BACKGROUND:Zinc-based alloy medical implant materials have excellent mechanical properties,complete degradability and good biocompatibility,and are mainly used in orthopedic implants,cardiovascular stents,bile duct stents,tracheal stents,nerve catheters,etc. OBJECTIVE:To review the research progress of biodegradable zinc-based alloys in bone defect repair and prospect the promising research direction and achievements of zinc-based materials. METHODS:After searching PubMed,Web of Science,WanFang Data,and CNKI databases from the establishment of the database to June 2023,various relevant articles on biodegradable zinc-based alloys for bone implant material research were collected.The basic characteristics of biodegradable zinc based alloys were summarized,and the role of zinc-based alloys in promoting bone tissue repair was sorted and summarized.The current research hotspots and shortcomings were discussed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)Zinc-based alloys have good biocompatibility.Using zinc-based alloys as the matrix material,with the help of scaffold structure construction technology and coating optimization process,the bone conductivity of zinc-based alloys will be effectively improved,and their degradation products will have efficient bone induction to regulate the gene expression of osteoblasts and osteoclasts,thereby promoting the repair and reconstruction of bone defects.(2)However,in the research on optimizing zinc-based alloys,the coating process is relatively insufficient,and additive loading technology is still lacking.(3)Zinc-based alloys have excellent mechanical and biological properties.Through special processes,their bone conductivity and osteoinductivity can be increased to effectively improve their ability to promote bone repair and reconstruction,and it is expected to further achieve the development of personalized transplant materials.Further research and development are needed to optimize the integration of coating and additive loading technologies into zinc-based alloys.

The construction of health culture is a crucial factor for the sustainable development of public health. It is also one of the key driving forces for consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation， effectively linking rural revitalization， and benefiting the well-being work in Xinjiang’s people. To play the role of health culture in shaping the soul and cultivating the foundation of well-being work in Xinjiang’s people， it is necessary to clarify the necessity of integrating health culture into Xinjiang’s governance strategy and medical assistance， and to analyze the logical causes of cultivating people through culture and nourishing the essence through literature. This paper specifically analyzed and sorted out the development process and achievements of the Party Central Committee’s medical and health assistance to Xinjiang during the socialist construction period， the reform and opening-up， and the new era. It also dissected the problems and challenges of healthy cultural moistening Xinjiang from the perspective of cultural moistening Xinjiang in the new era， such as weak medical conditions， prominent health problems， a lack of health awareness among grassroots people， as well as insufficient emphasis on education， construction， training， and development of the “great health” culture. The convergence and integration of Xinjiang’s governance strategy and health culture moistening Xinjiang will be realized， thereby safeguarding the well-being of Xinjiang’s people through implementing the national health plan， strengthening the education of public health and wellness skilled personnel， establishing and perfecting the training and continuing education system for health technicians in Xinjiang， and establishing the concept of a “great health” culture.

At present, the incidence and mortality of tumors are increasing, and the treatment of tumors has attracted much attention. Radiotherapy is a key method for tumor treatment; however, its effectiveness is often constrained by radioresistance. During tumor radiotherapy, DNA damage response (DDR) is a key factor in the radioresistance of tumor cells. Research has shown that the radiosensitivity of tumor cells can be effectively improved by regulating the expression of key proteins in the DDR pathway. Targeting the DDR signaling pathway has become an effective strategy to reduce tumor radioresistance. This article focuses on the mechanisms, clinical research status, limitations, and current challenges associated with the key DDR proteins DNA-PKcs, ATM, ATR, and PARP as therapeutic targets for tumor radiotherapy sensitization, in order to provide a reference for the development of radiotherapy sensitization agents.

Objective To calculate the absorbed doses and conversion coefficients of various organs in humans after oral administration of urea-¹⁴C, and to provide a convenient method for evaluating the internal radiation dose caused by ingestion of urea-¹⁴C in Chinese population. Methods The Chinese reference human voxel model was imported into the FLUKA software to simulate the absorbed doses to organs under internal exposure to ¹⁴C, and to obtain the dose conversion coefficients for oral administration of urea-¹⁴C. Results The absorbed dose conversion coefficients for the stomach, colon, bladder, heart, and muscles were 0.029, 0.029, 0.32 (0.24), 0.028, and 0.029 mGy/MBq in negative cases, and 0.079, 0.078, 0.18 (0.15), 0.076, and 0.080 mGy/MBq in positive cases. The committed effective dose coefficients were 0.041 (0.037) mSv/MBq in negative cases and 0.082 (0.081) mSv/MBq in positive cases. Conclusion The dose conversion coefficients obtained in this study can provide important parameters for evaluating the absorbed dose to Chinese population after oral administration of urea-¹⁴C.

