Objective Based on the visualization graph analysis of the research hotspots of Angelica sinensis, predict the future research trends, and provide references for the next step of Angelica sinensis research. Methods Chinese and English literatures on Angelica sinensis collected from CNKI, WanFang, VIP and Web of Science from 2012 to 2022 were retrieved. CiteSpace 6.1.R6 software was used to perform visualization econometrics analysis on the number of publications, authors, institutions, journals, keywords and other topics. Results 3490 Chinese literatures and 409 English literatures were included. Visual knowledge map analysis showed that Gansu University of Chinese Medicine and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine were the research institutions with the largest number of literature publications in Chinese and English respectively. Journals published mainly include Shizhen Traditional Chinese Medicine and Materia medica, Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Current research hotspots include the effects of Angelica sinensis polysaccharides, volatile oils, and ferulic acid on the hematopoietic system, chronic diseases, and cognitive impairment, as well as clinical efficacy evaluations of classic prescriptions containing Angelica sinensis and their modified formulations. The research trend was characterized by a focus on the pharmacological study of Danggui Buxue Tang,employing various experimental approaches such as network pharmacology, serum pharmacology, and metabolomics to elucidate the mechanisms of Angelica sinensis. Conclusion The pharmacological effects of Angelica sinensis and its compound were extensive, which should be further researched.

Patients with Takayasu arteritis combined with aortic valve disease often have a poor prognosis following surgical valve replacement, frequently encountering complications such as perivalvular leakage, valve detachment, and anastomotic aneurysm. This article presents a high-risk case wherein severe aortic valve insufficiency associated with Takayasu arteritis was successfully managed through transcatheter aortic valve implantation via the transapical approach. The patient had satisfactory valve function with no complications observed during the six-month postoperative follow-up. This case provides a minimally invasive and feasible alternative for the clinical management of such high-risk patients.

AIM: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of compound anisodine combined with laser photocoagulation in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy(DR).METHODS: A prospective cohort study was used to select 80 patients(160 eyes)diagnosed with severe non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR)and proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR)in Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital MedTcal University and Beijing Daxing District People's Hospital from May 2023 to July 2023. They were divided into control group(40 cases, 80 eyes)and observation group(40 cases, 80 eyes)by random number table method. The control group only received 532 nm laser panretinal photocoagulation(PRP)treatment, while the observation group received PRP treatment together with superficial temporal subcutaneous injection of compound anisodine. The clinical efficacy, changes in hemorheology, changes in retinal blood vessels, and incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were observed before and at 2 mo after treatment.RESULTS: The visual acuity, fundus changes and hemorheological parameters of the two groups were analyzed before and after treatment. There were no significant differences in the two groups before treatment(all P>0.05). The best corrected visual acuity of the observation group was better than that of the control group at 2 mo after treatment(P<0.05), and the clinical curative effect of fundus was also better than that of the control group(all P<0.05). The hemorheological indexes of central retinal artery blood flow(peak systolic velocity and end diastolic velocity)in the observation group were higher than those of the control group(all P<0.05), and the blood flow resistance index was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION: Compound anisodine combined with 532 nm laser photocoagulation is safe and effective in the treatment of DR, and the visual recovery effect is better.

