Chinese Journal of School Health 2026;47(4):548-552
Objective:
To explore the relationship of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy with short video addiction among college students, so as to provide reference for alleviating social anxiety, improving the level of emotion regulation and preventing short video addiction.
Methods:
From May to June 2024, 2 172 college students from a university in Guangzhou were selected by multistage random cluster sampling method. The Interaction Anxiousness Scale, Emotion Regulation Questionnaire and Short Video Addiction Scale were used as the measurement tools. The potential profile was used to analyze the potential categories of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy. The Chi square test was used to analyze the characteristics of the distribution of potential profile categories of college students with different demographic characteristics. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between social anxiety, emotion regulation strategy and short video addiction.
Results:
The potential categories of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy in college students were divided into adaptive regulation type (784 cases, 36.10 %), low anxiety-expression type (623 cases, 28.68%), inhibition-anxiety type (478 cases, 22.01%), high anxiety-disorder type (287 cases, 13.21%). There were statistically significant differences in the distribution of various potential categories of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy among cadres of different gender, family residence, class cadres or not ( χ 2=42.55, 17.86 , 39.05, all P <0.01). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that after controlling the confounding factors such as demographic variables, the potential categories of social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy of college students (low anxiety-expression type, inhibition-anxiety type, high anxiety-disorder type) were the important related factors of short video addiction ( β =0.15,0.25,0.35, all P <0.05).
Conclusions
Social anxiety and emotion regulation strategy of college students exhibit distinct categorical characteristics, and its varying latent categories are associated with short video addiction. Schools should implement targeted intervention measures for different categories of college students to promote their comprehensive mental health development.

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2025;66(1):79-88
ObjectiveTo explore the possible mechanism of Qishao Tongbi Capsule (芪芍通痹胶囊, QTC) in the treatment of intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD). MethodsSeventy-five rats were randomly divided into control group, model group, low-dose QTC group, high-dose QTC group, high-dose QTC +agonist group, with 15 rats in each group. Except for the control group, all other groups were subjected to a fibrous ring puncture to prepare an IDD model. After modeling, rats in low-dose QTC group and high-dose QTC group were given QTC at doses of 0.2 and 0.8 g/(kg·d) by gavage, respectively. Rats in high-dose QTC+ agonist group was given QTC at 0.8 g/(kg·d) and SKL2001 solution at 10 mg/(kg·d) by gavage. The control group and model group were given 10 ml/(kg·d) distilled water by gavage. All treatments were given once a day for 4 consecutive weeks. After treatment, X-ray and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were used to detect IDD degree. Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining and Safranin O-Fast Green staining were used to observe the morphological changes of the intervertebral disc tissue. Immunohistochemical staining was performed to examine the levels of proteoglycan, type Ⅱ collagen (COL Ⅱ), and matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3) in the intervertebral disc tissue. Western blotting was used to detect the extracellular matrix (ECM)-related proteins (proteoglycan, COL Ⅱ, MMP-3, MMP-9, MMP-13), aging-related proteins (P53, P21, P16), apoptosis related proteins, including B-cell lymphoma/leukemia 2 (BCL-2), BCL-2 related X protein (BAX), Cleaved Caspase-3, and Wnt/β-catenin pathway related proteins such as Wnt3a, glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β) and β-catenin in the intervertebral disc nucleus pulposus (NP) tissue. Reverse Transcription Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-qPCR) was used to assess the mRNA expression of Wnt3a, GSK-3β, and β-catenin in intervertebral disc tissue. ResultsCompared with the model group, rats in the low-dose QTC group and high-dose QTC group exhibited improved DHI, decreased Pfirmann grading, and alleviated IDD. The structural integrity of the NP and annulus fibrosus increased, and the number of the NP increased. The levels of proteoglycan, COL Ⅱ, BCL-2 and GSK-3β increased, while the levels of MMP-3, MMP-9, MMP-13, P53, P21, P16, BAX, Cleaved Caspase-3, Wnt3a and β-catenin protein decreased. The mRNA expression of Wnt3a and β-catenin mRNA decreased, while GSK-3β mRNA expression increased (P<0.05). Compared with the low-dose QTC group, the high-dose QTC group showed further improvements in DHI, decrease in Pfirrmann grading (P<0.05), and greater alleviation of IDD. The structural integrity of NP and annulus fibrosus was further enhanced, and the number of NP cells further increased. The levels of proteoglycan, COL Ⅱ, BCL-2 and GSK-3β were higher, while the levels of MMP-3, MMP-9, MMP-13, P53, P21, P16, BAX, Cleaved Caspase-3, Wnt3a and β-catenin were lower. The mRNA expression of Wnt3a and β-catenin decreased, while GSK-3β mRNA expression increased (P<0.05). Compared with the high-dose QTC group, the high-dose QTC +agonist group showed a decrease of DHI, an increase of Pfirmann grading (P<0.05), significant aggravation of IDD, reduction in structural integrity of the NP and annulus fibrosus, a decrease of NP cell count, lower levels of proteoglycan, COL Ⅱ, BCL-2 and GSK-3β, and higher levels of MMP-3, MMP-9, MMP-13, P53, P21, P16, BAX and Cleaved Caspase-3. Additionally, GSK-3β mRNA expression decreased (P<0.05). ConclusionQTC can inhibit NP cell aging, apoptosis, and ECM degradation in IDD rats, and its therapeutic effect may be mediated through the inhibition of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway.

