Objective To explore scientific and accurate prediction methods for the incidence of hand, foot, and mouth disease in the post-pandemic era, and to address modeling challenges caused by abnormal fluctuations in case numbers from 2020 to 2023. Methods The seasonal index was used to pre-process the data. The traditional seasonal autoregressive integrated moving average (SARIMA) model, singular spectrum analysis (SSA)-ARIMA model, ARIMA-Long short-term memory (LSTM) model, and SSA-ARIMA-LSTM model were used to fit the incidence from 2013 to 2023, and the incidence of hand, foot and mouth disease in 2024 was predicted. The real data collected in 2024 were used as the test set to compare the prediction performance of the models. Results The fitting performance of the constructed models was as follows: the ARIMA model had MAE=107.50 and RMSE=144.53, the SSA-ARIMA model showed MAE=2.84 and RMSE=4.33, the ARIMA-LSTM model achieved MAE=99.46 and RMSE=131.59, and the SSA-ARIMA-LSTM model had MAE=96.35 and RMSE=132.13. In terms of prediction performance, the ARIMA model resulted in MAE=151.64 and RMSE=146.70, the SSA-ARIMA model demonstrated MAE=41.22 and RMSE=57.01, the ARIMA-LSTM model yielded MAE=220.75 and RMSE=257.89, and the SSA-ARIMA-LSTM model recorded MAE=58.83 and RMSE=72.06. Conclusion The SSA-ARIMA model has the best fitting degree and the highest prediction accuracy, and is suitable for predicting the incidence trend of hand, foot and mouth disease.

Congenital cataract is a leading cause of childhood blindness worldwide. By inducing visual impairment from birth, it disrupts the normal development of the visual system and profoundly impacts patients' quality of life. Therefore, timely diagnosis and the implementation of effective, safe interventions, particularly during the critical period of visual development, are of paramount clinical importance. Cataract extraction is a cornerstone therapeutic intervention. The success of the surgery, as well as postoperative visual recovery and the incidence of complications in pediatric patients, largely depends on the selected surgical approach and instrumentation. Surgical approaches are primarily categorized into the anterior approach(via corneal or limbal incision)and the posterior approach(via pars plana). Surgical instruments are typically classified by the gauge of the vitreous cutter, such as 20 G, 23 G, and 25 G. The choice of surgical approach not only directly influences the incidence of postoperative complications but also significantly impacts visual recovery. This article reviews and analyzes these critical aspects to provide valuable guidance for clinical practice.

In order to further standardize the vaccination of kidney transplant candidates and recipients in China, the Branch of Organ Transplantation of Chinese Medical Association has organized experts in kidney transplantation and infectious diseases. Based on the "Vaccination of Solid Organ Transplant Candidates and Recipients: Guidelines from the American Society of Transplantation Infectious Diseases Community of Practice", and in combination with the clinical reality of infectious diseases and vaccination after organ transplantation in China, as well as referring to relevant recommendations from home and abroad in recent years, these guidelines are formulated from aspects such as epidemiology, types of vaccines, vaccination principles, target population, and specific vaccine administration. The "Guidelines for Vaccination of Kidney Transplant Candidates and Recipients in China" aims to provide theoretical reference for medical workers in the field of kidney transplantation in China, regarding the vaccination of kidney transplant candidates and recipients. It is expected to better guide the vaccination of kidney transplant candidates and recipients, reduce the risk of postoperative infection, and improve survival outcomes.

Ischemic stroke (IS) is a globally life-threatening disease. Presently, few therapeutic medicines are available for treating IS, and rt-PA is the only drug approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US. In fact, many agents showing excellent neuroprotection but no blood flow-improving activity in animals have not achieved ideal clinical efficacy, while thrombolytic drugs only improving blood flow without neuroprotection have limited their wider application. To address these challenges and meet the huge unmet clinical need, we have designed and identified a novel compound AAPB with dual effects of neuroprotection and cerebral blood flow improvement. AAPB significantly reduced cerebral infarction and neural function deficit in tMCAO rats, pMCAO rats, and IS rhesus monkeys, as well as displayed exceptional safety profiles and excellent pharmacokinetic properties in rats and dogs. AAPB has now entered phase I of clinical trials fighting IS in China.

