial pressures of oxygen (PaO2) were decreased at T3,T4 and T5,and RI values were increased at T2,T3,T4 and T5 in the observation group(P＜ 0.05).After surgery,the serum levels of ICAM-1 and expression levels of NF-κB in both two groups were increased,and serum levels of SP-A in both two groups were decreased;moreover,the levels of ICAM-1 and NF-κB in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05),and the level of SP-A in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05).The lung histopathological changes showed alveolar swelling,neutrophil infiltration and interstitial exudation in the observation group,and inflammation in the observation group was more obvious than that in the control group.Conclusion Comparing with thoracotomy cardiac surgery,lung injury is more serious in thoracoscopic cardiac surgery with OLV.

Objective To analyze antimicrobial resistance of clinically isolated Burkholderia cepacia (B.cepacia),and provide evidence for clinical rational antimicrobial use.Methods B.cepacia isolated from clinical specimens between January 2013 and December 2014 were analyzed retrospectively,antimicrobial susceptibility results were statistically analyzed.Results A total of 98 isolates of B.cepacia between January 2013 and December 2014 were isolated,the main specimen was sputum(n =86,87.76 ％),the main department distribution was intensive care unit(n =46,46.94％),resistance rate of B.cepacia to ticarcillin / clavulanic acid was highest(73.47％),resistance rates to piperacillin / tazobactam and cefoperazone / sulbactam were both 16.33％,resistance rate to minocycline was the lowest(5.10％).Conclusion Infection caused by B.cepacia is high,prevention and control of healthcare-associated infection should be strengthened,early etiological examination should be performed,antimicrobial treatment should be combined with antimicrobial susceptibility results.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus moxibustion in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.Method Sixty cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia were randomly divided into two groups, 30 cases in the treatment group, 30 cases in the control group. The treatment group was intervened by Acupuncture and moxibustion, while the control group was by orally takingJingzhu Qianlie Longbitong capsules. The International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), Quality of Life score (QOL), maximal urinary flow rate (Qmax), residual urine volume (RUV) were compared before and after 3 courses of treatment. Result The total effective rate was 93.3% in the treatment group, versus 66.7% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); the IPSS score, QOL score, Qmax, and RUV were significantly changed in both groups after intervention (P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment group and the control group both show improvements in IPSS, QOL score and Qmax and reduction of RUV, which proves that acupuncture plus moxibustion can produce a content efficacy in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Objective To study the effect of coenzymes complex combined with vitamin E on liver and kidney inju-ry induced by neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. Methods One hundred and fifty full-term neonatals with hyperbilirubinemia were chosen as observation groups, who were divided into mild, moderate and severe groups according bilirubin. Forty five healthy full-term newborns in the same period, who are either healthy or with physiological jaundice, were selected as con-trol group. Serum total bilirubin, gamma-glutamyl transferase (γ-GGT) , Malondialdehyde (MDA) and Cys-C were measured within 24 hours of hospital admission.The observation groups were randomly divided into regular and combined treatment groups. Coenzymes complex combined with vitamin E were given in addition to regular method to combined group while reg-ular group only received regular methods.All above biochemical indexes were tested in the 7th day after medication admin-istration. Results Serum MDA were higher in all observation groups (mild, moderate and severe groups) than in control group (P＜0.05);but the levels ofγ-GGT and Cys-C increased in moderate and severe groups compared with control group (P＜0.05). There were positive correlations (P＜0.05) between levels of serum total bilirubin with MDA,γ-GGT and Cys-C. Positive linear correlation were found between MDA with γ-GGT and Cys-C(P＜0.01). After early intervention,γ-GGT, Cys-C and MDA declined with drop of bilirubin level. This is more prominent and faster in a in combined treatment group than regular group (P＜0.05).Conclusion In hyperbilirubinemia newborns, lipid peroxidation activated by bilirubin may lead to damages of liver and kidney. Coenzymes combined with vitamin E have protective effect to these damages.