Objective:To investigate the predictive value of thyroid hormone sensitivity indicators for adverse pregnancy outcomes in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) complicated by hypothyroidism. Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted to retrospectively analyze the clinical data of 80 pregnant women with GDM complicated by hypothyroidism who were admitted to the Department of Obstetrics, Second Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine from February 2022 to February 2024. The patients were divided into two groups: the adverse outcome group ( n = 48) and the normal outcome group ( n = 32) based on the occurrence of adverse pregnancy outcomes. Logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify the risk factors for adverse pregnancy outcomes in these women. Additionally, receiver operating characteristic curve analysis was performed to evaluate the predictive value of thyroid hormone sensitivity indicators for adverse pregnancy outcomes. Results:In the adverse outcome group, the proportion of women with a pre-pregnancy body mass index ≥ 24 kg/m2, triglyceride level, activated partial thromboplastin time, fibrinogen level, thyroid-stimulating hormone level, and thyroid-stimulating hormone index were 58.33% (28/48), (5.77 ± 0.25) mmol/L, (31.79 ± 2.68) seconds, (4.39 ± 0.37) g/L, (5.05 ± 1.07) mU/L, and (3.15 ± 0.24), respectively, which were significantly higher than those in the normal outcome group ( χ2 = 4.41, t = -3.56, -3.23, -2.61, -4.17, -9.15, all P < 0.05). Conversely, the levels of free thyroxine, free triiodothyronine, thyrotroph T4 resistance index, and thyroid feedback quantile index in the adverse outcome group were (9.32 ± 1.04) pmol/L, (3.17 ± 0.42) pmol/L, (33.09 ± 4.26), and (0.19 ± 0.07), respectively, which were all significantly lower than those in the normal outcome group ( t = 4.44, 3.51, 4.31, 2.21, all P < 0.05). Logistic regression analysis revealed that pre-pregnancy body mass index [ OR = 2.673, 95% CI(1.057,6.761)], triglyceride level [ OR = 25.623, 95% CI(3.208,204.673)], activated partial thromboplastin time [ OR = 1.365, 95% CI(1.106,1.685)], fibrinogen level [ OR = 3.111, 95% CI(1.257,7.701)], thyroid-stimulating hormone level [ OR = 2.969, 95% CI(1.613,5.465)], free thyroxine level [ OR = 0.441, 95% CI(0.280,0.695)], free triiodothyronine level [ OR = 0.172, 95% CI(0.057,0.516)], thyroid-stimulating hormone index [ OR = 6.298, 95% CI(1.099, 36.094)], thyrotroph T4 resistance index [ OR = 0.799, 95% CI(0.704,0.907)], and thyroid feedback quantile index [ OR = 0.057, 95% CI(0.168,0.478)] were all factors that influence adverse pregnancy outcomes in pregnant women with GDM complicated by hypothyroidism (all P < 0.05). The area under the curve for predicting adverse pregnancy outcomes using the combined thyroid hormone sensitivity indicators was 0.809 [95% CI (0.704, 0.915), P < 0.001], with a sensitivity of 0.896, specificity of 0.687, and a maximum Youden index of 0.583. Conclusions:The thyroid hormone sensitivity indicators have a certain predictive value for adverse pregnancy outcomes in pregnant women with GDM complicated by hypothyroidism. These indicators can provide important reference for clinical prediction and intervention of adverse pregnancy outcomes in this patient population.

Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics of patients with hepatitis B virus(HBV)-related primary hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)who were treated in a multidisciplinary team(MDT)for liver cancer,so as to provide a basis for clinical optimization of the diagnosis and treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB).Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed for 482 HBV-related HCC patients who were treated with HCC-MDT every Thursday afternoon in The First Affiliated Hospital of the Army Medical University from January 2022 to May 2024,aged 18-87(55.54±10.84)years,86.93%(419/482)males and 13.07%(63/482)females. According to the different underlying liver diseases at the time of initial medical treatment and the different prognostic outcomes at the later follow-up,the differences in clinical characteristics between groups under different conditions were compared and analyzed, and the influencing factors of HCC prognosis were understood by Logistic regression analysis. Results:At the time of MDT presentation, the differences in HBeAg status( χ2=6.311 ,P=0.043),γ-glutamyl traspeptidase(GGT)( Z=6.277, P=0.043),alkaline phosphatase(ALP)( Z=7.236 ,P=0.027),and model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)scores( Z=6.111, P=0.047)among patients with different underlying liver diseases were statistically significant. At follow-up,6.75%(11/163)of HBV-related HCC patients who presented to MDT had a family history of HCC,and their cumulative mortality rate was as high as 60.8%(205/337)at least for 1 year. Mulitivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that different underlying liver disease at the time of initial medical treatment,HBV DNA replication level,MELD score and choice of anti-cancer treatment regimen were the influencing factors for the prognosis of HCC(all P<0.05). The worse the degree of cirrhosis at the initial presentation, the higher the level of HBV DNA replication, and the higher the MELD score, the worse the prognosis for HCC. Conclusion:Advancing the diagnosis and treatment of CHB,maximizing the inhibition of HBV DNA replication, reducing the MELD score, and optimizing the anti-cancer treatment regimen can reduce the mortality rate of HBV-related HCC.

Objective:To investigate the efficacy and toxicity of blinatumomab in the first-line and second-line treatment of pediatric B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL).Methods:A multi-center retrospective cohort study was conducted to analyze clinical data from 323 pediatric B-ALL patients treated with blinatumomab across 14 hospitals in China from May 2021 to July 2023. Patients were divided into four groups based on the treatment phase and disease status when blinatumomab was used: relapsed/refractory group, post-consolidation minimal residual disease (MRD)-positive group, early MRD-positive group, and MRD-negative group. Blinatumomab for the relapsed/refractory group was considered as second-line treatment, while the other 3 groups as first-line treatment. The MRD negativity rate after treatment, the survival rates and the incidence of severe adverse events were compared across these groups. Patients who received blinatumomab for more than 7 days were included in the efficacy analysis. Survival analysis was performed using the Kaplan-Meier method, and Log-Rank test was used to compare the survival rates among groups. Results:Among the 323 patients, 191 (59.1%) were male, with the age of 6.2 (3.9, 10.5) years. There were 117 patients in the relapsed/refractory group, 62 cases in the post-consolidation MRD-positive group, 43 cases in the early MRD-positive group, and 101 cases in the MRD negative group. In the relapsed/refractory group, the complete remission rate and MRD negativity rate after one course of blinatumomab were 71.4% (35/49) and 81.5% (75/92) for the 49 children without complete remission and the 92 children with flow cytometry-positive MRD, respectively. In the post-consolidation MRD-positive group, the MRD negativity rates after one course of blinatumomab were 100.0% (27/27), 12/16 and 9/19 for patients with MRD positivity detected by flow cytometry, polymerase chain reaction and next-generation sequencing, respectively. In the early MRD-positive group, the MRD negativity rates were 96.7% (29/30) and 9/9 for flow cytometry and next-generation sequencing, respectively. The 2-year overall survival rate and event-free survival rate for the 319 children evaluable for efficacy were (90.6±1.7)% and (87.6±1.9)%, respectively, with the relapsed/refractory group showing significantly lower overall survival rates and event-free survival rate compared to the other groups ( χ2=21.40, 26.21,both P<0.001). Grade 3 or higher adverse events occurred in 128 cases (39.6%), with hematological toxicity observed in 101 cases, while cytokine release syndrome (CRS), infection, and neurotoxicity occurred in 11, 26 and 8 cases, respectively. In addition, there were statistically significant differences in the grade 3 or higher CRS among the four groups ( χ2=8.03, P<0.05). Conclusion:Blinatumomab can clear MRD more effectively and achieve superior survival outcomes when used as first-line treatment for pediatric B-ALL, with less CRS.