Objective:To investigate the dosimetric characteristics of intensity modulated proton therapy (IMPT) and photon volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) in typical head and neck malignant tumors.Methods:Three types of typical head and neck tumors (nasopharyngeal carcinoma, parotid gland carcinoma, laryngeal carcinoma) treated at Shandong Cancer Hospital and Institute from December 2023 to December 2024 were taken as research subjects. IMPT and VMAT radiotherapy plans were created according to clinical prescription requirements of target and organs at risk limits respectively. The conformity index (CI), homogeneity index (HI) and gradient index (GI) for target coverage of two radiotherapy plans were evaluated for 3 patients, as well as the dosimetric indicators of organs at risk.Results:The CI of IMPT for nasopharyngeal carcinoma, parotid gland carcinoma and laryngeal carcinoma were 0.70, 0.72 and 0.67, respectively. The HI were 0.11, 0.08 and 0.08, respectively. The GI were 3.08, 2.49 and 3.75, respectively. The CI of VMAT plans were 0.77, 0.82 and 0.91, respectively. The HI were 0.12, 0.10 and 0.04, respectively. The GI were 3.67, 2.63 and 3.45, respectively. The results showed that CI of IMPT plan was slightly lower than that of VMAT plan, and HI of IMPT plan was comparable to that of VMAT plan, the GI of the IMPT plan for patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and parotid gland carcinoma was lower than that of the VMAT plan, and the GI of the IMPT plan for patient with laryngeal carcinoma was higher than that of the VMAT plan, and all were within the clinically acceptable range. The IMPT plan has demonstrated significant dose advantages in the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, parotid gland carcinoma and laryngeal carcinoma. For patient with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, the IMPT plan reduced the D max of the left and right crystals by 54.1% and 50.4%, respectively, compared to VMAT plan, and reduced the D mean of the oral and laryngeal tissues by 40.5% and 49.6%, respectively. For patient with parotid gland carcinoma, IMPT plan reduced the D max of the brainstem and spinal cord by 66.2% and 40.5%, respectively, compared to VMAT plan. For patient with laryngeal carcinoma, IMPT reduced spinal cord D max by 77.0%, while thyroid cartilage D mean increased by 8.0% compared to VMAT plan. For the additional dose in the patients' body, taking the absolute volumes occupied by the prescribed dose areas of 10%, 30%, and 50% in the patients' body as examples, IMPT plan of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patient decreased by 29.7%, 29.6%, and 34.9% compared to VMAT plan, respectively. IMPT plan of parotid gland carcinoma patient decreased by 61.0%, 39.7%, and 17.4% compared to VMAT plan, respectively. IMPT plan of laryngeal carcinoma patient decreased by 63.9%, 31.7%, and 4.1% compared to VMAT plan, respectively. Conclusions:Compared with VMAT plan, IMPT plan can effectively reduce the irradiation dose of most organs at risk near the target of head and neck tumors, but the dose of string organs close to the target area may be higher, which needs attention.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the feasibility of a dual-crosslinked injectable hydrogel derived from acellular musclar matrix (AMM) for promoting myoblasts proliferation and myogenic differentiation. METHODS: Firstly, hyaluronic acid was oxidized with NaIO ₄ and methylated to prepare methacrylamidated oxidized hyaluronic acid (MOHA). Then, AMM obtained by washing enzymatically treated muscle tissue was aminolyzed to prepare aminated AMM (AAMM). MOHA hydrogel and AAMM were crosslinked using Schiff based reaction and UV radiation to prepare a dual-crosslinked MOHA/AAMM injectable hydrogel. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) was used to characterize MOHA, AAMM, and MOHA/AAMM hydrogels. The injectability of MOHA/AAMM hydrogel were evaluated by manual injection, and the gelation performance was assessed by UV crosslinking. The rheological properties and Young's modulus of the hydrogel were examined through mechanical tests. The degradation rate of the hydrogel was assessed by immersing it in PBS. The active components of the hydrogel were verified using immunofluorescence staining and ELISA assay kits. The promotion of cell proliferation by the hydrogel was tested using live/dead staining and cell counting kit 8 (CCK-8) assays after co-culturing with C2C12 myoblasts for 9 days. The effect of the hydrogel on myogenic differentiation was evaluated by immunofluorescence staining and real time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). RESULTS: FTIR spectra confirmed the successful preparation of MOHA/AAMM hydrogel. The hydrogel exhibited good injectability and gelation ability. Compared to MOHA hydrogel, MOHA/AAMM hydrogel exhibited higher viscosity and Young's modulus, a reduced degradation rate, and contained a higher amount of collagen (including collagen type Ⅰ and collagen type Ⅲ) as well as bioactive factors (including epidermal growth factor, fibroblast growth factor 2, vascular endothelial growth factor, and insulin-like growth factor 1). The live/dead cell staining and CCK-8 assay indicated that with prolonged incubation time, there was a significant increase in viable cells and a decrease in dead cells in the C2C12 myoblasts within the MOHA/AAMM hydrogel. Compared with MOHA hydrogel, the difference was significant at each time point ( P<0.05). Immunofluorescence staining and RT-qPCR analysis demonstrated that the deposition of IGF-1 and expression levels of myogenic-related genes (including Myogenin, Troponin T, and myosin heavy chain) in the MOHA/AAMM group were significantly higher than those in the MOHA group ( P<0.05). CONCLUSION The MOHA/AAMM hydrogel prepared based on AMM can promote myoblasts proliferation and myogenic differentiation, providing a novel dual-crosslinked injectable hydrogel for muscle tissue engineering.

