BACKGROUND:In recent years, numerous studies have shown that autophagy and mitophagy play an important role in the regulation of bone metabolism.Under non-physiological conditions, mitophagy breaks the balance of bone metabolism and triggers metabolism disorders, which affect osteoblasts, osteoclasts, osteocytes, chondrocytes, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, etc. OBJECTIVE:To summarize the mechanism of mitophagy in regulating bone metabolic diseases and its application in clinical treatment. METHODS:PubMed,Web of Science,CNKI,WanFang and VIP databases were searched by computer using the keywords of"mitophagy, bone metabolism, osteoblasts, osteoclasts, osteocytes, chondrocytes, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells"in English and Chinese. The search time was from 2008 to 2023.According to the inclusion criteria,90 articles were finally included for review and analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Mitophagy promotes the generation of osteoblasts through SIRT1,PINK1/Parkin,FOXO3 and PI3K signaling pathways, while inhibiting osteoclast function through PINK1/Parkin and SIRT1 signaling pathways.Mitophagy leads to bone loss by increasing calcium phosphate particles and tissue protein kinase K in bone tissue.Mitophagy improves the function of chondrocytes through PINK1/Parkin,PI3K/AKT/mTOR and AMPK signaling pathways.Modulation of mitophagy shows great potential in the treatment of bone diseases, but there are still some issues to be further explored, such as different stages of drug-activated mitophagy, and the regulatory mechanisms of different signaling pathways.

Tibetan sheep, the main domestic animal raised in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau region, are a source of human plague transmission. In the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau region,Tibetan sheep are considered valuable breeding resources, because of their large body size and high adaptability to high-altitude environments. In recent years, many pastoral areas, particularly those with marmot plague sources, have improved the structure of sheep breeds through pure breeding of Tibetan sheep or hybridization with Tibetan sheep to improve breed quality. The scale of breeding of Tibetan sheep or hybrid sheep is increasing, and their participation in the spread of plague poses a severe challenge to plague prevention and control. This article provides a comprehensive review of the current status of Tibetan sheep plague and related research progress,to provide a theoretical basis for further exploration and research on plague infection and transmission in Tibetan sheep and hybrid sheep. The findings will be critical for conducting risk assessment of Ti-betan sheep plague in marmot plague source areas, enhancing monitoring and early warning capabilities, formulating and implement-ing risk control measures, and strictly preventing the occurrence and spread of human plague.

The plague is a infectious disease of natural focus. The occurrence of animal plague is a complex biological phenomenon, which is affected by many factors such as hosts, vectors, geographical landscapes, climate, human activities and so on. Its epidemiological patterns exhibit spatial and temporal characteristics. Therefore, the plague monitoring and early warning has always been the key to plague prevention and control, and remains a current research hotspot. In recent years, with the advancement of spatial epidemiology technology, it has been increasingly applied in plague prevention and control, and has made remarkable achievements in exploring the spatio-temporal relationships, influencing factors, monitoring and early warning of the plague. This article provides an overview of specific applications of spatial epidemiological methods in four areas, including spatial visualization of plague outbreaks, aggregation analysis, exploration of influencing factors, risk prediction and early warning. It aims to offer insights for the plague prevention and control personnel to better understand the suddenness and complexity of the plague from the perspective of spatial epidemiology, to uncover the epidemiological patterns of the plague, and to provide a reference for precise plague prevention and control.

Objective To investigate the status of hearing impaired children's hearing device independence skills, and to explore the ways to improve their self-use of hearing equipment. Methods This study surveyed 64 re-habilitation teachers and 411 parents of children with hearing impairment aged 0-12 years.Through face-to-face or remote telephone interview,3 good habits(A asking parents for advice before removing the HA,B putting the de-vice into a moisture-proof box after removing it,C bringing batteries to school and knowing where are them)and 3 key abilities[D wearing the device independently,E replacing the battery independently, and F independently handle foreign bodies in the ear mold(Fa)and water vapor(Fb)]was investigated. The age when mastering skills or de-veloping habits difference of hearing impaired children in different groups were compared. Results ① The ratio of ability D in the bilateral CI group and the bilateral HA group of preschool children was 30.97%and 18.57%respec-tively.Among elementary school children,85.29%and 90.70%had this ability respectively.② The ratio of ability E in the bilateral CI group, the bilateral HA group and the bimodel group were 11.50%,15.71%and 16.49%,re-spectively.Among elementary school children,64.71%,53.49%and 68.52%had this ability,respectively.③Among preschool children, there was no statistical difference in age when different equipment groups developed the three good habits and acquired ability D and E(P>0.05).④ Among primary school children, there was a statisti-cal difference in the age when different equipment groups formed habit A(P<0.05),and the age when double CI group had this ability was slightly earlier than the double HA group. There was no significant difference in other abilities among age groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The age at which hearing impaired children develop the three good habits precedes the age at which they master the key skills, which accords with the law of skill acquisition and development of ordinary children.Corresponding teaching process should be based on the age and ability of hearing-impaired children without considering the type of equipment.

Objective:To analyze the association between inflammation-related dietary patterns and the risk for cognitive impairment in older adults aged ≥65 years in longevity areas in China by using reduced rank regression (RRR) analysis. Methods:This study used cross-sectional data from the 2021 Healthy Aging and Biomarkers Cohort Study, including the information about study participants' demographic characteristics, lifestyles, daily life activities, and disease histories. Dietary intake was obtained by using a simplified food frequency questionnaire. Cognitive impairment was evaluated based on the Mini-Mental State Examination Scale combined with years of education. Fasting venous blood samples were collected to detect inflammatory markers, especially high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR). RRR analysis was used to obtain inflammation-related dietary patterns using hs-CRP and PLR as response variables. Multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the association between dietary pattern score and the risk for cognitive impairment. Restricted cubic spline was used to explore the dose response relationship, and mediation analysis was used to quantify the mediating effects of hs-CRP and PLR.Results:Two dietary patterns were identified with RRR. The primary pattern was characterized by higher intakes of flour, red meat, and dairy products, and lower intake of fresh vegetables, explaining 6.84% of the variance in food intake and 0.50% of the variance in inflammatory markers. Compared with the T1 group, the T3 group had significantly higher risk for cognitive impairment ( OR=1.242, 95% CI: 1.034-1.491). Each one standard deviation increase in the dietary pattern score was associated with an 8.7% increase in the risk for cognitive impairment ( OR=1.087, 95% CI: 1.008-1.172), with a significant linear trend (overall-model P<0.001, non-linear P=0.295). Mediation analysis indicated that hs-CRP mediated 6.2% of the association between the dietary pattern and the risk for cognitive impairment. Conclusion:The inflammation- related dietary pattern characterized by higher consumption of flour, red meat, and dairy products and lower consumption of fresh vegetables is associated with an increased risk for cognitive impairment in older adults, and hs-CRP partially mediates this association.
