Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a key continuous extracorporeal life support technology that can partially or completely replace a patient's cardiopulmonary function, thereby winning valuable time for the diagnosis and treatment of the primary disease. With the widespread application of ECMO, the need for transport has increased. However, during transfers, the standard heater unit is often large and inconvenient to carry, while alternative warming measures tend to be ineffective. This frequently leads to complications such as hypothermia or the inability to maintain body temperature, which can seriously affect the patient's prognosis. In response to this challenge, the medical and nursing staff of the critical care medicine department at Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University jointly designed an insulation device for ECMO transport pipelines. The device was successfully granted a National Utility Model Patent of China (patent number: ZL 2021 2 0653569.3). It primarily consists of key components such as a heating pad, velcro straps, a cover layer, a backing layer, an electric heating layer, and a wiring plug. Its advantages include portability, the ability to effectively wrap around and warm the ECMO circuit during transit, and a reduction in the incidence of hypothermia-related complications. Furthermore, its transparent material design allows for real-time monitoring of the ECMO system's status, making it both economical and practical.

To clarify the genetic diversity and structure of the nucleus population of F1-generation Litopenaeus vannamei, this study utilized 15 pairs of highly polymorphic microsatellite primers to analyze the simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers and genetic diversity in 15 full-sib families of L. vannamei. A total of 112 alleles (Na) and 60.453 effective alleles (Ne) were identified among the selected 15 SSR loci, with the average polymorphic information content (PIC) of 0.648. The average Ne, observed heterozygosity (Ho), and expected heterozygosity (He) in the 15 F1 families varied from 1.925 to 2.626, 0.425 to 0.783, and 0.403 to 0.572, respectively. The 15 full-sib families were primarily clustered into three categories in the phylogenetic analysis, with the genetic distance between families ranging from 0.252 to 0.574. Additionally, the genetic differentiation coefficient (Fst) among the families varied from 0.112 to 0.278, indicating substantial genetic differentiation. Overall, this study suggested that the genetic diversity of the 15 full-sib families was moderate, providing valuable genetic insights for the subsequent breeding initiatives aimed at enhancing the tolerance of L. vannamei to high levels of soybean meal.

Objective:To document the clinical efficacy of supplementing intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate with Baduanjin exercise in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (KOA).Methods:Forty patients with KOA were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, each of 20. Both groups received health education and intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate once a week for 5 consecutive weeks. The observation group additionally underwent Baduanjin exercise 3 times a week for the 5 weeks. Before and after the treatment, knee joint function, pain and surface integrated electromyography (iEMG) values of the affected quadriceps were assessed using the Western Ontario and McMaster University (WOMAC) Osteoarthritis Index Scale, and a visual analogue scale (VAS).Results:After the treatment the average VAS and WOMAC scores of both groups had decreased significantly, while the average iEMG value of the quadriceps on the affected side had increased significantly. The average VAS and WOMAC scores of the observation group were significantly lower than the control group′s averages after the treatment, while the average iEMG value of the quadriceps on the affected side was significantly higher. Conclusion:Combining Baduanjin exercise with sodium hyaluronate joint injection in the treatment of KOA has a synergistic effect which can better relieve knee pain, improve knee functioning, and delay the progression of KOA. The combined treatment is worthy of clinical promotion and application.

Objective To investigate anxiety of clinicians in tertiary hospitals, and discuss the fac-tors that influence clinicians'anxiety in order to provide reference for further effective intervention measures. Methods 427 clinicians from various departments in tertiary hospitals selected by cluster sampling method were investigate by self-rating anxiety scale ( SAS) .Statistical software SPSS 17.0 was used to analyze data for multivariate logistic regression analysis of its relevant influencing factors. Results 38.2%of the clini-cians had anxiety symptoms (55.0%was mild anxiety,26.1%was moderate anxiety,18.9%was severe anxi-ety) .Factors like education (χ2=7.3, P=0.03) ,job title (χ2=53.24, P<0.01) ,divisions (χ2=46.46, P<0.01) ,work experience (χ2=9.78, P=0.04) ,work overtime (χ2=4.29, P=0.03) ,worry of medical mal-practice (χ2=9.54, P<0.01),doctor-patient relationship tension (χ2=7.50, P<0.01),fear for personal safety (χ2=10.27, P<0.01) ,job promotion competition (χ2=11.40, P<0.01) ,labor and payment situation (χ2=6.36, P=0.01) ,colleagues'understanding and support (χ2=15.77, P=0.01) ,work environment (χ2=21.85, P<0.01) and leaders'attention (χ2=7.17, P=0.01) had significant differences between anxiety and non-anxiety clinicians.Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that factors like divisions ( com-pared with internal medicine,OB&GYNβ=0.98,surgeryβ=0.95,pediatricsβ=0.86,emergencyβ=0.69) , work overtime (β=0.18),fear for personal safety (β=0.86),fear of medical malpractice (β=0.79) and doctor-patient relationship tension (β=0.28) had a negative impact on anxiety, while factors like education ( compared with bachelors,mastersβ=-1.38,doctorsβ=-1.65) ,job title ( compared with primary,intermedi-ateβ=-0.33,highβ=-0.45,advancedβ=-0.59) ,work experience (β=-0.18 ) and work environment (β=-0.32) were protective factors. Conclusion There is a certain degree of anxiety among clinicians in tertiary hospitals, resulting in a heavy psychological burden on them.Active measures should be taken to improve the clinicians'psychological health.