Abstract OBJECTIVE To analyze and summarize the research history, development status, trends and hotspots of Codonopsis Radix by bibliometrics. METHODS Search and screen the related literatures of Codonopsis Radix from the CNKI database and the Web of Science core collection database from Januar 1, 1992 to June 30, 2022. VOSviewer and CiteSpace softwares were used for visual analysis of the number of publications, authors, institutions, countries, funding funds, published journals, literature citation frequency, keywords, clustering and emergent word, and a visual graph was drew. RESULTS A total of 594 effective literature, 484 in Chinese and 110 in English were included. GAO Jianping and ZOU Yuanfeng were the scholars with the largest amount of Chinese and English literature. China was the country with the most published researches on Codonopsis Radix. The School of Pharmaceutical Science of Shanxi Medical University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences were the institutions with the largest number of Chinese and English literature publications respectively. The National Science Foundation of China was the largest fund to support the research of Codonopsis Radix. The journal that received the most Chinese and English literature were Journal of Chinese Medicinal Materials and International Journal of Biological Macromolecules respectively. The most frequently cited Chinese literature was a summary of the chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of Codonopsis Radix. The most frequently cited English literature was a study on the structure identification and pharmacological effects of Codonopsis Radix polysaccharides. The map of key words, clustering and emergent words in Chinese literature showed that the main research directions of Codonopsis Radix were compatibility formula, resource planting, pharmacological action and quality control. The map of key words, clustering and emergent words in English literature indicated that the study of Codonopsis Radix always focused on the material basis and mechanism of its active ingredients. CONCLUSION The annual publications on of Codonopsis Radix show an increasing trend, and the main research institutions are distributed in many universities and research institutes in China. Both Chinese and English literature have their own research directions, and the pharmacological effects of active ingredients are the common trend hotspots.