Objective: o analyze the epidemic characteristics of five sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including syphilis, gonorrhea, condyloma acuminatum, genital herpes and genital Chlamydia trachomatis infection in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province from 2019 to 2023, so as to provide the reference for the prevention and control strategies of STDs. Methods: Data of the onset time and diagnostic types of STDs cases in Yangzhou City from 2019 to 2023 were collected from the Infectious Disease Surveillance System of Chinese Disease Prevention and Control Information System. The temporal, regional and population characteristics of five types of STDs was analyzed using the descriptive epidemiological method. Results: A total of 10 895 cases of STDs were reported in Yangzhou City from 2019 to 2023, with an average annual reported incidence rate of 47.83/105. The average annual reported incidence rates of syphilis, gonorrhea, condyloma acuminatum, genital herpes and genital Chlamydia trachomatis infections were 41.11/105, 2.83/105, 2.59/105, 0.43/105 and 0.85/105, respectively. The reported incidence rate of STDs showed a decreasing trend from 2019 to 2023 (P<0.05), with an average annual growth rate of -3.44%. The reported incidence rates of syphilis and gonorrhea showed a decreasing trend (both P<0.05), with average annual growth rates of -4.26% and -6.47%, respectively. The reported incidence rate of genital Chlamydia trachomatis infection showed an increasing trend (P<0.05), with an average annual growth rate of 22.32%. Baoying County, Guangling District and Hanjiang District had the top three reported incidence rates of STDs, at 56.61/105, 55.61/105 and 46.50/105, respectively. The average annual reported incidence rate of STDs among males was higher than that among females (53.19/105 vs. 42.54/105, P<0.05). The STD cases were primarily people aged 50 years and above, with 6 641 cases accounting for 60.95%. The occupations of STD cases were mainly farmers, housekeepers and unemployed, with 4 670 and 3 273 cases accounting for 42.86% and 30.04%, respectively. Conclusions The overall reported incidence of STDs in Yangzhou City from 2019 to 2023 showed a downward trend, while the reported incidence of genital Chlamydia trachomatis infection showed an upward trend. The individuals aged 50 years and above, farmers, housekeepers and the unemployed were identified as high-risk groups for STDs.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of Dihuang Yinzi on the cognitive function in the mouse model of learning and memory impairments induced by scopolamine （SCOP） and explore the treatment mechanism. MethodsA mouse model of learning and memory impairment was induced by intraperitoneal injection of SCOP. Sixty male C57BL/6J mice were randomized into six groups： control （0.9% NaCl， n=10）， model （SCOP 1 mg·kg^-1·d^-1， n=10）， low-， medium-， and high-dose Dihuang Yinzi （SCOP 1 mg·kg^-1·d^-1 + Dihuang Yinzi 5.5， 11.0， and 22.0 g·kg^-1·d^-1， n=10）， and donepezil （SCOP 1 mg·kg^-1·d^-1 + donepezil 0.84 mg·kg^-1·d^-1， n=10）. Mice were administrated with corresponding drugs for 6 weeks. Modeling started in the 4th week， and mice in other groups except the control group were injected with SCOP intraperitoneally 40 min after daily gavage. Behavioral testing began in the 5th week， 30 min after modeling each day. The Morris water maze and novel object recognition tests were carried out to evaluate the spatial learning and memory function of mice. Nissl staining was employed to observe the survival of neurons and Nissl bodies in the hippocampal CA1 region. Western blot was employed to determine the protein levels of silent information regulator 2 （SIRT2）， α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazole propionic acid （AMPA） receptor 1 （GluA1）， protein kinase A （PKA）， cAMP response element-binding protein （CREB）， phosphorylated-CREB （p-CREB）， postsynaptic density protein 95 （PSD95）， growth-associated protein-43 （GAP-43）， and synaptophysin （SYN） in the hippocampus. Immunofluorescence was used to detect the expression of doublecortin （DCX） in the hippocampal dentate gyrus （DG） region. ResultsCompared with the control group， the model group showed impaired learning and memory （P<0.01）， obvious neuronal damage in the hippocampal CA1 region， a reduction in neuron survival （P<0.01）， a decrease in DCX expression in the hippocampal DG region （P<0.01）， down-regulated proteins levels of GluA1， PKA， p-CREB/CREB， PSD95， SYN， and GAP-43 in the hippocampal tissue （P<0.05， P<0.01）， and an up-regulated protein level of SIRT2 （P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， the medium- and high-dose Dihuang Yinzi groups and the donepezil group showed improvements in learning and memory （P<0.05， P<0.01）， while the low-， medium-， and high-dose Dihuang Yinzi groups and the donepezil group had increased neuron survival （P<0.05， P<0.01）. The medium-dose Dihuang Yinzi group and the donepezil group showed increased DCX expression （P<0.05， P<0.01）. The medium- and high-dose Dihuang Yinzi groups and the donepezil group showed up-regulation in the protein levels of GluA1， PKA， p-CREB/CREB， PSD95， SYN， and GAP-43 （P<0.05， P<0.01） and down-regulation in the protein level of SIRT2 （P<0.01）. ConclusionDihuang Yinzi can improve the cognitive function in the mouse model of learning and memory impairments induced by SCOP by inhibiting the upregulation of SIRT2， activating the PKA/CREB signaling pathway， improving synaptic plasticity， and reducing hippocampal neuronal damage.