Objective:To explore the prenatal ultrasound phenotype and genetic basis of two fetuses with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome (WHS).Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the ultrasound imaging data of two fetuses suspected for WHS at the Prenatal Diagnostic Center of Qingyuan People′s Hospital in July 2017 and August 2019, respectively. Amniotic fluid samples of the two fetuses were subjected to chromosomal karyotyping and chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA). This study was approved by Medical Ethics Committee of the Qingyuan People′s Hospital (Ethics No. IRB-2022-064).Results:Prenatal ultrasound examination of the two fetuses had consistently revealed WHS-associated traits including intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), craniofacial abnormalities and cardiovascular anomalies. Karyotyping analysis suggested that both fetuses had harbored cryptic chromosomal translocations involving partial deletion of 4p. And parental verification revealed that it was de novo for fetus 1 and paternal for fetus 2. CMA has confirmed that fetus 1 had an approximately 8.7 Mb deletion at 4p16.3p16.1 and a 6.8 Mb duplication at 8p23.1p23.1, whilst fetus 2 had a 20.05 Mb deletion at 4p16.3p15.31 and a 7.66 Mb duplication at 9p24.3p24.1. The karyotype of fetus 1 was determined as 46, XN, der(4)t(4; 8)(p16.1; p23.1)dn.arr[hg19]4p16.3p16.1(68345_8721580)×1, 8p23.3p23.1(158048_6933745)×3, and that of fetus 2 was determined as 46, XN, der(4)t(4; 9)(p15.3; p24)dpat.arr[hg19]4p16.3p15.31(68345_20116061)×1, 9p24.3p24.1(208454_7868292)×3. Conclusion:The 4p deletion is probably the main cause for the WHS phenotype in both fetuses. WHS should be suspected when IUGR, renal anomalies, craniofacial and cardiovascular abnormalities are detected upon prenatal ultrasound screening.

Purpose/Significance To analyze relevant patented technologies,and to provide experience for medical and commercial health insurance institutions to break through the data interaction blocking point and construct a multi-level medical security system.Method/Process The patentometrics method is used to analyze the data interaction patent technology between medical and health insurance institutions from four aspects:time trend,regional distribution,category distribution and text clustering.Result/Conclusion China should pay attention to the role of data interaction in deepening cooperation between medical and insurance institutions,improve the declaration,authorization,application and protection of high-quality patents,pay attention to cross-border integration and technology-driven,and innovate patent layout to meet technological development and social needs.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the genetic basis for a fetus with club foot detected upon mid-pregnancy ultrasonography. METHODS: Amniotic fluid of the fetus and peripheral blood samples of its parents were collected and subjected to G-banding karyotype analysis and copy number variation sequencing (CNV-seq). The result was verified by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). RESULTS: The fetus and its parents all had a normal karyotype. CNV-seq analysis revealed that the fetus has harbored a 23.12 Mb on chromosome 5 and a 21.46 Mb duplication on chromosome 7. FISH assay has verified that its mother has carried a cryptic t(5;7)(p14.3;q33) translocation. CONCLUSION CNV-seq combined with FISH can effectively detect cryptic chromosome aberrations, and can help to reduce severe birth defects and provide a basis for prenatal genetic counseling.

We conducted a prospective study to assess the non-inferiority of adjuvant chemotherapy alone versus adjuvant concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) as an alternative strategy for patients with early-stage (FIGO 2009 stage IB-IIA) cervical cancer having risk factors after surgery. The condition was assessed in terms of prognosis, adverse effects, and quality of life. This randomized trial involved nine centers across China. Eligible patients were randomized to receive adjuvant chemotherapy or CCRT after surgery. The primary end-point was progression-free survival (PFS). From December 2012 to December 2014, 337 patients were subjected to randomization. Final analysis included 329 patients, including 165 in the adjuvant chemotherapy group and 164 in the adjuvant CCRT group. The median follow-up was 72.1 months. The three-year PFS rates were both 91.9%, and the five-year OS was 90.6% versus 90.0% in adjuvant chemotherapy and CCRT groups, respectively. No significant differences were observed in the PFS or OS between groups. The adjusted HR for PFS was 0.854 (95% confidence interval 0.415-1.757; P = 0.667) favoring adjuvant chemotherapy, excluding the predefined non-inferiority boundary of 1.9. The chemotherapy group showed a tendency toward good quality of life. In comparison with post-operative adjuvant CCRT, adjuvant chemotherapy treatment showed non-inferior efficacy in patients with early-stage cervical cancer having pathological risk factors. Adjuvant chemotherapy alone is a favorable alternative post-operative treatment.