Objective:To explore the status and influencing factors of stigma in patients with pituitary adenoma.Methods:From January 2020 to May 2021, a total of 106 patients with pituitary adenoma in the Affiliated Huai'an No.1 People 's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University were selected using the convenience sampling method. Internalized Stigma of Mental Illness, Medical Coping Style Questionnaire and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale were used to investigate them. Binary Logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate the influencing factors of stigma in patients with pituitary adenoma. Results:Among 106 patients with pituitary adenoma, 87 (82.08%) had stigma. The stigma score of patients with pituitary adenoma was (2.58±0.61) . Binary Logistic regression analysis results showed that family monthly income, coping style and mental elasticity were the influencing factors of stigma in patients with pituitary adenoma ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Stigma is common in patients with pituitary adenoma. Medical staff should take targeted intervention measures according to the influencing factors of stigma in patients with pituitary adenoma, so as to help patients reduce stigma.

Objective:To summarize the experience of the precise prevention and control strategy of novel coronavirus infection in the pediatric intensive care unit(PICU)during the epidemic of the Omicron variant.Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed on the strategies and management experience of precise prevention and control of novel coronavirus infection in PICU at Pediatric Hospital of Fudan University from March 1 to May 10, 2022.Results:According to the national and Shanghai novel coronavirus infection prevention and control standards, the PICU in our hospital, in accordance with the specialty characteristics of PICU, cooperated with the hospital′s department of infection and medical department to jointly construct a precise ward management strategy for the outbreak of the omicron mutants infection.Precise prevention and control management strategies were formulated from four aspects: the admission process of critically ill children, the division of PICU ward areas and nosocomial infection protection, the reception management system for children′s family members, and the " bubble management" system for PICU staff, and run them for 3 months.During the epidemic, there was no nosocomial infection of novel coronavirus infection in children or medical staff.During the period, a total of 140 critically ill children were admitted, including 87 cases transferred from the general ward in the hospital, 48 cases from the emergency department(non-febrile, 3 cases transferred by the transfer team), four cases from fever clinic, and one case from control ward.Four of the critically ill children had no emergency nucleic acid test report when they were admitted to the PICU.Among the 140 critically ill children, 54 patients received mechanical ventilation, 18 patients received blood purification, and two patients were monitored after liver transplantation.Seventy-eight (55.7%) children had underlying diseases.Conclusion:During the current round of novel coronavirus epidemic in Shanghai, PICU in our hospital formulated the admission and ward management procedures for critically ill children, which ensured the prevention and control of nosocomial infection of novel coronavirus, and at the same time ensured the treatment of critically ill children to the greatest extent.

At present, fatigue state monitoring of upper limb movement generally relies solely on surface electromyographic signal (sEMG) to identify and classify fatigue, resulting in unstable results and certain limitations. This paper introduces the sEMG signal recognition and motion capture technology into the fatigue state monitoring process and proposes a fatigue analysis method combining an improved EMG fatigue threshold algorithm and biomechanical analysis. In this study, the right upper limb load elbow flexion test was used to simultaneously collect the biceps brachii sEMG signal and upper limb motion capture data, and at the same time the Borg Fatigue Subjective and Self-awareness Scale were used to record the fatigue feelings of the subjects. Then, the fatigue analysis method combining the EMG fatigue threshold algorithm and the biomechanical analysis was combined with four single types: mean power frequency (MPF), spectral moments ratio (SMR), fuzzy approximate entropy (fApEn) and Lempel-Ziv complexity (LZC). The test results of the evaluation index fatigue evaluation method were compared. The test results show that the method in this paper has a recognition rate of 98.6% for the overall fatigue state and 97%, 100%, and 99% for the three states of ease, transition and fatigue, which are more advantageous than other methods. The research results of this paper prove that the method in this paper can effectively prevent secondary injury caused by overtraining during upper limb exercises, and is of great significance for fatigue monitoring.