ObjectiveTo investigate the suppressive effect of 23-hydroxybetulinic acid （23-HBA）， a key constituent of Pulsatillae Radix， on the pulmonary inflammation-related carcinogenesis induced by the combined exposure of 4-（methylnitrosamino）-1-（3-pyridyl）-1-butanone （NNK） and lipopolysaccharide （LPS） in mice， alongside exploring its influence on immune cells and delving into the underlying mechanisms. MethodsA murine model of pulmonary inflammation-related carcinogenesis induced by NNK combined with LPS was established. Mice were randomly assigned into blank control， model， aspirin （10 mg·kg^-1）， and low-， medium-， and high-dose （3.75， 7.5， 15 mg·kg^-1， respectively） 23-HBA groups. The treatment lasted for 26 weeks， after which the spleen， lung， and peripheral blood samples were collected. Lung and spleen indices were calculated. Histopathological changes in the lung tissue were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining. Immunohistochemistry was employed to assess the expression levels of thyroid transcription factor-1 （TTF-1）， neuron-specific enolase （NSE）， and proliferating cell nuclear antigen （Ki-67） in the lung tissue. High-throughput protein microarray was employed to measure the levels of interleukin-1β （IL-1β）， interleukin-6 （IL-6）， and tumor necrosis factor-α （TNF-α） in the mouse serum. Flow cytometry was employed to evaluate the expression of macrophages， myeloid-derived suppressor cells （MDSCs）， and exhausted T lymphocytes in the lung and spleen tissue. Molecular docking was performed to predict the binding affinity of 23-HBA to Janus kinase 2 （JAK2）， Src homology 2 domain-containing phosphatase 2 （SHP2）， and suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 （SOCS3）. Western blot was performed to assess the protein levels of phosphorylated-signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 （p-STAT3）， p53， and SHP2 in the M1-activated macrophages and A549 lung adenocarcinoma cells treated with 23-HBA. ResultsCompared with the normal group， the lung and spleen indexes of the model group were increased to varying degrees （P<0.05， P<0.01）， the expression of TTF-1， NSE and Ki-67 protein was significantly increased （P<0.05， P<0.01）， and the serum levels of TNF-α， IL-1β and IL-6 were significantly increased （P<0.01）. The number of macrophages in the model group was significantly decreased （P<0.01）， and the number of exhausted T cells and MDSCs was significantly increased （P<0.05， P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， the spleen and thymus index of mice in each dose group of 23-HBA decreased significantly （P<0.05）， and the lung index of mice in the middle dose group of 23-HBA decreased significantly （P<0.05）. The high and middle dose groups of 23-HBA could improve the occurrence of inflammatory infiltration and malignant lesions in the lungs of mice induced by NNK combined with LPS in the model group. The expression of TTF-1 in the middle and high dose groups of 23-HBA was significantly lower than that in the model group （P<0.05， P<0.01）. The expression of NSE and Ki-67 protein in each dose group of 23-HBA was significantly lower than that in the model group （P<0.05， P<0.01）. The contents of IL-1β in the low and high dose groups of 23-HBA were significantly decreased （P<0.05）， and the contents of IL-6 and TNF-α in each dose of 23-HBA were significantly decreased （P<0.05， P<0.01）. The number of macrophages in the lung of the middle dose group of 23-HBA was significantly increased （P<0.05）， and the number of exhausted T cells and MDSCs expressing PD-1 in the lung was significantly decreased （P<0.05， P<0.01）. In addition， 23-HBA had strong molecular docking ability to SHP2， SOCS3 and JAK2 （≥7 kcal·mol^-1）， and significantly down-regulated the protein levels of p-STAT3， SHP2 and p53 in M1 macrophages and A549 lung adenocarcinoma （P<0.01）. Conclusion23-HBA holds promise as a potential therapeutic agent for mitigating pulmonary inflammation and inhibiting malignant transformation induced by the combination of LPS and NNK. It may exert effects by regulating immune cell responses， improving the tumor immune microenvironment， and regulating key signaling pathways.

ObjectiveTo explore the potential mechanism of acupuncture with the method of soothing the liver and regulating the mind in improving depressive disorder. MethodsEighteen C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into blank group， model group， and acupuncture group， with 6 mice in each group. The model group and the acupuncture group were subjected to depression induction by intraperitoneal injection of lipopolysaccharide （LPS）， while the blank group received an equal volume of normal saline once daily for seven consecutive days. Concurrently， the acupuncture group received "soothing the liver and regulating the mind" acupuncture intervention starting from the first day of modeling， once daily for 14 days； whereas the blank group and the model group were only restrained without acupuncture. The sucrose preference test was used to assess sucrose preference rate， the open-field test to measure center stay time and total travel distance， and the forced swim test to evaluate immobility time. Hematoxylin-eosin （HE） staining was performed to observe hippocampal morphological changes. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA） was used to detect levels of interleukin-1β （IL-1β）， interleukin-6 （IL-6）， and tumor necrosis factor-α （TNF-α） in hippocampal tissue. Western blot analysis was conducted to examine the protein expression levels of Toll-like receptor 4 （TLR4） and nuclear factor-κB （NF-κB） in the hippocampus. ResultsCompared to the blank group， the model group showed a significant reduction in sucrose preference rate， center stay time， and total travel distance， along with a significant increase in immobility time in the forced swim test， hippocampal IL-1β， IL-6， and TNF-α levels， as well as TLR4 and NF-κB protein expression （P＜0.01）， and the histological examination revealed blurred hippocampal neuronal boundaries， loose arrangement， and some neurons exhibiting nuclear pyknosis and deep staining. Compared to the model group， the acupuncture group demonstrated a significant increase in sucrose preference rate， center stay time， and total travel distance， along with a significant reduction in immobility time in the forced swim test， hippocampal IL-1β， IL-6， and TNF-α levels， and TLR4 and NF-κB protein expression （P＜0.01）， and the histological analysis showed that hippocampal neurons in the acupuncture group were more tightly arranged， with reduced nuclear pyknosis and deep staining. ConclusionAcupuncture with the "soothing the liver and regulating the mind" method can significantly improve depression-like behavior， potentially by inhibiting the hippocampal TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway and alleviating inflammatory responses.