Objective:To investigate the influencing of inferior mediastinum and esophageal hiatus lymph node metastasis by submucosal different venous divisions of esophagogastric junction (EGJ) invaded in Siewert type Ⅱ adenocarcinoma of esophagogastric junction (AEG).Methods:The retrospective case-control study was conducted. The clinicopathological data of 547 patients with Siewert type Ⅱ AEG who were admitted to Shanxi Cancer Hospital from January 2018 to December 2021 were collected. There were 461 males and 86 females, aged 61 (range, 33?75)years. Observa-tion indicators: (1) lymph node metastasis rate in different groups; (2) influencing factors of inferior mediastinum lymph node metastasis in Siewert type Ⅱ AEG; (3) influencing factors of esophageal hiatus lymph node metastasis in Siewert type Ⅱ AEG. Measurement data with normal distribution were represented as Mean± SD, and comparison between groups was conducted using the t test. Measurement data with skewed distribution were represented as M(range) or M( Q1, Q3), and com-parison between groups was conducted using the Mann-Whitney U test. Count data were described as percentages or absolute numbers, and comparison between groups was conducted using the chi-square test. The univariate analysis was conducted using the corresponding statistical methods based on data type. The Logistic regression model was used for multivariate analysis. Results:(1) Lymph node metastasis rate in different groups. The lymph node metastasis rate in No. 1, 2, 3, 4sa, 4sb, 7, 8a, 9, 11,20, 108, 110 of the 547 patients was 17.37%(95/547), 6.76%(37/547), 46.44%(254/547), 1.65%(9/547), 1.10%(6/547), 23.22%(127/547), 4.39%(24/547), 3.11%(17/547), 3.47%(19/547), 3.66%(20/547), 0.55%(3/547), 4.20%(23/547), respectively. Of the 547 patients, there were 456 cases with proximal of AEG invading submucosal palisade venous of EGJ including 4 cases with inferior mediastinum lymph node metastasis and no case with media mediastinum or up media-stinum lymph node metastasis. There were 91 cases with proximal of AEG invading submucosal perforator venous of EGJ including 18 cases with inferior mediastinum lymph node metastasis, 3 cases with media mediastinum lymph node metastasis and no case with up mediastinum lymph node metastasis. (2) Influencing factors of inferior mediastinum lymph node metastasis in Siewert type Ⅱ AEG. Results of multivariate analysis showed that age, tumor invading submucosal perforator venous of EGJ and histological classification were independent influencing factors for inferior media-stinum lymph node metastasis of Siewert type Ⅱ AEG ( odds ratio=0.93, 23.33, 0.31, 95% confidence interval as 0.87?0.99, 4.18?130.28, 0.12?0.78, P<0.05). (3) Influencing factors of esophageal hiatus lymph node metastasis in Siewert type Ⅱ AEG. Tumor invading submucosal perforator venous of EGJ was an independent influencing factor for esophageal hiatus lymph node metastasis of Siewert type Ⅱ AEG ( odds ratio=14.95, 95% confidence interval as 2.46?90.76, P<0.05). Conclusion:Age, tumor invading submucosal perforator venous of EGJ and histological classification are independent influencing factors for inferior mediastinum lymph node metastasis of Siewert type Ⅱ AEG, and tumor invading submucosal perforator venous of EGJ is an independent influencing factor for esophageal hiatus lymph node metastasis.

Periarticular fracture of the shoulder is a common type of fractures in the elderly. Postoperative adverse events such as internal fixation failure, humeral head ischemic necrosis and upper limb dysfunction occur frequently, which seriously endangers the exercise and health of the elderly. Compared with the fracture with normal bone mass, the osteoporotic periarticular fracture of the shoulder is complicated with slow healing and poor rehabilitation, so the clinical management becomes more difficult. At present, there is no targeted guideline or consensus for this type of fracture in China. In such context, experts from Youth Osteoporosis Group of Chinese Orthopedic Association, Orthopedic Expert Committee of Geriatrics Branch of Chinese Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, Osteoporosis Group of Youth Committee of Chinese Association of Orthopedic Surgeons and Osteoporosis Committee of Shanghai Association of Chinese Integrative Medicine developed the Chinese expert consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporotic periarticular fracture of the shoulder in the elderly ( version 2023). Nine recommendations were put forward from the aspects of diagnosis, treatment strategies and rehabilitation of osteoporotic periarticular fracture of the shoulder, hoping to promote the standardized, systematic and personalized diagnosis and treatment concept and improve functional outcomes and quality of life in elderly patients with osteoporotic periarticular fracture of the shoulder.