Objective To develop and validate a model to predict the risk of radiation-induced lung injury (RILI) and assess its clinical feasibility. Methods Clinical data from 125 patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) were included in the study. The patients were divided into training group (88 cases) and validation group (38 cases). Key predictive factors were identified using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses combined with least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression. A predictive model was constructed and evaluated using a nomogram, receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, calibration curve, and decision curve analysis. Results The key variables identified by the model were tumor volume (P = 0.017), Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status score (P = 0.035), 95% of the minimum dose to the target volume (P = 0.028), percentage of bilateral lung volume receiving 20 Gy of radiation (P < 0.001), and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (P = 0.021). The ROC curve showed that the areas under the curve (AUC) for the model in the training and validation groups were 0.987 and 0.992, respectively, indicating good predictive ability. The calibration curve and decision curve further confirmed the accuracy and clinical practicability of the model. Conclusion The predictive model proposed in this study can accurately assess the risk of developing RILI in patients with NSCLC who have undergone radiotherapy, demonstrating its potential value in clinical practice.

Background and Objectives: There is no dedicated occlusive device for closing coronary artery fistulas (CAFs), and specific efficacy and safety data of various off-label occlusive devices for CAFs closure are scarce. Methods: Patients undergoing transcatheter closure of CAFs from January 2011 to December 2022 were included in the single-center retrospective study. The study population was divided into 2 groups: coils group (n=35) and patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) occluders group (n=66). Results: No significant intergroup differences were observed in demographic characteristics except age. The presence of multiple CAF origins (54.3% vs. 4.5%, p<0.001) and multiple draining sites (51.4% vs. 3.0%, p<0.001) were more common in the coils group. In contrast, the presence of aneurysm (72.7% vs. 14.3%, p<0.001), and large fistula (75.8% vs. 37.1%, p<0.001) were more prevalent in the PDA occluders group. The acute procedural success rate of the PDA occluders group was higher compared to that of the coils group (87.9% vs.62.9%, adjusted odds ratio [OR], 7.20; 95% confidence interval, 1.59–32.64; p=0.01).In addition, no significant intergroup differences were noted in both the recanalization rate (7.8% vs. 20%, p=0.107) and the reintervention rate (3.1% vs. 8.6%, p=0.342). Conclusions Transcatheter closure of CAFs using PDA occluders was associated with significantly higher acute procedural success rates compared to coil embolization with comparable late outcomes.

Premature ejaculation refers to a sexual dysfunction in which men experience a short intravaginal ejaculation latency and a lack of control over ejaculation during sexual activity. The onset of this condition is often accompanied by anxiety and depression, which can seriously affect the quality of the patient′s sexual life and the relationship between partners. Based on the "integration of body and spirit" theory in traditional Chinese medicine, our team believes that this condition is a comorbidity of physical and spiritual factors. We propose that the core pathogenesis of this disease lies in the "loss of form and essence, impairment of spirit, and depression of the mind, "while the primary treatment principle involves "nourishing form and regulating spirit." As a result, a new diagnosis and treatment approach of "four-dimensional integration" is summarized in this study. The disease is treated through the four dimensions of shape, body, spirit, and emotion. Traditional Chinese medicine is used to adjust the shape in cases where the physical form is damaged. For individuals with depression of heart and liver qi, the treatment focuses on soothing the heart and smoothing liver qi, and the modified Wangyou Powder and Xuanzhi Decoction is used. In cases where the heart and kidney function are compromised, the treatment involves nourishing both the heart and kidney while restoring interaction between the heart and the kidney, and modified Jihuo Yansi Elixir is used. To reduce the sensitivity of the glans penis, the patient′s body is washed with a traditional Chinese medicine formula, and a delicate fumigation formula is decocted for external washing. For those who are not in tune with their god, psychological counseling can be used to regulate their spirit and advocate "self-partner" and psychotherapy. If there are issues with intimacy, partners should focus on cooperating during foreplay, sexual intercourse, and post-coital interactions. Overall, the treatment aims to harmonize the body and spirit, addressing both physical and psychological factors through a comprehensive, multi-dimensional approach. This method provides new perspectives and ideas for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of this condition.
